We kregen 2 dagen van tevoren bericht dat onze reservering was gecancelled en kregen een andere woning aangeboden op Cochrane Mew die totaal niet aan onze verwachtingen voldeed. We hebben compensatie aangevraagd bij Rest Easy Stays maar 2 weken later nog steeds geen bedrag ontvangen. Waardeloze club. Ze hebben een vervelende stempel gedrukt op ons verblijf in Durham.
• Lorna (1/5): Horrible accommodation and useless support - avoid! - Nothing - it’s truly grim I don’t believe these glowing reviews - when we arrived the key code was incorrect, none of the phone numbers we had were answered, when at last we got a reply and the correct code we found the house had no electricity! We were promised someone would come to help, there was no call back, just a message at 9.30 at night asking if the power was on? We had left and found somewhere else by then. It’s dirty, really shabby, the photos are misleading. Avoid at all costs
• Stefano (8/5): Comfortable, quiet and clean. No frills. - Very clean and very quiet. Spacious. Lack of extras for example dish washer tablets and soap. Apart from four very small biscuits there was no welcome gift eg milk.
• Olivia (10/5): A perfect stay - spotless, welcoming, and ideally located near Durham. - We had the most amazing stay and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience! This was a very last minute booking for us, and Grace went above and beyond to make everything so easy and stress free. She was incredibly helpful from the start and even kindly accommodated a late check out for us, which made such a difference and was hugely appreciated. The accommodation itself was spotless beautifully clean, tidy, and really well looked after. It had absolutely everything we could possibly need, which made it feel like a real home away from home. You can tell a lot of care has gone into making guests feel comfortable. The location was also perfect. It’s only about a 10 minute taxi ride into the centre of Durham, making it ideal for exploring while still enjoying a peaceful place to stay.

• Carrie (10/5): Perfect stay - It's a home from home. I have stayed in this house a few times with my family. It is perfect 👌 it has everything a family needs. It is clean and has comfortable beds and televisions in each room it is very cosy. Grace was absolutely fantastic she made sure our stay was perfect and was at the end of the phone if a problem occurred. She made things run so smoothly. What a great host! We will be back again. That's a promise! Thank you, grace.

• Anne (8/5): Good value for money. - It was well equipped. Beds were comfortable. Parking was free. Area is quiet. Easy walk to the bus stop. Garden is small and basic.
• Jaime (8/5): We had a good stay and we’re well rested for our visits to Beamish and Durham. - The property was spacious and really well located for Beamish museum and Durham. Off road parking was good too. Comfy beds. The booking.com facilities listed free toiletries so we didn’t bring any for our stay and on arriving at the property there were non. We contacted Grace who replied that it was an error on the listing as they arnt provided but she apologised and really quickly offered to send someone to drop them off. Great customer service although we declined the offer as it wasn’t the end of the world. No waste bins in bedrooms and bathroom and only 4 dining chairs although the house accommodates 5.

• Carrie (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect stay. The property has everything we need, everything needed to cook in the kitchen but still close enough to the city centre for us to have a quick drive for a meal. Will definitely be bringing the family with us on our next stay. The garden was nice and secure for our dog to be able to run around freely. Parking is on a private drive. 10/10 we will be back Nothing
