- Steve (8/5): The Manor was lovely, we had a very nice stay - Breakfast was great. Very peaceful location. Bed and pillows were a little hard, but overall comfortable
- Yuzi (10/5): - Very quiet place. The room is cozy but clean. The external appearance of the building is really elegant. My host even has a beautiful garden! We really enjoyed our time here, listening to birds singing. Only for guests WITHOUT cars: not very convenient to walk here from main roads. The nearest bus stop costs approximately 22 mins walk from here. Look Google Map for reference. But if we come here in a sunny and breezing day, then you're lucky. You will enjoy so many trees along the way.
- Michael (10/5): Great - We had a lovely stay with Mike and Vicki Everything was great
- Ave (8/5): -
- Zoe (10/5): Comfortable, warm, friendly, - Loved the location although a little tricky to find, Vicky and Mike have given great directions ahead of our stay
- Jevgenijus (10/5): Comfortable, affordable and very nice people. - It was located in the nice quiet place and was exceptionally clean.
- Lia (10/5): Absolutely incredible stay! We were sad to leave! Owners were nothing but lovely. We spent ages on our first night chatt - Absolutely stunning location, and so close to everything. We walked to the needles and it was only 25mins through gorgeous countryside Nothing!

- Anne (8/5): - Friendly staff Steps up to bathroom. Mum suggested they need a hand rail/bar to aid her getting up/down the steps.
- Samantha (10/5): I loved exploring the area and Weston Manor was the perfect base. Thank you! - The location is amazing, so very peaceful and with the stunning Tennyson Down within walking distance. The manor itself is a beautiful building. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The single room was small but perfectly fine. I really enjoyed myself!

- Lisanne (9/5): - Mooie omgeving, directe aansluiting op wandelgebied, prettige kamer, prima ontbijt, fijne tuin .
- Jamie (9/5): Nice stay in a country manor - Very clean. Lovely shower. Hot and powerfull. Tea and coffee and biscuits. Informative pleasant host. For the price its exceptional. Nothing to dislike. Maybe a vanity table and mirror could be added for my partner to do her hair and make up.
- Oliver (9/5): -
- Karen (8/5): A nice relaxing break - The room was comfortable and WiFi very good. Breakfast was continental - no cooked Breakfast which I knew when I booked. There was a good choice of cereals, and fruit along with yoghurt. Had a warm croissant and pain au chocolat, and toast. Coffee and orange juice to drink. Initially I parked in the car park as there was only one free space by the property which was for disabled guests or those with young children. There had been heavy rain and the car park was muddy, with puddles. As I was the only guest staying I was able to move my car by the property which was much better.
- Alison (10/5): Perfect - we plant to return next time we’re in Fredhwater. - Very peaceful location. It was spotlessly clean and in wonderful surroundings. The host had great communication skills and was very friendly. Nothing!
- Ying Mun Simon (7/5): Don’t feel a warm welcome from the host. He only carried on his own thing. Dinner room was freezing. - A variety of cereals. Warm pastries. I expected a hot English breakfast.Don’t mind paying more.
- António (10/5): - Gostamos de tudo. Desde a estadia a localizaçao. Tudo muito bom:)
- Peter (10/5): -
- Susan (8/5): - Lovely old house in beautiful grounds. Very peaceful. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. Good to have parking. Room was lovely and the bed comfortable. We turned up at the time we thought we had arranged and no-one was there. The phone number provided on the door didn't work. Waited an hour. Luckily it wasn't raining!
- Helen (10/5): Beautiful location, comfortable beds, friendly helpful hosts. - It was in a lovely wooded location, which was peaceful and you could see and hear birds in the morning. It was an interesting building with a good sized room. The beds were very comfortable and extra bedclothes available but as the room was well heated we were warm enough. The shower had plenty of hot water and the bathroom was very clean.
