Guest Reviews
- Bruce (5/5): Agents are unprofessional and appalling - Property was O.K. felt like visiting my grannies house in the 70's , washing machine did not work and the neighbours dogs barked incessantly The Host?Real Estate was incompetent and completely unprofessional ... lack of communication from start to finish , tried calling the ph number and always went to voicemail , left 3 messages and no reply.... automated responses delayed , can forgive some of this as perhaps being busy ( personally think it is lack of interest , but always give the benefit of doubt ) what was incredible and appalling was that after we left the "agent" actually accused us of moving around furniture and leaving cigarette buts as well as drugs on the table !!!!!!!!!!!!!! UNBELIEVEABLE ... family with two children , we don't smoke OR DO DRUGS...... told them to check the cctv...... words cannot express the disgust we have for theses ...... AVOID Vacayz and enjoy your holiday .
- Didier (8/5): - Très rustique. éclairage et ventilateur ne marchaient pas dans une chambre
- Wayne (10/5): Place was amazing -
- Angela (8/5): Nice older styler house good for a family - A big yard for boats and trailers and cars .clean Only 1 aircon in the house but it was 35degrees so it would probably be hot everywhere

- Vicki (10/5): Loved everything - Very homely. Lovely. Close to everything.
- Neil (8/5): Good location and value in Urangan - Good location and plenty of space to park a boat at the side of the house. Responsive owner. Dated decor but clean and comfortable, how a beach cottage used to be. A single air conditioner in the lounge just wouldn't turn on, probably user error but hey it's 2025. Didn't mention to the owner who I expect would've investigated quickly.
- Norman (9/5): Schöner Bungalow in guter Lage - Mehrere Schlafzimmer, gute Lage, gutes Preisleistungsverhältnis Zweites Badezimmer nur von draußen zugänglich.

- Maureen (8/5): - Clean & tidy. Had everything we needed for our stay
- Christine (9/5): I really enjoyed my stay - The property was good central to everything Some of the utensils need replacing and the pot and pans
- Rebecca (8/5): Very good - Great family value , nice and close to the shops and beaches.
- Josephine (10/5): Nice in a good location - Good location
- Deanne (10/5): Exceptional - Great location and clean and tidy cute little house. Amazing space with 3 bedrooms. N/A
- Deborah (8/5): It’s basic but comfortable. The price is very reasonable and quite central to water - Great location for function we were attending We didn’t realise we needed to take soap even though I usually do I forgot- if you stay make sure you take shower and hand wash
- Marilyn (10/5): Overall was an awesome stay. Peaceful and spacious - Property was cosy. House was a little spooky at first. No outside lights
- Wayne (10/5): great stay will recommend - location was great close to where we needed to get to
- Flora (9/5): Very nice place for family tides, we recommend it. - The house is very clean, quiet, and close to the beach. The price is reasonable. 1. Some doors made noise when opening and closing, the door hinges may require some WD-40.
2. The oven is a bit old and different from the models in the market, so it took us some time to figure out how to use it.
- Kohei (7/5): Good -
- Tracey (9/5): We had a great time the house was central to everything - It was a good property for me because I had my mum and dad with us my dad has dementia and need some where to relax south out noise the yard was larger enough for both cars we also had all the facilities for when we caught fish so that we could clean them and everything in the house was pretty well provided The lounges were a bit uncomfortable and hard to get out off
- Rosemary (6/5): Pleasant -
- Susan (9/5): Superb -
- Susan (9/5): Welcome upgrades - I like that it is a full house with shed and back yard. And I like the way the owners are always making upgrades to the house to make it more comfortable Nothing
- Susan (8/5): Came home yesterday to a beautifully mowed lawn - typical of the care the hosts take. - A 3 bedroom house is better in size and value for us a family of 5 adults. I like the proximity to the Pier and the Saturday markets there, and nice walks on the local beaches. We have stayed a few times now and it’s a bit like coming home now. The hosts have been very kind to us and helpful whenever we need anything. There are improvements that can be made due to the age of the property, but I am confident that the hosts will continue to upgrade the house as they have the time and funds to do so.
- Sharon (8/5): Thank you for your well presented property. The furniture and styling really took my Mum back to her younger years. It - Convenient location. Room to move. Lovely old but look after decor. There were quite a few cockroaches at night.
- Susan (8/5): good value when you book a month. Great wifi and TV and aircon. Will probably be back again one day. - Many improvements since our last visit. thank you. Air con was very good. Kitchen still lacks a few of the basics. I bought a plug and left it there to help us and future dwellers.
- Jim (7/5): Rather quaint, but served our purpose well. - Very well equipped. Room for a family. Easy parking. Bedside lamps were provided, but there were no power points anywhere near so they were useless.
- Allan (7/5): suitable accommodation for the trip. - The house was old but clean. Appliances were old but useable. For our purposes it was fine.
- Pina (9/5): Restful, and even though a bit dated we still enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again - Had a good size yard, my grandkids live a couple of streets over, with no yard, so loved spending time with Nannie playing in the big yard, great hot water and the beds even though a firm mattress I slept very well Just a musty smell on arrival, this was due to the older furnishings like the lounge, etc
Need to have it steamed clean to remove build up of dust that accumulates in cloth lounges
- Mathew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fiona (5/5): Better than a pocky hotel room for price - The price was ok . It was in a good location not far from beach and shopping . It could do with a really good clean from top to bottom . Dust on bed heads floors not clean , smells quite musty could do with air con and a bit of an update but we enjoyed our stay .
- Ericson (8/5): Very good - 3 toilets, the outdoor furniture from the shed was nice to sit outside and relax, the grass was soft and nice to have some to sit on. The kitchen was very homey - I felt at home, but there was a lot of clutter taking up valuable cupboard space. I would get in and clear out anything not necessary to essential cookware. I can see having one set of old fashioned crockery for display, but the other one in the kitchen should go. We used the plates kept down low as we were afraid of breaking the fancy stuff. Likewise crystal and heavy glass bowls should go. Make way for practical stuff. Couches were uncomfortable. The brass kitchen sink plug would get stuck sometimes. I found a skewer under the sink that others had probably used to wrench it out. On the coldest nights we were fighting over the covers. Luckily, we had one of our own bigger blankets to help that situation. The front gate doesn’t work - falls open. The pedestrian gate gets stuck on the concrete half way open. Overall, I liked it. The spacious yard and the old house worked for me.
- Emily (9/5): Superb - Very affordable and suits our large family perfectly, and so close to all that we want to experience the best of Harvey Bay. Clean and has all we need to get everyone enjoy their holiday.
