- Julie (8/5): Enjoyable..the children loved it -
- Sara (7/5): -
- Matthew (8/5): Defo come back again - Superb location close to everything superb flat everything you need would defo come back again Slight damp smell as you come in the flat and it does look like the building suffers with damp too and the area around the flat is very run down which doesn’t do the flat justice as the flat is superb
- Jill (10/5): Excellent location for walking to beach and town - flat is tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. - Stone’s Throw was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again. We wished we had stayed longer.
- debbie (8/5): Great short stay comfortable clean - Location Parking
- Julie (9/5): Very very good -
- Dianne (10/5): Excellent location and well equipped - Excellent apartment very clean and comfortable N/A
- STACEY (5/5): left a day early - The property had a really bad smell as soon as you walk in
The bed wasn't comfy and squeaks
Bedding wasnt clean
The neighbours are really noisy
- Dave (8/5): - How cosy and quiet the property was. I couldn't find a fault.
- Mihaela (8/5): Very pleasant. - Very close to the beach, very reasonable walk to the centre.
- Carl (7/5): Lovely and has all you need - Nice apartment with everything you would need perfect for a couple Smells of damp quiet badly in the hall
And limited parking outside first come first served and quiet a few workmen in the area with vans and skips taking most of the parking
Seems a lot of renovations in area
- Olivia (8/5): Very quiet pleasant stay , perfection location for wedding at the spa - Considering how the area outside looks, the flat inside is really lovely and spacious. The host was helpful when I didn’t have the code and answered straight away. I had presumed we wouldn’t sleep well with it being a flat and next to a road but we slept through and it was a very quiet stay! The bed squeaks when you move so could do with a different frame or wd40
- Maeve (10/5): Lovely place and great location - Lovely decor, everything thought of. Needed hardly anything. Comfortable and very clean. Great communication. We will be back 🌟
- Erica (9/5): - Beautiful property and in a great location. We love Scarborough anyway but the views from the next street were fantastic. Being very picky we would have loved a larger sofa to lounge abit more but we had a wonderful comfortable stay. The bed was very comfy too.
- Sharon (7/5): Weekend stay - The Apartment was clean and spacious, had everything we needed for a weekend stay Noisy neighbours upstairs
- Helen (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely well equipped apartment, very comfortable and excellent location. Lots of on street parking using the permits provided. 2 minutes walk to the path down to the beach .
- James (7/5): Good - Location was good Real strong smell when you walk in the property couldn't quite work out what it was.
- Kelly (6/5): No Air! - The layout of the flat was good and the bed was comfortable The windows of the property did not open, and no air was allowed in or out. Luckily we decided to take a fan with us as there was not one available in the flat, without which it would have been unbearable.
- Bryn (8/5): Excellent value for a short stay. - It’s situation was excellent close to the top of South Cliff. It was clean and well presented. Bed was rickety and noisy.
- Sarah (7/5): Lovely place but not suitable for wheelchair users - Stones Throw was spotlessly clean. Nice comfortable settee, good sized TV, and a well appointed kitchen with everything you need. A very quiet location and a pleasant stay. My wife is in a wheelchair and can use a Zimmer for short distances. It was difficult to get her wheelchair through the door from the street as the slightly raised step caused the wheels to get stuck on both sides. Once in, the hallway was fine and the front door of No1 was roomy and a straight walk to the bathroom then round a corner to the living room. Once I moved a chair and a couple of small tables my wife could easily get round using her Zimmer frame.
Unfortunately we both found the mattress far too soft and wobbly.
- Jacqueline (9/5): Scarborough Apartment - it is very well situated close to the sea front Maybe I'm being fussy but the beautiful front door need refurbishment
- Vimal (7/5): Would recommend for location but would be nice if the property focused on basics than aesthetics - I liked the general cleanliness, location Bed and bedframe needs an urgent replacement. Bed was wobbly and bedframe was squeaky. Had an uncomfortable sleep .
- Laura (5/5): Passable - Good location, short walk to the beach.
Unfortunately the apartment felt quite dark for us and lacked comfortable seating for two in the living room.
Great that this accommodation is dog friendly! However when we arrived there was a strong smell of dog.
The bed and the communal hallway could do with some tlc.
Great communication from host, who was able to provide parking permits :)
- Juliet (9/5): Very comfortable, would thoroughly recommend. - Perfectly located for the Spa. The property was lovely, clean with modern style. Great parking out front with a permit provided. Slightly squeaky bed was the only minor ick.
- Jane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shaun (8/5): Very good - Comfortable, everything worked, very clean, Had all facilities that we required, bathroom and kitchen and lounge were excellent. The bed mattress was too soft, and the local area was very run down. Perfect apartment, but let down with the location
- Mark (10/5): Solid well kept apartment. - The property has everything you need. Comfy bed, nice decor, large bathroom with large shower cubicle. Cosy living room area and kitchen which has tea/coffee/milk sachets, kettle, t-pot, microwave, oven etc. Clean throughout. Location is a short stroll to the seafront so ideal to get the views, breath in the sea air and get your bearings on where you want to may walk to. It's a 10 to 15 minute walk into the main town. Would recommend and would stay again.
- Linsley (10/5): Exceptional - This apartment is exceptional- very clean, warm and comfortable. It has everything you may need for a stay. It is only a couple of minutes walk to the South Bay cliff top, and 15 minutes walk into the town centre.
Would certainly stay here again.
