Guest Reviews
- Ann (8/5): An enjoyable and comfortable stay in a well located cottage. - Location was great. Very close to all main amenities. Beds very comfortable. Well equipped Toilet was slow to quieten down after flushing and started to flush again! Very annoying during the night, having to keep getting up to stop it. Must be wasting considerable amount of water!
Very difficult to locate the property. Having the name of the cottage outside would be of considerable help. More detailed directions would have been really useful.
- Hiedi (10/5): Fantastic property, ideal for a couple or family! Had everything we needed, 2 mins walk to the harbo - Fantastic property, ideal for a couple or family! Had everything we needed, 2 mins walk to the harbour / shops / pubs / dog walks! 5 min drive to Holkham, Amazing beaches! Garden could of had a bit of a tidy, but fine for the time of year, and what we needed
- Janette (9/5): It was a secluded base in a good location to explore Wells - We liked the spacious feel it had everything we needed for our stay There wasn’t anything we didn’t like
- David (9/5): Had a lovely stay , was nice to leave car and walk everywhere this property suited our needs for this sort of break - Location was great had everything we needed Bit of delay getting in dew to cleaning
- Amanda (6/5): Excellent location with parking - Excellent location and good size propert for 2 Perhaps some lamps in lounge to make it more cosy in the evenings.
Front door seemed problematic on occasions
- Sally (9/5): -
- Rachel (8/5): Perfect location, lovely property. - Location is fantastic. Such a close walk to town. Parking super easy. Great to have a little garden, which was handy with our dog. Well stocked with everything you need in the kitchen etc… Nothing really as met all our requirements! Slight maintenance issue with the toilet flush but other than that didn’t have any complaints - great little property, would stay again!
- Caroline (10/5): Lovely quiet property, conveniently positioned just a short walk from harbour and town. -
- Martin (9/5): Crab cottage weekend - We liked the area, and the cottage very much No where to put your clothes in the shower, otherwise very good.
No outside light, and bathroom sink plug needs replacing.
- Chris (10/5): - All good. Easy to park, modern and clean, close to the town. Nothing.
- Louise (10/5): Perfect little getaway! - Great location, easy walking distance into town centre full of great shops & pubs. We drove to the beach which was only 5 minutes away. The cottage was clean, comfortable and perfect for our stay with dogs. We would 100% recommend (and already have!), we will be back for sure! Nothing!
- Margot (9/5): Ideal for us due to location and facilities. - Lovely comfortable cottage with parking and a garden to sit out in. Good sized bedrooms and the whole place fet welcoming. The toilet is a bit temperamental . Minimal pots and pans if you were cooking but we didn’t.
- Michele (8/5): We had a lovely stay - Location
Single storey Problem with door lock
- Mark (9/5): - Fantastic area good for parking nine and relaxed we would visit again. The only thing really on Sundays shops and pubs close earl and no were to watch sports like football no sky in pubs nothing really we had a fantastic weekend.
- Keith (9/5): - The convenience of the location
Parking outside cottage
Comfortable well equiped cottage For us it worked well
- Lee (9/5): Host was so helpful -
- Peter (9/5): relaxing - plenty of parking, clean and comfortable and within walking distance of everything.
- Nick (10/5): A gem of a place! Ideal for staying and walking into Wells. - Perfect for the three of us and our dog! The whole accommodation was superb and the location and parking were spot on. Great facilities provided throughout and we will definitely book again. Thank you!
- Colin (9/5): - Parking, garden, comfortable.
- Michael (9/5): -
- Phillipa (8/5): - Comfy bed. Heating was very good. Great location. A lamp in the lounge area would be lovely, overhead lights very harsh. I don't think this property is suitable for 4 adults, too small.
- Anna (9/5): Lovely break - Bed really comfortable ideal location Nothing
- Jim (9/5): Perfect for a couples get away with a pet - Great location. Everything we needed. Lovely and warm. Comfy bed. No name or door number on cottage. No key box code given. Also another Crab Cottage in area made it difficult to know we were at the correct place!
- Swann (9/5): - Quite off road parking. Not that easy to find with sat. nav. Cottage name would help.
