Guest Reviews
- Janine (8/5): - Was clean spacious Right next to london bridge hearing the trains but can't be helped. However ear plugs and blackout blinds in place
- Allan (5/5): -
- Milinda (8/5): Great location with city vibes - Super location, closer to train lines and bus routes. Located just 100m from the Borough Market which got plenty of food stalls. 5 mins walk to Shard. Getting access to the building was clear and we were happy with the facilities and we used the kitchen which helped us to make simple meals. No lift
- Kelly (8/5): lovely stay for a short duration - location was amazing, very tidy and great apartment Noise from outside - very noisy on 2 nights outside, like a street party at times
- Gabriele (6/5): A cheap place good for a short stay if you plan to spend most of your time outside. - Location is very convenient. Price is very good Very noisy from both railway and rooms (ear plugs are provided). Not perfectly clean.
- David (7/5): Not as good as expected - The location on paper appears to be good. The photos of the apartment are very nice. The location is so close to the noisy railway line and above a pizza place with people loudly talking late into the night. The photos posted are not of the Apartment we had.
- Bobbi (4/5): -
- Kirsty (2/5): Better off in a travelodge - The towels and bed linen were very clean, the bed was comfy (although very soft) and despite the noise, I did sleep okay. I did need to use the ear plugs. I booked in based on the pictures but they’re definitely misleading. There were multiple mouse traps in the room that instantly concerned me. The room was like a sauna even with radiators off and windows open. The shower was clogged so wouldn’t drain water away properly. The toilet flush struggled to clear toilet paper. There was masking tape hanging from the bathroom ceiling and stains up the walls near the desk (slightly off putting when needing to work before checking out). In addition, the communal areas felt very run down and musty, and the whole place didn’t feel secure. I was visiting for a work event and ended up taking all my valuables with me as I didn’t trust the front door lock, and someone tried to open my apartment door in the morning which didn’t help my uneasiness.
- Claude (8/5): - L'emplacement central et la facilité d'accès avec les boîtes à codes Le bruit du samedi soir et l'odeur
- Sian (5/5): Incredible location and easy access however if you are sensitive to noise this is not the place. - The location was perfect for London Bridge and the bedding was lovely and clean. There was an awful smell in the corridors and it was supposed to be two bedrooms not two double beds in one room with a tiny bathroom. There were traps under the beds for vermin and the noise from the people above, the trains etc was very loud making it hard to sleep. It was also very hot and we couldn't seem to find any heating to turn it down but when we opened the window the noise was too much.
- Christine (5/5): -
- Bell (7/5): Clean, quiet and very convenient - Convenient, clean, good bed, quiet No staff, but that was reflected in the price. But it did make it feel a bit bleak
- Blerta (3/5): - Zentrale Lage Bad völlig runtergekommen
- John (1/5): Worst place I have every been to - Nothing at all Everything, there is a nightclub downstairs (ear plugs are provided) closes at 4am
- david (4/5): Disapointing for the price. No wifi , very noisy building. - Location is great No internet, very noisy building, not very clean.
- Mike (2/5): -
- Christopher (10/5): Amazing stay with very central location in London Bridge -
- Simon (4/5): -
- Sandy (7/5): -
- Lady Kellie (1/5): Disappointing. No sleep at all - Nothing Everything
- John (3/5): Very noisy due to being too close to busy railway tracks. No aircon.I won't book again. - I thought the location would be ideal for my meetings around the Southwark area. There are plenty of cafes, and restaurants and the famous Borough Market is close by. It stated the access was to be sent by a message. I assumed this was a text. I didn't receive a text. I rang the proprietor three times, and all went to VM. I didn't receive a callback. I eventually found an email in my junk folder. The flat was so noisy, it was unbelievably close to the train tracks. The trains ran until nearly midnight and started again just after 4 am. It was quite obvious the proprietor knew this as they supply earplugs! No mention of this on the site when booking! It was a hot night also, they do provide a fan, but there is no aircon, and of course, you couldn't open the windows due to the noise from the trains.
