• philip (10/5): Very lovely apartment in a great location! - The location of the apartment was really good, close to metro station and many restaurants and stores. Nothing at all. It was perfect! Host was very lovely and helpful and the apartment was clean and comfortable.

Monica was kind and always available for anything you need. The location is also very good and practical. We had a nice experience and would love to come back again.

• Elisa-Gabriele (9/5): - Generally very good, room was cheap and in an amazing position! Obviously the space is quite tight for 6 people, but we made it work, well worth the money! the process for checking in could be easier, with writing a big message a few days before this could be solved.

Praticità del check in da remoto tutto senza problemi! Unica piccolissima pecca, l'assenza di una porta tra la camera ed i restanti spazi che riduce un po la privacy ed i rumori se non tutti si svegliano contemporaneamente.

• Istvan (1/5): - We stayed at Domus Catone for 6 nights in Rome, from 17 December to 23 December, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing and stressful. The apartment was infested with cockroaches. We found them everywhere: in the microwave, fridge, kitchen, bathroom, living area, and bedroom. We informed the owner, but the only response was giving us a spray and two traps, which did nothing to solve the problem. The infestation continued throughout our stay. There was toilet paper for one night only. There was also not enough hot water for three people, which was very inconvenient, especially in winter. The breakfast was the exact same croissant every single day, and even when we asked, there was no flexibility or alternative offered. The heating system was extremely noisy and woke us up around 5 a.m. every morning, making it hard to get proper rest. Additionally, the bed mattress was very old and sunken in the middle, making it very uncomfortable to sleep on. Overall, this was an extremely unpleasant experience, and we feel that a refund or compensation is justified given the conditions. We would not recommend this property unless these serious issues are addressed.
• Maria Raquel (8/5): Si no fuera por los días lluviosos hubiera sido genial ! - El apartamento es tal cual a las fotografías, la atención y dulzura de Mónica que ha dado siempre su disponibilidad en días de fiesta muy gentil una persona dulcísima. Posición estratégica para visitar la ciudad del vaticano a dos pasos de la metro. Viajamos con nuestra mascota que se encontró como en casa con un pequeño jardín al internó del condominio .Muy gentiles los autistas que nos ha aconsejado Mónica quien se ofreció en contactar. El servicio de colación no estaba incluida se encuentra una máquina de café y una tetera pero las cápsulas de café que se consumían o los saquitos de te se deben pagar 1€ cada uno se podría haber evitado dejándolo incluido en el precio del alquiler del apartamento; en la nevera se encuentran botellas de agua, cervezas también 2 botellas de vino y espumante no incluido en el precio de la estadía,todo a pagamento.

Modern kitchen, modern bathroom, very good shower, comfortable beds. The appartement is below the ground floor, and this for us was difficult to live with and most of all unexpected. Windows open at pavement level (on nice interior courtyard and garden), and despite being a very nice appartement, the living experience is "cave" like. The description should provide this information clearly, rather than stating that the appartement is on the ground floor.

• Rita (9/5): Excellent location - Location is excellent for visiting the Vatican. St Peter's Basilica is only an easy 10 minute stroll away. The area is quiet despite just being off a busy pedestrianised shopping street and a piazza with plenty of cafes and restaurants. Couldn't get the radiator/towel rail in the bathroom to warm up. Had to dry our towels in the bedroom and living room.

• Beatriz (10/5): Highly recommended - The place is at a walking distance of San Peter's square and Saint Angelo's castle, as well as 5 mins walk from the metro station and a taxi stop. The check in/out was extremely easy. The appartment is very comfortable with a spacious living room where two sofa-beds can be placed if needed. The bedroom.has two beds (double and single). There is a kitchen with all the necessary appliances and a complete badroom. We were there in the winter and the space is nicely warmed by radiators. The owner leaves breakfast tickets for a very nice cafeteria close by. The kitchen is provided with coffee, tea, water bottles, wine and champagne that you can buy if wished. It was not my case but some people may have a problem with the following: It is a ground floor with little natural light. For us it was not a problem at all since we were the entire day outside and the lighting, nice decoration and atmosphere of the appartment fully compensates for that. The sofa-beds in the living room are not so comfortable as the normal beds, but this is expected. I could sleep very well. However if someone heavy is going to use them, this may be a problem. The appartment has room for 3 people (1 double and 1 single bed) without the need to use the sofas.

