Guest Reviews
- josephine (10/5): Nice but would not return because of the price - Great location Every day people, lots and lots of people stopped outside and stared into the bungalow.
- Stuart (10/5): -
- Victoria (10/5): Fantastic location, the view from the kitchen/lounge is just breathe taking. Very clean. - This bungalow is all about the location!!. It's an amazing place right on the beach front and we love it there. it's right between the old and new town, but very quite in an evening yet everything you need is in walking distance. The property has undergone a full refurbishment. This added to the overall ambience, as a trending, swanky place. It's a wonderful place and we will hopefully return!! the cleaning staff were brilliant and the accommodation was immaculate throughout.. Fab place and we will be back!! They just need to give a little move thought to adding some items that could improve things even more. There's no bedside table to put things on or in and no side lamps for reading just the main room light. there was only 4 hangers in one of the rooms to hang any clothes, which just isn't enough. as I said these are small things that can easily be added. There's also no microwave in the kitchen, but this wasn't a problem for us as we mainly eat out. It's just a shame it's been redesigned and that hadn't been considered as everything else was provided including a washing machine!! although there was actually nowhere to hang your clothes to dry if you did use it.
You are also very much on show with the big bed in the front garden and everyone looks, stops and takes pictures of the name plaque, as they are such lovely bungalows. I did feel less on show when we had normal sun loungers to hide below the wall a little in previous years.
- James (10/5): - Location None
- Paul (6/5): Great location for the beach but could be so much better - Great location if you don’t mind a constant stream of people taking pictures and peering at the property. The maid was excellent and very thorough. The hot water lasts for under 10 minutes. The TV doesn’t have any UK Chanel’s. You have to walk 5 to 10 minutes to the hotel to check in.
- Tracy (6/5): - Very comfy clean and lovely location Renovation in other villas next door
To much dusty and loud banging and grinder being used feel in should not be rented with these works going on
- Naismith (9/5): - Area and location good. Picking up keys from hotel wasnt good as noone knew where it was
- Ana (8/5): - Ubicación
- Liz (8/5): - I loved the location, looking out at Playa Chica. I was really pleased that it was cleaned every second day and we got new towels and sheets. It was great to have air con in the living room.
- Jezabel (6/5): - La ubicación Apartamento con muchos años y sin ninguna remodelación. Olía bastante a humedad y las camas bastante incomodas
- George (8/5): Ruined holiday - Location, that's about it I feel this apartment should not have been let because of the building work directly adjacent to this property. Although the owners said there might be occasional noise, this was not the case, the noise was relentless from 8.30am to 8pm every day, even Saturday and Sunday from power driven tools and even jack hammers, as for the facilities, it was more like a Hostel with basic furniture, plastic covered settee and broken chairs, I even had to ask for an electric kettle.
All this for 140 euros a day, which the owners said was a discounted rate because of the occasional noise, I feel that I was misinformed about the building work issues and will be making an official complaint to booking.com
- Stephen (1/5): - Nothing Everything we was their less than a hour before leaving as door was hard to open and lock and could be unlocked by pushing the key from outside floor was filthy toilets uncleaned wouldn’t recommend staying here to anybody
- Lucía (10/5): -
- Patrick (7/5): Good - Location was amazing
- Grainne (7/5): The location is excellent so close to the lovely beach and also to nice restaurants. - The accommodation was cleaned on a regular basis and towels replaced. No washing machine, hairdryer and only two sun loungers for four adults. Additionaly the towels were very worn need new ones.
- Victoria (10/5): Excellent.. Can't wait to return - The location of the property is excellent. Right on the beach between the old & new town. Very quiet in an evening but everything in easy walking distance.
Seperate bedrooms and two bathrooms. It was also immaculate clean throughout. The accommodation is a bit basic and in need of an update, but it had everything we needed to enjoy our stay and offered value for money based on this.
- Florence (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mike (3/5): Too expensive for what you get. - Location. Having stayed quite a few times before it really is a lovely location, just across from Playa Chica. You hear there waves and can have a dip early on, often will very few people around. The price has gone up considerably and I couldn't see an option for only 2 people so worked out expensive. Bearing this in mind, they really need to raise their game in terms of facilities and comfort. No Toiletries, towels of very poor quality, inadequate plumbing with old fixtures. Not enough space or appliances in the very small kitchen. No kettle, tired decor and we never had any cleaning . We were offered cleaning on all the days we didn't need it and not on the day we could have used it. I.E. on the day after we arrived and the day before we left. This appt is simply not worth the money now.
