• Shan (8/5): It's a local apartment for short-term rental, not a western-style hotel, so mind your expectations. - Conveniently located in D1 with easy access to shopping and other activities. If you're into the night-life it's about a 3-4 minute walk to the Bùi Viện walking street, but is otherwise in a fairly quiet corner of its own. Can't hear any road-noises or such from the apartment itself. On-site facilities provided (eg for washing and cooking) were more than adequate for 2 people, but a larger family might run out of dinner-ware or spend a lot of time doing laundry. If you run laundry at the same time as the shower, you'll trip the breakers. Not a big deal but can be a little bit frustrating. Front gate makes a horrible screech when opening or closing which mostly makes me feel bad for the neighbors that have to hear it anytime someone enters/exits. If you have difficulty with stairs then this is probably not the place for you however, as the only way to the apartment is up a flight of stairs. Actually there are two stairwells to choose from depending on which street you enter, with one stairwell being much narrower than the other but the point stands as there is no elevator or alternate entrance without stairs. This isn't against the apartment itself; but just for information.
• Koji (4/5): Difficult for foreigners - Location is good Apartment is very local and old. I think it is a bit difficult quality for foreigners. Room is entrance + living area＋bedroom + bathroom. It is not normal 2bed rooms. There’s one mattress in the living room and can be used for sleeping place. Bathtub is unique, it is in the bedroom. No elevator to the room. Always dog comes and bows at the entrance Kitchen/living area has window but visible from outside so no privacy. Bedroom has no window. Overall, very surprising room. Booked 3 nights but canceled after 1 night. Refund for 1 night.
