Guest Reviews
- Louise (10/5): Great location and great house we had 2 dogs with us which was lovely that we could bring them - We loved the house very well equipped and great value for money. The lounge did need a bit of updating but this did not affect our stay
- Andy (8/5): Very enjoyable stay with friends. -
- Elizabeth (10/5): Manages to be cosy and huge at the same time. - Bridge House is an authentic old Yorkshire house that exudes character and has a warm atmosphere. It is large and comfortable, with quality antique furniture (the beds in particular are very grand as well as being fantastically comfortable). But perhaps most importantly its location is superb - Muker is a very special little village, and Swaledale the best of the dales (IMHO!). I wouldn't have changed a single thing.
- Tim (9/5): Excellent stay - great house and location - Dining room stove performed poorly and we couldn't access the ash collector
- Rogan (9/5): Comfortable, clean and cared for… - Size, lots of double bedrooms, the size of all the rooms were fabulous. Nothing
- Dermot (10/5): We stayed with a group of 6 and everyone really enjoyed their stay - Idyllic location, and everything you need for a comfortable stay Nothing
- Donna (10/5): -
- Sara (10/5): A splendid place for a get together. - This is a perfect place to get together with relatives and friends. The house was warm and cosy, well appointed, spacious and thoughtfully put together to make our celebration with grown up family a real pleasure. We will definitely be back. Nothing not to like. There was room for our cars just a short walk up the road opposite the pub. It was a bonus to find the tucked away downstairs loo!
- Littlejohn (7/5): Great for house for large families, fabulous location, let down by a few details. - Location was excellent. Cleanliess was very poor, a lot of the crockery and cutlery was dirty. The bathrooms smelt and bins had not been properly emptied. It was disappointing that there was no sugar or a bottle of milk.
- Berny (10/5): Fantastic stay at Bridge House that is situated in beautiful Muker. A great location for a walking weekend - Fantastic location for a walking weekend
Beds and bedding super comfortable
- Kathryn (9/5): Brilliant weekend in a lovely cottage. - It was lovely and spacious. Comfy beds and plenty of bathrooms. We love the area so it was a perfect place to stay with the family. The house was very well equipped. We would certainly book again! There was nothing we didn’t like about the property however the house was very dusty in places and there was pet hair left from previous visitors on surfaces such as windowsills. This did not bother us as dog owners but some people may not like this or may have allergies.
- Simon (9/5): Fantastic. Booked for next year. - Beautiful house. Could bring
My dog. Lovely and comfortable. Fantastic location. Radiator in sitting room didn’t work,
- Ellie (10/5): Fabulous stay for a family get together to celebrate my Mum’s 60th - Spacious, lovely bedrooms Nothing
- Sheena (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, lovely area
- John (9/5): Great Village Location - Lovely large property, which is very well equipped and in great location for walks and scenic views.
- Victoria (10/5): Exceptional - The house was so beautiful and had everything we required for our stay .The house owner was extremely accommodating. We will definitely be back Everything was perfect
- Sara (9/5): Superb - Size of property & facilities were excellent. Loved the dining room & lounge. Location was fab with gorgeous scenery & we could do amazing walks from the front door!! Car parking is a bit of an issue. Bathrooms could have been cleaner & with hand wash & hand towels.
- Deborah (9/5): We loved our stay - it was a perfect base and we hope to return. - The house was lovely and cosy with plenty of room for us all. The beds and bed linen were really comfortable and the showers were hot and powerful. The Kitchen was cosy and had everything we needed and the utility was great for our boots and jackets after walking. The views were incredible and we enjoyed watching the lambs in the field over the road. Some areas could have been a little cleaner and there was very little toilet roll and no soap or bath gel. It would have been nice to have a small welcome pack - tea, coffee etc and a few biscuits. There was no instructions for the hob which was annoying as couldn’t get it on at first. The aga was not on high enough to use for cooking.
