- Maria (1/5): AVOID - SCAM - AVOID. We arrived at the property and had to ring the owner to get access instructions. He promised to send them straight away. After 15 minutes waiting,ñ outside, we called again to chase, and phone went unanswered. A family then arrived and said they have the property rented themselves through an agent. So we had to find alternative accommodation last minute. Booking.com have now refunded the fee but offered no explanation or paid any compensation for the stress caused. We were lucky to find alternative accommodation bit was not cheap at all. I’ll think twice about using booking.com again, as this property is still available to rent despite me reporting it as clearly a scam AVOID. - Ruby (1/5): Bad - Nothing. The beds were dirty, there were holes in the walls, it weren't the property I booked it was a different one as the property was double booked. The sink was blocked, the property was covered in bin bags at the front door full of rubbish, there wasn't a bin in the property or a remote and the heating did not work.
