Guest Reviews
- Binod (8/5): Overall it was good but could have been great if the smell wasn’t there. - Best view and location. Our property had some kind of bad smell.
- Charleene (10/5): -
- Paula (9/5): Would definitely come back - The location and the view was amazing . Very spacious yet cosy Would have liked hot tub like everyone else seemed to have
- Eileen (9/5): Very nice we will be back - Very spacious Laminate on kitchen cupboards could do with replacing., the bathroom floor is not good
- Rob (5/5): Needs some pre season maintenance - The location was great with sound of nature The hot tub was half broken and not all jets work
After only just opening back up for the season the windows were dirty the frying pan had food on it there was a water bottle under the chair
Pretty poor standards for a park that had been closed for winter
Not really a lot of entertainment for the evening
The bar is closed at 9pm and the pool table is 10 pounds for an hour meaning if anyone wanted to play they had to wait hours
- Jane (10/5): -
- Claire (9/5): - The space it was clean and parking outside the unit Fact picture had a hot tub on advert but non at unit so false advertisement especially when I put in booking needed hot tub and booking.com began messaging back then stopped after saying they look into it and didn't so poor service from booking.com
- Priyadarshini (7/5): It was a pleasant stay. Could improve on services. - The location & the amenities (hot tub) Main bedroom heater didn’t work, we reported, but no fix.
- Ian (10/5): Nice, peaceful, relaxing and friendly -
- Jaspreet (10/5): -
- Luke (10/5): -
- Aleena (5/5): - Cosy clean lodge Nd hot tub The electricity went out for over 3 hours.
With kids it wasnt ok to be without electricity in the lodge. Ruined most of our trip
- Alan (10/5): Excelent - Everything Nothing
- Charlotte (4/5): Location amazing but the lodges are very tired and grubby. They need a deep clean and lick of paint - The lodges are not clean and very tired
- Reza (8/5): -
- Suzanne (6/5): The lodges are ok - Beach
Sofas were comfy !!
Great shower !
Spending time with my grandchildren Leak in hot tub 😩
Constantly having to attend to hottub
No clubhouse facilities
- Tim (8/5): Loved the location and the chalet was great. Staff-friendly and very helpful. Will return again. - we didn't have breakfast. Location was lovely but the public highway leading t the site is in quite poor condition. Main access road, but that's a public highway in fairness. Check out was a bit early-11am would have been better.
- Ana (8/5): Very good -
- James (9/5): Great location for sea view. - Location overlooking the Solent gave amazing views. At check-in issue with Lodge, explained and compensation and alternative lodge offered without hesitation. Some of the furniture is a little tired, but still comfortable.
- Mark (9/5): Superb -
- Tony (8/5): Very good - Excellent location, good facilities and great accommodation
- Urbanska (10/5): Exceptional - Clean, cosy, modern with a good hot tub and beautiful view from our balcony.
- Hayley (4/5): Disappointing - The location was great. It was nice to have sea views. The lodge hadn't been cleaned. It was dusty and also tatty. Sofa was filthy, food stains on the dining room sea pads. Hot tub lid was ripped in places. I could go on!!
I contacted booking.com, who advised me to speak to the reception team. I had already spoken to the cleaning team, who came in and clean finger prints off of the dishwasher and cooker splash back and then left.
I also contact darwin escapes who have yet to come back to me.
I have uploaded only a few photos
- Lynn (7/5): Good - Beautiful location close to beach which was lovely. very comfortable beds. nice hot tum to relax in the evening's. Only let down was finding under sofa cushions food wrappings and dirt. Also, down the side of one of the beds was loads of sweet wrappers and dirt, which was not good. Also, food stains on table top. So cleaner really do need to sort these things out before people stay.

A Wonderful Stay at Holiday House!
Our experience at Holiday House was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the warm and attentive staff, who took care of everything seamlessly. The location itself is breathtaking, offering a perfect blend of comfort and serenity.
The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant stay, making sure every detail was taken care of. Their hospitality and professionalism truly made a difference, and we felt well taken care of throughout our visit.
I sincerely appreciate the exceptional service and hospitality. Holiday House is a perfect getaway, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable experience.
Thank you again for making our stay so special!

