• Calos (10/5): Relaxing, beautiful spot in the countryside above Heraklion - It was wonderful to experience village life with all the comforts of modern life. We booked this in the middle of our trip to Greece. It was a great place to recharge. Don’t miss the winery run by the same family. Our driving skills could have been better. We didn’t have confidence in our ability to navigate the tight dimensions of the driveway, but we fared fine.
• Leonora (8/5): A quiet rural apartment with pool in wine and olive country - No breakfast was included. There was a full kitchen though, so we could have made breakfast, but were there for only a few days so didn’t feel like shopping. There were several good restaurants for dinner a short drive away. It was a quiet neighborhood and felt safe. It was about 20 minutes from Heraklion and all the sights. There are several well known wineries near by with wine tasting programs. The hostess never send us the check-in information that they had said they would send. When at last I called up, she gave me the wrong combination to the key box. After much back and forth, she discovered she gave me the wrong combination. Afterwards no contact what so ever. There is no reasonable parking either on property or on the street. We ended up parking on a field that had a slight area that was not steep. This is not a property which would work without a car, since it is quite remote.

• Craig (9/5): Beautiful mountain villa in wine region of Crete. - The property was beautifully decorated and very comfortable with all that we needed for our stay. We enjoyed the grounds with the pool and beautiful view of the mountain side wine country. Everything was clean and well maintained. Host was there to greet us when we arrived. She was very welcoming and made sure we were settled in. The parking situation was not ideal.

• Debbie (10/5): You won't be disappointed! - This villa massively exceeded our expectations. The villa is massive, the outdoor area has a huge grill area with cretan over, plenty of sun loungers, a very clean pool, a hammock, toys for the kids and board games. The apartment itself had everything you could want with so many extras that make you feel very at home, there was even washing powder and softner provided, beer and wine in the fridge, and basics such as salt, sugar, honey, coffee and tea provided. There were plenty of towels provided and even got slippers! Location is a bit of a challenge to navigate with some narrow and steep roads but the village is beautiful and the locals are so friendly. When we return to Heraklion that is where we will be staying! Everything was perfect.
• Nikos (10/5): A Hidden Gem in the Hills of Crete - We had a wonderful stay at Devine Crete! The property is beautifully designed, fully equipped with everything we needed, and ideally located among the serene hills of a stunning area. It offers the perfect balance of comfort, style, and tranquility. Highly recommended for anyone looking to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of Crete in a peaceful setting. Two bathrooms would have been nice.
• Alar (10/5): - Very beautifully renovated villa in a small Cretan village. Not too far from the capital on in the wine country. Very clean and beautiful. Nice size pool and the host has lots of reccomendations what to do. Definately go to Arodamos Stone Grove for dinner in the next village. Traditional Cretan food and very beautiful restaurant. Parking was a bit difficult because of the hills, but not too much trouble.
• Lesley (10/5): Ten out of ten! - This property was an absolute gem. Located in a small village outside of Heraklion, it was the perfect escape yet close enough to access all you wish to see in the area. The property itself was absolutely beautiful. We stayed in the upper floor which is wonderfully renovated while keeping to the character of the home. We had access to the huge deck, yard and pool downstairs. There is a covered entertainment area and views across the valley to the neighbouring town. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The shower was fantastic and the overall layout was great. The added bonus of the washing machine was also appreciated. The high ceilings made it feel even more spacious and filled with light. The best part was the feeling of warmth and comfort, the moment you stepped inside. It truly was something special. I would not hesitate in booking this property again when we return to Crete.

• Christianna (10/5): Exceptional - Beautifully renovated stone house in a small village south of Iraklion. Many wineries around the area. The house has all amenities and is really comfortable and nicely decorated. A pair of slippers would be just great 🤗!
