Guest Reviews
- Brenda Helen (10/5): - Different to other glamping experiences.
- Amy Isi (10/5): Great getaway - Really lovely cabin in a great area. Everything was clean and had such a nice stay! Nice addition of brownies left for us by the host - thank you! Nothing
- Caroline (9/5): I loved it ! - I loved my stay .. such a lovely place to have found ! real country side , without any interference .. the place is a bonus . Dog friendly too . Will return if possible . Thankyou Katy for guiding the only person without satnav , directions helped so much ! Caroline B Why ask that ? I guess maybe a few paper back books on the shelf , novels .. loads of train books .. not that magnetic to non train folk !
- Lucy (8/5): The views are something else. - Location was amazing. Carriage was amazing. Loved the goats Bed was too small for us so didn’t sleep well. And would prefer toliet and shower in the carriage but still love place and would stay again
- Estelle (8/5): Perfect weekend away - Everything except shared bathroom but I did know about this. The experience was worth it though Bathroom situation not my first choice hit it was always available when we wanted it
- Thomas (9/5): Very relaxing! - The location was perfect, the sun hit the cabin perfect on the morning. The valleys surrounding were beautiful for dog walks!.
- Maria Fernanda (10/5): The best glamping of the year - It was amazing, the place was beautiful, the room was georgious, the cabin was really comfortable and it had everything we needed and more, 10000% recomended Everything was amazing
- Loraine (10/5): - Beautiful accommodation in a stunning location
- Karl (9/5): -
- Gaius (10/5): Charming Place & People - The space, the quiet and the staff Nothing
- Debra (9/5): Stay in Station Master - Really lovely peaceful cabin Would have liked to be able to buy basic provisions in the shop. Only things for sale were drinks
- Campbell (10/5): -
- Geraint (10/5): -
- Elaine (9/5): - Dog friendly, catered for dog and human. Love the little dog shop shed. Would of liked toilet facilities in the garden of the glamping pod.
- Lisa (10/5): The perfect night away! - There was not one thing I did not like about this beautiful place. It was beyond my expectations and in the most beautiful setting.
Comfortable, clean and well equipped with lovely personal touches in the communal washrooms.
The convenience store and dog store were an added bonus and the walk around the grounds was stunning. Nothing at all! We would have liked to arrive earlier and leave later, which is a possibility if you request this in time and there is scope.
I learnt too late that you can request this through emails not a huge issue.
- Victoria (9/5): Superb -
- Will (10/5): Just lovely , - Calm great setting , I could have wrote my memories in a book :)
- Shania (10/5): Absolutely lovely would deffinately recommend and come back - Beautiful set up and thoughtful little extras we had fresh brownies which were delicious and thought the little help yourself baskets in the bathroom was very kind Nothing loved it all
- Rikky (10/5): Absolutely gorgeous, every small detail thought of - What a beautiful place, the whole set up is so cute. The hut we stayed in was just out of this world, every small detail has been thought of. Love the little shops on site. Only wish we’d stayed longer Nothing, it was amazing.
- Ingrid (8/5): enjoyed the venue and peace and solitude. Enclosed dog area a real bonus. - Beautiful countryside although venue itself wasn’t easy to find. I loved the exclusivity and quirkiness of all the accommodations. Loved the fact it was South facing and therefore had the sun facing us all day. Breakfast on a sunny verandah a real bonus. I loved the enclosed gardens for the dogs and their welcome treats. Would have loved a television ( particularly as I was alone) to help pass the time particularly if the weather is bad.
Mattress for me was uncomfortable for my joints overnight.
Sign on entrance gate for glampers could do with rewriting for easier clarity.
- Lee-ann (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jessica (7/5): Good -
- Jem (9/5): Amazing location and accommodation. - It was an amazing structure positioned with an amazing view. The attention to detail was fantastic. To be surrounded completely by wood was very cosy. The toilet block was clean and right opposite the cabin. The listing stated that it had a private bathroom which it did not. Also it didn’t have an actual bbq as stated. I asked the owner who kindly came over with a disposable bbq and said that they had asked Booking.com to change the listing to reflect the fact that the cabin has neither a bathroom or a toilet. The toilet/shower block is right opposite the cabin but the listing is misleading in this respect.
- Edwards (9/5): Great place, nice brownie. - Great place, thinking of returning sometime with my wife Shower didn’t warm up, but I’m sure that must be a one off.
- Jack (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lucas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Claire (7/5): A good one night stay friendly staff and dogs loved the space. - Quirky, quiet and just what we needed. No WiFi in the accommodation, the facilities(shared washrooms) are dated and could do with a refresh.
- Irene (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location, excellent hospitality
- Soraya (6/5): Beautiful place with NO barbecue and shared toilet. - The easy check in and check out. Beautiful views. quiet place. Property with all utensils: kitchen with all you need, toilet with many amenities. Comfy bed. The description mentioned 'barbacue' however, there is NO real barbecue, they give you one pack of disposable barbecue. Plus, the disposable barbecue was used already, not in the best condition.
That's NOT a barbecue, they should labeled right for the description.
We were planning to do a barbecue, we bought all the meat, vegetable and potatoes to have a barbecue but we couldn't.
Also, the description kind of make you think that the station master has their own toilet, but it hasn't.
The toilet is shared toilet with the rest of the houses around. They should mention that too.
It was a bit disappointing
- Henrike (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amy (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was just perfect and exceeded our expectations in every way! It was a little piece of heaven. We have already booked to go back in August!
- Sylviap13 (8/5): Really charming and unusually well equipped railway themed cabin - This is an exceptionally well equipped, completely charming, spacious and comfortable glamping cabin, with amazing attention to detail and so many thoughtful touches, like homemade welcome shortbread biscuits and fresh milk on arrival. The kitchen is particularly good for accommodation of this kind, including an air fryer and all utensils and cookware you could need. Beautiful private deck and garden too. Lovely comfy bed. Stunning, peaceful location. The Station Master was mistakenly listed here as having a private bathroom (I'm sure that will have been fixed by now). Obviously that would be unusual for this kind of rental but that's why we were excited to find it! And that made it a bit disappointing to find that in fact it shares a toilet block, with two toilets, two sinks and one shower, with the other three cabins on the site. The block is directly opposite the Station Master and clean and functioning with lots of free toiletries and extras like cotton buds thoughtfully provided. Apart from this, both the cabin itself and the toilet block were a bit heavy on air fresheners for my personal taste, and a bit light on mirrors. There's no full length mirror anywhere, for example, and the mirrors there are are quite dimly lit. That can obviously be quite a nice thing for an off-grid getaway though.
- Cathy (8/5): Beautiful location - Loved the location and the quirkiness of the property. Especially loved that it allowed my dogs
Lovely comfy bed.
- Claire (10/5): Absolutely perfect, tranquil setting for a complete getaway from busy lives. - Beautiful, unique property. So cosy and welcoming, clean and comfortable. The bed was really comfy and the little extras were lovely. Nothing!
- Mallorie (10/5): Brilliant! - Great little place, had everything I needed!
- Izzy (10/5): Exceptional -
