• Anouk Oomen (10/5): Paradijs! - Dit was echt een paradijsje! Prachtige ruime kamer met een mega douche. Een prachtig zwembad in een super mooie onderhouden tuin. De apen klauteren in de boom en je zit nog geen 5 minuten lopen van het strand van Santa Teresa af. Hele behulpzame receptie ook. Echt helemaal niks!!
• Charlene (10/5): - The location of this hotel was perfect - out of the "downtown" fray but close to several excellent restaurants and right across the street from beach access. Our room was enough off the street that we heard no street noise. Our room abutted the pool and we had breakfast delivered a couple of mornings that we enjoyed on the patio - the first morning with at least 30 monkeys traveling by in the trees. The breakfast was large, delicious, and economical. Three friends shared this space with a king bed and an extra mattress. This provided room and comfort for all of us. Truly we could not have asked for a better vacation stay.

• Lourens (10/5): Dikke aanrader voor Santa Teresa - Het personeel is top! We hadden een heerlijke “villa” vlakbij het zwembad. Ontbijt werd elke ochtend op afgesproken tijd naar je huisje gebracht. Prachtige tuin met grote kans op het spotten van brulapen, kapucijnapen, vele mooie vogels, grote leguanen en kolibries. Oh ja en vergeet de twee lieve huiskatten niet. Net buiten het centrum van Santa Teresa. Vlakbij het strand, supermarkt en leuke restaurants. Dit hotel is echt een dikke 10 waard. Aanrader! Helemaal nix
• Simone Luigi (9/5): Vale absolutamente la pena - Todo en general era muy bonito, hecho con mucho gusto. La ducha es muy bonita y los bungalows muy espaciosos. El servicio de desayuno es fabuloso, muy puntual. Los trabajadores fueron muy amables y atentos, tienen pensados todos los detalles: sillas de playa, toallas para la playa o piscina, nevera portátil para la playa, etc. No hay mosquiteras en las ventanas lo que te obliga a encender el aire acondicionado todo el rato, ya que hace mucho calor en Santa Teresa. La limpieza de la piscina - el agua no estaba limpia.

• marie (10/5): Endroit chaleureux - Nous avons adoré le personnel et le lieu. Le fait d’être indépendant et l’endroit reste calme et la piscine est peu fréquentée. La plage est accessible à 2 min à pied ce qui est très pratique. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et servis devant la chambre ce qui est parfait ! Le ménage était impeccable et les logements beaux. Ils prêtent une glacière et des chaises pour la plage, et également des serviettes de plage. L’éclairage dans les chambres pourrait être une lumière jaune et chaude plutôt que froide pour donner un aspect plus chaleureux au logement. Hôtel au bord de route mais on le savait déjà.
• Jeff (9/5): Beautiful, comfortable, and perfectly located—an easy place to relax and enjoy Santa Teresa. - The property is beautiful, with a Spanish-inspired design that feels both stylish and relaxed. The rooms were very comfortable, and we especially loved having our own outdoor space with a hammock and cushioned chairs—it was perfect for unwinding in the evening with a glass of wine while listening to live music from the neighbouring property. The pool was pristine and very well maintained—we found ourselves spending a lot of time there both before and after the beach. It’s a quiet, lush space that really adds to the overall experience. The location is also a huge plus—just a 3–5 minute walk to one of the most beautiful stretches of beach, with plenty of quiet spots and natural shade, perfect for setting up a hammock and relaxing. Breakfast delivered right to our casita each morning was such a treat (and always extra coffee, which we appreciated!). José at the front desk was incredibly accommodating and helpful, which made the stay even more enjoyable. We’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Manala Hotel. A couple of minor things to note—the TV standby light is quite bright at night, so we ended up covering it to keep the room darker for sleeping. The AC works well and is definitely needed, though it does run fairly loud and continuously, so we ended up using earplugs at night, which worked fine.
• Miriam (9/5): Tolle Unterkunft, Strandnähe und sehr natürlich angelegt. - Sehr schönes Hotel nah am Strand und umgeben von Natur. Wasserspender in der Rezeption war sehr komfortabel. Sehr nettes, aufmerksames Personal. Die Sonnenuntergänge sind in Santa Teresa einmalig schön. Aus der Steckdose kamen Ameisen, hab ich aber gemeldet, kann mit Silikon behoben werden.

• Jana (10/5): Amazing property immersed in nature! - The staff were so incredibly helpful - we had to leave early to catch the ferry (6:30am) and would miss the breakfast serving window. They proactively accommodated this and brought fresh cut fruit in a to-go container to our room so that we would have something for the road. Alfredo at reception was also very welcoming and even guided us to a local rodeo in Cobano. We also hung out by the pool for a day, where we watched capuchin and howler monkeys interact, it was truly amazing to spend hours doing this! 10/10 experience at Manala!

• Lisa (10/5): We enjoyed it and would come back if we could stay in the same bungalow. - We stayed in the bungalow farthest from the road - number 8 - I highly recommend it. The road is noisy and polluted and we couldn't hear it. A breakfast buffet with more choices would have been preferable. Eggs every day get a little old.

Está perfectamente ubicado, al lado de la playa. Puedes caminar a restaurantes, tiendas, etc. Buen parking. Todo funciona bien, el desayuno es muy bueno, te lo llevan a la habitación a la hora que lo pides y puedes tomar desayuno relajadamente. Si viajas solo, no es un lugar donde vas a poder conocer otros viajeros.

