Guest Reviews
- Laura (10/5): -
- Calvin (9/5): Churchtown modernised cottage - Quiet location in centre of Churchtown village. Cottage had been completely modernised since the last time we stayed. Great walk-in shower where the bath used to be. Comfy beds. Owners kindly left us prosecco, Christmas crackers and mince pies. Would stay again. There used to be a small table and chairs in living room area. Would be useful to have somewhere to sit and have a meal. Blind in twin room was broken so wouldn't close (was winter so not an issue for us).
- valerie (7/5): Perfect location for what we wanted, but with hindsight not the property for us due to staircase.i - Smelt of damp could have done with air fresheners to overcome that. Would recommend that a blackout blind is fitted to main bedroom as hardly had any sleep due to bed facing window. Stairs very steep so probably not suitable for pensioners, our fault, not property owners.
- Laura (10/5): Very clean and comfy - Just perfect The bed in the main bedroom was quite small
- Shona (8/5): - Great location in churchtown village.

- stephen (7/5): Great property, not for us - the cottage was really well laid out, very clean and well equipped. unfortunately, because the bathroom was on the ground floor and the stairs were very steep, the property did not suit OUR needs as one of our party had mobility issues. It would be better if this information was known prior to booking, not sure if this is a booking.com issue.
- Monica (9/5): Nice location and garden, but had some short comings. - Location to our family and the Botanical Gardens. Clean and had enough room for the 4 of us. We also enjoyed the garden. Left us 1/2 roll of toilet paper for 4 days; so first thing we had to do is get more. Garden gate did not latch properly and was banging throughout the night. There was a washer but no dryer or line to hang items on to dry. The WiFi password and directions were missing from the book and we had to find them in another drawer.
- Gail (9/5): - Clean beds were very comfortable, nice kitchen and bathroom .quiet handy for town centre .Complementary late check out Parking space a little tight to get out of
- Pauline (10/5): Great location in Churchtown village. - The beds, duvets and pillow combo all lovely. Fully equipped kitchen, nice shower. Lovely outside space. Place felt a little 'cold', not that I like clutter but there was a lack of anything homely. No coat hooks/shoe storage downstairs for wet/muddy items.
- Christopher (10/5): Absolutely ideal - Really quiet and comfortable Nothing
- Maria (9/5): Superb -
- Kirstie (10/5): Really nice place to stay, definitely value for money… a little bit of home away from home 💖 - Fabulous little mews cottage. We stayed for three nights while visiting family. The cottage is cosy and modern with exceptionally comfy beds, lush sofa’s for lounging in front of the generously provided streaming tv and a sumptuously big walk-in shower. Well appointed kitchen with all the mod cons you might need. Even serenaded by a local duck 😆 The parking bay is a little bit tight for larger/longer cars, especially if someone else is parked up. But we did ok reversing out again… just go slowly.
- Nick (10/5): Very good and excellent communication from Tifferny, we will be back next year to make it three years in a row - Location, cleanliness, owner Just one thing, the sofa’s aren’t very comfortable
- Bernard (10/5): Beautiful cottage in a great location - Immaculate finish. Wonderful location. Great staff.
- Caroline (8/5): Lovely, bright, well placed cottage with garden. - It's a lovely cottage, great location perfect for our needs visiting family nearby. Very clean, well equipped. Warm and well furnished.the beds were super comfy. Shower really good. Unfortunately there seemed to be some ants in the kitchen and bathroom.
- Steven (8/5): Very good - Fantastic location Everything was good
- Chris (9/5): Definitely stay again well recommended - Lovely modern clean property Could not get in up on arrival the owner came within five minutes to help us get in.
- Thomas (8/5): Very good -
- Brooke (9/5): Beautiful house in Churchtown - Really central in Churchtown. Beautiful house and interior. Had everything we needed. The property is fairly small but so well designed that it felt much bigger than it was. There’s no table to eat at - but there are two stools to eat in the kitchen.
- Sian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional - A fantastic property in a great location with brilliant service from the owner, we will be back again soon!
- Donna (10/5): Perfect - The location was perfect and cottage lovely and clean! Tifferny was lovely and nothing too much trouble. Its not that I didn't like anything but it was smaller than I thought. Next time I might upgrade and stay in their other cottage next door
- Amanda (9/5): Ideal Place To Stay When Attending Events At Meols Hall - Great location for Meols Hall as it's practically at the end of the venue's drive, so just a few minutes walk. Really comfortable, the beds in particular. It's furnished to a very high standard and spotlessly clean. The sheets and towels were also of a very high standard. Whilst not an issue for us, it's worth mentioning that the stairs leading to the bedrooms are quite steep and the bathroom is downstairs which could prove problematic for some.
The directions and instructions for entry via a lockbox were very clear and the garden and parking space were a good size too.
I'd definitely recommend Botanic Mews!
- Amy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stuart (10/5): Exceptional -
- Edward (9/5): 10/10 - Was very comfortable and relaxing No toliet upstairs, no drawers for clothes
- Paula (10/5): Fantastic base for family wedding but stairs were difficult for elderly family members - Privacy, decoration very nice , beds very comfortable Stairs were very steep
- Pacitti (10/5): Botanic mews - The cottage (mews) was absolutely spotless. It was so lovely decorated. The owner was so helpful when we needed advice on how to get into the cottage. She knew we were going to the airshow the weekend we were there and she sent us all the details of the show telling us times of the events. So lovely. Highly recommend. N/A
- Julie (9/5): Lovely stay - Excellent location. Very clean and tidy. Great shower. Missing a few items in the kitchen for cooking, Cafetiere. There is coffee machine. Friendly helpful staff, very pleased with our stay. It wasn't a problem but the toilet is downstairs. A few more coffee pods would be very welcome, we got 2.
- Lorna (9/5): We had a great stay here. Lovely cottage in a very nice area. Would definitely stay here again. - Lovely cottage in a really nice area. It had everything we needed for our short stay plus a lovely garden. Very clean. Easy check-in with all details sent by e-mail prior to arrival. Beware of low ceilings in living area and stairs, especially if your son is 6ft 2!
The quilts on the bed were a bit too heavy for us (obviously a personal opinion).
The shower screen seemed too short length-wise as the floor got soaked every time we had showers.
- Stuart (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, really nicely decorated and very clean.
would be great for a family or couple for a short break. nothing really
- Connolly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karen (8/5): Very enjoyable and at least as nice as we expected - Very clean, good location, good shower good space for two of us, not sure enough for four. But all round a good place to stay A mirror in the downstairs bathroom, location of the bathroom not ideal tbh, but a quality room all the same
- Kate (10/5): Defo will book again one day , was the perfect accommodation for my stay - Such a great location, a stone throw from the lovely church town.
Very clean and quirky little cottage . Loved the decor .
Tifferny was great with responding to any messsges. Nothing negative to say , only thing would recommend was a couple more condiments like salt and pepper .