- Chris (10/5): -
- Paul (7/5): -
- Hulme (10/5): Comfortable and warm - Everything about this property was excellent
- Janet (9/5): -
- Gary (9/5): -
- Shirley (8/5): - had everything that is required. Bed comfortable and plenty of what was needed in kitchen. Front door stuck a little on one occasion. Couldn’t lock the door so was left open whilst out
- Elizabeth (10/5): Great place to stay - Clean, comfortable and good location. Tea, coffee and milk welcome
- Allison (9/5): Fantastic weekend away - Fantastic location and great property.
- Keith (9/5): - Easy parking a central to all amenities Arrived in the dark and no name on the accomodation
- Abi (8/5): Brilliant overall! - Overall the property was great and had everything we needed. It’s nicely decorated and felt clean. Bedding and towels were all freshly washed and smelled lovely. They have a little drawer of entertainment options (i.e. books/magazines) which was a great touch! We added some leaflets of local attractions that we picked up, for the next people to use. The location was perfect, only a 10 min walk from the high street/harbour. Lots of food options and shops nearby. We found alpacas a few minute walk away too which was a welcomed surprise. We went on a seal trip which was incredible, this was just a 15 minute drive away. Finding the property was not easy, signage would help. The ventilation in the bathroom wasn’t great, everything stayed wet till the next morning after a shower. The plumbing goes through one of the bedrooms, so it kept waking me up throughout the night as it was so loud. Also the keys were just left in the door upon arrival and the light was left on in bathroom, it made getting in very easy which is great but we felt like we were walking in on people staying there. We thought maybe there was a double booking at first. It didn’t feel right and we entered with caution rather than excitement. A floor lamp is needed in the living area, either you have the main lights on or you sit in darkness - there’s no in between. Lastly, the code we were given for the lockbox was wrong.
- Elizabeth (7/5): Ideal location and good value for money. - Nice and close to the town. Clean, lovely shower The mattress needs replacing
- Andrew (8/5): - Clean and comfortable Difficult to find as there are no signs on premises
- Jane (10/5): The owners couldn but they - The proximity to all things to do in Wells Absolutely nothing
- Graham (10/5): Comfortable well equipped and convenient tly located -
- Keith (8/5): Great location and pet friendly. Would visit again. - Excellent location. Quiet street. Close to Wells harbour and town. Well equipped accommodation and great for a visit to beautiful Wells. Unfortunately we had to cut our visit short due to a health issue but this was just unfortunate timing for us. Only real downside was property not having a name plaque and was difficult to find especially as there was a road closure in place at the time we arrived.
- Michelle (10/5): Loved it. Will be returning. - Modern furniture and comfort. Own parking . Short walk from amenities and quay.
- Lyn (10/5): - Accommodation was very comfortable and clean all homely comforts, lovely garden area for our fur baby to explore 😀 Nothing
- Rebecca (8/5): Lovely location, would recommend - The beds were extremely comfortable and the place very clean.
Good parking. No barbecue as advertised.
Bamboo is taking over the garden
Information folder could be much better
- C (9/5): - The location is fantastic and it has plenty of parking.
- Sylvia (9/5): Excellent stay and accommodation. Would recommend and re-visit. Owners very responsive. - Proximity to town/sea. Had all the facilities we needed. Also own small private courtyard area. We didn’t use it but it had air conditioning. Comfy beds and pillows. Hard to find fault to be honest. No spare loo roll (only 2 rolls for 2 nights). Would have been good to have a new dishcloth as one left by cleaners smelt musty so didn’t want to use. There was a dishwasher.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Really good stay would recommend -
- sarah (9/5): -
- Sarah (10/5): -
- Helen (8/5): Excellent one-night stay for cycle touring. - Lovely flat, ideal for us as 2 friends cycling the Rebellion Way together. Secure garden for our bikes overnight. Very comfortable and well-equipped, and an easy stroll down the hill to the quay. Helpful owner. Exactly what we needed. Nothing
- Sally (8/5): - Good location for the town centre Shared driveway, we were blocked in on our last night stay which could have been an issue if we had an emergency.
- Natasha (9/5): Superb - Great amount of space and really clean. Perfect location for Wells. Kitchen fully equipped with utensils etc Beds could have been comfier but that is personal preference
- Tina (7/5): Location fantastic !!!!! If WiFi is improved then we would definitely stay again and highly recommend - Location, clean and comfortable Definitely the WiFi poor so no reception for television!
