Guest Reviews
- Tamara (9/5): Cosy and quiet, a great place to recharge after a days work. - Quiet, cosy and restful after a day's work with a decent bed, off street parking and good wi fi.
The kitchen has everything else you need to self cater (except a traditional oven, though I think it's a combi-microwave).
- Stephanie (10/5): - This was my second time staying at Bills. It has everything you need and the bed is very comfy. Full kitchen with a hob and microwave/grill. Roku TV and wifi.
There is also a mini oven under the microwave in the cupboard that cooks really well. Shower is lovely and a private little garden. Exremely quiet location.
Bill is a lovely person and very responsive. He has allowed us an earlier check in and check out on pervious visits at no extra cost. We will def stay at Bills again. Nothing
- Alan (10/5): - Quiet location, spotlessly clean and great value for money.
- Elias_Arco (10/5): Very quiet peaceful and relaxing. Home away from home. - So quiet and peaceful. A gorgeous little property in a quiet suburb. I'm a light sleeper and I'm always tentative booking hotels, but I had a very peaceful sleep, plenty of privacy and a cozy place to unwind. Will definitely stay here again if I return to Coventry. Home away from home. Clear communication from host, excellent price and had everything you need: small fridge, kitchen, sofa, table with chairs. An allocated parking space should you need it.
- Oladoyin (10/5): Stressfree experience - Easy going and quick to respond host Nothing
- Rachael (3/5): Appreciated the option to arrive late, but lodge was unclean. - Close to NEC (15 mins drive). Warm room. Host helpful and accommodated a late arrival (10pm). Unclean. Hairs in sink, shower, toilet, bedside tables. Dirty floors, kitchen counter and kitchen sink. At night it was difficult to find the lodge as the garden was a building site (guessing they’re doing a house renovation) and the lodge was in a separate fenced off area.
- Paul (9/5): Excellent place to stay if you need to be in the area - Comfortable and very convenient N/A
- Oliver (8/5): - NA Perfect for work location
- VALERIE (10/5): -
- Paola (10/5): Perfect for short stays - I’ve stayed at this lodge before and, as always, the experience was wonderful. The place is fully equipped - the kitchenette has everything you might need to cook a proper dinner - and there is a large table that comfortably seats four people, which is ideal for working (I’m a teacher at the University of Warwick).
The bed is very comfortable, and the bathroom, although small, is perfectly functional.
A special mention for the parking: the host provides secure private parking inside the property, protected by a gate - quite simply the best solution. nothing
- Ben (10/5): - Privacy, confort, cosiness, facilities I couldn't find a dust pan and brush
- Lisa (10/5): -
- Tamara (8/5): Pleasant and comfortable - Had everything I needed for a short stay, was quiet and comfortable, tucked away behind a larger house and with it's own yard.
Is about 10 minutes from the University which was very convenient for my trip. It's a little tricky to find when you first arrive (especially in the dark) - you are searching for a high driveway gate and there are several together. But once you know what youre looking for its ok.
- Cara (9/5): - Lovely warm, cosy little lodge. Surprisingly spacious. Had all essentials for a comfortable stay. Great value. Good location for attending events at the NEC.
- Lianne (10/5): Hidden gem - We loved everything about this hidden gem. The private garden was brilliant for our dogs. Don't let the pics fool you it is bigger than you think. Bill is just the cutest and even let us check in early on day of arrival so we could make the most of our 1 night stay. We do little getaways, Caravans and camping and this is the first place my partner has said she truly felt at home and didn't want to leave. We will definitely be returning 😊. Also, milk in the fridge was a lovely little touch. Tea coffee and sugar also supplied. Nothing!
- Paola (10/5): perfect place for short stays - As with my previous stays at this property, I had a very pleasant experience.
The accommodation was comfortable, clean, and well located (I work at the university of Warwick, it's a 8-min drive). The area is quiet, there is private parking inside the property with an automatic gate, and the whole place feels very safe. The kitchenette is fully equipped, and all amenities are provided, including a hairdryer, iron, ironing board, and extra towels. The only minor downside, which does not affect my overall opinion of the property (I have already booked again for January and February), is the shower.
It can be a bit tricky to find a stable warm temperature, as the adjustment is very sensitive. However, after the first use, it becomes easy to manage.
- Paola (10/5): absolutely fantastic! - I have stayed here several times now (this was my third visit), and it just keeps confirming that this is an excellent place to stay. The property is very easy to find and has secure private parking inside the gate, which is a huge plus. The lodge is located in the middle of a beautiful garden, making it incredibly peaceful, quiet, and private - perfect for relaxing after a long workday.