- Lisa (4/5): Poor accommodation but great location - The local was ideal for an event I was going too. Someone else was given my room details which was a huge security risk, no apology given. The room smelt like someone had been smoking in it. Not he cleanest either in terms of some hair in the bathroom
- Maciej (10/5): Perfect - Location excellent good size rooms and everything well organised
- Neel Mony (7/5): I got a safe spot to stay. If I were dependent on their wifi, I would’ve been in a bind. The showers pooling water was a - Location The bathroom showers clogged, no Internet
Nic!!!!
- kenny (10/5): - Great location and all you needed. Tea and coffee too. Will be staying again
- Simon (5/5): Adequate - Location Bit run down, tricky to navigate with luggage. Someone kept trying our door in the morning.
- Sura (4/5): Moeite met slapen - Er is een station op wandelafstand wat transport naar andere plaatsen gemakkelijk maakt. Er is een club langs het appartement die blijft doorgaan tot heel laat. Het slapen is niet mogelijk.
- eleonora (3/5): -
- Olivia (9/5): -
- James (9/5): - Massive room with two double beds, clean and well appointed. The property is quite noisy from the road and train lines, the owner has done what they can to block this out but it’s par for the course at such a convenient location and they have put the thought into it, leaving earplugs for guests out
- Ian Lewis (10/5): -
- isabella (7/5): -
- Rebecca (6/5): - Location was great, Noise from the nightclub next door that we didn't know about - fully expected the street noise but not so much the music until 3am
- Hayley (5/5): It’s ‘ok’ wouldn’t be my first choice but it isn’t my last - Good location, the room itself was comfortable enough The second day, the shower wasn’t working and only cold water available. The shared kitchen is not particularly pleasant, and one of the fridges wasn’t switched on
- Edgar (10/5): It was great and I totally recommend that. - I suggest changing the front door of the whole building, as it does not look very secure. Luckily, London is not a dangerous city.
- Iain (4/5): Great location, but be wary - Location and clean Four floors of stairs when we had explained we were both 80. Noise of trains which are 25m from the window. No water pressure so shower inoperable. Would not recommend or use again
- Anthea (7/5): -
- Sarah (5/5): It was great position, just a bit run down - Position Much smaller than picture and a bit run down. Also mouse trap in our bedroom. Didn’t see any staff to say our concerns about trap.
- Tolosa (6/5): Acceptable - The location They send me the code to enter five minutes late and I almost run out of battery
- Alvaro (8/5): -
- Mebruke (5/5): - Wir waren als 4 Köpfige Familie in diesem Apartment.
Für einen Städte Trip ist es ok.....viel Bequemlichkeit ist nicht zu erwarten.
Das Zimmer war sauber.
- Finbarr (4/5): It was cheap and location is great but the rooms themselves are well below acceptable standard - Apartment was grubby and the bathroom was rundown and smelled bad.
- Anthony (5/5): sur le papier c'est magnifique, en réelle ça n'a rien à voir. Très déçu du séjour. - l'emplacement la douche, le bruit, les lits
- Elise Ir (7/5): -
- Jack (8/5): -
- Claire (1/5): Do not book! Unreliable and unprofessional. - Nothing We turned up at 3 pm for check-in, and instead of instructions about how to get in, we received a message cancelling our stay and told to start the refund process.
We were three women stranded in London at 3 pm on a Saturday afternoon in peak tourist season. There was no explanation given and no help offered.
I had no idea how to start the refund process. Messaged the apartments, they ignored us.
Would not recommend.
- Hanna (5/5): Zentral gelegen. Badezimmer sanierungsstau. Loser Wasserhahn. Gerüche nach Abwasser. Undichte Fugen. Schimmel Dusche. - Lage des Appartments zentral Apartment liegt über Nachtclub
Gerüche aus dem Bad, Abflüsse
- Rachel (7/5): Great location near the Shard - Two double beds in the room and close to the Shard, friendly staff in Leos only shower gel in the bathroom and I didn't take any shampoo or conditioner so that was a pain, also ran out of toilet roll
- Stuart (10/5): -
- Daniel (6/5): -
- Joselyn (10/5): - Very helpful staff very accomodating and very good spot to stay 👌 Nothing at all
- Annette (3/5): Much too noisy and too many stairs - The only good thing was it was very close to London Bridge railway station. The property does not have a lift and our apartment was on the 4th floor. Think this should be included in apartment description. Lots of stairs to drag suitcases up and not an easy task. Also very noisy as the trains were in direct line with the apartment and they are constantly going. A couple of hours reprieve overnight only.
