Guest Reviews
- Adam (10/5): Definitely will be back. - Lovely period property amazingly clean and well kitted out credit to its owner
Good local walks
- Lynn (10/5): Lovely cottage, very cosy. - House was amazing and location very good.
- Yvonne (10/5): Lovely cottage in a secluded location heated by a cozy wood-burning stove. - The wood burner in the lounge room kept us cosy and warm. There were also many thoughtful little touches that showed a lot of care had gone into setting up the property for guests, including an extension cord for the hairdryer.
- Jane (8/5): Perfect hideaway lovely comfortable cottage - Extremely clean & comfortable. Hosts were very accommodating as this booking was last minute. Lack of a freezer
- Anna (9/5): Lovely place - Lovely cottage. Immaculate. Gorgeous fire place. Excellent location. Kind gifts on arrival. Nothing. It was all fab.
- Grace Hervé (8/5): - Quiet location
Spacious bathroom

- Peter (10/5): Friendly location super convenient for the local cricket club. - The house is right next to the local cricket club and very friendly. The house is very clean with all required facilities. I would definitely recommend.
- Hannah (10/5): Lovely little getaway whatever you need it for! - Everything. The cottage was well equipped with cooking utensils and everything you need including some milk in the fridge! A welcome basket of wine, crisps and cookies which was lovely. So easy and felt right at home straight away. Beds so comfy and everything so cosy. Powerful shower for a little cottage too. Elaine contacting me to check everything was OK was such a lovely gesture. Thank you so much, will definitely stay again. Beautiful location too and easy access to Halifax. We went to a gig at The Piece Hall on one of the nights and Uber was cheap, quick and easy. Everything was amazing. Nothing!!
- Fiona (10/5): Exceptional - Clean and cosy
- Penelope (10/5): Quiet and comfy - Lovely, clean cottage. Great welcome package. In general, well equipped kitchen and a very smart bathroom. Quiet location and comfy beds for great night's sleep. Nothing really..Ice box would have been nice.
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leila (9/5): Superb -
- Matthew (8/5): Lovely place to visit and just relax by the fire with a wine. Was perfect for our needs. -
- Minshaw (9/5): Lovely Cottage! - The Keeper's Cottage is a lovely, quaint stay in a great location. Our family of four loved our stay in the cottage, it was well equipped, and had great places to visit & hike near by. We will definitely be back! Nothing
- Jayne (9/5): Twixt Christmas short break - The cottage was decorated for Christmas, which was a lovely touch. Very comfortable beds and clean linens. The bottle of wine in the welcome basket was very much appreciated on the night we arrived after a long trip. It was definitely like living at home except for being unable to use the TV. I was upset to find cutlery unwashed in the drawer and poorly wash crockery stacked away. The heating made significant noise, which was resolvable but annoying. The traffic around the cottage is significant as it is next door to the cricket club, which has a club house which is open all year around. As the club has no dedicated parking area and the cottage is situated on a very narrow lane, parking is very tight and busy. Sadly, we don't have a TV streaming account, so we had no use of the TV as it didn't have terrestrial channels, which was very frustrating.
- Vicente (9/5): THIS COTTAGE IS A DREAM - The house is lovely, the landlords have a wonderful taste
The kitchen has everything, literally any kind of tray or glass and they also prepared cookies, milk and a bottle of wine
There was salt, sugar, olive oil, teabags, coffee, aluminium foil, cling film...everything!
The stove works perfect and they've left a full bag of wood bricks for us
TV is great, big size and very new
Surroundings are amazing for a good walk, views of the stone bridge from the bedroom are a dream
We loved every second we've spent The cleaners blamed us for breaking a tap, unfortunately the owners believed them but I understand they rely on them from ages ago, so it's ok even an apology would be accepted so we might be back.
However Rob and Elaine are really nice people, polite and really kind
- Karen (10/5): It was perfect thank you - Lovely quiet location, we loved watching the birds over the river. Everything was beautifully clean. There was everything we needed in the kitchen. clocks are ticky … I think we left all the batteries out, sorry :) There’s a slight smell of dog, which you probably won’t mind if you have a dog
- Maria (8/5): Very relaxing we had great weather which was a bonus - Quite area Too many cars coming and going
- Philippa (10/5): Immaculately clean and well presented cosy cottage - Lovely walks nearby through woods
- Hayley (9/5): Great Location, facilities and comfy beds! - This location is beautiful, secluded and overlooking a babbling stream, beautiful cottage with everything you need for a relaxing break, friendly neighbours and memorable walks on your doorstep. Backs onto a village cricket ground which offers oppourtunity to watch a few runs and have a chilled beer. The hosts are amazing and friendly. Nearby shops offer supplies and lovely quaint villages and pubs galore.
- Karen (8/5): We would definitely stay at Keepers Cottage again, it was a beautiful, comfortable cottage - Beautiful cottage in a fabulous location. Very pretty There was a problem with the water supply to the cottage. We were informed about this before we arrived and everything was done by the host to make our stay as good as possible.
I understand the problem was beyond their control at the time and will be sorted shortly. We were kept updated regarding the problem and supplied with drinking water. As we were visiting relatives nearby and were only sleeping at the cottage it was only a small inconvenience
- Dewhurst (10/5): Lovely cottage in easy reach of local walks - Felt like a home away from home. Everything we needed Na
- Gavin (10/5): Quirky comfort - Beautifully presented, slightly quirky cottage. The owners have thought of everthing that you could possibly need and more. Wish we could have stayed for longer and made the most of everything this cottage has to offer
- Emma (8/5): Prime location , cosy cottage - Location is perfect for
