Guest Reviews
- Vicki (10/5): - Host was very welcoming, lodge was warm clean and beautiful. N/a
- kenneth (4/5): - Price, hot water Traffic noise, owner has several small dogs that yapped late into the night and early in the morning.
- Lynnette (10/5): This was our second stay here and would definitely recommend - Everything. Clean, spacious and comfortable Nothing. We liked all of it.
- Leanne (9/5): - Very affordable and clean. Owner was very responsive, welcoming and helpful. Good location for a dog walk along the canal and easy access into Coventry.
- Mills (6/5): Convenient location for what I needed and a cheap price. - It had everything I needed. Everything smelt a bit stale from the settee to the towels to the bedding.
- Nigel (1/5): Booked Accommodation not Provided - Before arrival it seemed to fit my requirements. Host had doubled booked the accommodation and I arrived second. The host advertises on another bed and breakfast site. He had not dealt with clashing entries in his calendar from different sources According the host this has happened before. The host did not provide the advertised accommodation. The host did not provide any alternative accommodation. Host did refund the fees, however I needed to request this twice. The first time it seemed Booking.com had not refunded me.
- michael (9/5): Host was very friendly and introduced himself to me, and explained he would be available if I needed anything. -
- Ramesh (8/5): - There were utensils for some small cooking .We could make pot noodles for dinner and had tea/coffee.Plenty of Resturants /pubs nearby too.Andy the owner stays in the adjacent property and very helpful.
- Lorna (10/5): A welcoming peaceful stay thank you 🙏 - Warm, comfortable, private, quiet and peaceful, lovely host. Nothing
- Morris (7/5): - Lovely little place, just what we needed to visit family
- Muhammad Tayyab (10/5): Fantastic, value for money - The host is very welcoming, the instructions were very easy to follow but still he came out to show me everything.
- Helen (5/5): - It's was warm, the bedroom was fine but no hairdryer. The location was perfect to the area we needed to be. The lounge area was dirty. The sofas were covered in dog hair. The coffee table wasn't clean, which encouraged the ants when you put a plate down. No kitchen cloth to wipe services with. The sink in the bathroom is ridiculously small. If you are tall, which we are, your head will touch the ceiling. Ants in the bathroom. Noisy from the dogs and traffic.
- Vaiva (10/5): - Malonus šeimininkas, padėjo išspręst visus atsiradusiu papildomus klausimus..Patogus nuvažiavimas su mašina iki traukinių stoties.
- Kirsty T (10/5): Enjoyable - Andy was very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. Nothing
- Claire (10/5): - Andy was very friendly nothing was too much for him and made us feel very welcome and at home Nothing

- Emillie (10/5): -
- Paul (9/5): Great place, but needs a tiny bit more effort to make it excellent - Quiet, spacious, comfortable, big modern TV, warm, good WiFi Tea/coffee facilities were a bit random and not well presented
- SIMON (9/5): Very welcoming. - Location was ideal.
- Dawn (9/5): - Andy the host was very accommodating.
Lovely little property and was ideal for me and the dog whilst visiting friends. Secure garden and a field just across the road for walking the dog.
Lodge was complete with everything needed for my stay.
Will definitely be my go-to place to stay when visiting in future 😄 Nothing

- Faye (8/5): Peaceful stay. - The location was perfect for us, the property was comfortable and we had everything we needed and got a good night's sleep. My dogs were also provided for and had a courtyard to use. Over the road there was a large field to give them a walk. Andy the host kept us updated, greeted us and was very friendly. The property was definitely valie for money. N/A
- Lord Nelson (10/5): -
- Stephen (10/5): Great stay at Danton Lodge. - Clean, neat, tidy. Facilities included cooker, fridge, microwave, toaster. Andy friendly and informative host. Would stay again. Highly recommended. .
- Fiona (10/5): What a great find! - Very clean, spacious and secure garden for my dog. The owner is very friendly and even helped me and my pup in with our luggage. N/A
- Nick (10/5): -
- Joe (10/5): Danton Lodge - Everything. The studio is great has everything you would need for your stay. The whole place is immaculately clean, fresh and bright. Andy the host is great and it was a pleasure to stay with him. The courtyard was very secure and safe for our dogs and with the owner being dog friendly it was a bonus! Would highly recommend Danton Lodge and hope to return in the future 10 out if 10!! There was nothing to dislike.
- Phobzlittlecity (10/5): - It was quiet and comfortable. I have no complaints.
