- Chris (8/5): Great location and very clean - Cleanliness, location Bed, small kitchen, rear only entrance
- challacombe (7/5): - Peacefully clean
Good location and parking Basic
china a miss match curtains poor quality
- Kevin (9/5): - Superb location in Keswick with secure, off-road parking. Cottage was immaculately clean. Kitchen well equipped for a short stay. Very quiet & peaceful. Bathroom needs a bit of work.
- Cotterill (10/5): -
- Diane (10/5): Fantastic stay, will definitely stay again - Cosy and well equipped, stylish and comfortable, fabulous location
- Broughton-Hay (9/5): -
- emma (8/5): Good stay with Keswick centre on your door step - Overall a good stay. Great walking distance in to Keswick city centre, free parking. Had pretty much everything we needed for our stay. The price for 2 nights was really good for the location. The shower pressure was not the best. The main issue was the mattress, we both could feel the springs and was not a great night sleep unfortunately so would say this needs replaced.
- Susan (10/5): Great accommodation, short walk from town centre - Great location with parking. Had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again. There nothing we didn't like
- Anthony (10/5): An excellent property located just a short walk from Keswick town centre with good transport connections. - The property was situated just a short walk from the town centre. A very well presented property and very clean. The property has its own separate entrance and separate garden area which was very well kept. Parking was easy with own off road space which was excellent I can honestly say there was nothing I could fault
- Wright (9/5): Very enjoyable spot. Would visit Plum Cottage again - Reasonable length of walk of 10 - 15 mins on one level into the town centre. Bed comfortable. Garden area nice and would be lovely sitting out in the sun . Nice big wetroom. Handy toiletry and slipper packs. We didnt really need the TV but it didnt seem to have an aeriel. Managed to get Roku Stick channels though
- Sarah (7/5): Quiet accomodation with secure garden in great location. - Great location. Peace and quiet. Secure garden for doggie. Wifi. Would have been good if the outside furniture/cushions were clean and ready to use.
Minor upgrades needed inside: Bed and sofa way too soft. Rusty radiator in bathroom. Toilet seat old/worn. Oven/door not clean.
- Peter (9/5): Relaxing place - Great location,a lovely warm and clean cottage Nothing not to like a lovely stay
- Nicholas (8/5): - Perfect location, lovely cottage with a brilliant size garden. Was lovely and clean with everything you need. Only reason I've not scored full marks as the bed was shocking, the bed base is caved in and you can feel the springs in the mattress digging into you.
- steven (10/5): A relaxing and enjoyable stay in a lovely location — we would happily return. - The cottage was clean, comfortable, and well presented, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The location was excellent
- Linda (10/5): lovely comfortable cottage within walking distance of the town. - It was a comfortable one bedroom cottage, within a short walk into the town centre. it was very clean and tidy. The shower was great and the bed was comfortable. The private parking was a bonus. There are plenty of bars and restaurants in the town, with a variety of shops. The complimentary toiletries, tea, coffee etc were a nice touch. We will definitely be back and we will recommend this cottage to others. Overall everything was good however just a couple of points, I feel it needs a shelf or cabinet in the bathroom to put your things (although it is next to the bedroom, so not far to carry your items.) and a dish cloth would have been handy.
- Tracey (9/5): - Lovely cottage 10 mins from town with parking...sll the little touches were exceptional Nothing
- David (4/5): Had a good stay don’t think we would book again it’s the same with these rental charge you top price - In need of updating bathroom light needs a brighter light and the kitchen does as well and on arrival had to clean dog mess of the garden from previous clients that stayed carpet has stains and smells same with these rentals charge top prices for poor standard properties
- Carole (10/5): Comfy cosy stay - Lovely cosy cottage, very clean and nice touch with Christmas decorations. Comfy bed and would happily return. Nothing
- Frank (10/5): -
- Amanda (10/5): Getting over Xmas, 1st weekend break of the year!! - Usually I'm a solo traveller but I was dog sitting for my friend, so I was a little unsure about taking the dog with me, but when I got there, I knew I'd made the right decision. The garden is completely enclosed and the place was spotless and well looked after. Keswick is so dog friendly too. It was easy walking distance to the center, and even though it is behind another house it is very private. There was nothing, not to like!!
- Alwyn (10/5): Great cottage - A regular stayed for us when visiting Keswick, perfect cottage close to town Nothing
- Paul (10/5): -
- Nichola (10/5): -
- Alwyn (10/5): Perfect little cottage - We've stayed at Plum cottage several times as it's a lovely cottage close to the town centre with parking and a lovely enclosed garden. The cottage is always clean and well presented. We've already looking forward to staying there again in 3 weeks time
- Lisa (8/5): -
- Brian (8/5): We had a brilliant time in an excellent location staying in a very cosy clean cottage. Would stay there again - Clean and had all amenities. Fantastic location and quiet Lighting poor in bathroom
- Caroline (10/5): Great 3 night stay, hosts were great , excellent location, would definitely go back - Lovely cosy cottage, great location and really good outdoor space secure for the dogs. On site parking. Comfortable bed. Nothing
- karen (8/5): -
- Dorothy (8/5): Great little place - It was clean, comfortable and quiet. The complimentary toiletries, although we didn't need them, were a nice touch. I would have liked a full size wardrobe in the bedroom, and more shelves in the bathroom, or a bathroom cabinet.
