• Lorna (1/5): Hostal closed!! - The place was closed and shuttered when I arrived. When I tried to phone there was only an answerphone. I had to find alternative accomodation at short notice (5pm in the afternoon) as I had a flight booked early the next morning.

The towels were smelling bad, mold in the bathroom, no hairdryer. Upon arrival, we’ve been told that we can not stay for 3 Nights as we booked, only for 2 nights. So they left us without any accommodation for one night, and without any further notice, zero massage that they will be closed for specific day.

Staff seemed confused about rooms and rates. The toilet waste pipe from the upstairs floor went along the wall of my room (boxed in and tiled) so every time someone upstairs flushed the shared toilet for the floor I woke up.

The room is clean, comfortable, but it is on the 4th floor, and there is no elevator. I had a heavy suitcase, but the employee helped me carry it. I liked everything, the price matches the quality. There is no elevator, it is difficult to go up to the 4th floor even without luggage. It will be very uncomfortable for elderly people or those with health problems and should choose the first or second floor for living.

Super central, a short walk from the beach, literally behind the boardwalk, right by all the cafes and old town. This did mean there was a fair amount of street noise but that's to be expected. Good value for money. We switched to a room with private bathroom with no bother. A bit dated building but you get what you pay for. We had a fridge in our room. They let us leave our luggage for free and there's free tea and coffee in reception. Good place to stay on a budget.

Screaming, cursing, and yelling in other languages in guests faces whilst knowing they only speak English does not help anyone. Rest of the staff was absolutely amazing.

• Stephen (4/5): Disappointing - Very friendly staff who will help with anything you need but I just feel they have used every single space in the building to use as a room,I felt as if I was in a prison cell for the night but to be fair it cost me €25 so you get what you pay for I suppose
• Ines (5/5): Good location for layover unless you can deal with the noise! - Clean room and finally some English at reception! Tea, coffee, even pastry options - a nice gesture! Bus stop to the airport just minutes away (3.89 euro) LOCATION - VERY noisy as expected in the centre! From tourists endlessly passing by to (glass) bins being collected like hundred times per night to internal noises. The receptionist having personal phone conversations on a loudspeaker was the last thing you need at midnight. Staff kitchen on the 1st floor adds to even more noise, so good luck trying to sleep! Overall, if you are a light sleeper, this is not a place to stay as earplugs won't save you. AIR CON - super cold but no access to settings seems to be a common practice. Was freezing the entire night under a tiny sheet! BUDGET ROOMS - as per booking, expected at least a sink in the room but wasn't there (nb 103). The shared toilet room was surprisingly clean but to wash your face - you whether keep hitting your forehead against the shelf just in front or keep dripping water on the floor. A simple hanger on the door was missed as well. The was NO light in the shower room at all! Had to get creative with a phone torch!
• Pantelis (1/5): **Disappointing Stay: Poor Facilities and Unprofessiona - The location is very good. **Room Location:** During my stay, my room was located on the 4th floor of the building. Unfortunately, there was no elevator available, which made it very inconvenient, especially when carrying luggage up and down the stairs. This was quite exhausting and definitely not ideal for guests with mobility issues or heavy bags. **Air Conditioning:** The air conditioning system in the room is centrally managed for the entire floor from the reception area. However, there is no direct line or intercom to contact the reception. If the temperature becomes uncomfortable during the night, you have to physically go down to the reception to request an adjustment. This crucial piece of information was not communicated to me on the first night. As a result, I woke up in the middle of the night sweating from the heat, which severely disrupted my sleep. **Bathroom Facilities:** The shower in my room was broken and water was leaking everywhere. This made using the shower a frustrating experience as it caused water to spread all over the bathroom floor. This issue should have been addressed before assigning the room to a guest. **Reception Staff:** The lady at the reception was extremely unprofessional and rude. During a conversation, she raised her voice at me. When I raised my voice in response, she started yelling and threatened to call the police. Additionally, the hotel policy did not allow me to bring a friend to my room. When I politely asked to see this policy, she again threatened to call the police. Following this incident, she stopped greeting me with a good morning, which I found very unwelcoming and unprofessional. Furthermore, the receptionist did not speak proper English, which made communication even more difficult and frustrating. **Cultural Influence:** The family that runs the business has a distinct cultural background, which is evident from the specific smell that permeated all the public spaces.