- Linda (10/5): Just a couple of steps away from the beach. - Fabulous location for a beach holiday. Everything you could need and spotlessly clean.
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- Anthony (4/5): Great location, tired interior, not cosy at all. Glad we only stayed 2 nights - The location was fabulous Very basic it was like a hostel, very tired inside, bedding was damp not cosy at all.
Our clothes were damp after being there. Showers took 10 mins before hot water came through. They could be made beautiful for not a lot of money.
- Mari (10/5): Excellent - N/A
- Susan (6/5): Excellent holiday as always - Location Facilities outdated and in bad repair
- Angela (7/5): Good - Location is great. Getting the key from hotel Volcan and dragging the cases to the villa. British TV would be a bonus even if there was a news channel
- Mirna (6/5): Pleasant - The location is perfect right on the nicest little beach in Puerto del Carmen. You can’t beat it! It’s a bit rundown and could use a good refurbishment to make it worth the money. You pay to be on the beach I guess.
- Mary (8/5): Lovely villa just a shame about the ants - Good location, plenty of space and good patio with sun loungers There were small ants in the kitchen area
- Marie (7/5): Good - The location was brillant as I stayed here several times There was an issue with a cot for baby didn't get it until our second day so one of us had to sleep on the couch and there was no washing machine as advertised
- Withero (10/5): Exceptional -
- Orlaith (8/5): Overall happy - Location and mattress excellent The villa next door was under construction. We were not informed about this pre booking … the first 2 days we had work men scrapping paint off walls…..a slow tedious noisy job also invading our private space…. I understand refurb works must be carried out but not without open disclosure !
- Dawn (1/5): Worst accomodation I’ve stayed in - ‘Best street worst house’
Whilst the location of no 25 ( Villa Blanca 4) is beautiful, this is the worst accomodation I have ever stayed in whilst travelling.
You open the door to a drab, tired sub standard apartment with chipped cupboards and doors, leaks and broken equipment. The kitchen has 2 cupboards, one for pans and one for crockery. There is no storage space for food. The equipment consisted of a couple of pans, 2 very blunt knives and 3 ladles. The freezer didn’t work. There are 2 bathrooms, in one the shower screen leaked so every time you had a shower water flowed all over the floor. It had no exhaust and only an internal window opening into the living space. With a smelly toilet, the living space was filled with obnoxious smells. In the other bathroom, despite there being the option of a bath the tap to covert from shower to bath was rusted shut.
The main bedroom had a blind with so many moth holes in it, itwould have worked as a sieve. The safe was broken and the wifi was so unstable it was impossible to use.
What makes this worst is that the apartment next door no 24, Villa Sontrobat handled by a different agent was beautifully appointed with a fully functional kitchen. Yet the day rate is the same 138 euros/ day for both.
When I went to Aparthotel Costa Volcano who manage all 4 Villa Blancas to talk about all the broken items and the general level of accomodation, I met with Hannah, the manager of the hotel. As I went through the list she kept interrupting me with unhelpful comments. She was rude and unhelpful, ( she suggested I put the pans and crockery on the floor to create storage space for the food!). She was also uninformed about the property as she stated there was no wifi supplied despite there being a sign on the door with the wifi network name and password. It is important to note that after this ‘discussion’ with Hannah, someone was sent to fix one of the showers and deliver new knives which was appreciated but the bare minimum.
- Trevor (9/5): Superb - great beach front location There was no hair dryer on the premises and the key for the security box was pricey
- Sinead (9/5): Superb - Interior is dated but spotless and fabulous location. Highly recommended
- Bernie (8/5): Very good - Location was really fabulous. Quite area at night. Had to get used to the envious glances from passing tourists. Nothing major. Perhaps more English language TV channels.
- George (8/5): Perfect location at Playa Chica - Location perfect, 10mts from beach, apartment clean and everything you need for a short stay. Apartment needs an update ensuit shower was hopeless showers over an old bath is not really on for the premium price your paying, we're not on holiday to watch television however a few English speaking channels for news/ entertainment would have been good, there were none.
