• Alice (3/5): Not worth the price - Part of the staff was very friendly. If you like kadikoy area, the location is very good. We paid for a standard room (not economy), and it was extremely tiny. Impossible to move inside. The bathroom smells like sewage, and it's very humid with no ventilation. It's also very small and made of poor quality furniture. Because of being in an old historic building, the wooden floor makes very loud noise, and you hear the other guests walking. The bed is small for two people. We asked the staff to bring toilet paper to our room (they gave us only half a roll when we arrived) and they did not bring it. The WiFi was not working for 3 days in a row. The price is the same of way more fancy hotels in the more touristic locations and of course there is no breakfast available because the hotel is tiny. The price was definitely not worth it. We cannot understand how it scores 8.2 on booking.com.

• stevey72 (10/5): Great choice in Kadikoy - away from main tourist areas in Istanbul, but connected by ferry - Great choice of hotel in a wonderful part of Istanbul - Kadikoy. The room was spacious and clean, with a lovely balcony. There are not many rooms, but all very cosy and nice. Staff were nice and helpful too. All was good!

• Anahis (1/5): Diminuto y ruidoso - La ubicación Era muy pequeño. En el baño no entraba apenas una persona. Para poder sentarte en el wc tenías que tener la puerta abierta. La habitación muy pequeña y se escuchaba todo el ruido de las demás habitaciones La primera noche había gente en otras habitaciones que gritaba y hacía mucho ruido . Eran las 3 de la mañana , bajamos a recepción avisando de que estaban despertando los gritos y risas de los demás y no hicieron nada. Al día siguiente le rogamos a recepción que esa noche haber si era posible dormir y nos dijeron que eran conscientes del ruido y que iban a hablar con los otros huéspedes. Dejamos a la mañana puesto el cartel para que limpiaran la habitación y no la limpiaron. La habitación muy muy pequeña, el baño bastante agobiante
• Sophia (5/5): Great location, but very small room - The hotel is very well located, right next to the bus and ferry terminal in Kadıköy. The surrounding streets are lively and full of restaurants with a great atmosphere. The room was too small for two people. We also noticed ants in the shower.
• Hilary Anne (9/5): Fantastic! Highly recommended. - The hotel is very close to the bus station and ferries - 5 minutes walking. We had a room at the back which was very quiet. The staff were great. Beds and pillows were really comfortable and the shower had great water pressure! The hotel is on the edge of what is a busy restaurant area and so doesn't suffer from excessive tourism - we were there at the end of April. For us, being close to the heart but not in it exactly was perfect. We were in a triple room and it would be a good idea to have some hooks on the door of the bathroom (on the inside and the outside of the door?) to hang up towels as well as some more coat hangers in the wardrobe. The understandably limited space wasn't in itself a prolem but we missed being able to hang things up out of the way.

• Christina (9/5): Charming, affordable, friendly, safe—complete with resident cat. - The neighborhood is charming and real, capturing the beauty and “hüsün” of Istanbul. Location is great and felt safe for a lone female traveler. Staff were generous and helpful. Lumpy pillows and WiFi doesn’t work in the downstairs (basement) rooms, which is probably a reality of historic architecture.

• Dina (4/5): Uncomfortable - Staff were friendly and location is great. It felt like I was sitting with the guests in the room next to mine, that’s how thin the walls were. It was very uncomfortable. Even walking across the wooden floor made loud creaking noises, as if I was walking inside their room and they in mine. Every small sound, even coughing, carried straight through the walls. Would not stay there again!

The only disadvantage that I found in this place is that you can hear almost everything that is happening in the lobby/neighboring rooms.

• Anton (6/5): На одну ночь можно - Персонал вежливый и учтивый. Местоположение, с учетом специфики Стамбула, хорошее. Для тех, кто не хочет добираться с багажом с миллионом пересадок - идеально. Кровать и постельное белье - очень хорошо. Есть чайник, кофе, чай, сахар. Крошечных размеров ванная и туалет для лилипутов. Цена для января завышена, 35 евро за ночь без завтрака на цокольном этаже без окон (пусть и с выходом в сад) в нетуристическом районе это дорого, я считаю.

Наоколо има мн кафенца, магазини и ресторанти. Беше мн шумно, няма шумоизолация между помещенията, чува се всичко от горната стая. При ходене се чуваше все едно ходят в моята стая, чуват се разговори, ходене по стълбите.От улицата също се чува. В стаята е мн мрачно. Може да се наблегне повече на чистотата.