No iron, need new bin and garden needs attention but only minor issues
- Paul (10/5): Crab Cottage was the perfect place for us. Clean, tidy and super comfortable with everything required for a great stay! - It was perfect - clean and tidy with everything you require. 5 minutes from the quay. Parking is easy and ideal for unloading. Also, the private garden was much appreciated. Nothing! We loved everything!
- Peter (9/5): Near to town centre and liked sitting out in the patio area - are Need to have sign stating it is crab cottage, took us a little while to find.
- Simon (9/5): Superb -
- Ryan (10/5): Exceptional - The shower drain was blocked
- Kim (9/5): Lovely well equipped cottage, perfect location worth a fully enclosed garden which was perfect for our dog - Well equipped and enclosed garden area for our dog. Really good location just back from the quay at the Jolly Sailor end of Wells The only thing I could find fault with was the bin lid didn’t work, which did not affect the overall experience, the comment is for information
- Graham (6/5): Short stay in Wells Next The Sea - Handy location, within walking distance of town centre. Good for a short stay. Sofa and bed were low and a bit difficult to get up from. Could have been cleaner. There were a couple of cobwebs. Shower needs new sealant.
- Samantha (8/5): It was exactly what we wanted and expected. The location was perfect - Locality of cottage. Very welcoming and a relaxing space. There wasn't anything else that we needed from the cottage. All was provided and presented well.
- Nia (9/5): Perfect spot for a short break to Wells. - Modern cottage, easily walkable to everything in Wells.
- Charlotte (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sara (10/5): We Would highly recommend Crab cottage - Lovely property in a good location close to all that Wells next the sea has to offer. Enclosed rear courtyard garden for our dogs.
- Madelyn (9/5): Fabulous mini break in beautiful Wells - Amazing three day stay at Crab Tree Cottage. Exactly what we wanted and needed. Great location. Literally a 3/5 minute walk to the quay. Great bed bedding towels furniture etc,,,
- Colin (10/5): Fab - Excellent location and has everything you need.
- Nina (10/5): Superb cottage in Wells - We hope to return - Superb location. Very clean and the facilities were fantastic. Thank you very much 😊 N/A
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Parker (10/5): Very close to eminities, very clean, well laid out, very suitable for family of 4. Will book again, - Loved the accommodation, spotlessly clean, very comfortable, great bed , bed linen & pillows. Garden perfectly safe, enclosed for our dog. Didn't realise how close to the Quay we were. Was amazing. Nothing
- Russell (10/5): Great weekend break - Centrally located, very clean . No problems at all. 👍
- Pamela (9/5): Everything we needed was provided. Wonderful stay would definitely recommend - It was everything the photos showed Maybe a wall mirror and shower caddy in the bathroom
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Caroline (10/5): Gorgeous, cosy, pet friendly property. - Gorgeous little cottage with off road parking and small garden. Tastefully decorated and furnished and a very short walk away from the quayside. Great location and pet friendly 🥰. Great venue for a weekend stay, if we’d been staying longer a washing machine and tumble would be useful. Outdoor sofa seating and fire pit would make it even better going forward in summer months.
- Simon (10/5): Great property will be coming again - Close to the sea front and shops Arrived in the dark and struggled to find the property, there was no sign to say crab cottage or a door number,
- Martin (9/5): So convenient and comfortable - Location, its dog-friendliness, the facilities and comfort. Had to put drain unblocker down the sink and shower as they were draining so slowly. No problem though
- Jacqueline (6/5): A great place let down by poor cleaning standards - Excellent location, with private car park and outdoor space on a quiet street. The heating worked very well. There were cleaning products available to use. Some of the bedding had a strong smell of perfume that was not the fabric conditioner, as I was unsure the bedding had been changed I had to ask to get it changed. The cleaning of the premises was not thorough. I found a half eat yogurt on the kitchen counter and breadcrumbs on dining table, chairs, cutlery draw and kitchen units. There was built up of limescale on the shower heads, I had to scrub it to get some water out of them. The shower dish floods because the drainage is almost blocked.
- Dale (10/5): Exceptional - Great location for the centre of Wells and for the quayside - A five minute walk to either.
Dog friendly, great little outside space and very nice facilities throughout. Would happily recommend.
