Plenty of dishwasher tablets I would have a 3rd 2-seater sofa in the lounge area so that we could all sit together
I would put some cloths in the kitchen to help tidying up
- Tracy (9/5): - Beautiful views from the balcony. Lovely feel to the flat. Great location for bars and food. Easy to drive to great walks The mattresses were quite soft. The main bedroom could do with a bigger bed
- Francesca (10/5): - Very clean and had everything you would need. The beds were super comfy and gorgeous view from the terrace. Loved the location
- Gavin (10/5): -
- Clemence (10/5): A gem in the Peak District - Very nice, clean and comfortable. Very easy to access and to settle in.
Lovely kitchen.
Gorgeous view. Very well renovated. The Guest wifi working on and off, but at the end, we lived without it. Somehow the shower was not warm for some of us and warm for others.
- Joanne (10/5): - Is a beautiful apartment, centrally located for lovely walks. Nothing to dislike
- James (9/5): -
- Zuzanna (9/5): - very nice location and good facilities, quite clean, very comfy mattresses bedroom closest to entrance has a VERY squeaky bed
- Chloe (8/5): -
- CATHERINE (10/5): We loved our time here. It was a beautiful apartment and the cafe below was amazing! -
- TRICIA1502 (9/5): Good location - Location. Size. Comfort
- Karen (9/5): -
- rosie (9/5): Quirky and spacious accommodation - Quirky, spacious, great location, very comfortable, very clean, clear instructions on parking and way into property. Minor things relating to kitchen equipment. The following would have been very useful: a sieve, large Pyrex dish suitable for lasagne or similar, large microwavable mixing bowl.
- Richard (9/5): -
- Phillip (10/5): -
- Tony (9/5): Excellent, even weather was with us. - Location ideal for walking in high Peak, good pub (Royal Oak) for drinks and meals, nice cafe round corner ( Cafe Chaps) for breakfast. Small issue - would have preferred single beds in main rooms that could be pushed together for double or split for singles - we were 6 blokes.
- Glynis (10/5): It was great we all enjoy it. - It was clean, comfortable and everything you wanted. The views were beautiful and we will be booking again. There was nothing at all to not like.
- Kate (9/5): - This is a lovely apartment in a great location. It's spacious and very well presented, with good sized rooms and good facilities. Only minor exception being the wifi coverage: it worked fine in the bedrooms but not in the lounge or kitchen so could do with a signal booster or something. It has a lovely terrace with great views and is above the Pug and Pudding cafe which serves amazing food - we had breakfast there on our last day and it was delicious.
- Joanna (10/5): -
- Angela (10/5): - Beautiful views and wonderful comfy cosy hideaway for a family getaway!
- Sandra (8/5): Fabulous location- flat was beautifully finished just a shame about tv and no WiFi - Lovely property- fantastic kitchen and lovely living room area. The balcony was lovely with fabulous views. All the bedrooms were spacious. The TV was temperamental - you could switch on in the morning but after 6 pm it wouldn’t come on at all.
The WiFi was only ever 1 bar and just kept dipping out so was totally unusable.
- Elizabeth (9/5): Perfect place for family stop- over. - Spacious, well equipped, beautiful views over the park from the large terrace.
- Aaron (10/5): A fantastic stay at a wonderful property in a beautiful part of the world - Had everything you need for a fantastic stay. All rooms tastefully decorated. Location is brilliant. Owner is lovely and helpful.
- Trevor (9/5): Fantastic! It was perfect for our annual fishing trip. Hope to make it back next year. Thank you! - Spacious, well appointed and perfectly situated. Only one parking spot at the property for our 3 cars but there was parking directly across the road and the cars were visible from the apartment.
- Stuart (10/5): Spot on place! - Spacious, cosy and great location Not much really
- Julie (9/5): Comfortable stylish perfect location - The location was perfect and the veranda was Devine especially as the sun was shining
- Carlos (10/5): We enjoyed our stay & will probably return again. - Very clean & comfortable accommodation in excellent condition.
