Walkable to each end of town to more moai sites Breakfast provided next door is ample and delicious. Communication up to arrival was amazing, very helpful with information to questions and booking day tours with Rapa Nui Dreams (excellent days). As well communication was easy throughout stay and made sure I was comfortable. Airport pick up and drop off very much appreciated! The trip was effortless with all the support given.

The 2 day tour with additional sunrise section was arranged perfectly. Breakfast was fabulous and right next door. Everything feels damp in the room in the morning. I guy that’s just the way it is living right next to ocean.

- James (1/5): Stay Away! Read other reviews - Our experience at Paradise Sunset Bungalows was extremely disappointing due to misleading advertising and poor treatment by management. We booked what was listed as a “Bungalow” or “Family Room” at a higher price than similar options on the island because it advertised amenities like a private fridge, minibar, patio, BBQ, terrace, and washer/dryer. The photos also showed a beautiful private bungalow. After paying upon arrival, we were taken to a small room above a building with a hostel-style setup: shared fridge, shared patio, shared BBQ—everything was shared. None of the advertised private amenities existed. When we raised this issue the next morning, reception said it was out of their control. After multiple attempts to contact management, we finally spoke to someone who responded by raising their voice and blaming us, saying we should have known those amenities couldn’t fit in the room. They then offered to move us to a real bungalow for an additional $120 USD. We reluctantly agreed and paid, only to be placed in an apartment instead, as they claimed the bungalows were no longer available—after taking our money. The apartment had a strong sewage smell in the bathroom and common areas, suggesting plumbing issues. To make matters worse, we rented a scooter at 4pm and returned it the following day at checkout, yet were charged for two full days because they count the night as part of a 24-hour period—this was never clearly explained. Overall, this place is misleading, poorly managed, and not worth the price. There are many more honest and affordable options on Easter Island. I strongly recommend staying elsewhere. - Rocio (1/5): Relación precio-calidad no es acorde a lo que se proyecta. - Solo me gustó su ubicación Reservé en Paraíso Sunset Bungalows guiándome por la descripción publicada y el valor de la estadía, esperando un estándar acorde. Lamentablemente, la experiencia no cumple con lo que se proyecta. La mención de espacios como sala de estar y comedor induce razonablemente a pensar en un alojamiento con mayor nivel de independencia. Sin embargo, en la práctica se trata de una habitación con áreas compartidas, lo cual no queda suficientemente claro al momento de reservar. Si bien valoro que se me haya permitido ajustar parcialmente la estadía, lo cierto es que las condiciones del lugar hacen difícil sostener una experiencia de descanso adecuada. La habitación presenta una temperatura excesiva y ventilación deficiente, situación que fue atribuida a la isla, pero que no corresponde a mi experiencia previa en Rapa Nui ni a lo que pude comprobar al cambiarme a otro alojamiento cercano con condiciones óptimas. Adicionalmente, se presentaron factores que afectan directamente la habitabilidad, como la presencia de insectos nocturnos al intentar ventilar, el ingreso de un gato durante la noche y restricciones en el uso de la cocina que no se informan de manera clara previamente. No es mi primera vez en la isla, por lo que tengo un punto de comparación real respecto a los estándares que se pueden ofrecer en el destino. En ese contexto, considero que la relación precio-calidad no es acorde a lo que se proyecta. Recomendaría a futuros huéspedes verificar en detalle las condiciones reales antes de reservar, especialmente si buscan comodidad, privacidad y un estándar acorde al valor.

It’s close to grocery/convenience stores and restaurants. Staff were extremely helpful in assisting with the excursions. Included breakfast was delicious. No a/c.

They arranged a rental car and a tour for us, provided good advice on restaurants and even shared fresh bananas with us. The room was warm but there was an air conditioner in our unit. We had a view of the sea and there was a nice food truck restaurant complex right by the facility. Breakfast was next door at a coffee shop which also was very good. We felt welcome and they contacted us via WhatsApp to know if we needed anything. If we come back, this is where we would stay....very inviting! The afternoon sun heated the room greatly. A blackout curtain would definitely help cool the unit. (Unit 1).

- BonesD (1/5): How it has the rating it has is way beyond imagination it is terrible - Nothing. Well okay the breakfast was okay but it was provided by a neighbouring property. Booking.com - please review the star rating - this is based on false information. At best it is 2 stars. The whole experience was terrible. For the first time in our 40+ years of travelling we moved to another hotel and left two of 3 nights paid for but unused. 1. It is NOT beachfront! you cross the road and then it is rocks to the water no beach. 2. We booked the cheaper "double room with garden view" no garden but a carpark.3.The room came with a tiny portable fan (0we were not expecting AC but this was absurd) because of the bugs and cockroaches ( which they warn you of ) you must close the windows at night because there is not flyscreen. so it is hotter inside than out. 4. They say English is spoken but it is NOT. Apparently the regular host is sick so the owner is standing in ?? 5.The room was to include Kettle coffee machine and other features just not there! Tring to communicate via google translator or the GM who is on the mainland was so difficult. We advised we were leaving and need to settle account then whilst waiting on site to leave i get a message accusing us of not paying !! 6. Bathroom is dirty a*nd stained . 7. There is NO bar or restaurant . It looks like it being renovated but nothing was said to us.