Much more spacious than we expected and a lovely feel to the place. Nice and quiet, great to have a parking space and we would happily stay here again.
Lovely little place Internet TV was a bit iffy during our stay and the outside lights to the front didn't seem to work (not sure if it was us!)
Whilst the cottage was clean and tidy, there were one or two places that needed a bit of tlc - the bathroom window in particular had one or two cobwebs. Overall though it was perfect for our needs and we would definitely stay here again.
- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was perfect. The hosts were easily contactable, the accommodation was ideal for what we needed, clean, comfortable and the perfect location. We had a lovely stay!
- Anthony (8/5): A lovely warm property in an excellent location for a bird watching holiday in North Norfolk - A lovely warm, cosy property on some cold winter days. It was equipped with everything we might need. Good shower. The double bed was a bit soft for our taste.
- Denise (8/5): Lovely stay - Great location. Clean. Well equipped kitchen. Comfy sitting area Had to really think about a negative but could have had a bigger mirror in the bathroom and the double bedroom had no mirror at all.
- Danielle (10/5): Worth the money - Great location! Needs a name on cottage as could drive past.
Nice little
Garden for dogs
- Rachael (10/5): Exceptional - Location was perfect, Bed was very comfortable, Very well equipped, warm No sign on property to say it was Crab Cottage.
- Gary (10/5): Exceptional - spotlessly clean and very comfortable
- Ben (8/5): Very good -
- Claire (8/5): Suited our needs perfectly - Close to beach and amenities A lock on the bathroom door
- Annie (8/5): Very good - The only thing that could have been improved would have been if the property had had waterfront views. Obviously there's nothing they can do about that and the price reflects it. Nothing.
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional - Great little flat really close to the centre of Wells, the harbour and the coast path. Well equipped and comfortable.
- Joanne (6/5): Nice but in need of a refresh. - The location is great. Super quiet with easy access to the harbour and a nice walk to the beach. Lovely Chinese on the same street too. When I turned up at 3:30pm it wasn’t ready for check in despite it saying it would be ready from 3pm. The cleaner had the stripped down duvets on the wet driveway when I arrived. There are no name signs or instructions for the exact address so had I not seen the cleaner I would have had no idea where the property was. It’s nice but basic with the out door area in need of a really good clear up. The overriding reason for my review though is that it stunk. An overwhelming stench of dog masked with air fresher.
The place is in need of a really deep clean/freshen up as behind the furniture it is quite bad and felt in general a little grubby. Maybe an end of season issue.
- Jill (10/5): CRAB COTTAGE REVIEW - Great location, short walk to the quay and centre. Very well equipped and clean.
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Elizabeth (9/5): We were very happy there and would go again. - Lovely accommodation; comfortable, clean and great location. Very dog friendly and really nice owners who communicated well. No washing machine.
- Alistair (8/5): Very good - Well located for an easy walk to the town centre, and easy to park. Nothing, evening was fine.
- Peter (9/5): Superb -
- Susan (9/5): Very comfortable, pet friendly and close to all amenities - Good location. Close to the harbour and shops. Enclosed garden, safe for dogs.
- Jo (9/5): Superb -
- Jane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Louise (8/5): Very good -
- Mark (9/5): lovely stay - excellent location close into town. clean unexpected extras like tea coffee and milk on arrival was above expectations. difficult to find as no sign on the door. some challenges parking due to I assume cars from other cottages parking outside the cottage, nothing a bit of skillful reverse parking could not resolve. frosted glass on bathroom window would have been great.
- Chloe (8/5): Very good - The location was great with parking on site with a short easy walk to the sea front. The garden was fully enclosed for pets.
- Amanda (8/5): Beautiful base - Beautiful little cottage, very clean, modern, comfortable and quiet. Really needs a mirror in the bathroom, partner needed a shave and no mirror. Mirror also needed in master bedroom. Parking was a bit of an issue as 3 cottages together. We had one car but other 2 cottages had 2 cars each! Also we were given the wrong code for access.
- Beverley (8/5): Very good - Location was great ...place was modern clean and good out side area for dog .. Living area was very comfortable tv had all channels ie Netflix and load more ...walk in shower was really nice ...only thing would have liked is mirro in bathroom ...and sign on outside door as went in to wrong property when we first got there ...but soon got resolved..
- Kerrie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicholas (8/5): Very good -