- Teresa (10/5): -
- JEFFREY (8/5): Thoroughly enjoyed it, great transport links, didn't need the car. would like to come back. - Self catering holiday, comfortable and clean and cosy. everything provided. Bathroom, great shower in a wet-room experience.
could do with better lighting, and the provision of floor towel or mat, for exiting the shower. but on the whole it was easy to use.
- kevin (6/5): Disappointment, we have used Plum cottage before but things were not good this time - Great location and parking Bedding smelling foisty and lots of spiders and cooked onions in drainer
- angela (10/5): Cittage was perfect everything you need.perfect location - Excellent cottage
- Steven (10/5): Great little property - Clean, everything what we needed , perfect location and cannot wait to return.
- Jodie (10/5): - Most comfortable bed! Kitchen is tiny but we didnt need nuch space for 2 nights
- Karen (7/5): - Fabulous location brilliant dog friendly accommodation with key access near town centre loved keswick a bit dated decor but still enjoyed our holiday The bed was awful I think the owners put a piece of foam on the mattress for comfort but sorry to say every movement of my husband Turning during the the night was terrible none of us had a good sleep which was soon disappointing it added to feeling warm and uncomfortable
- Robyn (3/5): Very disappointing accommodation! - It was a 5 minute walk from town centre. The house decor was very dated and unattractive. The bed was uncomfortable and the polyester bed linen and towels were horrible.
- James (7/5): Perfect accommodation for our needs - It was close to Keswick Convention and good parking Nothing
- David (9/5): -
- Derrick (8/5): Pleasant stay,very clean, ideal location,nothing we didn't like. -
- Pamela (9/5): Small cottage with parking - Location in walking distance of town, but with easy parking The kitchen is small with just a two burner cooktop
- Colin (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (8/5): Lovely and relaxing - Location, secure garden for the dog, parking on site and more than enough space for the two of us and our dog. Just a suggestion only but blackout curtains for bedroom would be great in the summer
- Stephen (6/5): Pleasant -
- Susan (8/5): We had beautiful weather and the bungalow was perfectly located for out needs - Location was very good. The secured garden was excellent as we have a dog. The kitchen is very small. Nothing
- Julie (8/5): Very good -
- Georgia (8/5): Perfect for a little staycation, great location - Great location, lovely little garden, good facilities Very dated
- Michael (9/5): Lovely stay at Plum Cottage, we often visit Keswick and will book againwill book again. - Nice cottage, comfortable
Enclosed garden
Parking space Couldn't find out door parasol although parasol base was there.
- Bethany (8/5): Very good - Location close to town centre. Garden is lovely. Parking space. Struggled to find could maybe have better signage.
- Jason (5/5): Passable - location great with parking..lovely garden area. lack on information on heating/TV etc..noisy fans..exposed pipework..rough round the edges..poor sofas..needs some TLC
- Karen (10/5): Couple from wigan - The cottage was lovely and in a great location to the centre a 5 minute walk and 20 minutes to the lake. There was everything in the cottage that you could think of even an air fryer and the garden was ideal for our dog. I would definitely stay there again when in Keswick. There was nothing that we didn't like it was great.
- Rebecca (10/5): Excellent stay....again - This was the 2nd time I have stayed at this lovely cottage. It has everything you need. Great location. Good parking, nice secure garden for the dog, comfy bed.
- Halsall (8/5): Very good -
- Alwyn (10/5): Plum cottage - Stayed here several times now, it's ideally located in Keswick and it has everything we need for our stay. Already booked it again for Nov
- Nigel (7/5): Overall We had an enjoyable stay apart from weather. Made the mist of it - Great location and comfortable
Parking was a bonus The oven was not clean
Poor lighting in the kitchen and bathroom
Lack of cupboard space for food
- Andrew (9/5): Perfect for the two of us. - Quiet Leather sofa
- Daniel (8/5): Lovley little cottsge situated close to Keswick centre - Location to town centre Driveway entrance is quite narrow, beds a bit squishy
- Kate (7/5): Good - Great location, short walk to the centre of Keswick. Lovely garden, always great to find a place with an enclosed garden for the dogs and off road parking. Had most of the things we needed for a weekend away and great base for hiking. Needs a few things updated such as the bed. Also missing some essentials you shouldn’t have to buy yourself such as toilet roll, oil, salt & pepper
- Maggie (8/5): Cosy cottage with parking included and very handy for visiting Keswick - not easy to find; satnav takes you round in circles. The cottage is at the end of the drive of a house.
- Carole (8/5): Very enjoyable short break to Keswick - Walking distance into Keswick and to Derwent water, parking very good. Nice safe garden for our dog. Owner very helpful. Peaceful location with good views. Needs updating
- David (7/5): We enjoyed our stay - Great location. Comfortable It was fine
- Sandra (9/5): Superb -
- Sharon (8/5): Great little find - Very central, easy to find. Nice and quiet. Enclosed garden. Lovely views from the garden. Well equipped despite small size, comfy sofa and decent tv & wifi. Ideal for what we needed Think the cleaners forgot to replenish the loo roll as there was only one, but luckily garage across the road.
