• Tanja (9/5): Paradise - The lovely steff made us feel right at home. The garden is so so beautiful and the atmosphere is incredible. It is the perfect location to cut a long drive in half. There is the most amazing breakfast that she prepares for you, and also a lovely restaurant with great food just down the street. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting something special! Well, get yourself in the mood for a lot of nature noise for the night! But you're in costa rica, this is part of the deal! Makes it all even more special!

• Samantha (6/5): Lovely garden environment - just needs to improve on some of the basics. - The grounds /garden were truly splendid. Landscape beautifully and very lush green and full of chirping frogs. They had made the most of the beautiful landscape. The little chalets/huts sit read out in these gardens. The breakfast was good with fruit, nice bread, jams, home-made cookies and cooked eggs of your choice. Although the gardens and chalets are charming, I felt I couldn’t rate this property highly as some of the key basics were missing for me and I’d rather have those for a one night stay and a charming outlook. The shower was a bit of a dribble and did not get hot properly. I was very offhand about it when I asked as though I was an idiot. There was no milk either powder or fresh. (And there was a fridge for leaving fresh). The owner was quite defensive when I asked for some, but she did give me some which I collected from her. The bed was very very uncomfortable, probably the one of the most uncomfortable beds I’ve ever stayed in as it was like an ironing board. You can hear some road noise from the garden, but the road gets a lot quieter at night.

• Peter Hofstee (10/5): Heerlijke oase - Super vriendelijke host van dit prachtige verblijf. Wat een mooie plek, een fantastische tuin met zwembad. Fijn huisje, met terras. Heerlijk ontbijt met vers brood, eitjes, cereals, fruit etc. Zeker aan te raden om te blijven. (Restaurant op loopafstand, niet veel bijzonders maar prima) we hebben hier een fijne nacht geslapen op weg naar de kust.

Inge is the most fantastic host, calm, contented, cannot do enough. There is a swimming pool filled naturally by spring water and a well kept pond boasting several varieties of fish. Inge prepared and presented an amazing and colourful breakfast of locally sourced ingredients. If you are heading to the Caribbean coast and you should. This is an essential stopover! Nothing
• CARLOS G (10/5): Un Paraiso Natural Increible - Desde la llegada, (muy tarde, casi media noche) la experiencia fue increíble, el staff muy atento y con explicaciones muy claras de los servicios y las opciones sin importar la hora. Como era de noche no se podía ver gran cosa del exterior, pero al amanecer lo que vi fue un verdadero paraíso, una vista verdaderamente de película, la vegetación, las aves y el entorno en general era una delicia a la vista, hubiera querido quedarme unos días mas. La habitación muy completa y limpia de acuerdo con el nivel de belleza de todo el lugar. El desayuno delicioso y muy completo y con ingredientes nutritivos, con un trato tan amable que se sentía casi familiar por parte de la dueña del lugar. En general, recomiendo ampliamente el Siquirres Mountain Lodge, tendrán una experiencia de hospedaje sin duda increíble, yo me prometo regresar. Ninguna queja, tal vez solo recomendaría un colchón un poco mas suave en la habitación, pero eso es una cuestión personal, en general no tengo ninguna queja.

Es ist ruhig inmitten der Natur und der Garten ist der Hammer! 🤩 Das top Frühstück mit selbst gebackenen Brot, Marmeladen und den liebevoll arrangierten Früchten… Eier deiner Wahl dazu und wir waren einfach glücklich! Die Gastgeberin ist sehr sympathisch und wir hatten nette Gespräche. Wer Ruhe und Schönheit sucht… hier seid ihr richtig!

Das Frühstück mega lecker alles frisch zubereitet und es gab selbstgemachte Marmelade und Brot Wir waren leider nur eine Nacht dort. Bei unserer Mietwagenrundreise, die beste Unterkunft. Nichts, gar nichts.