We had a good stay at the apartment, all it needs is bathrooms updated and a bit of TLC to make it an unforgettable holiday.
- Graham (9/5): Superb - Location was fantastic, right on the beach. Comfortable bed two bathrooms full size fridge and freezer full cooker/oven. And the little shower head in the front garden to wash the sand off before going into the villa was great Bins were not emptied regularly enough
- Tony (8/5): Very good - The location. The apartment was in need of an upgrade.
Very Basic.
- Ann (9/5): Superb -
- Christina (6/5): Loved the location - Location at Chica beach was lovely Property could do with an upgrade, no basic toiletries
- Dan (9/5): Superb - Perfect location , right on the beach with sea view. Very good for family woth kids or for 2 couples.
2 bedroom and 2 bathroom.
- Irene (10/5): Everything - Location was perfect and the beach across the road was like your own private beach Nothing
- Claire (8/5): Very good -
- Lynda (7/5): We were there for a very short stay, it did what we needed it for. - Location excellent right on the beach Couch was terrible leather in that heat not comfortable at all steps up to both bedrooms
- Angela (5/5): Overpriced. - Location Leaking toilet. No ventilation in second bedroom. No balcony privacy.
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb location. Will come again. - Location, space, cleanliness. Use of pool and hotel facilities. Air con in one room only. Difficult to get a fan.
Availability of a walk in shower for those with mobility difficulties would be good -especially as there are 2 bathrooms. Could have done with more storage in kitchen, more cutlery and maybe a fish slice among cooking utensils. Hairdryer would be good. A clothes horse or line to put outside would be good. There’s a shower room available in the hotel for guests checking out but maybe another would be good. None of the above points detracted from our enjoyment of the stay.
- Julie (8/5): Very good - That it was on the beach. No iron. And couldn't get a late checkout. Had to be out by 10 am And flight was 11.45 pm. So basically walking the streets in 34 degrees for 11 hours. Also a little disappointed that quite far from main bars on the strip.
- Angela (8/5): Great location and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday - Our stay would have been better if we had one British channel on TV.
It would have been better if someone had met us at the property with the key or left in a safe place. Being pensioners-it was difficult getting our case from hotel to the property.
- Tracy (10/5): Perfect location for a relaxed stay - The location was fabulous just steps from Playa Chica The interior could do with updating but the location more than makes up for that.
- John (8/5): Fab - Nice and quiet Nothing at all
It was beautiful.
- Tom (8/5): Very good -
- Mercy (8/5): Great location, super for families with kids or Divers - Location, Location , Location Maybe a few extra towels - or towe change
- Douglas (8/5): Very good - The location was excellent Ants in the kitchen
- Tony (4/5): We go for beachfront location. But accommodation too basic. Could do with good makeover. - Very basic. No hairdryer. Weather not great, very cold in apartment, no heating. Unacceptable at this time of year when weather unreliable. Shower just about functional. No toiletries supplied. Basic basic basic.
- Sarah (8/5): Very good - Everything was great just the bathrooms could do with a bit of refurbishing.
- Melanie (10/5): Exceptional - Location above all, and it was well equipped with washing machine, full oven, 4 ring hob and a good fridge freezer. It also has aircon though we didn't need that. And when the coffee pot went wrong, it was immediately replaced. Minor gripe, no hairdryer
- Eleni (3/5): Poor - location is great, right at the beach Requires a lot of maintenance. Loads of mould in the bathroom, property is not cared for which is a big big shame taking into consideration it’s location. Poor shower pressure, property not cleaned, broken toilet sit, hole in the bath, ants and hair everywhere.
plus, if you decide to pay in pounds, you will pay more than what is advertised online.
- Niamh (10/5): Amazing Location - The location was perfect, right in front of Playa Chica. The bungalow was spacious and clean, and the beds were comfortable. There were lots of tiny ants/bugs in the kitchen. We couldn't leave any food out. The wifi didn't work.
- Anthony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Patrick (6/5): Pleasant - Facilets a bit dated and kitchen very bacic scarce in utincels
- John (8/5): Lovely short and relaxing three day break, would fully recommend the villa and the hotel - Location great 20 yards to the beach, two sunbeds in the garden to lay on bar by the beach, strip was five minute walk, hotel to collect keys two minutes walk very helpful staff and you can use all of the hotel facilities if you wish
