Guest Reviews
- Kirsten (10/5): - Accommodation was so clean and really great little touches for young kids such as plastic plates, drinking cups, cutlery etc. We weren't sure where the "free onside parking" was supposed to be but we were fine using a pay and display in the town.
- John (5/5): Passable - I did not receive any communication as to how to access the property on arrival, so as i had given an arrival time was expecting the host to be at the property. The messaging on the Booking.com website does not work and finally after leaving a message the host called me back and i gained access The grill in the oven had not been cleaned and a used dish sponge was left in sink, there were new ones in cupboard.
- Angela (8/5): Ich würde auf jeden Fall wieder kommen. -
- Guest (10/5): - The cleanliness nice open plan and the most comfy beds. Best I have slept in years!
- Guest (8/5): A very nice clean and tidy place - The property was in a good location
- Nicola (7/5): Lovely apartment but with a few issues - The apartment is lovely and cosy, and was cleaned to a high standard. The hosts have provided everything you might need like tea and coffee, a well equipped kitchen and things like hairdryers and baby equipment. It is central in Warminster so it’s easy to get to shops, restaurants and the train station. The apartment was tricky to find, better information from the hosts would really help. We had to park quite a distance away which was tricky with luggage so that is worth bearing in mind if this would be difficult for you. The mattresses on the bunk beds in the second were really uncomfortable and felt like they needed replacing.
- Bill (10/5): A really nice place in Warminster - Clean and well appointed Bins in the alley
- Matt (10/5): Loved every second of it, would definitely recommend and stay again next time we travel down. - It was absolutely lovely, well laid out. Very clean and comfortable Nothing really, the entrance way through the alley was slightly unusual but other than that fantastic
- Rebecca (7/5): Cosy and cute - Fully equipped. Cosy and lovely host. Dusty down side of drawers with loads of spiders.
Bathroom very claustrophobic.
Big bedroom very hot.
- Laura (8/5): Nice little cottage, super clean and good facilities, very comfy sofa!! - Very very clean and well appointed, a little gem hidden away. The alley is fine, plenty of space to get through and very easy to get into the cottage.
- Dale (10/5): Exceptional - Great location
- Maggie (8/5): Perfect for a short stay but wouldn’t recommend for a long stay. - Well equipped clean property perfect for an overnight stay. The location of the property was very disappointing I wasn’t happy to have to pass by rubbish bins down a path to a yard.
- Debbie (8/5): Great stay. Fab location. - Clean and cozy. The property was well looked after The beds weren’t the most comfortable. Would have been great to have clearer directions as to where it was.
- Anthony (8/5): Convenient for the Centre of Warminster - This is a well-appointed small cottage right in the centre of Warminster. It had everything we needed for an overnight stay. Would certainly stay here again. The bathroom is very small, but as big as it could possibly be in a property of this size.
- Laura (7/5): Good - was a lovely place, nice and clean and well equipped, we have a baby and was happy there as a highchair when we got there, they do have a cot too but we had our own, was a nice and comfortable stay, when we got there we couldn’t find the location of the property, I called up the owner and she was very pleasant and polite and couldn’t of been more helpful like i said on the other review we had young children and not having parking on site made it difficult for us and trying to push the pram up a alleyway with communal bin area was a tight squeeze, having to park in the pub car park opposite on a busy main road with young children and lugging over all our stuff was a bit of a hindrance but that was the only fault of our stay
- Kim (9/5): Superb - Lovely modern comfy well equipped apartment close to Longleat and perfect for our stay Could benefit from a mirror in the main bedroom and a king-size bed.. my partner is 6ft3 and found the bed a little small... And a mind your head above the very low bedroom door would be useful ..other than that a lovely stay
- Tammy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pryce (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shaun (9/5): Lovely little place in a central location. - Really comfortable and cosy little place. Well furnished, modern and clean. Everything was fine. Would have been nice to have the toiletries and basics to be a bit more full (a bit more coffee, toilet roll, kitchen roll, hand soaps etc.), but we had enough to get by.
- Lesley (9/5): Superb - Lovely little cottage very well appointed. Everything you could need for a stay away from home Needs clear directions how to locate the property and where to park. Also why we couldn't get in until 4pm when you have to vacate by 10am is beyond me?
- Claire (9/5): Great location - Perfect for a night's stay after Longleat. Great location, and it had everything we needed
- Iman (10/5): Home away from home ❤️ - I booked the night for my 2 year olds birthday as we went to Longleat safari 10-15 mins away (family of 4 mum, dad, 2 year old and 4 year old) Lottie was in communication with me at all times when needed and accommodated our needs. We had all essentials me and children needed. Just the smallest things she did made me and my family feel right at home. I cannot stress how special our stay was coming from London it was a long drive and day. When I come back to longleat I will be staying here again and have already recommended mews cottage.
Thank you Lottie x
- Emma (8/5): Very good - Clean and tidy very cute. Parking was fine and close to amenities. Would recommend lovely little place. And close to longleat safari which was perfect for the little ones 5th birthday
- Richard (6/5): Lovey apartment but location is an issue. - Interior of apartment was very nice, well styled, and lovely and clean. The shower was excellent. The host was happy to slip check out to noon for us. The apartment was difficult to find as it is down a dark passage off the main road. There is no parking close by to unload luggage.