The accommodation itself is extremely comfortable. The bed is great, and the kitchenette is very well equipped - everything you could possibly need is provided. Nothing is missing, and the space feels both practical and cosy.
I travel weekly between York and Coventry for work, and this is by far one of the best places I’ve stayed. Comfortable, calm, and convenient - exactly what you hope for when you’re away from home regularly.
I would absolutely recommend this place and will happily continue to return whenever I’m in the area. The only tiny downside is that the shower temperature can be a little tricky to adjust, but honestly, with a bit of patience you quickly find the right setting, and it’s not an issue at all for me.
- Ellen (9/5): - Our second stay and it was great again. Bill was very responsive and helpful, and the lodge is comfortable and well equipped.
- Amanda (8/5): Comfortable, clean and perfectly located property. - Convenient location to Warwick Uni Nothing
- Paola (10/5): Perfect! - I loved everything about this private lodge — it’s quiet, spotless, and beautifully designed. The kitchenette is modern and very well equipped; I can’t praise enough the fact that it has everything you might need to prepare your own breakfast or dinner. There’s a large table that’s perfect not only for meals but also for working — a real bonus since I was in Coventry for work.
The bed is incredibly comfortable; the bathroom is small but modern, with everything I needed. A special mention for the towels: soft and beautifully scented — such a lovely touch!
The independent entrance and private parking make it feel truly convenient and private — an absolute must for me.
I’ve already booked my next stays for two weeks in December and again in February. That says it all — highly recommended! (I only took one picture but everything was perfect) nothing
- Kathryn (9/5): -
- Alison (10/5): Bill amazing host lovely guy. Would highly recommend. - Clean, everything provided like towels, shampoo conditioner if you wanted. All kitchen facilities etc milk in fridge when we arrived. Very thoughtful. Full smart tv (huge). Host Bill very accommodating. Excellent choice for us as we were visiting the NEC Motorhome show and it was a fab location. Nothing
- Christine (10/5): Comfortable, well designed and equipped room - Quiet location in a residential area but within easy reach of city centre and other attractions. Very comfortable, well equipped and well designed room. Friendly welcome from Bill on arrival, although given instructions to let ourselves in, had he not been there. Small fenced garden, perfect for our dog and would have been a pleasant place to sit if the weather had permitted. Nothing!
- Pamela (7/5): Lovely, especially if you have a dog - This is such a sweet little place to stay. Well equipped and comfortable, with its own little garden which makes it feel very private. The property welcomes dogs- unfortunately for me this meant quite a strong dog smell throughout the lodge.
- Chris (10/5): Fantastic lodge would highly recommend - Really great set up, very well equipped. As a solo female traveller felt very safe and welcome. Travelled with a small dog too and had separate garden for her which was fab. Nothing I would change
- Muhammad Khidhir (10/5): -
- Ann (10/5): Wonderful stay with amazing amenities and lovely host. Perfect stay - Everything. Absolutely perfect There was nothing I didn’t like
- Ewa (9/5): - Very nice clean and cosy, well equipped. Very good communication with the host
- Ashley (10/5): -
- Hilary (9/5): Quiet stay, handy for travel. - Secluded building, good facilities
- Gelu 69 (10/5): -
- Whsara (10/5): -
- loraine (10/5): -
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional - Great location and good property. Enclosed with its own garden like a little home from home.
- Lisa (9/5): Beautiful accommodation for a get away - The garden was amazing and so secure for my dogs. The cooking facilities were great and the bed was really comfy. The skylight could do with a blind as the dawn light woke me up.
- Emmitt (8/5): Handy place to stay for a couple of nights - The Lodge is through the garden behind the main house, with its own private fenced off garden.
It is plenty big enough for a solo traveller or couple, the shower room is small, towels are provided.
The Lodge is well equipped, the host has added little extras like Tea, Coffee, Sugar & Milk.
The only issue I had was the drive is set back and I missed it and had to turn around.
Would definitely stay here again if I was in the area. Signage off the road could be clearer as you can easily drive pass without seeing it.
- Tim (6/5): Pleasant - Decent living/ kitchette/ bedroom., comfy bed- thankyou.
Lighting a bit strange and poorly placed. Was hot day, but not as many good size opening windows as you might expect. Disconcerting appearance of total building site on first arriving- bungalow without roof, and skip and materials(garden lodge was down a side path behind the main property.)
Shower of reasonable size but remaining toilet and washbasin space very cramped and shoehorned in- felt mean.
- Matt (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ann (10/5): Excellent value - Easy to find, Bill gave me the "what 3 words," which always helps,.
Access is via the main back garden.
It's larger than the photos look. Really comfy,.
