- Vella (10/5): Excellent place to stay. - The view, clean, had everything you needed. No clothes dryer or dishwasher.
- Olga (7/5): -
- Colin (6/5): Unsatisfied and wasn’t very happy - Fantastic view Wasn’t told that there were stairs a lot of them to access the premises, there were no tv channels available to watch tv, there was only one pedestal fan and as the house faces the west the heat was unbearable and very hot.
- Janeen (9/5): - Location and view A bit out of town and driveway
- Lisa (10/5): -

- tanaya (10/5): A gorgeous property, very comfortable and easy access to all blue mountains must see areas. - Beautiful views, and property, close to all must see areas in blue mountains. Nothing.
- Tim (9/5): Great location, quiet, nature, spotlessly clean, well equipped, relaxing getaway. - Well equipped house. Plenty of heaters and we needed them! House warmed up quickly and the fire place was a great treat. Very clean house and nicely renovated. Wouldn’t recommend for elderly or anyone that cannot walk up more than a few stairs as it is steep entry and several stairs. Fine for us, but just flagging for others in future.
- Darine (10/5): It was the coziest house which was perfect for the cold whether. We definitely recommend staying here - The property was amazing, the view was beautiful, the fireplace was so good, kept us warm the entire time! It was very clean. They provided everything you would need in the kitchen, and in the bathroom. The bedrooms were very clean and stocked up with blankets and pillows. We’ve been to many hotels and none have been as clean and comfortable as this. We had the best stay at emerald view. If we go up to Katoomba again, we’ll definitely be staying here. Just one thing, the couch is a little small in the living room. It’s only a 2 seater, my kids had to sit on the carpet, I would suggest a bigger lounge or maybe adding a second one

- Jeremy (9/5): Tidy cottage with lovely view - Location, view, excellent heater
- Lee (8/5): Very good -
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Teagan (10/5): Excellent bush stay - The views were exceptional! Beds very comfy , location was the perfect place not too far out from town but still giving a secluded bush land vibe...our family really enjoyed our stay No electric clothes dryer
Some days were quite cold and wet and if you still want to enjoy the out doors and sight seeing then an electric clothing dryer is an absolute must for this stay ...that is our only complaint
- Nick (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was great! The wood fire was a definite essential, really created a nice cosy atmosphere!
- Siew (8/5): Very good - Mountain view Location, a bit far from the Katoomba Station
- Marion (8/5): Great stay with good friends. - great location, fully equipped house, comfortable beds, spectacular view. Great gas heater so I wouldn't bother with buying the wood offered for the fire. Our only complaint was the lounge area seating. A house that sleeps 5 people needs more than a two seater lounge, could be reconfigured to add an additional 2 seater.
- Terry (5/5): Passable - Facilities Stairs, slope of driveway
- Matthew (8/5): Very good -
- Amanda (9/5): Lovely place to stay. Quiet, clean with everything we needed. View was lovely. Great sunset - Peaceful, clean and had everything needed for a nice weekend away No coffee machine
- W (7/5): Comfortable with lovely views. - Position was excellent. Very quite. Lovely outlook. Beds comfortable. Very steep drive. People need to know there are a lot of stairs and that you need to buy wood for the fire if you want to use it. Seating was insufficient.
- Cathryn (9/5): I would stay here again - Great spot. Sensational sunsets.
- Ho (8/5): Very good - The privacy of the location The long and narrow slope up to the property. also had to carry the luggage up the stairs to reach the main door
- Fabio (8/5): Good. - Location and cleanliness.
Location is near the center.
The place is clean and tidy. We did not cook, but kitchen amenities are the ones you will need for a short stay. The sink in the shower room is a bit small, and water splatters when you wash your face. But I suppose, it’s good enough for a short stay.
We parked our car close to the plants. My wife slipped and had a couple of bruises, brought by not noticing the end of the cemented area. The plants and the end of the cemented area are too close, thus, we did not easily notice the edge of the cemented area. Just a bit of an unsolicited advice, for future guests, just be extra careful with this and park your car in the middle. It can get slippery when it rains and there are not enough lights to guide your path in the night.
- Eris (8/5): Very good - The view, the house, the rooms There is no air conditioning in the house and we were there around Feb when it was really hot. We had to open all the windows and use a tiny fan. There's no fans in the rooms as well.
- Frieda (10/5): I needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of Sydney and Emerald View was the perfect place to chill out for 3 days - Everything- it is amazing Nothing
- Yulia (10/5): Very quiet and nice cottage - Perfect location, exeptional views. Very clean and tidy cottage. Good equipped kitchen. Please buy the dish drying rack.
