• Hristo Z (9/5): Overall a lovely villa to enjoy, but minor repairs should be considered to make it exceptional - We booked the Superior Villa and were not disappointed. It is the last house on the top of the slope, so it felt very private and secluded and allowed us to enjoy the premises to the fullest extent. Getting your own house, complete with a big fireplace, for that kind of money is amazing. Breakfast was homemade. We requested it delivered to the villa and the staff was perfectly happy to deliver it. For some bizarre reason, we ended up being the only people in the complex during our stay. I found it odd, because the hotel opposite is more expensive and it was full, but we were more than happy with our villa in Safari Village Velingrad and we thought it an unexpected bonus to our stay. The fireplace is amazing and it is the one reason why we chose this place over others in the region. However, it is not coated and the water pipes run very close to it. If you light a big fire, it heats up the pipes and the water inside starts hissing and evaporating, with steam coming out the cupboard nearby. It felt unsafe, but then we realised it is just water so the worst could have been a burst pipe. We left it on and it was fine in the end. The second night, we just kept the fire a bit smaller and we had no issues, but it is definitely something that should be addressed and repaired if possible. Speaking of repairs, the shower pod leaks free, making the bathroom tricky to use after a shower. An easy fix would be a mop handy, but there was none.
• Hendrik (3/5): für den Preis absolut nicht zu empfehlen - nicht so viel. Die Lage und Aussicht ist gut Wasser läuft aus der veralteten Dusche. Das Bad ist nicht beheizbar und somit bei Temperaturen um die null Grad (Nachts) entsprechend sehr kalt. Ebenfalls das Schlafzimmet konnte nur mit Dauerbefeuerung aus der Klimaanlage aus dem Wohnraum etwas aufgewärmt werden. Ablagen im Badezimmer gab es nicht und die Wohnung wurde nicht einmal während des gesamten Aufenthaltes (5Tage) gereinigt. Fernbedienung für den Fernseher im Wohnzimmer gab es nicht und die abgewohnte Einrichtung war grenzwertig

• Bidders (8/5): Safari Village - Thankfully, we practically had the whole place to ourselves for the first two days, so booked an extra night. Glad we didn't stay any longer once the Bulgarian holidays had started, though! the pool was really warm. The food in the restaurant was good and 1 member of staff spoke really good English which was a huge help, particularly in trying to get the shower fixed. They allowed us to park our bike in the store room. You had to position yourself in the right place between the slats in the bed to sleep comfortably. Once others arrived for the Bulgarian holidays, it was not peaceful, and I can imagine once really busy, there would be no space in the pool. Horrible smell in bathroom. On the first night the credit card machine was broken and we were not informed until we came to pay-thankfully the girl who spoke English helped and we were able to pay the next day. It was quite expensive for what it was and we wouldn't have stayed the extra night had it not been empty.

• Gancho (2/5): Disappointing and overpriced. - The food and the villa was fine. The sauna was fine. The outside pool was absolutely filthy, full of green water and inactive. The property account on Booking states that there is an outside pool but with small letters in the additional information at the bottom it says the pool is inactive after November 5th. After complaining about the filthy pool the owner came to our villa and aggressively started a verbal fight with me and explicitly said he isn't coming to compensate or even apologise. Overall the reservation is really overpriced and I would never recommend it. The whole reason I booked this place was because of the outdoor thermal pool which I wouldn't get in even if you pay me. The residences across the street meanwhile had a crystal clear pool with hot water steaming through the day and night and our villa had a perfect view to both our filthy pool and the neighbouring clear pool. Also the Spa was very small, the indoor pool is more of a Jacuzzi which was overcrowded and I couldn't get to use it at all.

• Igor (5/5): Passable - The apartments are in a good location, and designed as traditional stone houses. The apartments are not serviced. We stayed four days and were not cleaned at all. We would not have a problem with that if it was announced in the room description. To change the towels, toilet paper, etc., you need to search the staff in the morning and ask them to give you a new set. The swimming pool is very small. The breakfast is poor, it is not buffed, but you have several fixed choices. Water and soft drinks are charged additionally, and only coffee and tea are part of the breakfast menu. The Wi-fi signal was very low in our room (in the restaurant, it is OK).

