Guest Reviews
- Stuart (3/5): The hotel that should be condemned. - The owners were ok.
Location ok The room was very small. The beds were cheap and unkempt. Mouldy bathroom and carpets.
The hallway and stairs leading through hotel very rickety and unclean.
Charging me a tenner to park outside when I could of simply parked across the road outside.
I knew what I was letting myself in for and it was cheap, but go there at your peril.
- Kenneth (1/5): - No breakfast Everything
- okoro (1/5): - The receptionist and the facilities
- Richard (1/5): - Nothing. Broken window.
Broken toilet seat.
No heating.
TV did not work.
- Joshua (1/5): - The bed was very comfy Window was broke, was letting in a massive draft as there was a storm. The window had tape across it to keep closed but didn't work, no hot water so couldn't have a shower, and the toilet was cramped into a tiny corner as you can see from photos
- Alan Roberts (1/5): - Hotel worest3 ever stayed in room put frist had big hotel in single room then toilets did flustered no water would fill up carpet dirty even given towel was full bleach. - SCOTT (1/5): - We was ripped off with these people
DO NOT STAY HERE
The hotel is the worst place in britain Wouldn't let my worst enemies stay here
That's how bad it is
- lucy (1/5): - Nothing. It was horrible. Pay for parking, pay extra for my pet, window was broken couldnt shut it, no curtains over road could see, no toilet rolls, bed was hard, paper covering the fan on ceiling, no towels, no milk, coffee, no tv working, rat in walls as lots of banging. I only stayed a few hours couldnt bear the cold. I not had a refund but waiting on it. Not answered me or booking.com . The place should be shut down. Its not fit for anyone.
- Paul (2/5): Not for me, didnāt stay - Location was good. Staff were attentive Tatty and old. Too grubby for me and I didnāt end up staying.
- Leonardo (6/5): - Fleas
- Ryan (1/5): Absolute joke - Nothink because they took my money for the room and on arival they had no room like how can they do that then it wreked my holiday as i drove all uo to blackpool to have no room whay a waste of my time so weekend break ending up being a day trip Staff overbooked and couldnt accomendate me after taking.money had to wait 5 days for money to come back absolutely avoid
- Zippy (5/5): Needs improvement - It was easy to get where I was going There was no tea kettle or TV in the room
- Leslie (1/5): -
- Matthew (1/5): - Nothing very dirty cant even sit on the tolite
- Gaurav (10/5): -
- Vincent (4/5): -
- Daniel (1/5): Very poor - It was very close to the Pleasure Beach which was useful. On arrival the owner had the nerve to try to charge me a late check-in fee even though I'd specified when booking the time I would be arriving. After arguing the charge was dropped.
The water in the shower was cold, the toilet didn't work, there was no TV in the room which is not what it said when booking.
I tried to complain but the staff were nowhere to be found. I wrote this in the book before leaving. I have stayed here before and it used be nice independent B&B. I won't be going again though.
- Christian (1/5): I didnāt stay in the end i arrived at the property and instantly didnāt like it and didnāt feel comfortable - It seemed clean There was no tv in the room, only a live electrical wire hanging out the wall, it had a strong smell of damp, and it took the staff about half hour to check me in even though I was the only one there
- Steve (2/5): Barely functional. - The location was very good. Perfect for pleasure beach and south attractions.
Was able to park on street opposite hotel. (may just have been lucky)
Linen was clean, Slept well - although I was very tired!!
Some staff were very attentive. Others less so. Dirt so thick on some services you could write in it...if you scratched through the crust.
No TV remote...but thats ok...the TV didn't have a signal anyway,
No towels. No soap or shampoo.
Yes there were tea bags and clean mugs....but the kettle couldn't reach the plug....oh except there was another plug socket...completely unsafe. Oh and no milk.
Bottom draw front in bedside table came off in hand showing sharp exposed pins.
Door was unlocked on entry...anyone could have messed with contents prior to arrival.
Top lock on door compeltely inoperative - well it was absent, needed to use bottom bolted lock which would have been dangerous if fire during night.
Late check in charge administered. Althought this was informed in advance I wouldn't have booked if I had been told at time of booking so little chance of finding alternative.
- Mohammed (1/5): Very bad condition hotel smells and unhygienic - Nothing Very bad property
Unhygienic smells too much walls and beds in very bad state
Very old building not in good condition
Will recommend not to book it

- Philip (6/5): - I called ahead of time to explain that my train had been cancelled and I would be arriving about 1030pm. I was told there was a late booking in fee of £20. Management would not listen and said that if I did not pay, then my reservation would be cancelled.
