Guest Reviews
- David (10/5): Our stay was absolutely perfect, a beautiful apartment in the heart of Rome with the kindest hosts - We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Madeline & Barbara’s apartment in Rome. From the very beginning, the hosts went above and beyond in every possible way.
Before our trip, I wanted to make a reservation at a local restaurant that only accepted phone bookings with an Italian number. Since I couldn’t call from abroad, I asked if they could help. They tried calling several times with no answer, and then, to my surprise, they actually went to the restaurant in person to try to book a table for us. That level of kindness and effort is truly exceptional.
The apartment itself is stunning, spacious, beautifully designed, and full of character. It feels like living in a historic Roman home, with gorgeous arches, a loft layout, and elegant details. The space is cleverly divided and feels much larger than expected. There’s a cozy living room, a well-equipped kitchen, a TV in front of the bed, and everything you might need for a comfortable stay. Honestly, we could imagine ourselves living there, not just vacationing.
The location is perfect, about a 15-minute walk to almost everything: restaurants, bars, attractions, and lively streets. The hosts also provided us with thoughtful recommendations for wine bars, cheese shops, and great places to eat, which made our experience even more special.
We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The apartment is beautiful, and Madeline & Barbara are truly exceptional hosts. Highly, highly recommended!
- JoRocket (10/5): Absolutely beautiful! - A fantastic location in a really cute apartment - close to many of Rome's main attractions: Vatican City, Piazza Navona (Bernini's fountain), Pantheon, Spanish Steps plus the great nightlife in Trastevere is also nearby. Great communications, too from really friendly hosts. Nothing - I'd stat here again without hesitation.

- Lindsey (9/5): very enjoyable stay in a lovely and comfortable apartment in a fabulous location - Lovely, quiet and well equipped apartment in a fabulous location amongst the little cobbled streets and close to everything. The hosts provided good and helpful communication regarding accessing the apartment and advice on transport from the airport The apartment was lovely and we had a very comfortable stay with no complaints. Minor suggestions would be to provide tea towel and washing up liquid, although we didn't eat in so wasn't a problem for us, and maybe to replace the pillows as they were a little bit lumpy
- Guest (10/5): - Lage, Einrichtung, ALLES. Ein zusätzlicher Schlüssel wären hilfreich
- Barnea (9/5): -
- Anthony (10/5): Perfect property for a family of four, great location, facilities and hosts! - Brilliant location, within walking distance of all major sites of interest. Beautiful property, spacious, clean and expertly designed with lovely decor. Efficient AC, great shower, ice cold fridge and lovely hosts! Nothing!
Viel Stauraum. Ventilator war vorhanden. Alles da was man braucht.
- Emma (10/5): Perfect location, lovely clean apartment. - Couldn’t wish for a more perfect base for exploring Rome, the property is within walking to everywhere. Lots of restaurants and bars within 5 minute walk of the property. The rooms was clean and exactly as described and in the photos. Combination was excellent and it was super simple and straightforward to get into the property. Thanks for a great stay.
- Sidonija (8/5): Very good - The place is good size and a great location. The hosts are lovely. The little kitchen has all you need. The property needs much better cleaning. The sheets were not clean (I must say once we contacted the host, new sheets for one bed were brought back and the other one just shaken off). Also the utensils were poorly washed, a lot of cobwebs.
- Juan (10/5): Excellenese!! - Excellent location! Near beautiful places
- Bridget (9/5): Superb - Loved our stay in the apartment in Rome. In a great neighborhood close enough to everything, but still had a quieter neighborhood feel. Very close to some amazing restaurants. Multiple bus stops in short walking distance. First floor entrance was a huge help after many days of traveling with suitcases. Would absolutely stay here again. n/a
- Nicole (10/5): Great location and lovely little apartment - The location is amazing, there is a square just a few steps away with a market and restaurants . It’s quiet and cute!
The hosts communication was fabulous , I felt very unsure about booking an apartment instead of a hotel but it was absolutely the right choice!
- Ojeda (10/5): Where to stay close to Piazza Navona - The location is perfect. It is close to the main tourist attractions. The hosts are wonderful, very kind and friendly. The communication was easy and the instructions to get in clear. The place is clean and it has everything what you need for your stay. super highly recommended 👍💯
- Yujia (9/5): Beautiful flat, only three or four steps from ground so very accessible for people with large luggage. - Very comfortable and clean. Pretty and nice. There was no quilt but only blankets. It was a bit chill at night but overall okey. Besides that I would like it if there were a washing machine but that’s only a suggestion.
