Guest Reviews
- Michelle (10/5): -
- Caswell (9/5): Superb, value for money, view - Location, view and floor plan Nothing
- Arch (8/5): Would return again good value and nice are - Roomy and comfortable idea with really close free parking, was rather quiet too
- Jason (9/5): Character apartment in handy location - Lovely apartment in interesting position by the river and docks. Very spacious. Despite the space the bed is rather squashed in. Great kitchen but random selection of glassware. TV remote needed new batteries.
- duncan (10/5): Easter was our second stay at the property. We stayed both upstairs and downstairs on our first visit and just upstairs - The view from the dining kitchen is superb. Our only request would be for another mirror.
- Claudia (8/5): Urige Unterkunft - Sehr urige Unterkunft, originell und großzügig. Es war zügig im Obergeschoss.
- Sion (9/5): - Location
Well equipped
Easy communication
Warm Open plan upstairs and down, had to be " economic " with lights as had toddler with us
Parking close but challenging ( no dropped kerb, close to bridge)
- Sally (8/5): Fantastic apartment, superb location on the quays! - Really easy to contact the host to ask for the check in details… easy to find following the clear instructions I had been given.
The apartment was clean throughout, large open space. There was only two of us but could easily accommodate more with sofa bed etc. Awesome location overlooking the river & close to the bars / restaurants on The Quays. Parking also included which is good but be mindful no dropped kerb (thankfully host told us that!) Only thing to note to the host (but I’m sure they are aware) the actual lock box is somewhat wobbly on the wall so may need a little attention.
Also, our personal preference is a shower and despite there being a shower connector on the bath there was no place to hang it (space restrictions) so washing was challenging / entertaining!! Other than that (and as I said, personal preference) the apartment and facilities were fantastic!
- Ivan (9/5): -
- Bater (8/5): - Roomy and a fabulous location. Added bonus was the parking. Bed up against wall was troublesome when climing over to use the bathroo.m during the night.
- Rahela (10/5): - Clean and comfortable The parking space
- Gonet (10/5): - Everything
- Affra (10/5): - The space was lovely and it was in a perfect spot
- Caitlin (10/5): -
- Samantha (8/5): Fab location and lovely apartment, will return - Great location overlooking rivers back & front, great restaurants locally, supermarkets and walks - really great views at night when the quays are lit up, well equipped kitchen and good size, comfy sofas and bed Tv remote not working, took a while to heat due to open plan - one night had noisy people staying downstairs
- Gary (10/5): - Brilliant .
- Gary (8/5): Great value and location! - Great location and very spacious
with parking Shame there wasn’t a shower instead of a bath as this did cause complications for us
- christopher (9/5): -
- LANA C B RODRIGUES (10/5): - I would like to thank you for the wonderful stay. The apartment is simply perfect: peaceful, well located, and with an incredible view of the river, which makes everything even more special. I loved my stay, I felt very welcome, and I will certainly cherish the memories. I hope to return soon! 😉 The only downside was that I couldn't access the apps on the TV, but other than that it was great and smooth. tankyou !!:)
- Young (10/5): All great and was well worth the money we paid. Would stay there again and would highly recommend - Great location and beautiful apartment
- Lateef Olawale (8/5): It was a fantastic location and the apartment was really nice and clean. Thank you -
- Hackett (10/5): Lively central apartment with beautiful viewpoints! - Loved the design and layout of the apartment. The lookout over the docks was lovely especially at sunrise/sunset! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and was great that it had such a central location! The car park didn’t have a dropped curb so made for some difficult parking especially given the location of the car park right off a main road. The apartment was a tiny bit cold when we arrived and the heating was slightly confusing to figure out, however once we figured it out the apartment was plenty warm enough!
- Nicola (7/5): Great location to explore Gloucester - Location was good. lounge and kitchen area very modern well equipped and comfortable Couldn’t get the TV to work fire stick broken and we would have liked a standing up shower rather than a bath
- Susie (10/5): - Lovely apartment, clean & comfortable, with everything we needed for a 3 night stay.
- Margaret (8/5): -
- Gary (10/5): -
- McInerney (9/5): - Great flat location and good price.
- Michelle (10/5): -
- Ric (9/5): -
- scott (10/5): wonderful - only one small thing no mirror in bathroom
- stephengill51 (8/5): Short stay - Lived the place very much 😄 Good place for all animated
- Aisha (10/5): Beautifully Stunning - Exceeding expectations, incredibly beautiful property. Breathtakingly beautiful, very spacious, fantastic for big family’s. Kitchen, living room and bathroom excellent facilities throughout. N/A
- Rebecca (10/5): Fabulous - Very clean, had everything in it. Fantastic location. Facilities were excellent. Lights weren’t working in the kitchen area and the bedroom area.