- Scott (7/5): Passable but could have been better - Was clean and comfortable Half a toilet roll & no staff around to ask for another, also got put in a different room to what we booked and no curtains on the window which faced private houses so they could see right into us
- Paul (1/5): -
- adrian (2/5): - Location was OK if going to funfair Parking should of bin 5 pounds per day was charged 20 for 2 days there was a dog in the neighbours that never stopped barking for most of the night won't be staying there again
- Faqir (3/5): - Location wise very good . Close to promenade and good parking on street . No staff ,, no towels or soap or toilet rolls . Basic outdated facilities. Poor sewage system. No curtains pr blinds on windows. Shouldn't be on booking.com
Adidas very poor and basic accommodation not worth the money they asking ..
- Bev (1/5): - Blackpool airshow The hotel was disgusting,mo towels bedding was discussing the family was shouting at each other till 2 in the morning no toilet paper
- Shelly (1/5): Shocking do not use - Absolutely nothing Left outside for 30 mins then charge 20 quid for late booking . Room not clean . No toilet roll or towels
Wall paper hanging off walls
I got bitten by something in the bed
No welcome greeting just wanted money
Ruined my birthday
- Raimonda (1/5): Bad -
- Kate (1/5): Terrible!! - I have requested a full refund and had no response. I checked in and out of the property due to the cleanliness of the hotel and lack of security. My bedroom door did not close and was told by staff itās ok they will look after my belongings. Everything
- Andrew (3/5): Poor - Better than a travel lodge. The staff were helpful. Bedding had been washed. Noisy all night, think people live in the rooms. Sometimes a smell of the drains. No hot water or soap, one small towel. Walls are like cardboard.
- Anthony (1/5): Shit - Nothing a dump Place disgusting
- Kevin (1/5): awful you couldn.t pay me to go back - Nothing The room was filthy, no light in bathroom, tv did not work, listened to rats in the walls most of the night absolutely disgusting place to stay. Would never recommend place needs to be shut down
- Tammy (2/5): Only came for 1 night, place is cheap so did the job but certainly not cheerful - Location wasnāt too bad and it isnāt expensive The facilities are shocking, the place is extremely run down and it smells dusty

I have put in for a refund I did not stay! TV did not work
No light in the bathroom (not working?
Kettle but no tea and coffee at all!

- Muir (4/5): Disappointing -
- Christopher (8/5): Very good -

- Justin (4/5): Disappointing -
- Joseph (1/5): Bad - nothing shower didnt work no towles not a clean room couldn't watch tv as family plus no hot water no toilet paper , plus chargered us 4 parking on private drive . we wouldn't sleep under the sheets in bed
- David (7/5): Basic but reflected in the price - It was a very basic room but this was reflected in the price so I canāt really complain. I stayed here for a stag do so wasnāt particularly looking for luxury, literally somewhere to sleep. For that it was fine. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.
- Gwen (1/5): very disappointed. - one night only .very poor facilities no wereto put or hang my clothes TV didn't work ,no heating ,air vent above my bed dirtyand cob webbs ,tape round floor socket ,old ceiling bulb no shade on it ,no were to put towel in wash area had to put it on the floor ,rusty metal shelving in ensuit tight toilet seating area .too many steep stairs .
- Amanda (5/5): Passable -
- Melanie (1/5): Didn't even attempt to stay after seeing the disgusting reviews of the hotel on Youtube. I have 3 young children and -
- Michael (8/5): Very pleasant stay -
- Anonymous (7/5): Good -
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wesley (1/5): Bad - Nothing Misplaced our key to the room and they tried to charge us £60 for a new key, we said no we will just leave and asked for our belongings they said no again until we pay £60....we then found the key and they still made us leave. The man who owns it was very abrupt and was shouting and screaming at us, his wife was trying to calm him down n let us stay but he was having none of it...he rang the police and made us leave at 2am in the morning. Its not the best hotel either...very unclean. I would avoid this place and its not worth £60 for the room either.
- Angus (7/5): Basic but fine for my needs. - Comparitivley cheap and the people were nice.
The telly didn't work (I didn't come to Blackpool to watch the telly) Really quite run down Actually that dosn't bother me)
The thing for holding the showerhead didn't!