Good location with shops & places to eat within a stones throw.
Large outdoor balcony with nice view. Access to the parking area is easily missed so best to plan in advance so you know where it is.

- Samantha (10/5): Can’t fault this apartment. Clean, comfortable and modern. Well placed for walks and all amenities. - Lovely clean, spacious apartment. We were 5 adults and there was plenty of room.
- Sharon (10/5): Had a lovely time. Fantastic property. Would definitely recommend. -
- Paul (10/5): Great place to stay for a family break with everything on the doorstep. - Spacious, comfortable, clean, great location . Really liked the decking area. Nothing
- John (9/5): A great little hideaway - Great size flat and comfortable, good location, friendly owners. A little noisy mornings and early evening, but wouldn't put me off staying again.
- Margaret (8/5): Above a characterful, cheerful amd welcoming café. - Spacious, ancient, and nicely converted building. Wonderful beams in the flat.
Surprisingly quiet, being on the main road through town.
The Pug is a lovely, friendly place and closes at 7.30 on Fri and Sat and earlier every other night. Very helpful and pleasant staff.
Attractive decking and great view to the hills. Not easy to find the front door in the dark. It would have been helpful to be told the flat was above The Pug. Parking space was roomy but rubbish needs clearing from it and lighting in the entrance improved, as it is a bit scary if you are on your own in the dark. The 'finish' of the flat is not great. Doors don't close/open easily because they have not been eased after carpet was laid. Loose hot tap fitting in the tiny ensuite shower room. Surprised that there was no soap.
- Nicola (10/5): Exceptional - So spacious and clean.
Beds and bedding were really lovely.
Kitchen was spotless with everything we needed.
Prosecco glasses was a win too.
- Neil (9/5): An excellent apartment ideally situated - A very comfortable and well equipped apartment ideally situated in the centre of town
- Stephanie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Valerie (10/5): We were attending a wedding in the village. Property was perfect for us. -
- Edwin (9/5): Stunning Peak District apartment. - Spacious apartment which has been lovingly renovated. Large kitchen and lounge area and the bonus was a large balcony with great views. Can sleep up to 6 people. Complimentary box of pastries which were delicious. Traffic was a bit noisy from the main road.
- Katie (10/5): Superb - Excellent location right in the heart of the town. The terrace was fabulous. A large car parking space was provided. The kitchen was the best equipped that I have used. Very clean. Comfy beds. Large rooms.
- Paresh (10/5): Enjoyed very much. - Location is great. Beautiful views. Restaurant below and in the vicinity are great. Property is clean and tidy. Not actually host's fault but son in law is 6' 4'' and bed was little short for him.
- Rob (9/5): Excellent place to stay in Chapel. - Excellent apartment. Hosts great. Clean, comfortable, with all new fittings. Hosts own the restaurant below and the cafe behind; both of which have good food. Private parking a bonus. WiFi a bit sketchy. Otherwise the only thing that I would suggest to the hosts is that information about the stairs up to the apartment and the steps within the apartment should be made available to potential guests. People with mobility issues would find both difficult.
- Stuart (9/5): Superb -
- Julie (9/5): Superb -
- Linda (9/5): Loved it! Will definitely book again when traveling to the Peak District. - Spacious. Exceptionally finished out and decorated. Just lovely and comfortable! The washing machine “did not have water.” Notified the property so hopefully will correct for next guest.
- Indre (9/5): A spacious flat in the centre of a historic town with a view of the hills - So many things to like about this place: the location in the centre of town, a huge balcony overlooking a park and the hills, so much space inside (three beautiful bedrooms, two bathrooms), a fully equipped kitchen, free parking included, all new and clean and affordable. There is even a bookshelf with some books. Two families with children had a great weekend here and the communication with the host was easy. We would have preferred harder mattresses on the beds. Wi-fi would also have been a bit of help. However, the downsides are pretty minor compared to all the advantages we enjoyed.