- Andy (6/5): It was okay to stay for a night - Was peaceful and relaxing The ceilings was a bit low the sink in the bathroom was a bit small so was awkward to use the bed was a bit uncomfortable and smelt of cigarettes a bit and the location wernt what was expected felt like was staying in someone’s back garden so was a bit awkward
- Peter (4/5): If you are young and healthy, and don't mind being overlooked, it's a great place to stay - The location was great, and the facilities for cooking and the 'fridge (no freezer compartment) were good. The bed was absolutely terrible. My wife, who has arthritis, found it very difficult to sleep and had two very unpleasant nights. They really need to upgrade to a more modern, comfortable bed. She had to buy a matress topper for £25 just to make a little bit more bearable.
The garden was pretty, but it wasn't good that there were people walking through the garden, frequently. My wife had to close the curtains, which removed the view completely.
- Andrew (6/5): Convenient and available at the time but needs a refresh - Good location for work on this occasion Needs a refresh as the place looks tired now. Also the cleaning needs to be of a higher standard. The mattress is uncomfy.
- Melissa (6/5): Pleasant - Pop up bed or sofa not ideal or comfortable.
Travelling with my dad and the bedroom he was staying being on suite not good if in need to go toilet and having to go into the room he was staying in.
Ants near the door area.
Owner had puppies and were barking quite abit.
I thought the garden area would have been private but wasn't, owner used for puppies to go into another garden area. Also the owners kitchen onlooking into the garden area too.
Music/radio was playing all evening very close to the living room area.
Could have done with a dinning table or trays to eat good on.
- Kelly (10/5): Brilliant - It just felt homely. Was a lovely little place to stay It was clean, comfy you had everything you needed
- Catherine (9/5): Superb - Andy is very welcoming and the accommodation is clean and comfortable
Dog friendly
Thank you for being so welcoming
- Cornell (8/5): Very good -
- Mark (6/5): Potentially great but ultimately not what I hoped. - The bed was very comfortable and having a sofa, kitchen and hob has potential for longer stays. Access was straightforward. The shower would not produce hot water, despite running it for 15 minutes and playing with all available settings. The hot water from the small bathroom sink was tepid at best. Due to its size and design, the sink will only hold 2 to 3 cm's depth of water. Overall, the cleanliness could have been better. The kettle and coffee machine desperately need descaling. The Freeview was glitching and pixilated making most channels unwatchable.
- Jack (8/5): Clean property in a good location for my business trip. - Excellent communication with the host, who even met me upon arrival and ensured everything was organised as needed for my stay. It was a value for money business stay. Sloped ceilings meant I did bang my head a couple of times on one side of the property and in the bathroom area. I only note this if you are very tall you might hit your head more than once during your stay.
- Liz (9/5): Another great weekend at Danton Lodge. Thanks Andy. - Andy is a lovely friendly chap, welcoming and informative Nothing
- Richard (10/5): It was a very nice stay, It was better than advertised, I will definitely go back - Breakfast was not provided or wanted I rented room only, Restaurant 100meters from house Nothing
- Chatta (8/5): Very good - The warm welcome. The serenity of the area. The location is just by the road.
- Scott (9/5): Superb - A lovely modern wee space perfect for our visit to Coventry before Christmas to see family. We were greeted by the owner who couldn't do enough to make sure our 2 night stay was a comfortable one.
The lodge is dog friendly, just make sure your pet respects the place, which our Bailey did.
The enclosed garden/courtyard area leading to and from the entrance was tidy and well kept.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay and will happily book again in the future.
- Della (3/5): Don't stay - Place and location wasn't to bad Owner refusing to contact us in regards to refund due to several issues over the 4 night Xmas stay.
Power cut on first night
Washing machine and fridge tripped out due to in proper electric extension being used. All our fridges food went to waste.
Toilet isn't secure
We had to wash bedding on arrival as stunk of dogs and the sofa also smells bad. Floor needs deep clean new white socks for Xmas but they were black. And not to mention dogs barking early morning all day and late at night.
Asked owner to discuss this with us through booking.coms request and refused to answer so now escalated the matter with photos aswell
Also TV Ariel faulty
- Jen (10/5): Small comfortable place, kitchen, lounge in one , bedroom & bathroom excellent. - Lovely cosy place. Really enjoyed our stay.
really comfy sofa.
Andy very helpful. Bus outside property, garden and parking
Our doggie enjoyed it too. Couldn’t fault it nice stay our doggie enjoyed it too
- Ann (8/5): Very good - The owner is very friendly and we felt safe. The converted building is nicely done and was great as we were going to a party nearby. The only downside for us was his barking dogs unfortunately, we had come away needing quiet, so it was a shame really
- Anthony (4/5): Below average - Not much Noisy, WiFi very poor no access to internet
- Jane (6/5): I think overall a good place to stay but with reservations. Some improvements would make a differenc - Andy was helpful and replied to queries quickly. He also sorted out problems with the heating quickly ( it can get very hot so being able to adjust each radiator was useful) I stayed during a very cold week.