Acutalmente sólo 2 ventanas lo tenían, entonces no es gran aporte si no es la totalidad de ventanas, para así mantener la cabaña aireada y fresca. Falta espacio para guarda ropa, en una pieza NO había nada más que 2 camas y 1 velador, había espacio suficiente para instalar closet, y en dormitorio principal también se requiere espacio comodo para guardar la ropa No está muy adaptado para adultos mayores, ya que para cabañas en 2do piso se debe pasar por estacionamiento que es de ripio, lo cual complica el caminar, y mover las maletas ya que las ruedas no se mueven con las piedras

The bungalow needs some repairs, balcony door not closing properly and with great effort. The breakfast at the café next-door, as the proper breakfast rom was under reconstruction, was frustrating as the staff there was rude and always reminding us to give them a tip. They did not want to give us a second coffee. The food options were limited, they never asked for dietary restrictions and brought us almost the same every day. The bungalow was not cleaned or tidied up during the 5 nights stay, the towels were changed on the 4th day.

Café da manhã: feito no Bistrô ao lado, mas de uma qualidade excelente! Acreditamos que isso complementou e muito a experiência! Quarto grande e espaçoso, cama gigante e com muitos travesseiros! Adoramos. Banheiro grande e espaçoso. Espaço de fora com mesinha e cadeiras muito agradável: perfeito para um lanche/snack no final do dia! Espaço da cozinha não utilizamos muito, mas tudo muito bem equipado, novo e limpo. Único ponto de melhora que tornaria a experiência ainda mais confortável e única: instalar AC no quarto. Sentimos falta, principalmente no final da tarde, quando o sol pegava bem direto em nosso quarto e deixava o ambiente um pouco mais abafado.

The staff and owner are extremely helpful, assisting with booking tours and shows, which makes planning effortless. Restaurants, shops, and the tourist office are all within walking distance—especially convenient since taxis or Uber don’t seem to be available. A nice bonus is the complimentary airport transfer both ways. Breakfast is provided by the restaurant next door; it’s a set menu rather than à la carte, but still convenient. Overall, a wonderful experience, and I would definitely stay here again.

- Constanza (4/5): - La central ubicación. Fui con mi amiga a Rapa Nui el mes de noviembre y nos hospedamos en Paraíso Sunset Bungalows durante 4 noches. Las sábanas y almohadas tenían manchas rojas y naranjas (algunas bastante grandes, de alrededor de 3 o 4 cm). Las toallas también se encontraban manchadas. Cabe destacar que las sábanas se cambian cada 4 días y las toallas cada 3 días. El ventilador emitía sonido, pero prácticamente nada de aire. Además, se encontraba muy sucio. Las tazas y cubiertos también se encontraban sucios. No sólo tenían manchas de café o té (que son fáciles de limpiar), sino que tenían suciedad adherida. El fribogar emitía ruido y se filtraba agua al piso. Las llaves del lavamanos y ducha tenían un gran exceso de sarro y realmente nos producía asco el tener que tocarlas. No está de más mencionar el olor a desagüe presente en el baño desde un comienzo. Cuando hicimos el check out una recepcionista mujer y joven nos atendió. Su trato fue sumamente hostil y prepotente. Nos culpó de haber sido nosotras quienes habíamos manchado las sábanas porque no avisamos de las manchas el primer día. Una vez que comenzamos a mencionarle todos los otros defectos de la habitación y baño su actitud comenzó cambiar y no ser tan agresiva como en un comienzo, no obstante, tuve que hacerle notar que nunca se había disculpado para que finalmente lo hiciera. Cabe destacar que su trato hacia unos turistas extranjeros que se encontraban en la recepción al mismo tiempo que nosotras fue muy distinta, lo que es una lástima. Con respecto al desayuno, este era poco variado. Tres de las cuatro opciones eran bastante similares entre sí. La opción 4 no estuvo disponible hasta el último día, debido a que no había yogur.

El alojamiento es exactamente como se muestra en las fotos, las habitaciones son muy cómodas y todo en un ambiente de muchísima cordialidad. El desayuno está muy bien y lo ofrecen en el bar también frente al mar. La ubicación es inmejorable !!!!! Además de tener el océano por frente es muy muy práctica para salir y volver cuantas veces quieras. Todos los servicios y centro de Hanga Roa a pocos pasos. Laura nos fue a buscar al aeropuerto y siempre estuvo muy disponible para ayudarnos, nos coordinaron todos los tours que les pedimos e incluso con muy poca anticipación( perdón por eso!!). Muchas gracias a todo el equipo por hacer de nuestra instancia una experiencia perfecta! No hubo nada

Están en excelente ubicación, se puede llegar cómodamente caminando al centro de Hanga Roa. Hay playas cerca, y muchísimas opciones para comer. La atención de Jimena es excepcional, es muy amorosa, da buenísimos datos y resuelve rápidamente si necesitas algo. Las camas y almohadas son super cómodas, dormí estupenda. Qué decir del desayuno! 4 opciones diarias para escoger, cual de todas mas deliciosas.