- Tracie (5/5): I would not book this place again! - The room was very large. The beds were comfortable but a little soft for me. The location was close to some attractions. The stairs that I needed to climb up to get to the room with my massive suit case were terrible. I would not have booked this place if I had of known I was to walk up a narrow stair case of at least 6 flights of stairs. Also there was no body wash or shampoo in the bathroom. To be able to have a hot shower the water needed to run for at least 5 to 10 mins before hot water came through. Finally if you don’t mind the constant sound of a trains rumbling past constantly then this place is for you!
- Jule (5/5): -
- Matthew (4/5): - The room was right next to the main railway line with trains running all night, and no sound proofing. A pair of earplugs was provided as a bonus.
- Luminita (5/5): Expensive and in need of refurbishment. - Met once cleaning staff who were friendly. Iron and ironing board in a common room. Facilities are more basic than expected for the price. Flimsy sink taps in the bathroom. Very small shower in need of refurbishments. Very limited space for 3 people (in a room advertised that it can take up to 4!), 1 chair, 1 small wardrobe, very small bathroom with insufficient room for even hanging towels. Tea/coffee provided for one off time over 3 days stay.
- Ines (10/5): -
- Kathryn (6/5): Good location for our short trip - Great location, decent size room, clean Issues with shower temperature, taps loose in bathroom, pics a bit misleading, very noisy, train noise was as expected but it was above a nightclub as well.
- Romeo DC (8/5): Great location, near train station and hospital. - Easy access clear information Shower and shower tray needs more cleaning
- Lloyd (1/5): Cancelled on me last second verbally not Cancelling the booking. Then ignored my phone calls. -
- kari (7/5): Se ovenfor - Beliggenhed TV worked but no channels available! Fixtures in bathroom loose and a little ragged
- John (8/5): -
- chun lung (4/5): -
- Denise (7/5): Great location not quite as polished as photos but great place with easy access and a fab pizza place below for late mig - Great location just a few steps from borough market Slightly noisy but ear plugs available and I slept really well but may be an issues if a light sleeper
- Maree (10/5): On welcome Christine was amazing in reception and joy was a treasure.Joy was a treasure the location was great not too b - Great location beautiful and quaint staff were amazing. It would of been nice if breakfast was included but out breakfast staff Joy was exceptional her friendliness and communication fabulous
- Harriet (5/5): -
- Papa (8/5): -
- Daisy (5/5): -
- Jia Xin (7/5): - Very close to London Bridge, convenient check-in/out, was easy extend another night of stay on the day of arrival, nice and cosy design, clean, close to Borough market/Borough yards. Narrow stairways, due to location the trains can be quite noisy, the tap in the bathroom was a bit loose, the temperature control in the shower was very fiddly and was difficult to set to the perfect temperature.
- Simon (6/5): Pleasant -
- Rachel (8/5): Very good -
- Caryn (7/5): Good -
- Nicky (5/5): Passable -
- David (5/5): Passable -
- Vishal (1/5): Bad -
- Kate (9/5): Superb - Location is good & bad at the same time. Mainline trains run past the window which was a bit of a shock to be honest. But the location is great for Borough Market and access to the tube & London Bridge. Tea and coffee tray excellent with biscuits.
Room was clean and comfortable. Fan provided as it was really hot.
Ear plugs provided for train.
We had to phone the helpline as our code didn't work but we got through straight away and they were very helpful. The trains were a shock.
Compared to other places I've stayed in Central London it was expensive.
No lifts - a hand rail for the stairs was broken and then disappeared. My husband has mobility issues so it was pretty horrendous for him trying to get up the stairs.