- Carroll (5/5): Passable -
- Mark (7/5): Good -
- Adam (9/5): Great for the price. Would stay again - The Price
The Cleanliness
The Bed
- David (7/5): Good -
- Dean (1/5): Didnāt expect much with it being cheap but there was no hot water, No fresh towels, and no toilet paper.. I would have f - Nothing Everything
- Johnston (1/5): Bad - Nothing Tred to rearrange rooms to make us share instead of separate rooms
- King (4/5): Disappointing - Free parking. For the price of the room then it's acceptable for what you get I suppose. Poor shower unit, low pressure and only had semi warm water and uncomfortable bed. No toilet paper too.
- Shabina (5/5): Basic - value for money - The owner was very accommodating and moved me to a different room which he said was better than the room I had been given.
The room is basic - exactly what you would expect for the price
I didn't use the shower (I only stayed for 1 night) The tv didn't work but I could watch on my tablet using the wifi
- Daniel (1/5): Bad - Nothing Everything
- Stephen (8/5): Friendly staff and easy check in - Comfy beds, nice room and easy to find and park Shower pressure on top floor
- Mr (7/5): Nice and quiet - Comfy bed, very friendly and accommodating staff. Clean room. On site parking. Very quiet at night. Owner introduced himself and gave me a lowdown of the hotel and was always happy to help. Having to pay for parking but that seems to be the way of most hotels in the area.
Not the best view but due to the location I suppose it canāt be helped.
- Peter (8/5): Very pleasant will be back - Good location very comfy bed
- Jason (1/5): Shocking we was on a stag , but to have poo all toilet disgusting not clean run down arrogant the people who run it - Nothing not clean scruffy walk in and the guy snoring is back out had to wake him up like the desperate for money they put us in room the lock broke and my stuff was stuck in he had to break in , honestly booking .com should be ashamed to advertise these . Nothing it one of the worse properties I have stayed I would rather stay on street , no hot water had poo toilet seat not been cleaned , my friend came up and they charge me 25 extra for both night so we paid over 100 I would not be paid to stay there ,
- Sarah (10/5): Excellent very friendly atmosphere - The host Andy went above and beyond made us feel very welcome and was extremely kind and friendly also gave us a better room and was very accommodating with our little dog would definitely recommend and stay again going book again soon Sarah Justin &bella
- Dan (10/5): Exceptional - Absolute bargain and Andy the owner was a true gentleman
- Pritam (10/5): Exceptional - Not bad
- Rachel (7/5): Good - Staff were very friendly and made sure we felt welcome, even moving cars to enable us to park, bed was very comfortable Decor was a bit outdated, tv didn't work due to wrong power adapter
- Sharon (1/5): DON'T BOOK HERE - Nothing All of it
very filthy rubbish everywhere electric socket hanging off the wall tv don't work beds I refused to use in fact walk in saw the state of the place and left refused to let my dog stay here let alone my mother I rate it a minus 10 lost £100 booking this still hopeful for a refund
They should be ashamed to let these places, in fact, even the host isn't on site and had left by the time we went to room n came back down .No refund policy making it a scam cause no one would stay here and they don't care as already taken your money
Dont book here filthy dirty smells terrible
- Sean (9/5): Superb - Hospitality is second to none, treated like family and well looked after. Lovely couple who are honest hard working and friendly. Stairs! But it's Blackpool everywhere has stairs, room was massive btw, very comfy.
- Kathryn (1/5): Bad - In arrival hotel owner smoking in the lounge rooms would not unlock or lock people smoking the the rooms playing loud music. Rooms disgrace no curtains mattresses too small for beds no toilet rolls one barg room had a lamp drilled through the wall as a light no hanging rail in wardrobe the 20 minutes we stayed all bit by either fleas or bed bugs manager refused refund Everything disastrous lol
- Mam (10/5): Parking, Heating, Hot showers, Clean rooms, Clean bathroom, within walking distance for families. - The hotel confirmed prior to us booking they didn't provide breakfast so this question is N/A.