- Alan (10/5): Very relaxing and enjoyable stay in a lovely location with a limited sea view. - My wife and I were self catering. Our accommodation met and exceeded expectations, it was clean, well furnished in all rooms and with all kitchen and cooking facilities provided. We were informed a few days prior to the holiday that the Hot Tub was out of action, but considering the weather, that wasn't too much of an inconvenience. The resort has offered a refund of that part of the cost which I have yet to receive.
- Delimoo (8/5): Sea view - The setting of the cabin was perfect. Nestled in the trees and a short walk to the beach.
Comfortable beds with nice linen.
Nice touches such as tea, coffe, washing up liquid, and toiletries made it feel welcoming. Bathroom and kitchen floors could of been cleaner.
Hot tub needed some attention, several jets weren't working.
Road to site was poorly maintained.
- Kirsty (10/5): Perfect - It was beautiful. Fantastic location, lovely Lodge, the beds were sooo comfortable, quiet, relaxing location, lovely staff. Will definitely return.
- Jonathan (9/5): Expecting disappointment due to reading some of the reviews in advance but I had no need to worry. - Excellent location with good access to the beach and Isle of Wight attractions. A very peaceful site, with stunning views. A well furnished lodge with all the basic things needed for self catering. Waste and recycling information not clear with only one general waste bin provided. Access roads very bumpy. Car parking would have been an issue if there was more than one car.
- Sarah (10/5): Beautiful accommodation with a brilliant hot tub. - Lovely location really easy to get to from the ferry. We went to the Isle of Wight Festival while staying and it was a brilliant location to easily travel to the festival.
- Claire (10/5): Exceptional - Lodge was clean, had everything you needed. Great location set in the forest and short walk to costal walk.
- Mears (10/5): Family stay in double bedroom lodge with hot tub - Nice quiet location on coastal side, plenty of sockets around lodge that's very good 👍, the staff at reception and bar excellent and the maintenance staff were very helpful 👍 WiFi was poor when you needed it most.need more cupboard space for food as most cupboards had things in them.
- Simon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Annette (10/5): Exceptional -
- Debra (8/5): Lovely lodge stay. - The coastal retreat is a lovely quiet wooded area near the water. In a good location for getting around the island. The lodge was well equipped and clean. Plenty of hot water and towels. There are several takeaways and a Tesco express at the end of the lane.
We liked having the dvd player as the Wi-Fi wasn’t good enough to stream anything. It would be good to promote that more beforehand so that people bring a dvd or 2 with them. I found the beds uncomfortable they were very noisy and squeaky. The blind in the master bedroom was completely useless at keeping out the morning light so we woke very early.
Some scissors in the kitchen would be handy.
Wi-Fi was poor.
- Bill (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Ashleigh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Raymond (9/5): Slept well, loved the hot tub and really enjoyed the stay. - The location is great Shop could have stocked a few more items
- Peter (6/5): Lovely location and people, but not everything up to scratch - Coastal views, decently sized cabin with cute decorations and kitchen with a decent amount of crockery/cutlery (etc.). 2 toilets, 2 TVs, friendly staff when checking in and out. The master bedroom ensuite smelt horribly like sewage and we paid an amount equivalent to a premium room with a hot tub but received one without it
- Peace (10/5): Exceptional - Great location to get a way to. Lovely and quiet if you're looking to get away from the city and do as little as possible. A real home to home atmosphere and very cosy. Easy access to the beach if you want to go for a stroll. The facilities were just perfect. Shops are relatively easy to get to if you have a car and the area is well served by buses. The distance from the retreat to the main road to catch a bus is quite long, especially if you need to do a bit of shopping. The road leading to the retreat is dark (we went in Feb) with no streat lighting. The road is also quite narrow with very little pedestrian lane.
- Andrew (10/5): Amazing get away, great views, spacious and clean. - Spacious, clean, great for kids! Lovely views! Nothing
- Riyas (7/5): Good -
- Mohamed (10/5): Very nice and clean place but they should also include some every day essentials like I mentioned above. - Very Good location. Very nice accommodation. There was NO vacuum cleaner, ironing board and iron.
- Shivang (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sunand (10/5): Exceptional - Had a wonderful time with family. Great location and good facilities as well. The children loved the hot tub/jacuzzi! Food options could be better. No eat-in, just room service when we visited.