• Jeroen (10/5): Amazing honeymoon - Very spacious for 2, very clean, big shower. The gave us a cool-bag for some drinks at the beach and some chairs + towels for the beach. The sun sets in the sea, so that's a great bonus at the end of the day. We where on our honeymoon and had an amazing stay, it wasn't cheap, but worth it. The "town" is a long and lively road, but.. long. So keep that in mind. Bikes, quads are an easy and mainly used way to travel there

Vi hade utsikt mot poolen och gillade verkligen stället. Personalen var trevlig och hjälpsam. Hade bra samarbetspartners för surf och ATV. Bästa stranden låg nära och många bra restauranger Det enda vi saknade var någonstans att hänga våta badkläder etc. Allt var blött hela tiden

• Ashley (10/5): We had a wonderful time and definitely will be back. - The property is beautiful, there are monkeys all above you in the trees around 6:00 am and then they leave around 7, it’s nice to wake up and watch them, beach access is right across the street and the hotel provides beach chairs and coolers in each room. If you book directly through the hotel the include complementary breakfast every morning, straight to your room. If you do not it’s a 10 dollar fee but well worth it as the breakfast is delicious.

• Rana (9/5): Perfect beachfront location - The location is exceptional you simply cross the road and Santa Teresa Beach is right in front of you. Breakfast at Gula was excellent, and having El Facon next door for dinner was very convenient. The staff are incredible and genuinely helpful. The room is very spacious, and the hammock on the terrace invites you to sit back, relax, and unwind. My room was located next to the public kitchen where breakfast is served to guests, as well as the public restroom by the pool. This made the room quite noisy in the mornings and, as a light sleeper, I was often woken up earlier than expected. Aside from this, everything else was perfect.

• Britta (9/5): Bungalow in schönem Garten - Wir hatten einen Bungalow kurz vor dem Pool, der sehr ruhig gelegen war. Das Zimmer war schön groß, auch die Dusche. Toilette war separat. Die Betten waren bequem mit. Das Frühstück auf der Veranda war sehr lecker. Die Mitarbeiter waren alle sehr freundlich und auch sehr hilfsbereit Wir haben eine Tour zur Isla Tortuga gebucht, die super war. Es sind viele Parkplätze vorhanden. Zum herrlichen Sandstrand war es nicht weit.
• Scott (10/5): Stay here and you wont be disappointed. - Natalia was the most helpful host I ran into in my 10 days in Costa Rica. She helped me plan my next stage of trip and saved me hours getting to my next destination. She even made sure we had a fruit bowl for an early breakfast as our driver got there before breakfast. So close to some of the best sandy beaches we have visited. Close to restaurants and market. Pool was nice too. Cant think of anything we did not like.

The swimming pool was really nice, great location just outside Santa Teresa's centre (so very quiet at night) and right next to the beach. The shower had little pressure, which made showering not so pleasant. Breakfast choices could be improved.

Set off the main road in Santa Teresa, very close proximity to the beach, surf shops, and restaurants, yet just far enough off the road to feel the tranquility of the jungle. The staff were super nice, accommodating, and even helped me with my Spanish. I would LOVE to come stay here again. The bungalows had such cool architecture, were super clean and very comfortable. We even had a little kitty friend that came to keep us company almost daily. ( Bombita!) Loved everything about this place.. I hope the new owners will maintain the charm and keep the wonderful staff they have here. 5 stars!!! I can't think of anything more this place could have offered! It was amazing.. but, maybe a blender in the room to make smoothies would have been perfection??

• Anat (5/5): סביר - עם הכביש הראשי, מול המלון יש כניסה לים (בחי שמשיות או מיטות שיזוף, אבל המלון מספק כיסאות ים). ליד המלון יש מסעדות נהדרות ממש. בקבלה לא הצליחו לעזור לנו עם רכישת כרטיסים למעבורת (לא ברור למה) וגם שלחו אותנו לסופר ברגל וחזרנו באמצע כי הוא היה רחוק

• Christian (9/5): Quiet tropical forest lodges in Santa Teresa - Very nice and spacious lodges, in a beautiful tropical forest setting, refreshing swimming pool under a big mango tree. While we were swimming a howler monkey family visited us in the trees above. The breakfast is very good and will be served to your lodge at the time you indicate. Big bathroom and very spacious shower.

Luis- server, mixologist- so nice. Fabulous omelette at included poolside breakfast. Super value rates. 1 minute walk to best sunset beach and rest/bar. Hotel is half block from main street but super quiet.

Super helpful, kind and made us feel right at home in the beautiful small sustainable resort! We loved the pool and our bungalow, I enjoyed spending the early morning in our hammock. Great location for surfing, beaching and enjoying sunsets at the beach nearby!

• Mark (7/5): Struggles to reflect value for money - The location is great (steps from a section of the beach with great surf) and staff were lovely. Rooms are big with a comfortable bed. St Teresa is a very expensive part of an expensive country, so value for money anywhere along this strip is difficult to find, and Manala is no different. When paying a lot for a room I would expect a proper table to eat breakfast (it is delivered to your room on a tray, but you have to eat off your lap).

The staff were amazing and gave us great tips when we got there! Super close to the beach and a fun walk to the main area of Santa Teresa! Would definitely stay here again!

• Chris (8/5): Nice hotel with big rooms / houses, close to the surfers beach! - The rooms is very big and has a big bed. I loved the big shower also. The pool are is very clean and there is sometimes a cat watching you swim! The whole area is has a lot plants and feels like a jungle. When you cross the road there is a direct access to one of the worlds most famous surfer beaches! The breakfast in front of the room (no breakfast area) is not very comfortable. Especially with mosquitos chasing already in the morning. The walk to the city on the dirt road is not the nicest, there are a lot of quads and cars driving kind of fast.