- Desiree (9/5): -
- Jenny (10/5): Absolutely beautiful hotel and location! Huge thanks to Mike & Vicki for the warm welcome and for making our stay so - Location
- Alison (9/5): Cosy island retreat - Mike and Vicki offered a warm welcome to this lovely old house. The bedrooms have been nicely renovated. Our room had pretty views out over the garden, and we did get a red squirrel sighting in the huge pine tree opposite our window. It was good to have a small sofa in the room, though we were out enjoying the surrounding countryside most of the time. The drench shower was hot and pressure decent.
There were wine and beer glasses available in the communal landing area, as well as extra refreshment and toiletry supplies. The room had a hairdryer and a smart TV.
Breakfast was plentiful and pastries brought warm, in a basket. A good size cafetiere of coffee.
Vicki and Mike are happy to give recommendations for eating out locally- we tried and enjoyed the Highdown Inn, Jaffnan, and the Red Lion (food at the latter is a cut above normal pub grub).
We will very back next time we are on the Island. Thanks! Maybe a little background music would be nice at breakfast- not all guests are bright and chatty in the morning so it could be a little awkward.
Parking at the entrance door is only for 2 cars, but there is a small parking field at the bottom of the drive, though this is unlit at night. The hosts explained access and parking arrangements before we arrived though.
- LORNA (10/5): Fabulous time - Lovely clean rooms. Great shower
Breakfast amazing staff Na
- Kevin (10/5): - Room was very comfortable. However there were 2 steps up to the toilet. Toiletries, tea, coffee, milk and sugar available without having to ask for it. Mike and Vicki are very friendly. They have 4 dogs but they are kept away from guests.
- Mark (9/5): If you like countryside peace and quiet then you'll love it here. - A lovely, quiet location was ideal to get away from the bustle and hustle. Vicky & Mike were great hosts and it was lovely to meet their very well behaved labradorite.
A very good continental breakfast set us up for our morning activities. The only thing we couldn't find late at night were a couple of tumblers for our room.
- Tom (9/5): Wonderful Totland B&B - Lovely location, nice rooms and wonderful hospitality.
Mike and Vicki are excellent hosts, and the nearby pub is a bonus!
We have visited several times and hope to come back soon.
- Gillian (10/5): Happy and enjoyable great places to visit . - A great place to stay.peaceful rural location ,pleasant surroundings perfect for a winding down few days.lovely friendly atmosphere warm and comfortable accomodation. Will definately return sometime. There was nothing I could truthfully complain about ,we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
- Jacqui (8/5): Very pleasant - Relaxed
Quiet & non intrusive The steps into the bathroom from the bedroom especially at night
Very small bathroom no space for toiletries
- Anthony (9/5): -
- Pauline (10/5): A Comfortable Few Days Away - Lovely setting. Exceptional hosts
Very Clean & comfortable.
Great continental breakfast There was nothing we disliked
- Hugh (8/5): -
- Daniel (3/5): -
- Robert (10/5): -
- Merryl (8/5): Nice - would recommend! - Beautiful area and close to walking trails Hard if you don’t have a car for dinners - only one pub walking distance
- Olga (8/5): -
- Cristian (9/5): Great location very friendly hosts. - Historical building in a great location N/A
- Nazia (7/5): Wonderful peaceful - The property is in a very quiet place had a good night sleep. The room was bit dark and the TV was very small kept on one side. I didn’t like the layout of the room.
- Charles (10/5): -
- Juliet (10/5): - Mike and Vicki were wonderful hosts. The perfect B&B
- Richard (10/5): Lovely, comfortable stay with wonderful staff. - Beautiful old boutique hotel, in the woods (very refreshing). Well maintained garden, with blackberry bushes! Vicky is a lovely host, welcoming and very helpful. Continental breakfast available but walked about 20 minutes to nice cafe for full English. There’s also a pub only 5 mins walk which does lunch and dinner (good food!). Vicky helped me find another place to stay when decided to stay another night but Weston Manor was full up! Solo traveller without a car, was about a 20 min walk to the bus stop. Bit of walking on the road but not very busy. Only minor point, and bus route is good and regular.
