Guest Reviews
- Nicholas (8/5): Relaxing break in a well-equipped cottage in a beautiful part of the country. - The cottage was in a great location for exploring nearby beaches and walks. Although it was right in the centre of the town it was very quiet and peaceful. Facilities were good and free parking in nearby streets wasn't a problem. There didn't seem to be any way to recycle rubbish?
- Gillian (9/5): Disappointing accommodation but Wells is a wonderful location - The location was excellent. There was no hot water on arrival and no heating by the same evening. Both repaired the following day.
The stairs are so dangerous. I am amazed you are able to let out a property with such dangerous stairs.
There were no cleaning materials i.e. bleach etc especially in the bathroom.
Generally the standard of household utensils was very bad.
I have never stayed in such a poorly equipped property before.
For the money it was dreadful.
- Sylvia (6/5): Brilliant location. Could do with.updating items. Cleanliness not wonderful - Not told of difficult staircase. At 86 not good. Mismatched crockery. Inefficient cooker. Needs new cushions on sofa and seat pads on dining chairs.
- Julia (9/5): Superb -
- Jayne (10/5): Fantastic, home from home - Brilliant location and extremely comfortable The parking was a bit of an issue, but didn’t spoil things
- Kenneth (8/5): Very good - Cosy. Enjoyed relaxing in the conservatory. No freezer or freezer compartment in the fridge to make ice or freeze packs
- Rebecca (7/5): Small, quaint, comfortable, cottage. - Quaint cottage, great for small families, in great location. Beds were very comfortable. Very clean apart from dust. Very dusty. Stairs in property are quite treacherous but to be expected with this style of cottage. No pictures of the second bedroom which was a small attic room. Claims to have 2 beds but was a single bed with pull out bed underneath which then took up all the floor space. Carpet in bathroom.
- A (5/5): Great location but not clean and needs updating - The location was perfect, staff responded within time frame despite not being able to do much on their end. Overall cottage facilites were good with hot water available in abundance for showers after the beach. The towels were soft and the bed and bedding were divine, very comfortable! The conservatory was an added bonus, as outside could still be enjoyed regardless of the weather. Stairs took some getting used to, bedrooms were lovely and rugs alongside beds were lush. The soft furnishings in the cottage did not meet expectations set by pictures. The sofa was worn, discoloured and lumpy, and the cushions were flat. The light coloured rugs were visibly dirty and had dried food on them. Cottage would definitely benefit from an updated sofa and rugs. The property did not appear to have been vacuumed and there were cobwebs and long grey hairs around the cottage. There was also a large clump of long grey hair in the shower. The outside bin was also overflowing on arrival
- Keith (8/5): Great location for shops and harbour - Great location near the shops and coast. Comfortable beds. Cottage as described on web site. Able to find car parking space down lane most of the time. Staircase is very steep and not suitable if any mobility issues. Limited storage space in top bedroom.
- Winfred (10/5): An excellent stay - Being close to the sea The narrow stairways were challenging, but the rest of the apartment was excellent
- Julie (8/5): Very enjoyable stay and would definitely like to return - Well equipped and comfortable cottage. Great location for shops and food and harbour. Struggled a bit with the stairs
- Kathleen (8/5): Overall a pleasant stay but wouldn’t return to this part of the country. - The property was near to shops, bakeries, cafes and the seafront, whilst still managing to be quiet and peaceful. The stairs are steep and twisting and not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
- K (8/5): Very good -
- John (10/5): Lovely holiday - Location was great Stairs
