Guest Reviews
- Jonty Charles (7/5): A great first visit to Islay - Being able to walk to the pub. Overlooking a lovely bay. Room to park your car. Public bus available at the end of the road.
- Michael (8/5): Lovely location. - Lovely location No tin opener. Shower curtain too long for inside bath could get caught up in your feet.
- Gennaro A (7/5): -
- Paul (5/5): - The location. I was disappointed with the standard of cleanliness in the kitchen. The grill and oven where in a poor state and the draws where pots and pans are kept was dirty. The shower curtain had mold on the bottom.
- Adam (9/5): A wonderful, warm cottage for a very peaceful getaway - Very quaint little cottage in a beautiful location. Easy to stay warm too which we needed as we stayed for New Year! Only minor issues were needing to hold the shower hose as it wasn’t attached to the wall. Also slightly dusty which set off my allergies a bit.
- SezRick (9/5): Wonderful quaint cottage - Review:
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful, quaint cottage on Islay. The cozy fireplace made our evenings warm and relaxing, and the view over the harbour was absolutely stunning. We loved watching the seals every morning. The cottage was well equipped with all the facilities we needed for a comfortable stay. Our only suggestion would be to replace the mattresses, as the springs felt flat and no longer very supportive. Otherwise, a lovely place and a memorable visit! The mattresses could do with upgrading as they weren't the most comfortable and had little support.
- Maria (9/5): - The location was lovely, quiet seals in the bay every morning and evening. Local people very welcoming a real quiet place to recharge your batteries. Daughter's wedding so whole village taken over by family. Nothing couldn't fault the stay
- Sally (7/5): Beautiful, would stay again. - Location was beautiful. Cottage charming period features. Basic but just what we needed for the few days we stayed. Dog friendly. Wasn’t ready upon arrival even though our ferry time was communicated. This mistake was rectified within an hour after a few phone calls so that was great. Due to the age of the property, it’s hard to keep
It as clean as possible. We understood this and made sure to keep it as clean as possible when using.
- Jacek (10/5): All very good! - All!! -
- Helen (6/5): Beautiful location just felt the cleanliness and comfort of the cottage was below par - Had to contact the owner as didn’t have the arrival info to hand and he was helpful at giving me info to access the property Felt it could all have been cleaner and the main bedroom smelt a bit musty

- Jude (7/5): Lovely location, pub had really good food. Loved the seals in the bay. - It was right next to the bay where the seals came daily. It was a quaint old cottage.
Log burner made the cottage cosy.