Think the mattress could do with being replaced as big dip on one side.
- David (10/5): Exceptional - It was a lovely presented cottage
- Pennington (6/5): Pleasant - The location was perfect and it was very quiet with mountain views and a good enclosed garden for the dog. The cottage was very old and basic with the world's softest uncomfortable mattress... could do with an upgrade 🤔.
- David (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely warm cottage in a great location with off road parking. Hopefully we will return soon
- Michael (5/5): Excellent location and accommodation let down badly by lack of hot water. - No hot water. Had to boil water for a wash. Cold shower only.
- Gilbert (9/5): All good from information about cottage and location to leaving. - Nothing
- Heather (8/5): Very good -
- Maureen (9/5): Superb - It was lovely that the owners had trimmed the bungalow for Christmas ... a very nice touch, thank you. They had also left wine, mince pies and a selection of drinks sachets, biscuits and a pint of milk 😀
On arrival, Vicky told me about a drumming show that was going on in Keswick that evening and I went and loved it, so thanks for the info.
There were plenty of good pans and pots and other equipment.
The bungalow is very well placed to visit the town or for walking. I couldn't find the leaflet for the boiler and it wasn't very warm (for me). I could have asked the owners but didn't like to, as it was Christmas and I could see that they had people visiting, so I shouldn't think that this would generally be a concern.
- Maurice (9/5): Very comfortable stay in an excellent property. -
- Stephen (8/5): Lovely little cottage. - We liked how clean the property was, shower was lovely and warm and the WiFi was superb. Perfect location with the view of skiddaw from the garden, only ever been in the winter but can imagine it being amazing in the summer to sit out in. Off street parking is a perfect touch too and all instructions left in the info pack were spot on. This is our second stay now The first time we stayed we noticed the bed was a little uncomfortable and did unfortunately notice this again second time round, other than that our stay was lovely.
We did notice the topper had been changed from the previous but unfortunately because its a bit soft could still feel the hard bed underneath
- Heather (10/5): excellent cottage for 2 - great little cottage in an excellent location. very clean and warm.
- Susan (7/5): Good -
- Alwyn (10/5): Perfect little cottage - This is the second time we have stayed at thisLovely little cottage and only 5min walk into Keswick town centre with the bonus of off road parking

- Margaret (10/5): Really enjoyed our stay at the cottage, would highly recommend it, close to the town centre, would stay again. - The cottage was lovely and cosy, really comfortable bed, nice garden with furniture and a fire pit, off road parking.
- Ben (10/5): Perfect - Perfect for dogs with nice garden and stunning view of skiddaw. Close to town and bonus poi rs for having a tap and hosepipe outside for dogs. So many places forget that dogs need washing so it was a nice touch. Nothing

The welcome packs were just beautiful and there was milk, tea, coffee and biscuits. We had lovely weather and managed to sit outside in the lovely well kept garden. The location was a 10 minute walk into Keswick and there is a parking space on the drive for 1 car. We would highly recommend and would definitely stay again. We are already looking at booking up for next year but for longer! Thank you 🧡 There was nothing not to like.
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Alwyn (10/5): Perfect little cottage - Perfect little cottage in the middle of Keswick with a lovely garden and private parking. We've already booked to stay there again in Nov Everything
- Phillip (9/5): Overall very pleased with very minor issues that were not a retraction from the overall quality of our stay. Would defin - Location to town and supermarket. Comfortable bed. Safe enclosed garden for our dog. Had to continually reset boiler for hot water and wifi very patchy
- Anthony (9/5): Lovely cottage. - Lovely cottage an easy walk from town. Comfortable inside and a nice outdoor space. Great to have a parking space too.
- Karen (8/5): Very good -
- Ann (7/5): Enjoyable stay, shame about the weather! - The location was good as was the on site parking. The secure garden was ideal for dogs. The entry side gate is difficult to open.
Some of the furnishings were very old such as the sofa, lounge cushions and kitchen towel.
There was no clock, salt & pepper or fruit bowl.
The Dyson vacuum cleaner should have been emptied before we arrived.
- Chris (8/5): The location is perfect, I would definitely book again. - Even though the cottage is looking a little tired in places, there is everything we needed and more importantly for us, the location was perfect. The cottage is looking a little tired in places. It wasn't the most comfortable mattress I've ever slept on. There was no DVD player, even though the listing specified one. The boiler needed resetting daily. All minor points, location is everything.
- Amanda (8/5): Plu cottage is in a great location for Keswick, comfortable house, lovely garden with mountain vie - Great location, good parking, lovely views and nice garden.
All as described Key safe was difficult to locate and stuck when trying to open it. A description of where key safe is and how to find it would have saved 15 to 20 mina when arriving at property. Would have been useful to have note about waking through garden to back of house and accessing through patio doors not front door you park nearby.
House little dated but perfectly serviceable and comfortable stay.