- Mark (6/5): Ok but not a luxury break! - Lovely position
Good parking
Pretty gardens
Friendly host Very small room
Cramped bathroom
No cooked breakfast..only cold choices - not very exciting
- agnieszka (10/5): - We absolutely loved it - nice view, peaceful and quiet place, 😊
We will be back 😊
Thank you Vicki and Michael for being such a lovely hosts ♥️
Best wishes We didn't find a bit we didn't like. Everything was perfect ♥️
- agnieszka (10/5): - We were amazed by the location, beautiful view, peace and so quiet - something we need ❤️
We loved our stay and we definitely will be back 😊
Thank you Vicki and Michael for being such lovely hosts♥️
All four of us are absolutely satisfied with our choice ♥️
Best wishes ♥️ We didn't find a bit,we didn't like it.
It's
- Gomez (10/5): - Highly recommended.
- Ian (8/5): Fitted our needs for the stay. - Good location if you have car. One local pub nearby but if you want to eat and have a drink then taxi is advisable/essential. Peaceful and very quiet. Long stairs up to room but we are older. No problem for fit people. Also stairs up into ensuite. Queen size bed would have been nice!
- Haiyi (7/5): Great location to all the sites in Freshwater! - The location of this property was very close to sites such as freshwater bay / Headon warren (for the needles). It’s also not far of a drive to Tapnell farm which we spent a day there during the stay. To be honest, I think a lot might be generic for all the old hotels / B&B in the UK, but in particular for this one:
1) bed mattress is very off standard. I can feel springs coming into my backbone when lying down. This would tell how “little” spring that the mattress has. It barely has any support. Both myself and my husband has experienced back pain after 2 nights of stay.
2) breakfast: maybe I didn’t read in detail enough but I would have thought breakfast means hot food (English breaky etc). There is only pastry + milk + tea / coffee and some fruit. While it does the job, it does feel a bit light. I wouldn’t mind paying a bit more to have proper breakfast.
3) parking lot: it’s a little bit far from the entrance which makes loading a bit difficult
- Stephanie (10/5): Excellent stay in sunny Freshwater IoW - Spacious room with en suite. We had a problem with the shower which Mike fixed straightaway. Both Vicky and Mike were friendly hosts and the house itself was a reflection of them. We loved the continental breakfast from 9-10 am which set you up for a day of sightseeing on the island. We will be back. Nothing. It was lovely. Only thing …. We didn’t see any red squirrels 😢
- Thelma (10/5): Rural retreat... - Quiet rural spot. Lovely gardens to relax in. Easy to walk to pub for lovely meals.
Very friendly hosts.
Enjoyed breakfast!
Beautiful old building with interesting history.
- Mary (8/5): Delightful manor house stay - Weston Manor is in a delightful, quiet setting with beautiful gardens and even red squirrels to entertain. The owners were so helpful, giving recommendations for local restaurants and recharging our electric bikes. Our room was large and spacious with lovely views. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast did not not live up to expectations and sadly no cooked options.
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- Anna (10/5): Idyllic garden and lovely hosts - Beautiful location with the most idyllic garden and in walking distance to some amazing sights like the Tennyson Downs or Dimbola Museum. Mike and Vicki and their adorable dogs were super friendly and helpful. We went with our 8 month old and they were very accommodating Not much
- Amanda (9/5): Very relaxing - Breakfast was very good, I particularly enjoyed the warm croissants and panne au chocolate.
I had hoped to see red squirrels whilst on The Isle of Wight and I got plenty of opportunities to watch them in the hotel grounds. There were also birds and butterflies to watch in the quiet pretty garden
Our hosts were happy for us to enjoy a glass of wine in the evenings and were also happy for us to bring food into the hotel. The matress was not as firm as we like.
We prefer an earlier breakfast but Mike did allow us some flexibility.