- Lili (4/5): A very unexpectedly unpleasant experience - Nothing literally! The only positive thing I can mention is the size of the room it was spacious. But that’s where the good part ends. Only the room, not the toilet!!! The location seemed promising, close to London Bridge, which was the main reason I booked. But in reality, the place is right next to a railway or metro line, and the noise was nonstop. It was incredibly hot at night, but we couldn’t open the windows because the noise outside was unbearable. There was no air conditioning, just a fan, which, thankfully, helped us survive the night. We stayed only for one night. Thank God, for 4 more nights I booked another B&B in a very close area, which was much cheaper and more pleasant!
I had also asked the hosts if I could check-in a bit earlier, even just by an hour. They said no! I arrived around 2 PM and had to wait outside on a narrow, strange street that was hot and filled with the smell of all kinds of fried food, honestly, not a pleasant experience. I messaged the hosts again, telling them the situation was unbearable, and finally, 20 minutes before 3 PM, they sent me the key code.
When I walked in, I was really shocked. I couldn’t believe I paid that much money for what I found. To make it worse, the windows were dirty, and the room smelled of smoke and humidity. The rest was still disappointing. The bed linen was wrinkled and I even asked the hosts to change it. The towels were dark grey, which I personally dislike. The toilet was nothing good to mention:( not even a hook to hang the towels. The photos online are misleading, and I’d really urge anyone considering this place to double-check everything before booking.
I asked the host if we could leave our luggage upon early arrival, and was told only one piece per room. Seriously? and what if we are two? Is this your service? No service at all!!!!
I always leave honest, fair feedback on Booking.com, and I don’t usually write reviews like this, but this time, I was genuinely shocked by the experience.
It’s up to you to decide, but personally, I would not recommend this place.
- Damon (7/5): Location near the River Thames & the Shard fantastic. - Liked the London bridge location the reason for booking this apartment. Cheaper then the London bridge hotel where all the stag group stopped. Next to the river & the Shard. Door code sent to your phone at check in time 3pm. Stairs to top floor no lift. Trying to put front access door code in after a night out at 3.30am. Still lots of people around & also sitting in the doorway. Managed to get in OK but not the best & then all the chatting heard from top floor room as windows needed to be open because of the heatwave. Trains running right next to room but was OK with this. Price paid a little expensive i felt especially regarding trying to gain entry to property at 3.30am & no lift & pictures look different to the reality.
- Michelle (1/5): Hostel not apartment - Nothing. Wouldn't recommend. This place is a hostel. Not an apartment. We booked for 2 nights, only stayed 1.
Pictures have an aircon, no aircon in sight.
Bed was very uncomfortable, didn't get any sleep and made myself have a very sore back the following day.
Found an old dirty sock in the cupboard.
The water to have a shower goes from hot to cold without even moving it.
Bathroom was falling apart.
- Dunn (2/5): Very poor - Almost impossible to find. There is a plaque on an old beaten up door that you will not notice. Entry is attained with obscure codes on the confirmation.
Extremely noisy until 3am.
Would not reccomend
- Morgan (1/5): Disappointed - Just local to everything They did not state it was next door to a night club and it was dirty and the bed was dipped and very unclean waste of money
- Carly (8/5): For the Ladies. - Ladies: There is shower gel in a dispenser in the shower (smelt quite nice) no bath mat so take some flip flops. Water pressure is okay but if you have alot of thick hair, it could take a while. The mirror in the bathroom is a ring lit one and is very good. There is no other mirror in the apartment. I had to straighten my hair using the mirrored tissue box.
Bed was comfortable and breakfast downstairs at Leo's was delicious. You only get a free tea/coffee with the full English breakfast (I was charged for this, it was £3.90 and questioned it. The staff gave me £2 back in chnage as a refund. Had an internal argument with myself on being content with £2 or arguing for the principle of it). You also get 20% discount if you mention you stayed in the apartments. Tea/coffee and water are provided in rooms along with a kettle and mugs.
Location is fantastic! We stayed on a Saturday night and the club downstairs was absolutely bouncing. Ear plugs are provided, however if you're a light sleeper, either drink one more glass of wine than usual or go join the party.