- Michael (9/5): Great location comfortable beds great communication with the renter - Location
Spacious Only one small window
- Konstantinos (10/5): Exceptional - - perfect location
- comfortable apartment
- great support by Claudia -
- Audra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tom (10/5): Fantastic place in a the perfect location - Amazing place located in the heart of Rome: everything is walking distance. The apartment is very stylish, we loved being there… it was exactly the type of place we wanted to stay in with a cool street door on a narrow, cobbled street. We are a family of 4 and the apartment was spacious and had everything we could need. Our hosts were always great with their communication and very helpful. When we come back to Rome we will definitely be booking Farnese Muse again… it is perfect!
- Lauren (10/5): Exceptional -
- Debora (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful location, beautiful comfortable facilities Everything worked well with the host. We got clear instructions for both the check in and for leaving the apartment. Everything went perfectly and Rome is of course wonderful.
- Christian (10/5): Exceptional - Everything excellent.
- Michael (8/5): Very good -
- Debbie (10/5): Wonderful apartment perfectly located for all that Rome has to offer- an absolute gem of a place - Beautiful apartment in a perfect location- can walk everywhere. Kitchen was extremely well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. Very quiet location and yet so close to lovely restaurants and a bustling piazza Absolutely nothing- it was perfect
- Carmen (8/5): great location, comfortable apartment and a very nice stay - This is a very nice and comfortable apartment on a quite central location. It is very well located but on a quiet street, so you can get the busy and nice atmosphere of Campo di Fiori nearby, but also the calmness of a less traveled street. Beds are quite good to rest and, in general terms, the apartment is quite well equipped so you will not miss almost anything. This applies especially to the kitchen, since you can cook good meals there without much problem. It was three of us in the reservation, but when we arrived only one bed and towels for two were prepared. It took us one extra day to get more towels and bed sheets, so the first two nights were a bit uncomfortable, but Barbara did what she could to meet our needs the earliest possible. She was also very nice and easy to communicate with.
One thing we struggled with (not only in this apartment, but in Rome in general): mosquitoes! Keep this in mind, especially in the summer, and bring your insect repellent with you!
- Craig (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susie (10/5): Exceptional - Great location and found it very comfortable. Lovely owners - very kind and helpful.
- Tom (10/5): Exceptional -
- Norma (10/5): Great location, comfortable apartment ideal for a taste of Rome - Location was more than great, near everything in the centre but on a quite street. Attention to detail. Everything one will need for a short/mid long stay. Well organised and very reactive and helpful landlord. If I have to find something the bed and pillows were not the best, but I am over 50 and used to my comfort, so not so much a reference. For a few days it was doable. Still give a very high rating because it is an excellent value for money for Rome and the area. As well not so much day light, considering we spend the day out and about, it was not a must have and the rest largely compensates.
- Svein (9/5): Very good. Recommended. - The room was spacious, airy and comfortable, the location excellent, and the area in fact very quiet. Perfect for a couple. The apartment is rather dark, so a bit more daylight would have been fine. The air-condition /heating system is very good, but a written explanation would have been appreciated.
- Jana (10/5): Pleasant stay in the heart of Rome - Excellent location in walking distance to all major sights in Rome, but quiet at the same time. Apartment was sufficiently big for a family of four, with all necessary equipment and tastefully decorated. The owners are extremely pleasant and welcoming, always available to help and give useful advice. All was perfect for our family. For complete information just to note that there is very little natural light (only one small window), but that was not an issue for us at all, as we were on the streets during the day. And the lights/lamps in the apartment are abundant and create cozy atmosphere.
- Elliot (10/5): My favourite stay on Booking - Perfect location being in a nice, quiet residential area but only a 15 min walk to the main sights like Trevi, Pantheon etc… The apartment is very well equipped with everything you need. Lovely hosts who were very welcoming and responsive. I would definitely stay again! Nothing - it was perfect.
- Oleh (10/5): Feel like a Roman in the eternal city - it is an amazing place! The loaction is perfect! You can reach all the main sights by feet. Also the gastro area (Trastevere) just in 10-15min by feet. But you don't need it probably as a LOT of amazaing places just near the flat. Perfect market in 150meters where you can buy veges, fruits, meat and all the rest Italian delicious. I'm delighted with Rome and definitely want to visit again. And of course, I would try to book this flat once again. The owner were very kind and helpful. I definitely recommend this place to stay for at least a few days. If you want to live in Rome and feel like a Roman, you have to book and live here. The interior is amazing and authentic, me, my wife and daughter love it. To be honest I would need to put something here about I don;t like there. But I don't have anything to put :) . We won;t be able to use heater in bath but maybe it is just because we couldnt understand how to use it ))) All is good!
