• Van Neste (10/5): Tophosts! - De locatie in Vukël is prachtig, de weg erheen ook. de ontvangst hartelijk, het eten traditioneel en lekker, de kamer comfortabel en netjes. Lucia wandelde ook met ons mee naar een verborgen rivier met waterval. Zeer aan te raden. Helemaal niks.

Lucia et Noni sont très accueillants et bienveillants. Lucia nous a accompagné faire une petite rando à la rivière, c’était très sympa. Et la nuit étoilée 🤩

• Tom (10/5): Our new second home - Amazing couple who made is feel better than at home. They took amazing care of us and their care and attention for their work was easily visible throughout our stay. The food was plentiful and really delicious. Two meals a day was more than enough for us. The location and view were extraordinary and made the cosy atmosphere even easier to enjoy. The road towards the accomodation (about 8km) is unpaved and took us some time, but even with our FWD city car it was easily manageable, as it has recently been resurfaced, is not that steep, and is very wide.

• Nelly (10/5): Unforgettable! - Lucie and Ndue were such warm, welcoming hosts—I felt at home right away. The house was cozy and comfortable, and their new bar across the road served great food and drinks. The road to the house has been improved, so access is easy now. The views were absolutely unreal—pictures don’t do them justice. One of the best places I’ve ever stayed. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area. Thank you again, Lucie and Ndue—I’ll definitely be back! x

• Maria Lamberto (9/5): stanning views - The couple that runs the place is absolutely awesome. Really welcoming and kind. The meals they prepare are really good and everyone what very satisfied after each dinner. The terrace at the top of the house has the best views ever. The road to get there is a bit hard for a little car like us but it can be done. It would have been nice to have access to a kettle so we could have boiled some water to make ourselves a coffee without having to bother the host.

Die Unterkunft ist schlicht, aber es ist alles da, was man braucht - inklusive viel Freundlichkeit und Unterstützung bei allem. Ich hoffe, diesen Ort noch einmal besuchen zu können, er ist eine klare Empfehlung!

• Kris (10/5): - Great place and excellent hosts! All the amenities are good and the area is amazing. You will have anything you need and the Vidio’s is amazing! The photos do not do it justice - there are 2 available indoors bathrooms; and the road to the village has now been repaired and redone thus, the place can be reached by any type of vehicle. Highly recommended!

Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a wonderful experience in a very beautiful village not yet crowded by tourists.

The dinner that I had here was really delicious :) Even the Wi-Fi worked very well although I didn't expect that in such a remote place in Albania. Everything was amazing. I enjoyed every second I spent there.

• Nancy (10/5): Wir wollen wiederkommen! :) - Der Weg nach Vukël ist aktuell eine Schotter Straße und nicht für jeden geeignet. Mit einem Jeep ist die Straße am besten zu schaffen. Wir haben es tatsächlich mit einem Renault Clio geschafft - es war definitiv ein Abenteuer und hat uns etwas Zeit gekostet. …aber das war es uns Wert. Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt (2 Nächte) und hätten gerne verlängert, wenn es nicht geregnet hätte. Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber. Mit Lucia und Nino, denen das Haus gehört haben wir uns sehr wohl und willkommen gefühlt. Das Essen war großartig - alles frisch und selbst hergestellt. Aktuell kann man hier noch Urlaub abseits von vielen Touristen machen. Tatsächlich haben wir bei unserem Aufenthalt keine anderen Touristen gesehen. Wir wollen wieder kommen.

