• Athanasios (8/5): Good stay for a night - The apartment was clean and close to some nice beaches, it also had a nice view from the rooftop. It was close to Argostoli and Lixouri. There was no parking spot available in the property, our room was in the ground floor and it was not very spacious.

• Reno (9/5): Great, well located studio - Really cute modern studio. Nice modern bathroom. Everything worked really well - good wi-fi, aircon and a really comfy bed. We loved the nice private patio garden outside our room where we could enjoy our breakfast. The huge roof terrace was great too, with amazing views over the sea and sunset. Katerina and Renos were really welcoming and friendly and helped us with anything we needed. Great location - just a short walk to a lovely beach. Also, it was so convenient having a well stocked supermarket just 1 min walk away. We would definitely recommend staying here. Nothing really. All was good.

• Peter (9/5): We hope to come back one day - Renos and Katerina are excellent hosts, it was a pleasure to meet them and their family. They were very helpful and informative and gave us suggestions for our days out in the car, nothing was too much trouble. When Katerina noticed that it was our wedding anniversary, she left a bottle of wine and a card which was a lovely touch. We were met by Renos when we arrived, he gave us the key and a tour of the property, including the roof terrace which has fabulous views over the bay. The first floor apartment is very bright and spacious with several sitting areas. The main bedroom is a good size with a low but very comfortable bed, we slept well! Plenty of cupboard and wardrobe space and there was a small hairdryer in the bedroom. The balcony has a lovely view where you can relax and watch the sunset over the sea. It is on the edge of the town so a short walk down to the restaurants and also a short but hilly walk to the beach, which is safe for swimming. The supermarket across the road was open until midnight, 7 days a week, when we were there. Mel's cafe is next to the supermarket and is very handy if you want to pop out for a meal or snack. We had a fabulous holiday and would love to go back.

• Kon (9/5): One night in Liassi - The host Renos was amazing. He was very accommodating and went wat out of his way to ensure we has everything we needed. The lack of block out blinds in our ground level room might have been a problem if you like to sleep in.

• Bev (10/5): We recommend the Niko studios and would definitely return - Niko Studios consists of 5 studios. There are 4 upstairs with nice views and 1 on ground floor. We loved our cute ground floor studio with it's private little patio with table & chairs & outside sink. Simple, basic, homely Greek accommodation with a lovely quirky feel. Quiet & peaceful as it is just a few seconds away from the main Lassi road up a short slope. Free parking for a couple of cars on site. The owner, Renos, and his son were very helpful in advising us how to get to places and recommending good restaurants - we really enjoyed chatting to them. They worked very hard to keep the surroundings clean and tidy. Renos's wife, Katerina, helped us to get a hire car from a local, trusted company at a very good price. Our bed was comfortable, the bathroom was nice and the shower always had enough hot water. There is a fantastic rooftop terrace with a range of modern furniture which we loved to use because the sea view from there is absolutely spectacular. The location is excellent as there is the Dolphin supermarket across the main road, and because you are at the Argostoli end of Lassi you can easily walk there in about 15 minutes. The studios are within walking distance of 3 beaches - the nearest is Gradakia, which is small and is down a steepish hill directly opposite - 5 minutes walk. There were cold drinks sold there at a stall, and sunbeds. The beach a little way north is Kalamia, which is also down a steep path - it is a pretty cove and has sunbeds and a beach bar. The beach a little way south is Paliostafides but it is right next to Hotel Mediterrani so it gets full of hotel guests very early in the day. You can also walk to Makris Gialos beach in about 20 minutes and Platis Gialos in about 25 minutes. The studios are also close to some great restaurants. Car hire is recommended to see the other nice beaches/towns of Kefalonia too. We had a fantastic holiday and would definitely like to stay at Niko studios again. It was not a problem for us at all as we like to eat at local restaurants when we are on holiday, but we think it is helpful to know that there is a kettle and fridge with freezer section in the Ground floor studio, but there are no cooking facilities.
