• Kiana (10/5): Beautiful cozy cottage with incredible views and the loveliest host! - What a beautiful cottage on a beautiful farm/ land! It totally exceeded our expectations to be honest! The host was super responsive and helpful, we had a lovely fire on our porch, relaxed in the hammocks and explored the surrounding fields with beautiful views all the way to the coast! When we said goodbye we had a lovely chat with the host who was so lovely and welcoming! We will definitely be back ! Also the bed and pillows were so comfortable, we slept incredible and it was beautiufl waking up to the sun shining through the windows! There is nothing that we didn't like, it was honestly perfect. You will need a car to get there though however we aren't from the area so unsure about how public transport would work out.

• Walter (10/5): Een heerlijk lang weekend in Dorset. - De ontvangst was bijzonder vriendelijk. Zowel Evie als haar moeder Harriet ontvingen ons met open armen. De cottage is enig en van alle gemakken voorzien, maar dat wisten we al want het is de tweede keer dat we hier kwamen. Het grote terras biedt een prachtig uitzicht over Bellamont House en de vallei. Als je voor rust, natuur, de zee en vriendelijke mensen komt, dan is dit je plek. Plaatsen om te bezoeken: Weymouth, Abbotsbury, West Bay - Jurassic Coast en Portland Island Niets

• Leah (10/5): Cosy weekend away in the countryside! - Loved it! A cosy little cabin on a farm with everything you could need. Lovely grounds and a big terrace to sit outside and enjoy the view. Beds so comfy, our girls loved the ‘secret hideout’ bed - nothing not to like!

• Nicola (8/5): Idyllic for a peaceful getaway. - Cottage Orné is perfect for a short stay. In keeping with the grounds and main house, this chalet offers a touch of French flamboyance, with its’ mezzanine and theatrical curtain feature. Just enough room for the three of us, with a double bed each (including pull out sofa). Lovely hot shower, with vegan friendly toiletries on tap (nice touch!) 💚🌱. The aesthetics bring this accommodation to life, but it’s the setting that really bowls you over. Definitely shouts writing retreat (and I’ll keep this in mind)… All in all, a very sweet find; nestled away in the English countryside. Oh, not forgetting, the pillows were the BEST pillows we’ve slept on (would love to know the brand!). Evie is an excellent host - offering extra bedding and supplies. We met her lovely dogs also. Very sweet. The bathroom was lovely and warm with the heating from the modern radiators. The main living area is heated by a storage heater but it appeared to not be working. I think a lovely little electric fire or log burner would be fabulous here. The shower head could do with a descale as spraying a little - but hot and spacious! Not a big issue. The pull out sofa could do with a mattress topper as the bars are a little hard underneath.

• Christopher (10/5): Highly Recommended - Cottage Orne is the most beautiful little lodge set in a beautiful location with stunning views. It's not too far to drive into Weymouth and have a fun packed day with the kids before returning for a perfect relaxing evening. Evie is so welcoming and helpful. It's spotlessly clean, cozy and comfortable. The kids loved it as we were allowed to explore the grounds and see the animals. We would re-visit time and time again. At night we sat on the decking with a fire pit, which was a perfect ending to our day out I would have no complaints at all about cottage Orne

The kids loved the little bed under the roof, the hammocks and the animals. Great if you are looking for a family stay immersed in nature and just 30 min away from Lyme Regis and Charmouth beach.

The cottage itself has everything you need for a simple getaway and it is beautifully designed. Our absolute favourite part was the outdoor area where we spent most of our time. I couldn't recommend it more, we are already planning a return visit!

• Darryl (10/5): A unique property and a wonderful experience - we will be back. - Nestled in beautiful countryside in Dorset this gorgeous cabin was located on a working farm. It was clean, quiet, well-heated, and beautifully decorated with stunning views of the surrounding countryside and our hosts' fascinating home. The hosts were wonderful, and we struck up a great friendship with them making our seven days stay even more special. Not a gripe at all as I was well aware that the accommodation was on a farm, but unfortunately my car-hire didn't produce the 4-wheel vehicle I was hoping for, so on some of the days when it was wet, we had to park at the bottom of the field where the cabin was located and walk the rest of the way. Absolutely not a problem and it was fun to go up through the field, but just something to be aware of. On the last day, our host leant us a 4-wheel vehicle to bring the luggage down to my car - typical of her care and generosity.

• Laura (10/5): Idyllic location, beautiful views with plenty of character - The location and views are absolutely stunning. We were met by the host and family who were all really friendly. It was a perfect getaway for what we needed. And the cabin was beautifully decorated with lots of character. Peace and quiet! We found it tricky navigating over the sofa bed in the night, but this was a minor issue in an otherwise lovely space!

• Katie (10/5): Wonderful, relaxing Jem of a stay - will be back! - Fabulous quality, beautiful location, warm welcome, tranquil, hammocks, comfy beds, loft sleeping space for kids, well kitted out, fantastic terrace- all together fun and quirky. Bonus of a fabulous outdoor bath as cabin adjacent wasn’t rented! Pure wilderness luxe! Only thing to be aware of is there is a rocky road up to the parking at the property - all okay but worth being aware of the grassy road centre carpet and a few bumps up!