Inge kommuniziert auch via Booking.com in Deutsch! Wer auf das Frühstück verzichtet, ist selber schuld!!!!! :-))))) Es war das BESTE, welches wir nach 14 Tagen Reise genossen haben!: BESTER CAFFE, CREPSES, EI NACH WAHL(WUNSCH) ZB. MIT ZWIEBELN, TOMATEN, Champingnongs, Kräutern, Müsli, ... selbstgemachtes Brot, Marmelade, ... WECHSELND, ... UNFASSBAR wer nicht bucht, ist selber schuld! Unterkunft sehr privat, sauber, WLN, sauber, ... BUCHEN!!! Pool in Natur, großer Park mit See, Überdachte Entspannungsräume,, Flüsse, selbst bei Regen ... EIN TRAUM!!! nichts

Screens on the windows and doors would have kept the mosquitos out when sleeping with the windows and doors open at night to cool off.

• Conchita (9/5): Heerlijk! - Zeer schoon, huisjes oogden nieuw, perfect ontbijt, zeer vriendelijke eigenaar. Eigenaren hebben ons gehaald en gebracht naar Siquirres tegen kleine vergoeding. Nog geen restaurant, maar tegen zeer redelijke prijs konden we in de avond mee eten bij accommodatie. Hele mooie omgeving, veel vogels! En heerlijk zwembadje Alles beviel. Is het waard om langer te blijven dan alleen als doorreis.

Très gentils, arrangeants et aux petits soins - le petit déjeuner copieux, fait maison. - nous le savions avant mais l’absence de climatisation a été compliquée à gérer une bonne partie de la nuit nous avons eu très chaud malgré les ventilateurs. - le matelas n’était pas à notre goût (ressorts) - l’eau chaude tout juste tiède

• Anonymous (10/5): Our favorite place we have stayed in four trips to Costa Rica - The facilities were upscale and simple. Stephaan is a classically trained chef and the meals show that! Inge set up a bird watching/boat ride in a nearby lake and a night hike with a neighboring conservation organization. We will return. Nothing the stay was incredible. A grey necked wood rail walks thru the yard each morning!

In the morning we had an amazing home made breakfast on the front porch. Absolutely recommend the stay the place is absolutely mesmerizing and the owners are very nice.

• Melissa (10/5): A gem of a spot! - We made a reservation at Siquirres Mountain Lodge as a convenient halfway point between La Fortuna and Puerto Viejo and LOVED it. We stayed at several properties across Costa Rica and this was by far our favorite! They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and breakfast was fab. Cannot recommend them highly enough and we will be sure to stay here next time we are in Costa Rica! Thank you again for a wonderful stay!

• Noa (10/5): Heavenly - Wow, what an unexpected surprise! We wanted to break down our drive and looked for a place to stay with our kids for one night and booked a night here last minute. The moment we arrived we couldn't believe our luck. The place is amazing, every small detail thought about. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are so nice, beds were so comfortable. The only noise is the birds, such a relaxing place. There is a restaurant right outside the property but we didn't eat there, and the pool seems great though we didn't try it because it was raining so hard. still the rain didn't bother us to appreciate the beauty of the place. The hostess was so kind and welcoming, she prepared us a magnificent breakfast, we would definitely recommend.

Unfortunatelly, there are 220V sockets on się, which are not clearly stated and we burned out one of our electric device, for which we think the owner should pay. The beds are not realy comfortable and you can hear the noise from the main road!

• Andrew (9/5): It was beautiful. If we’d been better prepared we would have stocked up with food and beer and stayed a few nights. - We loved this place purely for the setting. It is beautiful. The chalet was clean and you are right in touch with wildlife in the rainforest, little tropical fish in the stream, big butterflies and friendliest dog you’ve ever met escorted us around the property. There is a pool and we were the only people there. There was a type of green flashing firefly at night, it was spectacular, and Toucans in the trees. The bed was on the hard side and there are no on site facilities for food or drink so you’d be advised to visit the supermarket before you get here. The nearest restaurant Apaches which has great reviews, is closed on a Tuesday, the day we stayed. The drive down to Siquerres, around 10km, is no fun at night and make sure you remember the track to the property as there are no lights and it is easy to miss in the dark. Insect repellent a must.