Yes the shower room is small, but big enough.
There are garden chairs which I took advantage of the sunshine..
Very peaceful, and slept well. (take an eye mask if you don't like the morning sun through the skylight)
- Lucie (7/5): Good -
- Martyn (10/5): Great dog friendly accommodation with everything you need provided. - Garden lodge is the perfect description for this great little "tardis like" space hidden away in a very quiet location with its own garden area and secure parking.
Everything you need is provided.
Couldn't ask for more.
- Mark (9/5): Superb - A great little hideaway, very peaceful and well equipped, 15 mins from NEC
- David (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was excellent, great communication of how to access the property, everything was supplied and a wonderful welcome from the host, I will definitely be returning when next in the area
- Kim (10/5): Found this place looking for an escape from a difficult situation at home and I could not have found anything better. B - Absolutely everything! I could very happily live here forever. Don’t want to go home! Not a single thing to dislike
- Whsara (9/5): Superb - Spacious room with a very comfortable bed. Lovely enclosed private garden. Well equipped in the kitchen and bathroom. Quiet area
- Beverley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dale (9/5): Superb -
- Marta (6/5): Ok - Well equipped It wasn’t clean
- Lisa (10/5): Cosy and good value for money, would stay again. - Liked the size of the space, as it's all in one room suitable for couple or single person. If I had stayed longer would have been great to be able to use the kitchen facilities however I was only there for the night time and left early morning. Shower was lovely and warm, the lodge was really cosy and I had a good night's sleep. Very quiet on an evening. I found it difficult to find at first, the entrance to the drive is quite dark and on a busy-ish road so it was hard to be able to stop and look.
- Stephen (9/5): Great place to stay with a great host, good value for money, what's not to like. - Location was perfect for my trip, easy commute to BP Pulse/NEC, Coventry or Birmingham via train, (Tile Hill station park & ride), or road, accommodation was comfortable, clean and well equipped. Also nice quiet location in private garden area. Selection of takeaways or restaurants within walking distance or 5 min drive. Bill the host was great, could not really fault it. Also secure parking off the main road behind wooden gates. Slightly tricky to get correct temp on shower but only a very minor issue for me, I really hesitate to mention it as otherwise brilliant accommodation,
- Jamie (9/5): Superb - Lovely apartment. Nice and quiet. Secure parking. Nothing
- Jennie (10/5): Great location & value for money. - In a great location, very comfortable, everything that you would want for a short stay. Bill the host was very helpful.
- Mark (10/5): Perfect for me and my dog, great host, thank you! - Host is a really nice guy and happy to assist and help should you need it.
Garden Lodge has its own secure garden area, perfect for my dog and secure electric gates providing safe off-road parking.
Peaceful location with all amenities locally.
Internet TV, cooking facilities, large shower, comfy double bed, sofa, and table to do my work.
Couldn't have asked for a nicer host. Perfect, thank you.
- Liz (10/5): Comfiest bed I have ever slept in! -
- Bush (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andy (10/5): Delightful - Secure self contained, warm, private
- Ellen (9/5): Superb - Great property, was perfect for our stay. Kitchen was well equipped and was great to have secure parking behind a gate.
- Amanda (8/5): Very good - Property was in perfect location for an overnight stay when needing to attend a local university. Easy to find and easy to access. Had everything that was needed in the property. Unfortunately toilet wasnt cleaned. Someone had dribbled on the seat and the pan needed a brush. What a shame as without this it would have been perfect.
- Callie (8/5): nice cosy stay - nice and warm, quiet, comfy bed, good communication from owner, lovely little lodge for the night little bit hard to find in the dark and a bit unsettling when you don’t know where you are going on the property.
- Jon (9/5): Clean, spacious, comfortable, and the kitchen was very well supplied. -
- Steve (10/5): Great location and value for money -
- Megan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- J (9/5): Superb -
- Emily (9/5): Great little place, absolutely everything you need, clean and comfortable. - Everything I needed for a night. Private but easily accessible. Comfortable and clean This really isn't a criticism as all the facilities were there and to a high standard, however, as a "bigger" person, the small compact bathroom was a bit more difficult for me
- Basil (10/5): Would stay again without hesitation - Really clean and well laid out accommodation. Lots of thoughtful extras such as milk, teabags etc.
Lovely secure garden. Warm and friendly host Everything was fine
- Elizabeth (7/5): Pleasant stop-over - well equipped apartment, very quiet. Coffee/tea/milk provided. the bathroom was very small. The bed wasn't the most comfortable, a bed topper would probably make a big difference.
