- Tessa (9/5): Superb - The view was amazing and the hotel was in the heart of everything
- Milan (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic location and view, clean, tidy and very convenient room. Couldn't be better.
- Melinda (8/5): Very good -
- Amy (9/5): Superb -
- Nicholas (10/5): Great place to stay - Clean, great view and location, good bed nothing
- Bruce (9/5): Superb -
- Kerry (9/5): Beautiful view. - Beautiful view of the harbour. Room is small, but efficient and very comfortable. We felt a little like we were in a cabin on a boat. It was all good.
- Rhonda (8/5): The pink house - Nice and central location. Modern on the inside. Comfortable bed. Peaceful after all the tourists left We were lucky to get a park on the pier after pushing our way through the tourists. Otherwise would be a long walk with bags.
- James (10/5): Great place to stay. - Fun location. Rooms were nice. Shower and toilet room was excellent. TV worked well. Excellent room.
- Kristyna (10/5): Picturesque stay - Amazing stay with one of the best views - you can watch the water from comfort of your bed!
Right on the harbour with serene views.
This is nothing about the room but definitely book your restaurant for dinner as it’s a small town and all was booked out - we ended up with fish and chips from take away shop due not planning well ahead. The only negative is the eco shower in the room - not enough pressure.
With parking you have to get lucky or park further away.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Monica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gordon (10/5): Accommodation in the Pink house was excellent, with lovely view of harbour and bay - Nothing
- Rafał (9/5): Great stay - Very nice room with a private bathroom. Contactless check-in. View over the bay. Visitor information brochure available in the room. The city os generalny very enjoyable The place is a bit pricy, although still cheaper than other places in the city. No parking available, only a couple spots at the bay, which are rather occupied
- Eva-maria (8/5): Very good -
- Flett (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jose (10/5): Superb... - Exceptional good taste in room decoration. Exceptional location. Fabulous view. I always prefer to have someone in a reception.
- Tomas (7/5): Good - Very nice location and very clear instructions for how to get into the apartment. There was an electric shower which had a very poor strength. Additionally the WiFi didn’t work well.
- Liu (8/5): Very good -
- Helen (10/5): Absolutely spectacular 10 out of 10 - Absolutely everything was spot on. Location, bathroom, size, beds, linen, personal touches with bathroom products were on point. Decor was beautiful. Cleanliness was great. No power outlet near kettle.
- Patrick (7/5): Well situated apartment with awful parking - This room-only apartment is very well situated on the seafront. It is clean, well furnished and comfortable. We stayed there overnight and were pleased to find that noise from the pub and other establishments on the same road was not a problem. The main problem is parking. There is no dedicated parking on the street outside and at no time during our stay was there any parking anywhere that we walked past in Portree. Indeed when we arrived we went around the town and its car parks 3 times without finding any free parking spaces! In the end we had to park on the road out of town on the other side of the bay 10 minutes away, not the greatest fun when you’re carrying suitcases! One other issue was that the front door of the apartments was unlocked as the electronic locking device wasn’t working.
- Lawjarra (10/5): Top Spot in Portree - Apart from the marvellous view out across the harbour, the room was spacious, well appointed and modern. The little touches like Walkers Shortbread Biscuit, super nice bed linen and bathroom toiletries makes for excellent value for money.
Really appreciated the double glazed windows - didn't need the earplugs!!! Nothing to dislike!!
- Morven (10/5): Exceptional -
- Natassia (6/5): I would say it is overrated. - Cleanliness. The welcome. I did not receive the necessary info to access our room. It was difficult to reach the staff and once I got hold of them on the phone, they were not the friendliest… nor did they apologize for not giving us the necessary info to access our room.
- Rodd (2/5): Buyer be warned. Total rip-off. Great location but that is all - Great location right on the wharf at Portree. This is an unmanned location. You get a PIN code and that’s it. Parking isn’t available, and the place was massively overpriced. 2 nights here cost more than a week in a better hotel! Fan in shower was noisy, very limited facilities and uncomfortable bed.
- Facundo (2/5): Very poor -
- Colin (9/5): Superb -
- Andy (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely stay, the accommodation was spotlessly clean! I loved the labels to show us what all the switches were for. A peaceful sleep with wonderful views.
- Kay (10/5): Just perfect - Perfect location Nothing
- Elad (3/5): We DO NOT recommand to stay here - We didn’t have WIFI through the whole staying, which is an elementary service these days.
In addition the shower was awful- very hot water or very cold water. Not a chance to take a shower
- Cardoso (10/5): Exceptional - Very cute bedroom, smelling really good, amazing view, we would have loved to stay longer
- Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dharani (10/5): Exceptional -
- Federico (6/5): Pleasant -
- Ben (3/5): Poor -
- Eric (9/5): Superb - Location
- Marion (10/5): Great find! - Great location, amazing bed, perfect to explore Skye!
- Sara (8/5): Great location and room - Fantastic stay in a perfect location. Beautifully-decorated room with a great mattress (firm and good for a bad back).
