- Hephzibah (10/5): A home away from home in my favourite village in the east nook.definitely booking again! - Perfectly located and the feel of home! Comfy beds,
Lovely kitchen, cozy making fire place. What more would you want?!? There wasn’t one thing about the property that we could fault.
- Pertice (10/5): Sad to go - It was so quaint. The artwok was lovely. It was near the water. Great view of the fishing boats.
- Isabella (9/5): A wonderful getaway with gorgeous views! - We loved the location! The house is super close to all the local shops and the beautiful harbor. The house is super cozy!

- Sharon (10/5): So glad I got to stay at Anchor House. - Anchor House is in a great location and has everything you need. The owner was very helpful Nothing
- Pamela (10/5): Home from home with new views! - Lovely feel to the house cosy convenient in a great location loads of light and views of the harbour Kitchen a bit awkward with the table in
- Dominic (8/5): Excellent would recommend - First impressions were not great, the entrance is up some quiet slippy steep steps and it was very scruffy but to be fair think that was the neighbours. Once inside however we were really happy. The house is really nice, the upstairs studio was perfect for my teenager and bigger than some places we have stayed in itself!! You can tell the owner uses this herself which sometimes can be off putting but not here, really homely feel. Comfy beds, lots of extras in kitchen, washing machine, nice open fire, hive heating system was easy to navigate. We visited all the nearby similar villages &Pittenweem Is by far the nicest The outside steps and communal entrance from street to property is scruffy but not owners fault
- richard (10/5): - The location is perfect. Views over the harbour. We walked around the harbour and the town and loved it. We will be back . Little bit pricy to eat in the town but to be expected these days.
- Frank (10/5): Zentrale Lage in idyllischem Fischerdorf - Wunderschönes, verschlafenes Fischerdorf. Das Anchor House ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Heizung und warmes Wasser haben extrem gut funktioniert. Die Küche war ganz neu ausgestattet und es was alles da was man brauchte.

- Martin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Diane (9/5): We had a great time at the property, in was exactly what we needed - Homely and central to shops
- Isobel (9/5): Cosy stay over Christmas - Idyllic location within the pretty village of Pittenweem, easy to walk along coastal path directly from house. House was spacious, comfortable and very homely. Kitchen is especially nice and contained a lot of useful equipment necessary for cooking.
Maia was a great host and welcomed us with Christmas treat on the table since we stayed over the Christmas days. Lovely art work in all the rooms. Dog friendly. Definitely recommending to friends. Windows were in need of a good clean but otherwise house was very clean and tidy. Shower upstairs doesn't get very hot.
- Jasmine (10/5): 💚 Perfect stay 🌊 - Absolutely beautiful house, and location! There was everything our family needed in the property for our stay, and super spacious. (2 adults, 3 children and 2 dogs!)
The location is perfect for exploring the gorgeous Fife Coast.
Owner so kind and helpful, already planning to go back.
- Wilson (8/5): We enjoyed our stay at Anchor House very much; it is in a great location and is well equipped. -
- Gillian (9/5): Quirky, clean, spacious home, didn’t want to leave! - I loved the quirkiness of this apartment, and the homely feel to it. It was well stocked, cosy and comfortable. I only used the first floor but can imagine it being a great place for group/family. Great location near the harbour. Nothing, but outside light at steps would be helpful but torch provided.
- Graham (9/5): Charming, colourful, cosy - The house is so pretty. Lots of period furniture, rugs, beautiful colours, pots of pretty details , lovely views. So cosy and comfortable.
I said in plenty of boring, greige places, this is the opposite: full of charm and character I loved everything but there are steps leading up to the main door, and the beautiful original windows are single glazing, obviously.
- Watson (10/5): Exceptional - The homely feel! Not much at all
- Barbara (10/5): Exceptional - We enjoyed the cozy personality of this property. This is not a cookie cutter hotel-type accommodation, but a unique opportunity to stay in a historic cottage. Pittenweem is a beautiful village and this property is the perfect place from which to explore this special area of Fife. The heating is lovely, the showers are excellent, Ave the kitchen is well equipped. As a book lover, I was delighted to see all of the vintage books, some by my favorite children’s authors, in every room. We loved our stay but as seventy plus year olds, we feel it important to point out that guests need to ascend and descend outside stairs in order to access the flat. This is not a negative, however being older visitors, I thought it important to point this out in the case of mobility issues.
- Immy (9/5): Superb -
- Audrey (8/5): Very good - Great washing machine Spiders
Bedroom pillows and duvet smelt of cigarette smoke
- Christine (8/5): Very good -
- Bruce (8/5): Very good - Location close to waterfront excellent for kids. Selection of games A few things left in drawers from prior guests
- Vicky (8/5): We had a great stay at this house and will be back -
- Robin (10/5): beautiful week by the sea - the location is great, parking was easy, neighbours were friendly, furniture was comfortable, kitchen was new, water was hot. village was beautiful, lovely pub/fish and chip shop, good cafe and great access to Fife coastal path it was all good
- Douglas (8/5): Very good -
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional - great location, comfortable beds, cosy log fire & a well fitted kitchen
- Denise (9/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Anchor House - thank you. - Great location - so lovely to be able to walk straight out onto the coastal paths No parking? But it was fine because we could park just down the road at the harbour. Upstairs shower was a bit lukewarm but downstairs was fine.
- Andrew (9/5): A very easy break from normal chaotic life. - It was so easy , the keys , so much information given , personally loved the open fire made the home cozy in the evenings. The only minor issue was the stairs to the front door (but not really much of an issue).
- Gary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eliza (9/5): Good holiday in a comfortable home. Would certainly have no hesitation to stay there again. - Comfortable home from home, warm, clean, plenty of everything we needed. Met at the property by Maia who was very pleasant and helpful. Fresh eggs were much appreciated. Nothing.
- Henry (7/5): Well situated, friendly host, decorated with some flair, - If you like white walls and black sofas and IKEA,, this is not for you. We had the middle flat over Friday, Saturday, Sunday of Art Festival week ( which added to the experience and can be recommended). No one below, and Artist above only during the day. Quiet, comfortable and colourfully decorated with some flair. Friendly host, generous with shortbread and fresh eggs from her own pet hens. Netflix on tap for free (if you can find anything worth watching - we didn't).
Brand new kitchen with quality electric oven and gas hob and huge range of kitchen tools, crockery, glasses.
Lots of books ,games and a selection of dvd's. Erratic hot water. Double bed very unforgiving ( I normally sleep on an Orthopaedic mattress.) Bit short on the soap.
Windows needed cleaning,
- Aline-wendy (9/5): loved it! - So close to the harbour and very homely. stairs could be awkward for older clients but everything great