- Ashley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (8/5): A great stay - The hosts friendliness and warmth, great value for money accommodation, the fully fitted kitchen, close proximity to Warwick Arts Centre and the free add ons including a pint of milk and biscuits. Part of the pathway to the garden lodge was uneven and could cause people with mobility issues a slight difficulty.
- Jane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Evan (9/5): Superb - Good location, private, secure & host was extremely friendly and helpful. Fantastic value for money. Not applicable. We liked the property & intend to rebook in the future.
- James (9/5): Superb -
- Christine (10/5): Would stay again as best place I have stayed. - Well equipped nice peaceful location, own garden for the dogs, and even a freezer compartment to the fridge meaning I could re freeze my ice pack for travelling on the next day. Comfy and clean.
- Gary (10/5): Couldn’t have been better - Everything Nothing
- Alexandra (9/5): Superb -
- Lyn (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortable, spacious, clean with every facility you could need. Private tucked away and unique
- Chris (9/5): Superb -
- Becky (10/5): Far exceeded the level of comfort and homeliness I expected from a "garden lodge". - Bright and airy lodge set in its own private little garden area. Well-equipped kitchen area. Shower room small, but perfectly formed with space for all the essentials. Comfy sofa - so rare in self-catering! Secure parking on site. Felt safe and secluded - very peaceful overnight.
Host was communicative but never intrusive, kind and helpful. The entire property in which the lodge sits was orderly and well-maintained, as is the lodge itself. Really very little could be improved. If I was forced to find fault with anything, it would be that the shower heat-control works with millimeter-precision, which was a bit fiddly - but it did work!
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location. Room spotless with everything I needed. Very private. Bill was most helpful.
I will be staying again.
- George (10/5): Would recommend! - Friendly host, lovely lodge with everything you need in it. Very comfortable nights stay. 100% recommend.
- Melissa (9/5): Superb - The accommodation was a perfect size for myself and my dog with all the basic essentials needed for a short stay. I particularly liked the ample sized private garden.
- Phil (10/5): Exceptional - Ideal one night stay near our desired destination All good
- Paul (10/5): Amazing will definitely be returning again - All of it! Having to leave
- Helen (10/5): Excellent - Bill is really lovely and welcoming. Garden lodge is just like George Clarke’s amazing spaces. There’s everything you need. Brilliant
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (10/5): Perfect relaxing peaceful - Spot on had everything that was needed and bill was more then helpful
The cans of pop in the fridge was a bonus Nothing
- Ellen (8/5): Just what I needed. Independent well equipped place to stay for short overnight - Enclosed garden for dog.
Nice big room
Nice shower room and kitchen
Controllable heating
Flexible check out time
Cooking well provided for
secluded and private Something wrong with the TV I think
- Vicky (7/5): Warm comfortable and clean stay with good communication. - Well equipped I personal found it hard to find in the dark. But it could have just been me being dizzy.
- Jenine (10/5): A piece of Tranquility. - Warm welcome. Some very nice touches left in the property. Like Tea and milk. Shower bits, sweets, and some soft drinks . Property very warm, even with the wind howling outside. Nothing.
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional - We had a very warm, cosy stay in Bill’s garden lodge. It was very private and spacious - perfect for my husband and our newborn. The addition of the travel cot was a huge help for us too!
- Lugube (10/5): I want to come back again soon :-) - The host was excellent. Nothing
- Neeques (7/5): Really great space to stay but needs better attention to cleaning. - I really liked that it was self a contained cabin and away from the house. It was warm and felt private. Host was really friendly and very helpful. The main thing that let it down was the cleanliness, sadly. Dusty surfaces (bedside tables) and remains of 4-legged previous guests were evident. I’m not a dog person and have allergies so the fact that there was dog hair when I’d specifically asked about animal dander/duvet fillings prior to my stay was disappointing (and affected my allergies). I also had to clean the bathroom sink before using it and it was clear that the shower hadn’t been cleaned properly in between guests.
- Pat (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Brilliant! Nothing
- Marie (10/5): Perfect! - Lots of little extra eg biscuits. Nice and cosy with the heating already on to warm the accommodation.
- Moore (9/5): Superb -
- Klhoodless (10/5): Exceptional - The garden lodge was an absolute bargain and Bill was a very generous host! There was everything you needed and more in the lodge, making it a very comfortable stay, the added touches went a long way! Very spacious and the outdoor privacy was perfect for our little dog. We had a pleasant stay and would definitely recommend it to others if heading in that direction. Thank you for having us 😊
- Peter (9/5): Superb -
- Nataliya (10/5): The best stay - Perfect stay, one of the best I have ever
Thank you so much, Bill!
- Johannah (9/5): Superb -