- Tony (8/5): Exceeded expectations - The apartment was immaculately clean, well equipped, and exceeded our expectations. There was a choice of places to eat and drink in the near vicinity. Accessing the apartment is down a narrow dark alleyway
- William (7/5): Didn’t get the codes from bookings to get into the property so had to email and call a few times the property owner to g - The place was well decorated and cozy. The alley to get to the place was a little creepy and someone was pissing in it as we arrived.
- Connor (9/5): Excellent little place tucked away inside the town centre, close to local amenities - Amazingly well presented, bed very comfortable, well stocked kitchen. Slightly hard to find
- Natalie (8/5): A lovely wee place for an overnight stay, a little small for 4 grown ups in terms of living space but was great for what - Extremely clean, very well stocked in terms of kitchen amenities, towels, was a very quirky wee place. No on site parking (although able to park in the pub carpark (although not many spaces), the property is on a high street down an alleyway and tucked at the back of other buildings so not the easiest to locate. It would help for full directions of how to access the location and parking etc to be given before arrival is all I would suggest. The bunk beds are definitely for toddlers, teenagers can manage them but quite short in length and width but were reliably informed of being comfortable.
- Jacqui (3/5): Poor - On first arrival it looked lovely, cosy and comfortable, but when we got to unpacking, using the property and sleeping overnight it was quiet disappointing The mattresses on the bunk beds were really thin cheap spring mattresses and hard to sleep on. The mattress in the double bedroom as really hard. Overnight was either absolutely roasting around 2am and then absolutely freezing after that. We really didn’t get much sleep at all during the two nights we stayed.
We discovered a really bad smell on arrival that was around the fridge area, so after a bit of investigation we got to the bottom of it, sorted it out for them as it couldn’t wait and notified the owner. We also descaled the kettle and they said they would reimburse us for that. The bathroom was really difficult to use as the space was pretty tight and the sink far too tiny for brushing your teeth over. It all kept going down the front of the sink. A shelf in the bathroom would also be handy as the cupboard space is filled up with other stuff. The owner was lovely and apologised for the issues. Just a few things need to be looked at. Maybe someone needs to stay in it and experience/address its practicality/needs and comfort too.
- Bridget (9/5): Mews Cottage - Cottage was lovely and comfortable with good facilities and nice and cosy. Trying to find the cottage in the dark it was down a dark narrow alley. It would have been helpful if there was a sign outside the alley.had to phone the owners for directions.
- Paul (9/5): Home from home. - Great place for families to stay in easy reach of the high street. Nothing bad to say.
- Paige (10/5): Cosy & cute cottage, perfect for small family! - Central location, clean & cosy facilities. Perfect festive touch during December month. Parking is slightly difficult but you will find car parks nearby with a short walk.
- Deb (7/5): Good - Very clean loved the added touch of the tree.
Had everything I neede d The parking was very poor with rubbish everywhere. The alleyway was pitch black could not see a thing so trying to get the keys was hard thank goodness for I phone torch. The walkways leading to the property were terrible not good for safety defo needs lighting.
Would not go back here due to the fact i could not roll my case had to carry it above my head to get down the alley.
- Madeleine (9/5): Superb -
- Heather (9/5): Great accommodation in the perfect location for us. - Very clean and well presented. Even had a Xmas tree which was a lovely touch Access isn’t straightforward but it will not deter us from booking again.
- Carly (7/5): Pleasant - Comfy and clean Very dark alley way and drain lower than ground surface causing a trip hazard
- Ceiron (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean and had everything you could need
- Shaun (9/5): Very cozy and quiet just what we needed - Very tidy and as the pictures showed Walkway to the property from the main road was very dark as some of the lighting wasn’t working.
- John (10/5): Very nice rooms and good location - Excellent location. Very clean and comfortable
- Jared (10/5): Exceptional -
- Caz13 (6/5): Pleasant - The property was clean and well presented, tea/coffee and milk provided. Good central location. Plenty of places to eat locally. There were a few issues which I felt should be more transparent.
- Access is up a long alley way at the side of a shop. The first part of the alley way had multiple bins in - very narrow and was difficult with a suitcase. I had to lift this above my head to get past. At the end of the first alley way there is a locked door, lock box next to it. It was so dark and I had no flash light. There were lights but they were not on / didn’t work. Once past the door there is another long alley way. Again pitch black. No working lights. This area is behind shops, so isolated. There were patio doors to the outbuildings behind open, covered in curtains. As a female alone, I did feel vulnerable. The hosts should ensure that the area is well lit and should mention this. If you had mobility problems, you would struggle to access the property.
- We were a group of 3 adults. One room has a double bed and one room has bunk beds. We were aware of this and shouldn’t have been a problem. Unfortunately the bunks are for very small children - under 10s I would guess. I am 5ft3 and my feet hung off the end of the bed. Mattresses were very thin on the bunk, and when I turned over, my hips would bash on to the slats because of the thin mattress. Suffice to say I had a bad nights sleep. My friend on the bunks had the same experience.
- There are small wall heaters but the property is cold in the evening, more efficient and powerful heaters are needed or for them to be put on for a few hours before you arrive would help take the edge off.
As mentioned the location is very good, but sadly due to the above it wouldn’t be somewhere I would want to book again. I do feel the listing should be more open about these things.
- Patricia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carla (10/5): Amazing small cottage in a good location, within the town. Clean. Great host. Good communication. - Great location in the centre of the town. Perfectly clean and well presented. Would stay again. Great host. I was unsure on the location as from where I am from going down an alley in the dark is very risky. However, I feel there was nothing to be worried about at all. Would like parking to be included on the booking.