The bathroom was missing hooks where to hang towels. And maybe a rack in the shower where to put shampoo etc.
- Presslie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nebojsa (10/5): Amazing stay, would definitely recommend - Amazing view, had everything we needed. Clean and spacious The only downside is the water pressure in the shower
- Claire (9/5): Lovely room, comfortable beds and clean. Perfect for a quick stop over for a family of 4 - Loved the fact we were staying in The Pink House right on the harbour. Limited parking, as it’s on the harbour, but we were lucky and got a space right outside. But wouldn’t have been an issue as small town so parking nearby.
Due to the time of year (February) and being a Sunday most of the restaurants in town were closed but had an amazing meal at The Isles Inn
- Romy (8/5): Very good - Lovely stylish room with stunning views The temperature, very cold room even with the boost of the small heater
- Zachary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zachary (10/5): Wonderful place to stay in Portree and stay to see the isle of Skye! Highly recommend! - The location was beautiful! Right on the water and a great walk to restaurants! Had street parking right outside too!
- Gillian (10/5): A beautiful building, in the heart of the lovely Portree, surrounded by water and close to everything needed, including - It’s a gorgeous room, overlooking the harbor and is so close to the buses and good restaurants. I loved the attention to details and the small extras that were provided in the room. Arrived after dark and was difficult in the light to see the “purple sign” stating which room I was in. Perhaps a small light illuminating the signs could help late arrivals
- Greg (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nerys-wyn (8/5): great - excellent location
easy access to property
felt safe N/A
- Rhys (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect for overnight stay, comfortable, clean
- Narasimha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kriti (9/5): Superb - The location is perfect.. at the heart of portree.. the room was cozy and beautiful with great views of the sea.. would definitely recommend..
There is no staff at the location though.. but checkin and check out was really smooth.. no issues faced
- Kym (10/5): Loved our stay in Portree and accommodation meet our expectations - Room was comfortable and view over harbour was very nice
Checkin instructions were easy to understand and follow Heater would only only stay on for 2 hours before needing to reset - not ideal for freezing cold night
- Kerry (8/5): Good location good bed. Parking limited but we got a spot out the front - Entrance very dirty
- Tahlia (9/5): Superb -
- James (10/5): Great place - Cosy, clean, comfortable, lovely view. Thank you :-)
- Pei (9/5): Superb -
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Meng-chiao (8/5): Very good -
- Kara (10/5): We got engaged during our stay in Portree and the pink house was a lovely spot to be staying! - Great location A better way to store suitcases out of the way
- Mike (10/5): Highly recommend this apartment. Check in Staffwere amazing and were able to get us in early. Very comfortable for 4 peo - Loved that it was right on the bay and the location was beautiful. Very comfortable and clean Everything was great
- Martin (9/5): Nice location for a quick stay in Portree - Very tastefully decorated room on the top floor of a quaint building down at the old port The hot water cylinders for all the rooms were located in the cupboard of our room and were a little noisy when filling up
- Adrienne (7/5): Convenient and comfortable. - Great location on the harbor The carpeting
- John (4/5): Can’t recommend it. - Small, no parking, crowded area.
- Sharon (3/5): Not at all enjoyable stay. Would not recommend and feel we should receive a refund or partial. - Location Placed on top floor 3 flights of steps. Television did not work at all. Shower was absolutely terrible and very dangerous. Electric system. Water would be scalding hot with no warning the when you turned it down freezing cold the go burning hot without warning. It was virtually impossible to shower properly and we were very angry about it. It could have been potentially very serious with the temperature suddenly becoming scalding hot.
- James (9/5): We wish we could have stayed longer! - The location was absolutely amazing- right on the water! The unit was clean and modern, and had a great view. The stairs on the way up to the unit were very dirty. Parking would be a real challenge in most cases, but we lucked out with a spot right in the bay. But without that, you’d be walking for blocks.
- Margaret (9/5): Compact apartment in fabulous location - Loved the location. Walking distance to restaurants. Check-in process was very easy and communication with host also good. Parking is tricky but we managed to get a spot close by. Wasn't an issue as nothing is too far.
- Carin (8/5): Wonderful water view, quaint and comfy! - Location was good. Had an issue with Netflix. Emailed the property via Booking.com and staff member immediately came and resolved it. We are from Canada travelling without UK cell phone plan. We didn’t receive the door code as no wifi, tried calling from my phone, didn’t work so turned on my data went to Booking.com and there’s a spot to click on that directly calls the property’s staff and he was able to direct me to our room and give us door code. Thank goodness as it was already late. Enjoyed a lovely seafood meal next door at Sea Breezes but book ahead! We were fortunate enough to get street parking out front otherwise we would be searching for paid parking.
- Ruth (10/5): Wonderful and comfortable stay - Location was amazing No dislikes!
- Linda (9/5): Very Happy with the room. It would have been even better to have a mini fridge. - Location, view, cleanliness Bit small , but exactly as the photos .
