Guest Reviews
- Deborah (10/5): We stayed over Hogmanay for two nights, the property was perfect for our stay as it is so spacious with plenty socialisi - It’s a very unique property with lots of space, the kitchen was very well equipped. Everything was super clean. The bar area was perfect for socialising. There is no garden or outdoor space for dogs but plenty of areas nearby.
- mark (10/5): Great comfortable accommodation very roomy and plenty to do with a pool table, table football, darts dominoes, cards - Very clean comfortable property with great space rooms were all great sizes and comfortable beds
The games room downstairs with the bar was great fun which our kids loved while we were they’re
We were they’re for Christmas Day and the owner even had a Christmas tree and decorations up and also got us all a little gift which was so nice of her I can’t fault anything with the property we had a great stay
- David (10/5): Fantastic ! - Amazing property and I would highly recommend a visit. Super comfortable, spotlessly clean and just a great comfortable and social space to spend time in. Would love to come back again.
- brent (10/5): - Spacious well equipped accommodation with a lot of nice thoughtfull added extras.
We were a group of 5 people staying at the accommodation with additional 2 friends visiting on a daily basis and we had plenty of room. Not applicable.
- Ian (9/5): - Very spacious and thoughtfully equipped. Everything we needed was there, plus much more
- Maureen (9/5): Family of gathering - Fabulous quirky place with plenty space to socialise with friends and family while keeping kids entertained. Spacious rooms, lovely decor and very comfortable. All good. Could do with slightly larger table in kitchen to seat 6. But cannot fault it. Had everything need and more.
- Joanne (10/5): Fantastic. - Everything, the place was outstanding. Possibly the best we’ve stayed in. Nothing
- Bruce (10/5): Only 2 days, wish could have been much longer. - The finish and decor, appliances, spacious rooms bathrooms and living spaces were of the utmost high quality. Kitchen superb, location in the village all good. Nothing - all superb
- Gillian (10/5): An amazing house, everything you need for an excellent stay. - We loved everything about the house, it was spotlessly clean. The facilities were amazing especially the games room. Good central location with parking nearby. Great welcome pack from lovely host. Definitely recommend staying here. We couldn’t fault anything.
- Diane (10/5): Stunning property, could not fault. - Beautiful property, with everything you could need provided. The games room was a brilliant bonus. Absolutely nothing. If I had to find fault a booster for WiFi would have been handy as reception wasn’t great but that is it.
- David (10/5): Fabulous find and ideal for Barra Barns venu - This was a fabulous find. Everything you could want and more. Communication was excellent Nothing
- Alison (10/5): Exceptional property - It was fantastic with every attention to detail as well as many additional touches. WiFi doesn’t reach to the bedrooms
- Robert (10/5): The Urquhart - Golf Trip With Friends - The Urquhart was the perfect place for our golfing group to stay for the weekend. Very spacious, exceptionally clean with brilliant social spaces.
We liked the location too, very handy for shops, eating out etc.
Great communication from Jackie, she couldn't have been more helpful.
Would recommend The Urquhart to anyone who might be planning to stay in the area. We have had an annual golf trip in various locations in Scotland for 25+ years and the group all agreed that The Urquhart was the best self-catering accommodation we've experienced. Nothing
- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely big place!
- Jim0100 (10/5): Exceptional - Loved the Urquhart, we were visiting for a family wedding at the Barn @ Barra Castle. This was an ideal location, 5mins in a taxi, beautifully modernised home, warm, comfortable and clean. Highly recommend this property, there were 5 of us, the property is good for 6, a games room and a bar. We had a great stay. Thank you. Nothing.
- Ailsa (10/5): Perfection - Where do I start?! The property is stunning. It’s been designed so thoughtfully, with the guest truly front of mind. The attention to detail is second to none. The facilities are of a very high standard, the extra touches included that were didn’t expect (welcome hamper, toiletries, even a lint roller which came in very handy pre wedding!!) were such a welcome surprise and really gave the stay a very personal touch. We are already trying to schedule in another stay here again! Nothing - everything was perfect.
- Tommy (10/5): Beautiful property, really spacious, definitely recommend - The place was immaculate and really well presented. A lot of nice decoration, the pictures don't do the size of the place justice, we were all pleasantly surprised at how spacious the property was. The beds were comfy and the rooms were all a really good size! We were in the area for a wedding at Meldrum House, and it was really easy to get a taxi there and back, I would definitely recommend!
- Cormack (10/5): Plenty of room for all my family - Lovely house ..
- Ellie (10/5): AMAZING, will absolutely be back for another stay - Everything so carefully thought out, the place was beautiful and so clean, beds were comfy and the bar area was definitely the most used, plenty to do and rooms for everyone depending on what you wanted to do. The area is perfect as well, free car park across the road and never stuck for anywhere to eat, from cafes, bakers, takeaways and pubs. Information on what’s is around is also left in the upstairs den which is perfect. The cinema room was a perfect addition for a film at night, will definitely be back! The only minor thing was the dart board slightly obstructed by the low roof
- Jack (10/5): Cosy and idillic - The perfect split between games area and the more living room feel upstairs. It was the perfect layout and location for a lovely get away from the hustle of life. The house was clean and tidy and well stocked. (Needed some warm socks for the stunning floor)
- Wildweekends (10/5): great - quirky design with cosy rooms nothing
- Watson (10/5): Exceptional -
- Graham (10/5): Exceptional -
