Guest Reviews
- Jonathan (10/5): Fantastic holiday in a house which is in a perfect location. - The house was in a great location and was just what we needed for our family holiday - 2 adults, 3 kids and 1 dog. The house was lovely and clean and was the perfect size to fit all of us in. Very close to a dog friendly beach which was only a 5-10 minute walk away.

- tony (10/5): Everything we needed. - Clean and everything we needed. Nothing
- Michael (9/5): -
- Eleanor (10/5): Lovely, well equipped, very dog friendly little gem. - Everything was great.
- Vanessa (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location very welcoming. Well equipped and super attention to detail.
- Bev (10/5): Comfortable stay within close proximity of the fantastic beach - The owner goes the extra mile to provide toiletries as well as basic kitchen provisions like salt and pepper, table sauces, oil, tea, coffee and sugar which all helps. Not to mention towels for dogs, washing up liquid and various cleaning products Found mattress a bit hard / thin in back bedroom but that might just be me and the pillows a bit thin and lumpy.
There really wasn't much to 'dislike'.
- Pelin (8/5): cozy getaway down by the sea, great location! - very cute cottage style house. a lot bigger than it looks. good size bedrooms and bathrooms . location was great, not far from Great Yarmouth and right on Caister beach.
I’ve read previous comments re the property not being suitable for kids, mine are age 2 & 6 and were absolutely fine. nothing not to like! bed mattresses could do with updating but fine for a few nights
- Vicky (9/5): Superb -
- Alison (8/5): Lovely Christmas week away near the coast - Great location not far from the beach and plenty of local amenities. Lovely house that had been nicely decorated for Christmas which we really appreciated. Had all the essentials on hand that we needed. It’s a lovely house very suitable for a couple or families with older kids though due to so many nick nacks and decorative objects it like felt we were constantly having to take items off our young children for fear of them breaking something. The stair gate at the bottom of the stairs was very helpful, something upstairs too would have been good though I guess a little tricky with the layout.
Only other difficulty is parking which is very limited and counts on the neighbours parking considerately, we had a couple of occasions where we couldn’t get parked at all and had to leave the car with family we were visiting, lots of yellow lines nearby.
- Dawn (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely place, very clean, everything you need, very close to the beach and shops, quiet at night.
- Stephanie (8/5): Very good - Great location, a short walk from the beach, a great pub, and the shops.
- Anne (10/5): Exceptional - Facilities fine clean and everything we needed
Close to all.places we wished to visit x Parking restrictions
- Bev (9/5): Great location in a charming, rustic beach and dog themed house! - The property was very welcoming with lots of creature comforts. Well stocked kitchen items and thought the supply of ketchup and brown sauce was a nice touch.
Large bedrooms with plenty of storage, large dining room - although do think placemats would be beneficial particularly as there's a beautifully rustic white wooden dining table that we were paranoid at spilling red wine or pasta sauce on! (We bought our own kitchen roll with us and used that 😊)
An abundance of towels both for humans but also for the dogs, as well as food bowls. The main bathroom was a fabulous size, wonderfully large shower and separate bath.
Excellent location both close to shops and also the fantastic beach at Caister. An absolute dream for dog owners. The use of the small garden was also lovely, with plenty of seating.
Finally, the owner was extremely responsive when there were a couple of hiccups during our stay. These were rectified very quickly which was appreciated. Lack of parking - which isn't the owners fault! If you're lucky you can park on the street within a few houses but sometimes not and then it's a struggle, particularly if weather not great and you're needing to unload or load up your car.
The property was freezing cold when we arrived (it was a rather chilly day when we arrived) so we put on the central heating but the lounge never really heated up very well - the rad is mostly behind the sofa. We did contemplate going out to get logs/bricks to burn but neither of us was confident with that kind of heating.
- Jay (10/5): we had an amazing stay at Dune cottage, Rainey had thought of everything the little touches in the cottage were amazing, - warm and cozy, lots of space, spotlessly clean and location was amazing, we didn’t use our car once, can’t wait to stay again nothing