Thank you
- Christina (8/5): Very good - The flat had a very cozy vibe which was great to come back to after an evening of rock orchestra and a day of venturing around. Great location. The parking was a good touch as it's hard to find someone that offers that. Very clean and tidy. The arrivals information was greatly appreciated and informative The bed mattress was extremely soft and genuinely felt like if I rolled over I'd just slip out. Almost felt like it was worn out. But other then that, it was all as expected.
- Wendy (8/5): Great 2 nights in Scarborough! - Great apartment, off road parking. everything spotless and everything you need for a short break! was able to leave the car and walk into Scarborough. Thanks for a great stay. The View from the pier great for breakfast! Askims for Turkish! stunning! need to book for both! The metal bedframe was a little incomfortable, if you want to sit up with your brew! The walk into Scarborough there are some step slopes, but you can use the lifts to get to the prom.
- Kate (10/5): Super accommodation - Stone's Throw was just lovely. Super clean and all I needed facilities wise, well laid out and everything easy to use or find if needed. Very convenient for sightseering and visiting the Spa for an event. Beautifully furnished, warm and cosy. Had a wonderful few days thanks to the comforts provided. Hard to fault it, no concerns from me.
- Scott (8/5): A comfortable stay a 15 minutes walk away from the centre of Scarborough - The facilities in the accommodation were exactly as described. The apartment was clean, tidy and comfortable. The area is a little bit run down but this is not reflective in the accommodation at Stones Throw.
- Eleni (9/5): Superb - The location was perfect and took less than 5 minutes to walk to the cliff top with a beautiful view over the North Beach. It took about 10 minutes to drive to the South beach, which allows dogs all year round. The flat was well stocked with everything we needed in the kitchen and also with towels and basic supplies for the bathroom and for washing up. Really beautiful flat, decorated to a high standard. Unfortunately there had been an issue with the hired cleaner and the flat had not been cleaned after the previous guests when we arrived, however Sarah was reachable immediately, was apologetic and arranged to have it cleaned within the hour. She was professional and we are pleased with her overall response to the situation - we would definitely recommend Stone's Throw to others :) There are several key safes on the front of the building and it took a while to locate the correct one! It's to the left of the front door.
- Beech (9/5): Lots of walking, very hilly but one of the nicest apartments we’ve stayed in - Beautifully clean and equipped with everything we needed Nowhere to recycle as we’d travels by train we were unable to take our rubbish home .
- Marzena (9/5): Superb -
- Luke (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kate (9/5): Superb -
- Becca (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely cosy feel perfect for a little weekend away , location was right where we wanted to be and staff were lovely
- Gordon (7/5): Definitely a good stone's throw, but pack a fan. - Very close to the Esplanade, clean, smart, modern apartment with nice furnishings and in good decorative order. Plenty of welcome coffees, teas, biscuits, kitchen roll, toilet paper, towels and shower gells. Excellent communication for entry via keys in lockbox. On street parking free if available, but if not, a reasonably priced (free overnight) public car park very close. Dog friendly and close to grass around the car park and Esplanade/cliff gardens. Easy walk to town centre and South Bay. Windows don't open and no fan or air-con provided, though this is mentioned in information given a few days before arrival. Apart from bathroom extractor fan and cooker hood, there is no obvious ventilation.
Mattress is comfortable but on a slung mesh base, meaning any movement by one occupant transfers to the other. No problem if both heavy sleepers.
Some shelving above the sink would have been useful.
- Ishrat (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment was clean and had all the necessary amenities. Great location. Less than 10 min walk into town and beach. Easy self check in and free parking is a bonus. We managed to park outside the property 😃 Can't fault the property or the owner. Sarah was very quick to respond to messages. Apart from the noisy seagulls and guano everywhere (expected when visiting the coast), we had an amazing time.
- Harvey (9/5): Enjoyed all the time there - It was very clean and homely Nothing
- Joanne (8/5): Very good -
- Chaz (10/5): Exceptional - It was a beautiful little home away from home that was located a few minutes away from the beach and the town centre. As soon as we walked in, I instantly noticed how clean it looked and smelled. It was really convenient that we could park the car right at the entrance, as parking permits are provided for so it saved us parking somewhere further lugging all our things. The facilities also had all the facilities we needed, including 2x pet bowls for our dog. Overall, it was a great stay and I would definitely want to come back here if we return to Scarborough. Nothing the owner could change - - because it is so close to the beach, there were a lot of seagulls around the area which meant the car was covered in bird poo after a few days 😂 so just be aware of this and maybe bring some wipes with you when you visit so you have something to clean your car when you leave. We were lucky enough to have brought some wipes with us.
- Angela (10/5): Exceptional - Clean and good location Bed was too soft a mattress for us and creaky bed.
- Cunliffe (9/5): Would definitely love to stay again - Like been home from home The parking on the second day I had to park two streets away
- Elaine (9/5): Superb - Flat had everything we needed. Not far to walk into town. The street/property doesn't look the nicest from outside but inside is lovely.
- Claire (9/5): Superb - Ideal location for all of Scarboroughs attractions and not far to a bus stop if going to other bay. Very clean and tastefully decorated. Even had an ironing board (didn't need it in the end).
Thank you for the tea/coffee and biscuits too, a bonus. Would wholeheartedly revisit. My only suggestion is to have a bin in the bathroom to avoid having to use kitchen bin
- Annette (10/5): Great break away at a lovely place 😊 - Loved the location and loved the open plan feel to the place Nothing
- Stephanie (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely apartment that was perfect for my stay.
- Dayle (9/5): Superb -
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarah (9/5): Defo worth staying and close to the beach - Beautiful little flat, great hosts