- Dean (10/5): Great apartment, great location. - Great location, 6 minutes walk to the shopping area, nice and private, very well equipped. This is a very large apartment. Some reviews mention minor issues but most of them have been dealt with. It was very warm when I stayed 35 degrees in the day, so a fan would have been nice.
Well done. Just a fan needed for summer. The parking is an issue especially if you have a larger car, but was not worth giving a lower rating.
- Lorraine (6/5): It was ok, needs to be updated. - Location and kitchen area very good Bed sheets seemed a bit musty, the whole place could be great but doesn’t seem well cared for.
- Janice (8/5): okay - location parking was awkward with traffic busy
- C (7/5): Good, but a pity about the traffic noise, dreadful mattress on the bed and impractical wash basin. - Good location in many ways (view of docks and nature reserve and close to restaurants and town centre) . Lots of space inside the modern apartment with French windows that you could open and enjoy the sunsets. Comfortable sofas and big kitchen. Bathroom didn't work. The wash basin was totally impractical under a low sloping ceiling and no mirror. The mattress on the bed was too soft and squishy, so I slept on the floor on cushions (not very comfortable). Constant noise from traffic on the by-pass beyond the nature reserve.
- Sally (8/5): Very nice - Location, space, view from windows.
Value for money.
Good parking TV very very hard to use even with instructions.
Couldn't use 1st night.
Went off 2nd night Couldn't put it on again.
Just need a simple on off.
Not loads of tech
Could do with a mirror in the bathroom.
Front door keys needs looking at.
- Katie (10/5): A really great space to explore Gloucester from - The space and comfort and the balconies The cutlery drawer and some cupboards were not very clean.
- Hendrik (8/5): Good nice stay - Location very good The shower facilities were not nice.
Bath was adequate though.
- Alain (8/5): Very good -
- Ruth (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful spacious apartment in a really lovely location (for Gloucester 😂🤣) docks out the front and river out the back. Booked last minute and host was easy to contact and quick to get back with check in details. The bed was super soft which some will love but isn't too my personal taste - I like mine harder - that being said' it wasn't really a bad point as there were plenty of other places to sleep. I took the sofa which was super comfy so still got a great night's sleep.
- Salvatore (9/5): We really loved our stay at this beautiful property - Great location and lovely feel to the property!
- Charlie (8/5): Very good -
- Liam (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment was so nice and clean, photos don't do it justice for the space or quality!! Fantastic location as well! Very friendly and helpful owner who provided all the information needed
- Louise (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amy (8/5): Very good - the location was great, really nice modern apartment. The shower did go everywhere and we did end up bashing our heads on the ceiling due to the nature of it being in the loft.
- Evans (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment was amazing, everthing you need and more, very spacious, spotless and really good location for the quays and city center being just a short walk away. Very handy having parking even if there is no drop kerb, its still quite accessible, it can be a busy road but the cars will let you out. Nothing not to like.
- Vanessa (10/5): Quirky and fantastic apartment. - Quirky apartment, great views of the docks, good location, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The owner was very helpful and friendly when we called for the code. We would recommend and had a great stay thank you :-) Nothing. It had everything we needed for a relaxing stay.
- Icemyth (9/5): Great location - 10 out of 10 for location. The apartment is comfortable and is a pleasant base after a day's sightseeing. It is joined to an antique showroom where the owner and staff are really friendly. We will book again when we return to Gloucester. There were a couple of broken or cracked drinking glasses in the cupboard, which we left well alone, but that was the only minus for us.
- Karen (10/5): Gorgeous and well resourced, free parking a bonus. - The apartment is nicer than the photos. It's very spacious and really well done. The location is excellent for quays or Gloucester centre. There were a few noisy bikes scooting up the road but we didn't hear them after 10pm so not really a bother just something I noticed.
- Richard (9/5): Superb -
- Jade (9/5): Superb -
- Mathew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dondread (9/5): Great place to stay for the quays - Great apartment and great location parking over the kerb (small car)
- Archie (10/5): Lovely stay right across from the docks. -
- Stephen (9/5): Perfect property - Excellent location and spacious comfortable apartment with great views. Off road parking was great to have but without a drop curb a little difficult to get on and off in traffic
- Jane (8/5): Very good - Comfortable house in a good location Bathroom would of been nice with a separate shower instead of over the bath
- Jude (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely apartment. Great location.
- Chloe (3/5): Disappointing and upsetting - Property is nice on the eye and the location is great The place wasn't clean, other peoples left over food was in the fridge/freezer and also other peoples used cleaning products/sponges in the bathroom. As I opened the curtains in the lounge the curtain holder fell off, the nails hadn't been put into the wall properly they were just hanging in there.
The upstairs French doors were unlocked and had no key on arrival. Asked for another key and was given one that did not work on that door.