While I was waiting to check in, she brought me a delicious Turkish coffee. She even upgraded me to a bigger room with a balcony. The room was very clean and had a lovely atmosphere. The location was great and the price was good too. Thank you, Otel Kadıköy, for this very pleasant stay.

• NORIHIRO (8/5): 終日外にいて寝るだけの人にはお勧め。 - ロケーション、スタッフは最高。 カドキョイの中心部から少し外れているので、美味しいローカルレストランが多数ありました。 部屋は狭いです。特にシャワールームはかなりコンパクト。 欧米人では難しいかなと思います。 また好みによりますが木製の建物なので階段を登る足跡は部屋まで響きます。

• Sezen (6/5): Für einen kurzen Tripp ist das Hotel sehr geeignet - Das Hotel ist sehr Zentral ruhige Gegend. Das Zimmer war im unteren Stock und hatte einen kleinen Garten. Das Badezimmer war sehr klein und die Badetücher wurden leider nicht gewechselt. Das Zimmer wurden durch den Tag nicht gereinigt.

• Christian (7/5): Zimmerlage vorher abklären. - Lage zum Shuttelbus welcher zum Flughafen fährt ist super. Auch zu den Fähren, welche zur Altstadt und Karakoy fahren. Zum Zentrum von Kadiköy ist es nicht weit. Da kann man Abends gut essen. Mein Zimmer war unten neben der Rezeption am Eingang. Sehr hellhörig. Auch die Fenster zur Straße sind nur sehr dünn und hellhörig. Daher schlecht geschlafen, da in der Straße nachts gefahren wird.

• Олеся (2/5): - Хороший напор воды из душа Тапки Все не понравилось. Самое худшее место, где мне пришлось бывать до этого дня. Ужасный номер на -1 этаже. Такое нельзя продавать за деньги. Темно, уныло, шумно, душно. Кондиционер направлен прям на кровать. Вид на сад, заявленный в описание по факту выход на темную террасу. Терраса запущенная, грязная, воняет ужасно, котами и продуктами их жизнедеятельности. Была надежда открыть окно, но там запах еще хуже. Одно из окон сделано в глухую стену. Ванная не удобная. Невозможно нормально умыться, унитаз качается, в душевой грибок. Белье, полотенца сушить негде. Белье все застиранное,сероватого цвета. На потолке серые пятна. Не знаю что это. На том же этаже тех.помещения. Ходит шумный персонал. Самое ужасное это отсутствие шумоизоляции. В номере висит табличка, что поскольку в доме деревянные очень ценные перекрытия, то ходить нужно очень тихо, заботясь о других постояльцах. При этом это предупреждение совсем не относится к персоналу, который очень шумно общается на -1 этаже и громко пользуется служебными помещениями. И вишенкой на торте стал ремонт в комнате над нами, ладно вечером, терпели. Но это длилось до 2 ночи!! Топот, стуки, шаги, передвижение мебели. Учитывая, что там раритетные перекрытия деревянные это было очень громко. Муж не вытерпел вышел и стал кричать, только тогда перестали. В отеле останавливались на транзит, выспаться, конечно, не удалось. На утро ни извинений ничего. Персонал не говорит на Английском. Просили помочь с вызовом такси, девушка на ресепшен ничего не поняла. Соединила меня по телефону с русскоговорящей женщиной. Которая говорила что- то непонятное, типа «если сейчас заказать то они начнут вас накручивать, то приедем, то не приедем. Лучше утром пойти, где стоят такси на улице. Мы же были на улице? Вот туда и пойти. Или все таки они смогут договориться утром со своими таксистами. Вообщем, посмотрим.» Это ответ менеджера отеля на просьбу вызвать такси? Серьезно?

• Carl (9/5): Enjoyed our 5 day stay - The staff were friendly and helpful the accommodation was central to bus/metro/train/trams also shopping and restaurants extra both close to authentic turkish bath house. We were on the bottom floor so was quite noisy especially with a young child upstairs above our room you could hear everything. If you jad earplugs that would have been fine.

