• Ann (9/5): Dunbeath resort pods was a surprising and great stop on our trip . - I liked the hiking, proximity to the beach, lobster shack and view from the pod. Would like access to a hot tub and more food options. A chiminea or fire pit would be great because it’s cold and you could sit outside longer

• Anita (10/5): Besonderer Aufenthalt - - wunderschöne und geräumige Cabin mit einer tollen Aussicht auf die Bucht - liebevoll eingerichtet - super netter Gastgeber, Pizza und Getränke konnten wir uns in unsere Kabine holen/bringen lassen, aber auch in dem kleinen Restaurant selbst war es super gemütlich - zum Frühstücken haben wir uns aus dem Restaurant pancakes zubereiten lassen und diese morgens nur nochmal warm gemacht, auch diese waren mega lecker - tolle Aussicht

• Umberto (9/5): Lovely stay. Super view - Lovely position overlooking the sea, with a great walk down to the coast and along the beach. The pod was clean comfortable, and well equipped. Michelle was very kind to lend me her phone to contact car rental when we got a puncture The kitchen area was very small and poorly lit and there is nowhere to eat a meal except outside (bit chilly). A shame there is no local pub or cafe
• Charlotte (8/5): Very good - Stayed as part of our honeymoon NC500 trip. The lodge is larger than we thought it would be with a lovely couch to enjoy the view and a little kitchenette. We ordered pizzas with the host which were delicious. There's a small shop in the village but otherwise no other amenities, which we didn't mind! We walked down to the harbour in the evening and watched the salmon jumping around in the sea. Lovely place, would recommend.

• Léonie (10/5): Beautiful stay at Dunbeath - The cabin was exactly what we were expecting. It was very cosy, beautiful and resourcing. Everything that you need is there : all kitchen utensils, soap/shampoo, bathrobe and slipper for bathtub, tv. A little extra for the jacuzzi with a beautiful view! Next visite to Scotland I will definitely be back. Nothing
• Karen (10/5): Stunning place in a great location with a hot tub - Beautiful Development in a tranquil and scenic spot on the East coast. Very clean and comfortable with everything required for a stopover on the NC500. The hot tub was a bonus! Lovely bathroom too. Check in was easy and Michelle kept in contact with instruction and was available for room service. Shame the restaurant wasn't open as this had been recommended for food. However we understand the reasons why, and pizza and drinks were available to order if required

Michelle was friendly and served great pizza. The beach in 5 minutes walking distance is really beautiful!

• Tia (10/5): Great stay, would come again! - Really nice pod, would definitely stay again. The view was fantastic, it was peaceful and quiet. The dressing gowns are reused for the hot tub so did have stains on them which put us off a bit.

The cleanliness and standard of the pod was perfect If there was room for improvement a little strip light above the hob/kitchen area and same again above the sink in the bathroom would be amazing But didn't dampen our stay!

• Rufus (8/5): Very good - Needed to wait for a form to fill out. Information I needed to fill out was information already known, with the exception of my id nr. After filling the form, it was not even looked at. Waste of time and effort. The pod is located very close to a relatively busy road, with lots of heavy traffic and motorcycles. Expected a much quieter place. Luckily there was almost no traffic during the night.

It has everything you might need and a great bed :) Michelle is an amazing host. I forgot my airpods in the pod and she mailed them back to me! The pod is very close to a main road though you don't hear it at all.

• Catherine (9/5): Superb - The food at the onside restaurant was excellent. The stay was excellent but 12 hours after checking out of property, we realised we had left something behind. We immediately contacted the property, and was told the item has already been thrown out (less than 12 hours after leaving). Appreciate things do get left behind, but very disappointed the property did not wait a little longer before throwing out, as we would have happily paid for the item to be posted back to us.

The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in (I stay in c.20 different hotels p.a.). The owners helped move our luggage to the next place (we are hiking John O'Groats Trail and needed help due to blistering feet). I'd go back just to enjoy the best bed ever!!!

• Lisa (10/5): Over the top! Best host, super restaurant and bar along with a perfect pod and view! - John is the best - forget the rest. My friend and I unfortunately stayed only for two days. When we arrived, our host John was very friendly, told us all the things we should know about the pod and the hot tub and offered a table for dinner which we - thank god - had in the restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious and the bar as well as the pods are made with love. The whole staff was very kind and friendly. Our pod with the hot tub and the view was over the top and we will definitely be back next year.

• Jürgen (10/5): Great location, great value. - The location is simply awesome, view on to the bay. The private Whirlpool was very cozy and definitely all worth the price. A trip down to the beach is 100% recommended. Also try the connected restaurant, it has very good fish and chips!