The hotel was lovely and clean, certainly not your standard Blackpool hotel, the beds were all new and the mattress was lovely and comfy and had mattress protectors on, there is no radiators in the bedrooms but they have a thick hot water pipe that runs through all the rooms that was on constantly, hubby took us on Valhalla on the pleasure beach and we were soaked and I didn't think we would get our trainers dried for the next day, but all 6 pairs of trainers were dried for the following day! Which I was thrilled about as if we had just a radiator it wouldn't of happened has also had coats to dry too, also some nights we had to open the windows as it got too hot (stayed in March and outside temp was 2c). The hotel guest Andy was very helpful provided us with menus of local takeaways and local advice of where to go to eat out at. Shower/bathroom was lovely and clean, we had a family room and a single room and both I was impressed with for cleanliness. Both rooms had TVs in with working remotes and new kettles and clean cups. If wanting to mooch about South Pier, Pleasure beach and Sandcastle this is all within walking distance, we ventured down to Mr Basrai's and the tower on our first night out and it cost £10.10 back to the hotel in a black cab, which was good considering it's over 2 miles away. On leaving we went to Hungry Horse (Air Balloon) just round the corner, so everything is accessible and close to this hotel. Would definitely stay again, good location, clean, and parking, with hot showers and heating and accessible for everything you want to do with a young family (and approx 300m up the road from Big Blue and hotel BLVD at a fraction of the cost). Better than most hotels I have stayed in and had running hot showers, heating and working toilets, so no faults to pick at, especially when using it just has somewhere to sleep after a day of activities. Next time we come will just book direct through the hotel as we could of got it £130 cheaper than using booking.com!!!! That's my only gripe and not a reflection on the hotel.
- Craig (8/5): Very good - For the money £24 for a room with single bed and ensuite with shower absolutely bargain. Quilt on bed to small and only one thin pillow, apart from that.
- Steve (6/5): Pleasant - Clean room No hot water
- Graham (1/5): Bad -
- Kishore (1/5): Bad - Nothing nothing Nothing
- John (1/5): Bad - We only booked for one night No hot water for a shower. No heating. We left without even getting a wash. The place smelled of dogs.
- Kishore (1/5): Please refund money thank you -
- Gina (10/5): Exceptional - Location No heating so cold with being november
- Tracy (3/5): Never again - Nothing No running water in sink. Tv not working
- Aaron (6/5): Not great but exactly as expected for money - Close to pleasure beach No towels provided, kettle and the and coffee but no mugs, shower was only cold, TV turned on but had no signal from aerial
- Anonymous (2/5): Had to leave after only one night of my stay due to no power or hot water, was refused refund by owner but am currently - Useful location and low price Had no power or hot water
- Yadgari (5/5): Basic but ideal for a place to sleep. - This was room only. we had a family roon that had plenty of space with 2 bedrooms, comfy double bed in one room and bunks beds and single in the 2nd room, with wardrobeand drawers. Had ensuit shower, toilet and sink but no hot water. Friendly guy there, very apologetic for a problem with the boiler which results in no hot water. Also, only had water pipes in each room to give off heat and as boiler not working it was cold during the night.
It was very basic and quiet. It was a last min decision to visit Blackpool so was cheap and we got what we paid for. Location is brilliant, just across the road from a tram stop and sea front and right behind the pleasure Beach. And. With parking available it was just what we needed. Can't complain as didn't go to spend lots of time in the room, just somewhere to sleep for the night. No hot water
No heating in rooms so was cold
- Samah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mrso'keefe (4/5): Disappointing - Cheap and cheerful
Polite and friendly staff * No door on the toilet just beading
* shower didn't get hot
*no light in the bathroom
- Nadanashanmugathasan (1/5): Bad - Location Very Very bad service
- Jazmin (1/5): Even though it was Ā£75 for one night I wouldnāt book here again. - Not much, bad smell soon as you enter the property but the room smelt clean Staff hard to get ahold of, smelt bad when you enter. Beds very uncomfortable, rooms very compact. Hardly any parking space. Staff were quite rude. Only one cup in room even though it was booked for 3 people.
- David (2/5): Very poor -
- David (7/5): Good - Great location and friendly staff. In need of some TLC but good for the price.
- Steve (3/5): Poor - Did not get breakfast Nil
- Helen (1/5): Old no hot water condiments no towels no TV tiny room no one around - Nothing Everything
- Holt (7/5): Happy owners - Very accommodating staff Could do with decorating
- David (8/5): Very good - Friendly staff, they were doing the place up when I was staying so I'm sure it will be looking nice soon. And the room and bed was massive. Was a little noisy but stopped before I went to sleep like I say they a doing up the place and it was a cheap room so good value for money can't really complain.

No hot water for a shower or wash, had to use kettle in the room in boil water to wash, kettle leaking, so Ariel so couldn't watch the tv, as Ariel in the room was hanging from the ceiling, on saw staff twice, no staff to help with things in the evening or morning
- Nigel (10/5): Exceptional -