Thursday evening through to Friday morning children screaming and running around all night and morning in the flat below and the hallway. Its not clear which flat is which when you enter through the front door, the doors are exactly the same. The person below was obviously confused and tried their key in my door a couple of times throughout my stay late in the evening which was frightening, a sign would be helpful.
Sash window at the front was left unlocked, its a very old dodgy window so was very tricky to get it to lock. First floor porch doors are very old and this meant rain leaked in through the bottom slightly. I received a message after I left accusing me of having pets in the property because the flat smelt of 'cat urine'. I can only assume this 'smell' was from the damp coming in from the rain as I do not have any pets. The place didn't smell great on arrival but I assumed it was because its was old and not lived in. I kept the place immaculate and really took good care of it.
Towels were like Ryvita, hard and old, take your own if staying here. Parking is also up quite a steep curb (no dropped curb) and its in a very awkward place to get out of on quite a busy road. Overall would not stay here again after experience from host, it really feels like your staying in someone else's lived in home not a rental property. Probably wouldn't of left this review had I not received such an awful message.
- Marion (7/5): Fabulous location- ideal for a short break. - Superb location - lots to see and do within walking distance. Generally a very stylish, nicely decorated property
Downstairs was spacious and comfortable. Large, well equipped kitchen diner.Everything was clean. For safety reasons a light and hand rail is necessary on the entrance stairway
TV only worked on 2 channels. Didn't manage to get the hob to work- no instructions provided
Upstairs proved a challenge for an older couple. Small double bed against a wall with VERY low sloping ceiling. If the person near the wall sat up, they banged their head.
Only way to get up to go to bathroom was to climb over their partner. Bed couldn't be moved- we tried.
Bedding clean but crumpled. There was an iron on site but it hadn't been used!
We used the bed chair in the room but there was no bedding for it..Fortunately the weather was warm so we made do with a sheet and what I think was a mattress cover.
- Scott (9/5): Superb -
- Matthew (8/5): Super stay in a very convenient and peaceful location - Beautiful location and property. Additional request for keys was dealt with. The car parking is up a raised kerb although we were advised of this
- Matthew (8/5): Very good -
- Anthony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pattinson (8/5): Location is great for city centre. - Location was very good. View from windows was lovely. No shower curtain so cannot stand up to shower , ran out of hot water . Wash basin too close to low ceiling in the bathroom.
- Jiri (9/5): Superb -
- Julia (9/5): Great stay at the upstairs River Apartment, great location. - It is a lovely apartment , Great location a minutes walk to Gloucester Quays. It is very comfortable & big with a well equipped kitchen & a very comfortable bed. We come to Gloucester regularly to visit family and would book again.
- Olga (10/5): Exceptional -
- Judi (5/5): Beautiful apartment, just let down by little things that made a massive difference! - The apartment was beautiful. In a lovely location with amazing views. It was clean (appart from spare bedding) and we had everything we needed apart from bedding and instructions on how to use the heating. The bedding on the main bed was clean. The spare bedding that was on the spare quilt was dirty.... it definitely wasnt just a stain .. it was some sort of food and it was on the spare sheet and pillow case too!
I did find a clean quilt cover and pillow case in the end but There wasn't another clean sheet at all so my daughter had to sleep on a blanket.
The hosts were very kind and provide me with an air bed. Unfortunately there was no bedding at all for the air bed and so my son had to sleep in with me and my husband... which wasn't the most comfortable and we all didnt get much sleep!! I would have been happy to bring my own bedding if I had known!!
I was a lovely spacious apartment which got cold very quickly when the heating went off. We had no idea how to use the heating and so it did get quite cold at times. They did provide a heater which we kept on at night but the plug got quite hot.
I did message the host and ring the mobile number I had for them but I never got a message back untill after our stay.
Such a shame as the place was beautiful!!
- Jessica (10/5): Don’t think twice, if you see it available book it. - Spacious, homely and a wonderful kitchen and bath.
- Mariang87 (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice and cosy with a good taste for details All good
- Ian (7/5): On the whole good. - Plenty of space nice location. Good parking Very poor uncomfortable bed and tv didn't work properly which was poor and disappointing
- Darren (10/5): Exceptional - It was amazing great place parking had everything in kitchen proper couples retreat got everything Nothing
- Adam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (9/5): Great stay - Location was excellent, all rooms were very spacious and apartment was well equipped. Would of liked or would of benefited from a full length mirror (more in general)
- Rachael (9/5): Location to the quays was fantastic, great space inside and everything to our liking. -
- Siobhain (10/5): excellent apartment - great big space. excellent facilities. lovely bathroom. cool balcony overlooking the river nothing
- Jordan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Charles (6/5): Gloucester Quays River Flat - Clean apartment and great position for Gloucester Town centre. Access having to drive the car over a high kerb.
No handrail on stairs giving access to flat.
Too many stairs and bed very uncomfortable.