• Andreas (10/5): erholsame Tage in schöner Natur und familiärer Atmosphäre - Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt! Das Haus ist schon älter und damit auch die Zimmer. Aber alles wurde funktional renoviert, ohne dass der Charme verloren gegangen ist. Wir hatten ein eigenes Badezimmer mit Dusche, Bidet und WC, nicht im Zimmer aber auf der Etage. Das Bad war einfach ausgestattet aber sehr sauber. Die Unterkunft ist in einem ruhigen Tal gelegen, umgeben von herrlicher Natur. Von der oberen Terasse hat man eine wunderschöne Aussicht auf die Berge. Die Gastgeber sind sehr, sehr nett und hilfsbereit und trotz sprachlichen Schwierigkeiten haben wir uns gut unterhalten und immer verstanden.. Wir haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt. Das Essen wird immer frisch zubereitet, meist mit Sachen aus dem eigenen Anbau und ist sehr lecker. Wir haben eine Wanderung über Vukel bis Nikc gemacht. Mehr haben wir leider nicht geschafft, beim nächsten Besuch müssen wir länger bleiben. ein kleiner Kühlschrank auf dem Zimmer wäre toll
• Max (9/5): - Landscapes very beautiful. Hosts very kind, tried to help with everything. Something owner gaves some food benefits from himself. Transport to get there limited and need to book it previously. Road also sometimes tricky, but very beautiful. There is a bus that lives approximately 1 - 2 pm, also there is a trucks that transport food and goods to the village. Better to arrange with host about transport if you traveling without car. Also limited ability to buy food, there is one shop in Vukel with limited assortment and need to go there about 2 km, so you are dependent on hostel food. Prices different, from 3 to 12€.
• Nepomuk (10/5): Unfassbar nette Gastgeber! Wir hatten einen tollen authentischen Aufenthalt. - Unfassbar nette Menschen, mit lokalem selbst angebautem Essen und trinken.
• Lidziya (9/5): - Хозяева приняли меня как в свою семью. Очень дружелюбные и помогли во всех вопросах. Угостили вкусным соком. Отель расположен вокруг гор. Вид просто потрясающий. На месте предлагают завтрак/обед/ужин, который будет из продуктов собственного выращивания и происхождения. Комната очень большая, правда было немного душно, т.к. вентилятор не справлялся с температурой. Проезд к отелю не совсем простой, поэтому имейте в виду, что на маленьких авто туда не так просто будет добраться. Но оно того стоит, ради того, чтобы наблюдать рассвет в горах, а ночью в полной темноте за звёздным небом.

• Franziska (10/5): - Absolut alles. Das liebe Besitzerpärchen hat uns sofort in ihre Familie integriert. Das Zimmer ist richtig groß und alles ist aus Holz. Es gibt verschiedene Wandertouren die man von hier starten kann. Die Familie hat Hühner, Ziege, eine Kuh mit Kalb, Katzen und einen Igel. Auch Hund Lassy freut sich wenn man mit ihm spazieren geht. Abkühlen kann man sich beim Wasserfall, das Wasser ist kalt, aber eine Runde schwimmen geht sich aus. Die Straße ist reiner Schotter, wird aber gerade asphaltiert. Also ab Oktober werden in dieses ruhige Idyll dann bestimmt leider mehr Gäste kommen. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt verlängert weil es so schön war. Das Essen ist natürlich auch super lecker. Sehr zu empfehlen. Da gibts nichts. Alles war Perfekt.

• ian (9/5): Spectacular scenery and very friendly hosts. - The location of this little village is spectacular. The narrow road, leading off the main tarmac road and to the small village, is somewhat precarious for a weak-hearted driver but the scenery along the canyon is breath-taking. The hotel is basically a family home and the guest bedrooms are on the second floor, with the rest of the facilities being shared with the hosts. The hosts, husband and wife, are very friendly and welcoming and will offer you whatever they have available to make you feel at home: their home-made food, such as cheese and polenta bread, locally caught fish. We saw their goats and two little kids, newly born. We managed to communicate with a bit of English and Serbo-Croat which the hosts can speak. During our three-night stay there, we went for long walks/hikes around the area, one of them led by the Lucia, the host, who offered kindly to take us up the rocky cliff nearby from where we can see the mountainous landscape in all of its grandeur. The village of Niks is another pleasant 3-4 hour hike towards the mountains where the dirt road loops around and comes back. We highly recommend a visit to the place. We were there in February when the land is still quite bare but when spring is in full swing, the hosts tell us the place looks much greener and full of colour. The pictures for the property do not do full justice to the beauty of the location. There is nothing to complain about as long as visitors understand the conditions as described by the hosts on this site.

• Guest (10/5): - Die beiden Gastgeber sind sehr nette Menschen, sie haben sich gekümmert. Es gab sehr gutes Essen. Die Lage ist äußerst schön, kaum ein Mensch. Hier ist man noch alleine. Man muss genug Zeit für den Weg zur Unterkunft einplanen. Aber der Weg ist machbar (auch mit einem VW Golf).
• Veronika (10/5): - We highly recommend this beautiful place run by very nice family. Lucia and Ndue are very good hosts, the house is very clean and the food is great. After 15 days of traveling in Albania this was like an oasis to relax. 8 km off-road access uphill to their tiny village on motorbike was a perfect part of our adventure. If you have a small rental car that is not 4x4 and you are not an experienced off-road driver, be aware that this can be challenging. We wish Pepushaj family all the best!

• caroline (9/5): Guest house adorable ! - Nous avons aimé l'accueil chaleureux et les repas délicieux et copieux (menu au choix )..truites parfaites !! Nous avons été conseillés pour une balade en montagne . Lucia nous a aussi accompagné jusqu'à la cascade! Nous ne savions pas que l'accès en voiture était compliqué: 7km de route en pierre et bordée de précipices. Nous l'avons fait sans 4×4 mais très lentement (35 minutes).