- Agathe (3/5): Disappointed - Localisation is great. All employees are very nice. Description of the bungalow is not the truth. I was expecting 2 bedrooms, we got only one. According to the owner the second one was some kind of corridor/closet behind the entrance door. It is not a room (cf photo below) ! If I knew that before, I would never have paid this price for that. Renovations are required in the whole bungalow, walls in poor condition, paintwork, and especially the bathroom which is very rustic. To conclude, I do not recommend at all, terrible value for money.

- Claudia (6/5): Atención destacable, aunque la experiencia podría ser mejor. - Excelente atención del personal, siempre cordiales y muy atentos por WhatsApp. Perfecta coordinación de tours, traslados al aeropuerto y entrada al show de baile. Instrucciones claras sobre qué llevar a las excursiones. Detalles muy valorados como mantas extras y capas de agua en caso de lluvia. Desayuno muy bueno y abundante. A pesar de mantener las puertas cerradas, aparecieron varias cucarachas grandes durante las cuatro noches (al menos seis), lo que fue desagradable y creo que es por falta de fumigación. El bungalow que nos tocó tenía otro encima y se escuchaban con claridad los pasos de los huéspedes y cuando ocupaban los baños, afectando el descanso. Problemas con el calefont: el agua salía demasiado caliente y al mezclar con fría se apagaba; se revisó, pero recién mejoró hacia el final de la estadía.
- Vinicius (9/5): Ótimo custo-benefício, principalmente pela localização e café incluído - A localização era perfeita, de frente para o oceano, e a poucos metros do centro da cidade e de vários restaurantes. Os funcionários muito atenciosos, e mesmo quando não estavam na recepção, respondiam pelo Whatsapp. Quarto bem amplo e cama grande. Apesar de eu não ter usado, tem uma cozinha com geladeira, microondas e fogão. E galão de água incluído, o que ajuda demais pra não ter que gastar com água (os dois primeiros galões não são cobrados). Café da manhã incluído, com 4 opções pra escolher (todos bem gostosos). Sem contar que poder tomar café da manhã olhando pro mar, não tem preço! Se precisar de toalha de praia, é só pedir que eles conseguem. Mesmo o anúncio dizendo que não tinha TV no quarto, TINHA, e com internet. E, pra quem gosta, como eu: tinha rede no quarto (do lado de fora)! Antes de mais nada, os viajantes precisam entender: estamos em: i) uma ilha isolada 4.000 Km do continente; e ii) cercados por mato, árvores e praias. E, mesmo assim, temos energia, internet e água quente disponíveis. Nenhum dos pontos listados aqui atrapalhou a minha estadia, servem apenas para outros viajantes terem conhecimento e tomarem sua decisão. A minha: voltaria a me hospedar lá, com certeza. Achei o quarto um pouco escuro, e a arrumação do quarto não está incluída (só no check-in e no check-out). O quarto que fiquei (Bangalô com Vista para o Jardim) falava que tinha dois quartos, mas era um quarto grande com a cama e um sofá-cama na entrada do quarto (não é exatamente um outro quarto separado), mas, para mim que fui sozinho, não fez a menor diferença. A toalha que tinha para o banho não enxugava muito bem, e a temperatura da água do chuveiro era inconstante. Mesmo a torneira em uma posição parada, a água ia de muito quente a muito fria, ciclicamente. Tive que desenvolver uma técnica para conseguir tomar banho, sem maiores perrengues. Eventualmente encontrei alguns insetos na cozinha, mas estamos cercados por mato, nada mais normal. Mas não vi nenhum mosquito/pernilongo. O restaurante onde se toma o café serve como restaurante aberto a todos, e geralmente à noite tem música ao vivo. Apesar de não ser alta, pra quem curte o silêncio absoluto isso é uma coisa a ser considerada. Mas ia no máximo até umas 20h, 21h, nunca passava disso. Senti falta de um lugar pra sentar no jardim enquanto esperava meu tour, mas no terceiro dia, colocaram duas cadeiras (eu entrei numa quinta, só tinha eu hospedado. No sábado, já chegaram outros hóspedes), e achei que o jardim podia ter um pouco mais de iluminação, mas não me atrapalhou.

Cold water in the shower on one of four days, spiders and cockroaches, uncomfortable seating.

- ROBERTO (10/5): Semplicemente un Paradiso. - In primo l' accoglienza, Renata TOP, sembravo a casa, mi ha mandato su whatsapp tutte le info del caso, colazione, escursioni, noleggio bici o auto, bastava chiedere e Lei ti dava tutte le informazioni che volevi. Hotel bellissimo a pochi passi dal centro città, a pochi passi da 2 siti, uno è il tramonto, l'oceano praticamente di fronte all' Hotel, con anche una piccola spiaggia a pochi metri, ci sono anche localini belli belli dove mangiare o aperitivare lungo tutto il percorso, e volendo anche ammirando il tramonto, praticamente esci dall' Hotel e hai tutto, compreso la banca a 100 metri. Dimenticavo il servizio super dall' aeroporto all' Hotel e viceversa, insomma basta chiedere e Renata ti organizza. Grazie.