- Laura (1/5): Ridiculously expensive for substandard accomodations - The location generally good with respect to accessing train station and waterfront, size of room good. The mattress was the most uncomfortable I have ever tried to sleep on and the pillows were the cheapest tufts of polyester I have evere experienced.
The noise of trains and gregarious partying was absolutely intollerable until at least 3 am.
The number of stairs for me was difficult with luggage. I would have benefitted from knowing that I needed to go up several flights of stairs. I sought a refund the day before as there was a medical emergency with my travel partner but property would not consider anything but 1/2 refund and thus I opted to keep reservation.
- Leanne (8/5): Very good -
- James (7/5): Good - Location The apartment didn't look anything like the accommodation pictures on Booking.com, very misleading and false advertising
- Paul (7/5): Good -
- Nicky (5/5): Disappointing. - The location There were several flaws in the property. The tap in the bathroom was loose, the water was smelly, the room was very basic and seemed to be thrown together.
- Emma (6/5): Fine for the price - This is by no means luxury accommodation but it’s what I expected for the price. Tv on the wall wasn’t working at all but the room was clean. I had no issues getting the code to the room to get in. The location is brilliant, though quite noisy being right next to a train station. TV wasn’t working at all
- Nilam (3/5): Poor - Only convenient thing was the area, very central and lots of things to do by walking distance, as well as public transportation. To get to and from Gatwick airport is easier with train, takes about 30 minutes. Easy check in and check out. Honestly, wouldn’t recommend anyone this place. The photos is taken with panorama setting on camera, so the room was smaller than we expected. It was very hot in the room, would’ve been better with AC than the fan. The area is very loud. With the club next door, the train and the traffic it was hard to get a good night sleep. Small bathroom. Could’ve been cleaner and couldn’t figure out how to select slightly colder water in the shower. THERE IS NO LIFT. We had two big suitcases, which was very heavy and difficult to carry up the tight staircase. No daily cleaning.
- Adina (8/5): Decent property close to London Bridge - The property is very close to London Bridge.
Walking distance to Sky Gardens
Leo‘s Restaurant downstairs has decent food as well as good cocktails. The Pizzeria downstairs is also very good.
We could leave our luggage with Leo‘s Restaurant which was very convenient as our flight was late in the evening. Also if eating with Leo‘s Rest you have a 20% discount for being guests at London Bridge Apartments
For breakfast you have Pret a Manger within walking distance as well as Starbucks.
Very good metro/bus connections within walking distance from the property The property, or at least the room we have stayed in, needs a refresh.
The bathroom is pretty old and room is quite lived in.
Also we stayed for 4 days where there was like 30 degrees outside and having no climatization also not being able to completly open the windows made it difficult to sleep at night.
The noise from the railways is pretty loud, and sleeping with half open windows made it even more difficult.
- Sian (8/5): Very convenient and comfortable - Location was excellent The noise from the trains.
- Holly (8/5): Good - The facilities were as we expected them to be, the room was very clean and tidy, the bed was very comfortable. We also liked the fact we had a fan in our room too because it was really hot over night. We also had a great view from our room. The shared kitchen area was also clean and tidy and how we expected it to be. It was also in a great location. The WiFi didn’t seem to work at all on our floor. We contacted the staff and they said they would get back to us and within half an hour my partner received a call but it then cut off, so my partner tried to ring back numerous times but there was no answer. I messaged them in the end on booking.com and they got back to me saying they would speak with the network provider. The only thing we didn’t like was the WiFi not working properly but also the fact that when you try and ring any of the staff they don’t answer their phones.
- Richard (2/5): Very poor -
- Maz (8/5): Very good -
- Elizabeth (5/5): Good location no frills needs a bit of work watch out for train noise - Location was good and it was cheaper than other places It needs tlc. When we got there I had been given access to a room and someone else was already in the room. They found me another room easily. There was no mirror in the bedroom and I was getting ready to go to a black tie function so not ideal. The entrance needs to feel better it feels slightly student accommodation when you arrive. One of the plug sockets was coming off the wall. Curtains were cheap and not easy to close. Train noise is quite loud.
- Inês (5/5): Passable - Very noisy. Could not sleep