• Petia (10/5): Great Place, Great Management, Great Staff! - Our family liked the location, the view, the architecture and the design of the property. Very Bulgarian and rustic, very classy. The management is excellent. Caring, attentive, quick to resolve any minor issue (there were no major issues), very responsive and respectful. The staff is also amazing. Cleaning is done all the time all over the property and it is spotless. The cook is a Real Chef and anything we ordered was delicious, the kitchen serves fast and the serving staff is quick, professional, polite and very kind and helpful. We spent 13 days and will go again in July. Our family ranks them Excellent + Thank you for everything Staff of Safary Village! The electric outlets for plugging could be looked at because some are a bit shaky and not attached firmly to the wall. We only have experience in Villa #5 though.Great

The room was in stone and keeping a great temperature inside even during the summer heat. We were surprised by the swimming pool being hot - we did not know that - but it was pleasant in any case. Food and service delicious and at a fair price. Thank you, we will come again!
• Alexandar (8/5): You should treat it like AirBNB - great facilities and top location but zero service. Overpriced. - The place itself - the buildings, the location, the idea is top notch. Pool is very nice, with mineral water, and was clean. One can see that a ton of money was spent in to build the houses, and on some of the furniture. But the details are lacking. Its like, the money dried out - you get a gigantic bathroom, but the cheapest fittings!? The view and the location are nice - just outside town, perfect for small walks or bike trips, there is no noise or tourist traffic. Food in the restaurant was delicious. Pool is nice. Well. Gigantic bathroom, cheapest fittings. The boiler is all in your face. No place to leave your stuff (in a BIG room!) Shower cabin is of the smallest type, tucked in the corner. Drain was a bit smelly. Expensive furniture, but the smallest, cheapest TVs? Put in strange places, so that they are hard to see (esp the one in bedroom). Mini-fridge dirty and warm. Big kitchen, etc, but no utensils besides plates and forks. Should I bring pans from home, to make a breakfast? So yeah. It is strange. It was built good, but everything stopped there, with the building. Totally not worth the top-price they are asking for.

• Ralitsa (9/5): Amazing stay! - We went to the reception the moment we arrived, the woman there was very nice and lucky for us our room was already ready. She showed us around the hotel, told us about breakfast hours , then escorted us to the room. The rooms are exactly as they are in the pictures! Everything was neat and clean , pillows were a little uncomfortable, but there was a second (different) set in the cabinet ! The pool is a little small, but the fact that you can go there no matter the time kind of compensates for the size, night swims are amazing. The breakfast is in the restaurant next to the hotel, you get a menu and have to choose from 5/ 6 different foods, and the food is amazing ,everyone there was also very nice and kind ( the prices are also pretty good ) . Overall, we really enjoyed our stay,definitely will visit again ,and definitely recommend! I think the only thing i found a little annoying was the pipe noise that came from time to time .
• Toni-teodora (4/5): Never Again! Not as advertised! - That we only booked one night! Will not have stayed longer and will NOT visit again! Not as advertised! So many positive reviews and nice looking photos - the reality is quite different and disappointing. Starting with the staff who were inattentive and at times even somewhat rude - we had to look for the receptionist both at check in and out because she was not there and we had to go back and forth in the heat because of her, also the person working in the restaurant was snappy when asked simple questions like 'can we have a menu, please?'. The room was also absolutely not okay - much smaller than expected, dark - wouldn't be able to read a book in it even during the day with all lights on, stuffy - no space or air to breathe, and kind of run down when you look at details - spider webs on the lights for example, musty bathroom etc. Also there was no air conditioning or even a fan - it was +30° during the day and practically unbearable at night even with the window open, and there's no mini fridge to put cold water in. Probably because apart from the lack of space there was also only ONE electric socket available in the room (provided the night light was unplugged)(and one in the bathroom) which is quite inconvenient. The pool was not very clean either - bugs in the water, and some yellowing on the tiles around the edge. The jacuzzi wasn't working. There weren't enough lounge chairs or umbrellas for all guests and it was not much of a relaxing place all in all. Finally, the breakfast - you get a choice of 5 things and can opt for coffee or tea - no water, no fresh fruit or anything particularly healthy/filling. The portions were lacking and while what my partner had (2 pieces of toasted bread with minced meat and cheese) at least looked and tasted okay, my "continental" breakfast came with soggy lukewarm bread (which I had to ask to be changed & actually toasted as advertised in the menu) and some cold, ham-like product that was covered in the sticky film old meat has.

Sheet’s and towels are old and dirty, and everything looks dirty. The pool was OK but the jacuzzi wasn’t working. The food was bad, only the staff was very nice.
