Guest Reviews
- Martin (8/5): - Did not eat there, breakfast at £16 per person is too rich for my wallet. Very nice area and surroundings, the room is huge and has a mini kitchen with crockery glasses fridge microwave kettle and toaster.

- Kevin (9/5): Great location, especially if you are a golfer - Excellent hotel large rooms with comfortable bed.
Microwave and fridge.
Plenty of crockery etc Nothing all was good.
Separate building from dining room not a big issue
Window looked out on to a grass bank, again not a big issue
- Andrew (8/5): - Lovely location and facilities Food in the Bar/Restaurant was a bit pricey
- Jason (9/5): -
- david (7/5): Comfortable, good location, - Didn't have any Only negative is room needed updating
- Paul (5/5): - Drains made constant noise through the night, staff unfriendly and not very helpful
- Sophie (10/5): Superb - The facilities. Amazing swimming pool and sauna- steam room. It was great for children. The food was delicious and the first place to ask if we wanted the children’s meals out first to keep them occupied whilst we waited for our main meals! staff were excellent 👌 Can’t think of anything.
- Ryan (8/5): I would stay again - Location The room was a little dated

- Graeme (10/5): A great stay with wonderful facilities. - A wonderful stay at Penhros Park. Huge room with a small kitchen also. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable! Nothing!
- Anthony (8/5): Reception needs work - Room was great size , well equipped and pleasant. Reception staff didn't inform us about pool requirements, £1 for locker , no towels provided, would've been helpful. No info on breakfast times, had to go back to ask, then we were given a leaflet with wifi code, meal times etc on it. If we'd been given this as we checked in, it would've been better.
Other staff very helpful.
- Forsyth (9/5): - A very comfortable hotel in a beautiful location, within easy reach of Aberystwyth. The staff were all very welcoming and we really enjoyed the food in the restaurant. Nothing.
- Paul (9/5): Wonderful idyllic break away - Loved the size of the room.
Also the bathroom was great with a lovely overhead shower.
The site had a cosy bar and restaurant. As it had a golf course there was plenty of space to take a walk along the paths, although you had to keep an eye on any golfers on the course.
There was plenty of parking.
The site had a pool and gym but I can't comment on them as we didn't use them on this visit Some of the deco and furniture was a little tired and dated. They could do with a repaint and some replacement. As I mentioned the bathroom looked newer so they do have a programme to update and maintain
- Tom (8/5): Lovely short break - Friendly staff and a good location to Aberaeron and Aberystwyth Nothing
- michael (8/5): - Die Kolonie der Roten Milane.
Die Gegend. Der 9 Loch Golfplatz ist seit 2025 geschlossen. Das war der eigentliche Grund für den Aufenthalt. Schade!!!
- David (10/5): -
- King (7/5): Very short but a lovely stay - Lovely big comfortable room Minor things
- Sandra (8/5): Lovely accommodation in stunning surroundings easily accessible to places of interest. Great food. - Beautiful location in an ideal position for the places we wanted to visit. Evening meal and breakfast were both very good with plenty of choice and all good quality. Accommodation was very quiet and the rooms were very "roomy"
Would definitely stay there again. The towel rail in the bathroom wasn't working so couldn't dry the towels. However we were given clean towels.
- Matthew (6/5): Lovely breakfast, bar and location. - Bar and restaurant were excellent. Breakfast was very good! Room had everything we needed. Bed was very comfy. Having to pay £1 to have the jacuzzi work… room was a little dated but the bathroom was very modern.
- Trevor (10/5): I'll be back. - Great place to stay, friendly staff, clean rooms. Great all round. Nothing
- Amber (7/5): -
- Angela (8/5): - I liked being able to stay where our friends have their caravan on the site The room was very dated and needs upgrading. The bathroom was excellent
- Julia (6/5): Not the best - Access to pool and gym Breakfast was NOT continental. 3 cereals, one which was for children, cocoa pops. No yoghurts. No fresh fruit. Cooked breakfast was NOT pork and leek sausage, just your average catering sausage. Nothing was locally souced. On the plus side, it was served hot. Down side, definitely not worth £16 per breakfast. Complaint made and refund of 1 out of 4 breakfasts given.
- Gareth (9/5): -
- Lee (10/5): -
- Tom (8/5): A lovely place to stay. - The room was great, good facilities such as microwave, sink, fridge and a smart TV. Comfortable bed and clean. The staff were very good, polite and helpful. Good parking and beautiful views. Because of the location, the signal is next to nothing.

Reception was closed on check out at 7.45am
I left my key with a member of staff whose shift didn’t start till 8am!
I did comment this at the time
- Tiona (8/5): - beautiful scenery and friendly people. some dirty glassware/cutlery in our room.
- Suzanne (7/5): Great family room. Good facilities. - Good size family room. Found someone else’s piercing in the bedding.

- M (10/5): Great place, we would definitely recommend and stay again. - Everything, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was a great size, ample storage, and lovely views. Everything was clean, the shower was big and had really good warer pressure. and the beds were very comfortable.
- Isabelle (8/5): -
- Keely (8/5): - Beautiful location and surroundings.
Lovely huge room with unexpected self catering facilities. Great selection of tea and coffee etc with biscuits. Very comfortable. Excellent bathroom and great water pressure for the shower. Really good toiletries. Lovely restaurant and bar with large outdoor seating area. Good breakfast, very helpful staff, nice pool. Small things, heating thermostat didn't seem to be working so room too hot, but turned all radiators off at valve.
Toilet wasn't as clean as everything else. Additional cost for use of jacuzzi, breakfast quite expensive for what served.
- stuart (10/5): - Good location quick check in
- Julie (8/5): Great value for money, comfy beds and good food - what's not to like! - Very comfy beds, huge clean room. Amazing new bathroom. Polite, helpful staff on the desk and restaurant. Food very good with attentive service. Easy to park. Accommodation could do with blinds or ?net as you look directly into accommodation opposite and an overgrown area.
- Robert (10/5): Amazing - Everything from the warm welcome to relaxing in the jacuzzi and amazing food Nothing
- James (8/5): Comfy beds, lovely new modern bathroom and shower, huge room, great mini kitchen in the room, Very good value for money. - Absolutely brilliant value for money at £71 room only. Comfy beds. Lovely shower and modern bathroom. Evening Food was excellent. High tech driving range was fun. Pool was good temperature and sauna was hot. Great kitchenette in the room. Huge bedroom. Staff were really nice too. Found some wood louse in the room and the jacuzzi being £1 in a pay box to get it work was comical! Never had that before! Having to pay to turn the bubbles on surely is going to cause guests to complain, is it actually worth the bad reviews to just make a couple of pounds. Very silly management decision! Continental breakfast selection was very very limited.
- tiff (10/5): - Lovely hotel and pool we had a lovely stay and would come again
- Mel (8/5): - The staff were welcoming and helpful.
- Sophie (10/5): Clean, friendly, large rooms, great value for money! - Staff very friendly and helpful, the room is very large much bigger than usual hotel rooms. Easy access and parking very close to our room.

The spa was lovely, as were the staff. The bar and restaurant are very pleasant, we had a nice, reasonably priced meal. Excellent value for money 😁 A little ugly from outside

- Michael (8/5): Clean & comfortable, breakfast could be more substantial, rooms overpriced. - Breakfast was good but could have been a bit more substantial. The waste bin in my room hadn't been emptied after the previous guest, there were sanitary items in the bin.
- Nimesh (7/5): - Some staff were good cleaners were also good swimming pool was okay but too cold water. Swimming pool was too cold they said heated water
Locker was not accessible