It was 3 mins away by car to where Iwas going each day.
All the facilities advertised were in working order and it was very comfortable. I really only needed a bed for the night and some cooking facilities as I was out a lot of the time.
Good to have towels, soap dispensers and wu liquid
Parking space off road right outside the property with key safe lock on the gate to give access to the garden and chalet accommodation It was not very clean- the floor had had spills that were evident, under the bed was dusty, used j cloth and sponge.
I am a light sleeper- the road was noisy till late and started up early in the morning. The M6 was near as well- these were unavoidable risks that I was mildly aware of
Andy has yappy dogs who start up every time you pass into the garden to come and go. One night they started up in the early hours which woke me up and then it was difficult to get back to sleep
The sink in the shower room ( which was very nice) was far too small to be useful. The soap dispenser just above the sink prevented me from washing my face or brushing my teeth as my head just hit the dispenser. The water in the sink was only luke warm. The shower was lovely
There was enough cutlery but no sharp knife. I had to use a small fruit knife I carry in my bag. I only cooked one night and although a frying pan and saucepan were available, utensils were limited. I suppose most people would just have take aways so not a problem. The microwave, kettle etc were good.
- Marc (9/5): Pleasant & comfortable stay - I arrived quite late, but the check in instructions were spot on...
The host saw me arrive & came to settle me in.
A lovely suite with great facilities, only wished I was staying longer! Nothing!
- Liz (10/5): Exceptional - Comfy good parking
- Sally (9/5): Great property and fantastic stay. - Property was easy to find, keys were easy to get too and it was lovely and clean, with brilliant facilities.
- Julia (9/5): Superb -
- Anne (9/5): Very peaceful and comfortable stay - thank you! - Great apartment, spacious, light, well equipped, comfortable. Fairly quiet location. Space for car. Excellent directions, all necessary info was provided in advance but Andy met me when I arrived and showed me round the apartment, even offered fresh milk for drinks. If staying longer perhaps a few more pans?? Struggling to think of anything else….
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional - Clean, comfortable, great location, lovely host bed very comfy and nice clean comfy sofa.
Great place we will be back
- Liz (10/5): Perfect - Really comfy - and lovely host Nothing
- Steve (10/5): Another great stay at this excellent pet friendly location. - This is the second time I have stayed here. Everything about it is excellent. It's pet friendly. The host is friendly and helpful and it is a great location for getting to places such as Stoneleigh Park. Nothing. Everything was excellent.
- Ali (10/5): Calm, comfy and clean flat - Incredibly friendly People making it feels like home.
- Catherine (10/5): Excellent stopover with dogs - Everything and Andy was very welcoming Nothing to dislike!

- Steve (10/5): Great Pet Friendly Location - Clean and spacious with everything that you could want. Great location and an easy commute to Stoneleigh Park and other event locations. Friendly and helpful host who welcomes pets. Comfy bed and a nice big shower area. Parking space and easy self check in. Felt safe and secure. Nothing. Everything was great.
- Colin (8/5): Perfect for my needs and better equipped than some Hotel rooms - It was well equipped and spacious.
- Saphire (8/5): Very good -
- Amina (9/5): Superb -
- Anthony (8/5): Great value for money, clean, spacious and comfortable , would stay again. - Very spacious and clean accommodation . We stayed with our two dogs and it had a secure area we could let the dogs off the lead at the property. Also right opposite the accommodation across the road was a large green area for our dogs to run around and also a nice walk along the canal. Very well equipped with tea and coffee facilities , nice kitchen area if you wanted to eat in as we did . Hosts were great, very pleasant and helpful. We couldn't get the TV to work when we arrived but they came and sorted it out immediately for us. It was ideal for us and we would stay again if we were in the area. We did feedback that some blinds for the small windows in the lounge area would be helpful. These two small windows are frosted but still let some light in during the early mornings if someone is sleeping in there. The other windows had thick curtains on them and were fine. The owners readily took the feedback from us for this.
- Louise (9/5): Clean, tidy, well equipped accommodation - friendly host :-) - Very clean and there were sachets of tea/coffee and even fruit in the bowl. Parking was a bit of a squish - but not really a problem at all.
- Tibor (9/5): Quiet location, Comfortable, Clean, Excellent Host - Quiet location, Comfortable, Clean, Excellent Host N/A
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional - Outstanding accommodation, and Andy was the perfect host. Totally dog friendly. The accommodation was spotless and ideal location for our show at Stoneleigh Park. There is nothing to dislike.

- Carrie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lesley (10/5): Spotlessly clean and very dog friendly - The enclosed garden was perfect for our dog, and there was a good place to walk dogs just across the road. Danton Lodge combines dog friendliness with an excellent level of cleanliness. Everything was good.