- Philip (10/5): Great place for a break and explore the Island - Great hosts and the rooms were well equipped and comfortable with reliable fast broadband ideal for streaming. Also, very easy to access walks such as the Tennyson Way. Local Inn a five-minute amble on a quiet road. Was fine no issues
- Andreas (6/5): Ok, but not quite what we expected and not somewhere we would personally choose to stay again. - Great Location, friendly hosts, good wi-fi and lovely historic building. Clean throughout. Red squirrels in garden. Think the pictures of hotel were from a few years back, outdoor area was nice but the seating was on its last legs. Very small TV, Room was very hot despite all windows wide open. Bed was very hard, small and a bit lumpy. There was no lounge or bar.
Biggest issue was breakfast, it was not stated it was just a limited continental with no cooked meats or cheese? Also, breakfast was only available between 9 and 10am, no good for us or a number of the other guests unfortunately.
- Des (9/5): Superb - Comfortable stay, excellent water pressure and a great shower. Good communication from Vicki and Mike.
- Angela (10/5): Lovely house in peaceful surroundings - Weston Manor is in a rural location, quiet and comfortable.
A great welcome by Mike and Vicki attentive, friendly and took time to talk with guests.
Ample breakfast, cereal, fresh fruit yogurt, croissants and pain au chocolat among the offerings.
- Rachel (8/5): Beautiful location - Beautiful setting, we loved the location and the hosts were very friendly and accommodating. We saw red squirrels in the garden which was a bonus!
Lovely big adjoining rooms and the continental breakfast was great Mattress could use updating, it was a bit hard and springy and I did get a sore back (I'm in my 30s!)
Some of the plugs were very low to the ground and it was difficult to plug things into them
- Marian (9/5): Loved it - Garden! Environment! Breakfast! Only one thing...we traveled by bus and asked 2 taxis if they could bring us to hotel but both said they were busy. So we walked whichbwas doable because we traveled light but with a lot of luggage or rain it would be a little far. Maybe a (paid) pick up service from hotel would be a good idea😊
- Jim (3/5): We expected a fantastic stay but we were extremely disappointed - Lovely historic building and gardens. We stayed in room 3. The mattress should have been changed years ago. Two toppers had been tied on top but didn’t stop the springs poking through. Bedside lamps were inadequate. Small table needs replacing. The bathroom needed a deep clean particularly the grouting and extractor fan. It lacked any form of shelving for toiletries etc including in the shower. No toilet roll holder. Rooms apparently aren’t refreshed/cleaned unless requested??? A good continental but no cooked breakfast which we had expected. The pictures on the website are several years old so don’t illustrate what is currently on offer!
- Samuel (10/5): Exceptional -

It was lovely to see the red squirrels. Have no complaints
- Jacki (10/5): Relaxed stay with quiet surroundings. Perfect! - Quiet location in nature. Better coffee would have been better than Nescafé granules.
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Guanxiong (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Russ (10/5): Really enjoyed our stay at Weston Manor - Our hosts were very accommodating and helpful. The location is excellent. Weston Manor was very good value for money, thank you 😁 Nothing.
- James (10/5): Friendly stay in a quiet location - Large comfortable room, great welcome and tasty breakfast The location is very peaceful and quiet
- Zuzanna (10/5): We had an amazing time - Great place, lovely hosts and very nice breakfast!
- Karen (9/5): Superb -
- Dare (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect spot for a family vacation ( 2 adults and two teens), off the beaten track and we were well catered for with our lovely adjoining rooms plus all mod cons. Weston Manor is a peaceful location set within its own grounds and icing on the cake was personable hosts Mike and Vicki, who made our stay most fabulous. Would definitely return again. Nothing.
- Alok (6/5): As expected ina B&B. - It is B&B so dont keep expectations high. Place is in very scenic settings but is quite remote from main city. If is also quite cramped especially the bathroom. Owners were very nice and helpful so full marks to them. Cramped bathroom, remote location
- Aimee (10/5): Beautiful place - It was a lovely place to stay, the hosts are so friendly. Got to see Red squirrels in garden too.
- Daniel (10/5): Great clean accommodation, near fab pub and wonderful breakfast - Great clean accommodation, near fab pub and wonderful breakfast