- Kate (8/5): Very good - Lovely views
- Frances (7/5): A lovely outlook from a fairly basic little cottage. - The view onto bushland is wonderful. The decor is uninspiring. In particular, the lounge area is dreary, with only one two-seater lounge, which is inadequate when there are more than two people. The heavy wooden cabinet and or wall table could be removed to make a more cosy setting and a couple of scatter cushions or throw would brighten it up. The only rug is tied and dull and leaves white pieces of fluff on things. Also, the kitchen equipment was less than ideal - no bread knife or other sufficiently sharp knife. We had to use a small meat cleaver to chop up most food! The tea towels were poor quality and hopelessly non-absorbent,and there was not even one plastic storage container. There were no mirrors in the bedrooms, which meant that, if the bathroom was in use, you just had to wait until it was free if you needed a mirror to shave, dry your hair or do makeup. It was torrential rain for almost the whole time we were there and I think it would be good to have more than one towel per person, as well as a hand towel for the kitchen.
- Jane (8/5): Enjoyable short break - Lovely views No backyard nor outdoor space, limited kitchen items, one 2-seater couch for a group of 5 of us
- Allison (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sumeet (7/5): Good - No fan or aircon
- Jess (8/5): Very lovely stay. Relaxing, nice view. Comfortable and clean - Very comfortable beds. Lots of natural light Not enough fans…it was hot, even at night. Also a sink in the 2nd bathroom would be good.
- Dhaval (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jenn (10/5): Great views in quiet convenient location - Great location, comfortable and well stocked home with amazing view. Close to many hikes and scenic locations in town. Very comfortable home for a family of 5.
- Chenzhi (9/5): Superb - view and location are perfect.
Just the weather in the day was rainy.
- Anand (10/5): Great stay with amazing views - Location, property and views from the bedrooms were top notch. The property was clean and well prepared for our arrival. A fan would help on the extreme heat days... although it might not be as hot as Sydney out on the blue mountains, it can still get warm and a fan would help.
- Shandell (8/5): Very good - Location was central to our needs. The weird bed in one of the bedrooms, no towels to wipe up with use for cooking.
- Genelle (9/5): A beautiful property up high amongst the trees. - Comfortable, clean, tastefully decorated. Lovely outlook. Noise from the highway
- Theo (8/5): A few issues - Good location and kitchen was nice. Not really a two bathroom house as really just one bathroom with toilet, sink and shower/tub. Other "bathroom" only has a toilet. One of the beds is really strange. Basically a mattress on the floor with a strange platform around it. Not very comfortable getting into and out of for elderly or those with mobility issues. Other bedrooms were good.
- Miki (8/5): Very good -
- Marina (8/5): Great base to explore the Blue Mountains - Great location and views. Well equipped property.
- Kerrie (8/5): Very good -
- Shonagh (8/5): Very good -
- Liam (9/5): Great Location. Great getaway, no headaches. - The location was amazing,
Amenities were a big help. Internet, kitchen facilities, everything stocked.
Like moving into a home for a couple of days.
Great spot away from the world. Highly recommend
Has everything you need, parking, kitchen, bathroom, furniture, internet, TV, Netflix, air con, much better than staying in a traditional hotel/ motel.
If you're not a people person or don't like dealing with hotels and other tenants, this is perfect. No check-in desk/ reception, no neighbours or rowdy people around. Just book and good to go. No dislikes here. All positive.
- Mathew (8/5): Very good - Good location close to Katoomba shops and the 3 sisters. No dryer, no BBQ, only a 2 seater couch, no covered parking.
- Dianne (7/5): Good -
- Gray (9/5): Very enjoyable. Would happily come back again. - Nice view
Very clean and suitable facilities
Clear instructions Pillows were either super hard or super soft (like goldilocks)
- Han (9/5): Superb - Spacious, clean and comfortable house, wonderful view of the Blue Mountains. The lighting was quite bad, very cold.
- Mark (6/5): The stay was marred by the very poor beds poorly outfitted kitchen items kitchen. I would not recommend the property - The sunsets from the front veranda were beautiful. The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable. The bed in the back bedroom had a very hard mattress and hard pillows which we could not sleep on.
The single bed moved very easily and my son ended up with his pillows falling away from the bed owing to the gap at the head of the bed after it moved. He refused to sleep in it.
The kitchen utensils, cookware, knives, cutlery and chinaware had not been thought through and just seemed random items from the owners home. It was disappointing and difficult to prepare a meal and cook it.
The driveway up to the house was very steep and parking space in front of the house narrow.
Gaining entry to the house required a climb up a long set of stairs and would be difficult for someone with mobility issues.