• Kenn (10/5): Best accommodation for Rome thus far. - Monica was very accommodating and friendly! Checkin was a breeze. The place was spotless and homey. The location was superb for Vatican Museum and Basilica and metro station. Near numerous restaurants. And the AC was functional even in October! Also, breakfast is included at a nearby restaurant! I didn’t expect the bedroom to not have a door (and had a curtain divider instead) but it was no big deal.

• Yelena (10/5): Exceptional - We loved our short stay at Domus Catone, the apartment was spacious and nicely decorated, looks better in person than in the photos :) The kitchen is very well equipped and the beds comfortable. We appreciated that even with 4 of us we still had a place to sit (a couch), which is rare in most places. The courtyard location was quiet and cool even during a horrible heat wave we experienced in Rome, AC worked very well. The location is very convenient to visit Vatican, which was useful for our daily tour. It's also outside of the ZTL zone and important when you arrive by car. We were even able to find parking nearby. The host Monica was amazing and very helpful with directions and parking advice and also welcoming us in person to show us around :) There is a Metro station nearby, but it was unfortunately closed during our stay, I suggest checking ahead if you need to rely on it and finding alternatives and learning how to find a legitimate cab. There are so many shopping dining opportunities in the area (large street lined with shops right outside). It has a residential feel and provides better dining/shopping experience than overcrowded touristy parts IMO. We wish we had more time to enjoy it! Nothing to complain about the place.

We arrived a bit later than our initial check-in time due to issues collecting our luggage, making us delayed by more than an hour. Host replied fast and was very understanding in our delay and met us in person to hand over keys and give a small tour of the accommodation. Location is very nice, and walking distance to Vatican City with the metro close by. The air conditioning was perfect to come back to after spending a whole day out walking in the Italian heat! The kitchen area was a bit small for our group (six of us). Other than that no major issues!

• Luke (10/5): Simply perfect for any occasion or trip - This was a perfect room with amazing air con and a really good location by the Vatican. Monica was simply the best host contacting me beforehand to help with checking in, and met me on the day to take me around the property. She was simply amazing. The rooms were comfortable and the kitchen perfect size for what we needed. The room is located a few steps underground, with windows facing into the courtyard so limited on natural light. Equally so with it having residents and other guests, any noise can be heard. On one occasion we were told off for standing in the courtyard.

• Fanyi (10/5): Great! - It was bigger than expected. And it's very clean. The decor is beautiful I love the style. The location was great: close to the metro and the Vatican, and the landlord was very friendly and answered questions patiently! Because it's on the ground floor, so it could be a little damp. And the windows open onto the outside courtyard aisle, when u open the windows may lack some of privacy, so if you mind these problem you may need to consider these issues. But apart from that, everything is great and worth the price.

Walkable distance from Vatican City. 15-minute drive to the Coliseum Good and responsive host. It is in an old building; cleaning can be improved. There should be more utensils in the kitchen.

Yes, without a doubt. Noisy teenagers. It is obviously out of the hosts control but sometimes there would be gatherings of dozens of young boys somewhere in the building.

• Glenda (5/5): Felt like an Air bnb experience which is not my cup of tea - Clean and walking distance to the Vatican. 1 bathroom for 7 grown ups is horrible! The main door to go inside the building did not automatically open and someone had to go out and open it for the person which was so much of a hassle. The host kept asking me about my check in and check out times and made me feel pressured about my time and schedule which is a big minus in my opinion as I am a person who wants to take things easy when I am on vacation.

• Taryn (7/5): Pretty good value for a group, beds uncomfortable - It slept all 6 of us comfortably. It was really well equipped and the bathroom was very nicely done. It was clean and it was close to Vatican City, and pretty decent price. Beds were very uncomfortable, i can understand the pull outs being not the best but the main bed was even almost to the point of looking forward to leaving which i don’t like saying. Another thing i thought was a negative was all the terrible canvas pictures of roles sites plastered on every single wall and even embedded in the wood partitions. It was just bad. The entire place would have been so so adorable without any of the canvas prints. Bare walls woukd have been much better. It just makes it look so touristy and not in a positive way.
