• Clare (10/5): Exceptional. Would return in a heartbeat. - My family and I had the most amazing weekend staying at Marina Lodge. It’s a spacious and stylishly decorated apartment which offered my family & I a wonderful base for the weekend. Thoughtful lighting throughout meant you could create a lovely cosy atmosphere in the evening. The double fridge freezer was a real plus for everyone’s food and the fully equipped kitchen was spot on, we wanted for nothing. The location of the apartment was ideal being so close to the Gosport ferry terminal. Parking onsite is available directly outside the building & we were lucky enough to bagsy a spot for the weekend. In addition, we all enjoyed the view of the spinnaker tower from the terrace & living areas. Nothing not to like.
• ANGELA (10/5): Well worth staying - At at truly difficult time for our family, Lylie went out of her way to be extremely kind, supportive and accomodating. Lylie left a lovely welcome pack for us with a selection of items to suit everyone.. Very swift response to all our messages. Lovely accommodation, well situated. Thank you 😊 Not a criticism. But bedside lamps for reading would have been nice (there were wall lights in one room).

• Harris (9/5): A lovely spacious apartment, nicely decorated with all modern appliances. Great for our family visit - Location was good, amenities nearby .easy to get to. Very spacious apartment, nicely furnished and decorated. Beds comfortable. All modern appliances. Needed Two pillows each on the beds, a waste bin in the small toilet and bathroom would have been nice. Also Bedside lamps in two of the bedrooms and two extra stools at the kitchen table. Quite noisy on the first night due to live music in the bar below , not a problem for us but may have been if there were children. The tv in the lounge froze and we could not use it, again not so much of a problem for us.
• Alison (9/5): It was perfect for us, three adults, three lovely bedrooms and we came for a nearby family occasion - The location was very central, near the ferry to Portsmouth and the town centre. The outside terrace is large and there is plenty of parking around. Nothing to dislike

Great to have dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, kitchen roll etc. really good location close to main street, Portsmouth ferry and supermarket. Nice pub just over the road. This wasn’t a problem for us but the music from the bar below could be an issue. All was quiet from 22:30-23:00 hrs
• Georgeta (10/5): Exceptional! - The property was exceptional, it was clean a lovely guide of the area, well organised and equipped. It was nice to go in and feel taken care of! I have put 10 out of 10 because it really was. Just a note for the owner, the temperature control on the shower is super stiff so had trouble adjusting that. Would 100% recommend this place and hope to come back soon!

• Joanne (9/5): Superb - The decor was great, the sofa fantastic and the fact it was a short walk to the ferry was brilliant. Also liked the terrace The matresses. I think they were memory foam so were a bit too soft for me, but that is a personal preference and others might well like a softer mattress

We loved the flat, really appreciated the welcome pack and the communication with Lylie was clear and to the point Struggled slightly with the induction stove in boiling a kettle. One suggestion: have a regular kettle too? (Or perhaps we didn’t spot it!?)

• Rebecca (10/5): Honestly, one of the nicest short term rentals I've come accross. Extreamly good value! Thank you :) - Lylie messaged in advance with clear instructions with how to get in. She was also available during our stay and offered tips for the local area. It was easy to find and no problems with parking either. The place is gorgeous with vibrant decor, spacious and incredibly comfortable beds. The apartment was fresh and clean and Lylie even left us a few drinks and nibbles which was a real luxury! Location is perfect if you want to explore Portsmouth too, the ferry is just a short walk away. You can even see the spinnaker tower from the apartment. The kitchen seems well equipped too although we didn't cook much. The only downside (or depends how you look at it, it could be an upside for some!) is that the flat is on top of a bar, this is written in the description and Lylie messaged us to remind us in advance and to let us know that music will be switched off by 11 which was appreciated. The music was not too loud in the apartment so it wasn't a huge issue, but if you go to bed early earplugs are good to have. We also stayed over a weekend and it was very manageable so I can imagine weekdays are even more so. We planned to go down to the bar to check in out but didn't have time in the end. It looked like a nice place! Some things that would have been nice extra additions would have been a bathroom mat for the shower room simply to dry our feet on after the shower. Plus some bins in the bathrooms would have been appreciated. A simple coffee press would also be nice, there is a coffee machine which we used and worked well but we tend to drink coffee in large amounts and sometimes its easier to just make a pot! These are just small details though, everything we needed was there.
