Guest Reviews
- Fiona (8/5): Spacious and comfy house for a large group and right opposite a pub - what's not to like! - We had 3 cars and managed to park two outside the property and the other close by. Although there is no outside space it is an ideal opportunity to walk 3 metres to the pub opposite and enjoy its suntrap patio! Lovely spacious house with huge kitchen and lounge - great venue for large groups. Very well equipped kitchen and air fryer was a bonus. Will defo be back. Just some feedback rather than a complaint - could you move the curtains from the hall outside the bedrooms to the bedrooms as only one bedroom has curtains and the light streams through the blinds early in the morning.
- Sitara_ (9/5): Great location and value for space - This place is great value for location, size and price. Very spacious home, with 4 large bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (1 with tub). 3 downstairs 1 upstairs. Kitchen was very large with chef grade gas powered stove and oven. Fully equiped with everything you need to cook family style meals. We also enjoyed the living area where there was plenty of space to lounge around and do some yoga. Very close to beaches for surf: Croyde, Putborough and Saunton. Perfect central location. Pub is right next door, backs into a church and bakery is a 10 min walk. Friendly and responsive host. Narow streets. The mattress in master was a bit soft but good enough to sleep. Downstairs rooms are cooler from lack of sun exposure.
- Jade (8/5): Handy location for Ash Barton lovely big rooms - Really large rooms. Lovely Christmas decorations. Very convenient for Ash Barton wedding. Well stocked. Parking was tricky especially as road is narrow will bollards but that's the same for the whole village. Luckily we were indeed able to park outside. Slightly musty smell.
- Helen (9/5): Great - spacious and comfortable, good location. - Location is great, in a quiet part of the village - 10 minute drive from Saunton Beach. Croyde is only 15 minutes away.
The rooms are large, the living room enormous with comfortable sofas, and the large kitchen well equipped, clean and modern. The upstairs shower was fantastically powerful too! Plenty of storage. There were body boards available which was a real bonus.
Location wise, the Black Horse pub across the road served great food too. Smell of damp in downstairs rooms - due I imagine to the stream that runs alongside the house, which is a listed building.
Parking was tricky when we arrived as someone had parked in the allocated spot - however this was not a problem for the rest of our stay. Curtains in some of the bedrooms to cut the light would be good (there were blinds). However, these issues would not stop me from booking this lovely house again.
- Mr Chris Burt (10/5): Lovely trip - Great hosts , very spacious house , massive rooms Nothing
- June (10/5): Fantastic house, excellent facilities and friendly helpful hosts -
- Matthew (9/5): Superb - Very spacious and comfortable house which was ideal for a three-generation family holiday.
We really appreciated the large kitchen and living area.
Having a stair gate and highchair was appreciated by our baby granddaughter. There was a surprising amount of pet hair on the living room carpet. This appeared to be an oversight of cleaning as the rest of the house was very clean.
The kitchen was well equipped but would be perfected by having another large pan and having a wok to go with the impressive wok burner on the hob.
- Paul (10/5): Great fun - The location was perfect and it was a major advantage being able to park in front of the garage door. Very clean with everything you would expect provided. Large rooms, especially the lounge. A really great place to stay
- Adam (9/5): Great large property in a village that has everything - large house in lovely village quiet location. 4 large bedrooms with huge living areas upsatirs only 1nr overhead shower, but along as happy to wait.. all.ok
- Joanne (10/5): Exceptional -