- Xochil (9/5): Superb -
- David (2/5): This is the worst accommodation we have experienced in 5 weeks of travelling around the UK. - Nothing The building was grubby and smelled. The room while clean was tiny and cramped with limited amenities. Having two large hot water tanks situated in the room was clearly inappropriate. The room was on the second floor requiring that I carry two large bags up multiple winding and difficult staircases. I have been travelling around the UK and Ireland for 5 weeks and this was by far the worst room we have encountered. It was also the most overpriced. Parking and access were difficult, and it took at least 15 minutes in the morning to extricate our vehicle from the car space due to overparking. I would never recommend this property to anyone.
- Maryanne (10/5): Absolutely stay there again! - Very cute. Spacious! Awesome shower! Location super! Very clean! Parking was very close and I think we lucked out. There was nothing we didn’t like.
- Charles (10/5): Fun to say you stayed at the Pink House - location was wonderful, loved the bay view car parking was TERRIBLE ! For the price of the rooms some kind of parking needs to be explored rather than the parking lot half the town away with ugly stairways to carry luggage
- Nicole (9/5): Superb -
- Bernie (8/5): hotel Portree - very picturesque staff were very friendly . checking in was a bit of a task not much info without booking
.com app
- Rhushabh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shelly (10/5): Comfort in the heart of Skye! - There is no better location in Portree than to be staying in the Pink House, in the heart of Portree! Our room was clean and comfortable, and we were able to explore the charming town on foot. We were also fortunate to find parking right in front during our three-night stay!
- Leitch (8/5): First time in Skye would come back again - Location in Portree was excellent for wandering around the town and very picturesque Room could have been bigger altho I realise it was part of an apartment so just a slight issue.
- Kerry-anne (10/5): Amazing stay - Great location, clean When travellers arrive, one does not know the area. Proprietors need to understand this, not everyone has Mobile phones, and gadgets for directions.
- Laura (8/5): Great location and lovely place. - Very clean and lovely. View from the window was amazing. No storage or shelf in the bathroom for our toiletries
- Donna (9/5): Superb -
- Elizabeth (9/5): Superb -
- Burton (2/5): Very poor -
- Nikki-lee (10/5): Exceptional - The best place we’ve stayed on our Scottish holiday - I’ll save you some time, book it!
- Nikki-lee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ben (10/5): Exceptional -
- Natashia (5/5): Passable - The location is great, however you really have to plan ahead for parking, or just get lucky with an open space along the road out front. The room was cute, but not functional. Couldn't access a lot of the drawers. The level of noise coming up from the street and the room across the hall was pretty bad. Outside noise really seems to carry straight into the room. Had to turn on white noise just to be able to fall asleep. No fan and the pillows provided were absolutely awful.
- Juan (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice house in a beautiful place close to the harbor. In the city center, plenty of places to visit and enjoy.
- Diane (10/5): We had an exceptional stay in Portree at Sithean Beag. - The Sithean Beag really exceeded our expectations. Check-in was made easy. The room was clean and a good size, the bathroom was modern and, well, that view!! There's really nothing to complain about.
- Valerie (5/5): Passable -
- Lili (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional - Ideal location as we were on the early morning ferry to Isle of Harris. Good facilities a comfortable stop over!
- Kristine (9/5): Superb - Clean, modern, and well-appointed. A good use of the small space, and a lovely view of the harbor.
- Alison (8/5): Very good - Location was great. Good space for the family. Would be helpful to have a mini fridge.
- Choi (5/5): A room - The view is good
Room is tidy . No lift .
I somehow expect it is a hotel with restaurants but it is just s room with nothing .
- Momo (10/5): Highly recommended! - A very happy stay. Our room is inside the pink house right beside the Portree harbour. It has a stunning view and a very convenient location. We went for a dip in the water in the harbour, and could easily go back to the room and get change in 5 minutes. The staff claimed there was an issue with Booking.com so we didn't receive any info to check in. We ran up and checked without clue which room to stay, and then waited downstairs and nobody answered our phone call, which was unnecessarily confusing. But eventually, 15 minutes ish later, we got the info we needed.
- Derek (10/5): The pink house on the harbor, need I say more! - Location can’t be beat. You are in THE PINK HOUSE on the harbor. Water pressure
- Pamela (10/5): Perfect view! - Loved the location of this room! Right in the center of Portree, and everything was within walking distance! Loved the size of the room and the comfy beds for our family of 4 adults! There was plenty of space for everyone, and we loved the views of the port! The only drawback was the stairs and no elevator. However, what do you expect from an older building in Scotland? Parking can be a little difficult to find, but we were able to move the car closer to the room later in the evening. This was not a big deal for us.
- Evren (8/5): Very good -
- Julie (8/5): Room was adequate for our needs - Location good. Only one chair available for sitting - two would be better. Had to contact to get the instructions for entering on the morning. Instructions indicated that this would be sent in the morning but I had to chase.