• Andrei (8/5): One of the best options for a single traveller in Istanbul - The hotel is good for having a place to sleep at while in Istanbul. The staff are very helpful and kind. The hotel's location is in a good neighbourhood to explore Istanbul thanks to the numerous means of transportation available in the property's vicinity. It is a hotel more suited for single travellers. The rooms are small, so you can find bigger and more comfortable rooms in other cities for the same price (or cheaper). It is the type of room to which you come back late at night and sleep, whereas in other properties the rooms will be more spacious and thus provide a better price-quality ratio. Also bear in mind that other hotels have breakfast included for a similar (or lower) price, but that might apply mainly outside of Istanbul (or not in the city's areas most densely connected by means of transportation, and/or in areas located not as close to the city centre). I didn't see other rooms except for my own, but maybe it's better to come to this hotel only if you travel alone.

• Mevlüde (10/5): - Das Hotel hat eine süße Atmosphäre und super nette Mitarbeiter, sodass man sich sofort wohl fühlt. Das Zimmer ist groß und stellt sogar Dinge wie Hausschlappen zur Verfügung. Für einen kurzen Aufenthalt (bei uns 3 Tage) sehr empfehlenswert.

• Irina (4/5): - Местоположение Хотела бы оставить отзыв по поводу номера на 1-ом этаже с так называемым садом. Не могу говорить конкретно за весь отель, а только за снятый номер. 1. Есть терраса, но ее минус в том что там постоянно срут кошки. Естественно к персоналу нет претензий, Стамбул и кошки это неотъемлемая часть. Но! Облюбовали они там песочек и когда шпарит жара в 30 градусов запах соответствующий. 2. Не спала я две ночи подряд, так как это здание старое, с деревянными видимо перекрытиями. И соседи сверху постоянно ходили в 3 ночи по голове. Надо отдать должное, персонал милый и пытался решить проблему как мог. В остальном все хорошо. Цена и качество соответствующее.
• Rahsan (8/5): Overall Good stay.. there is always room for improvement if guest feedback are read carefully - The hotel is in a very central location; the staff are friendly and helpful (except for the lady of Russian origin—she hardly smiles). We stayed in a family room (middle floor) since there were 4 of us—the room is quite spacious. The only problem I can say is that the sound insulation is not good because it is an old building, and you can hear the guests walking on the upper floor. Secondly, the fly screens on the windows are not fitted properly (there are gaps). We could never open the windows because of mosquitoes (the air conditioning was always on in the evenings). It is very important to be able to open the windows in the middle of summer and for mosquitoes not to enter the room. It will be great if hotel management looks into this and repairs the fly screens & put mosquito catchers or candles should be placed in all rooms for guests comfort. • Christina (6/5): Pleasant - The location of the hotel was very convenient. The staff was very kind. The building is quite old and staying on the ground floor is annoying since you hear every step of the guests on the first floor or those using the staircase.
• Claire (9/5): Beautiful Hotel in Kadikoy - Wonderful triple room. Very comfortable, right in the heart of trendy Kadioky but also just 5mins away to the ferry stop to the European side. I preffered staying around Kadioky though. The staff were wonderful and helpful. We had a gorgeous balcony that we made the most of and fed the cats there too. The bathroom in our room was tiny. 😆 But I would 100% stat here again anyway

• Erinc (10/5): Amazing place for good price - Great place to stay, easy get to from Sabiha airport and can easily access to west side by ferry or Marmaray. Very central location and more affordable alternative European side while being able to access all of it easily. Room is great and very clean. Only thing I can mention is, while it is not an issue functionally, ecstatically, might be good invest more to bathroom finish as the work done for sealing around seems not well done, and fixing the showering screen so it wouldn’t leak outside
• Lucy (6/5): Good for smokers and anyone on a budget - Had a pleasant enough time here. The room was spacious and the staff were friendly. The hotel is a bit out of the main thoroughfare but still close enough to be convenient. The "garden view" room is basically in the basement with access to a a concrete courtyard with no garden to speak of. Great for smokers who want an easy place to smoke, but this didn't apply to us so we didn't use it. The lack of natural light made the room feel a bit dark and dingy. Many of the fixtures (toilet paper roll, toilet, bathroom tap etc.) were loose and came out of the wall. The staff were as helpful as they could be but this was difficult because they couldn't speak English. Partway through the stay the ceiling started leaking. It eventually stopped after a few hours but we didn't get much help for this other than an apology and a couple extra towels to put on the floor.
• Jan (6/5): - Søde hjælpsomme mennesker på hotellet. Men denne gang opleves meget larm og uro udenfor hotellet. Generende og årsag til manglende søvn. Dårlig ventilation derfor ekstrem varmt om især natten.
