Radek (9/5): Excellent place for lovers of the sea - Excellent location - 7 minutes to the closest beach, 2 minutes to the bakery small grocery store and the nearest restaurant. From the spacious terrace there's a partial view of the sea (only blocked by some trees). The apartment is very quiet (I haven't heard not met any neighbors). Actually, the cicadas were the noisiest neighbors... The apartment is very well equipped - anything you need for dining, cooking and also for going to the see (chairs, sunshade, beach toys etc). The owner is very nice and extremely friendly and helpful, trying to fulfill all your wishes, even lend things you forgot to take with you. Air conditioning both in the living room and the bedroom, plus ceiling fan in the living room, make it possible to survive in the hot summer months. This part of Nea Makri is not very touristy and the beaches were not crowded at all, the sea is very clean, shallow and warm in summer so it is an ideal place for lovers of the sea, especially families with children. If you want to see some historical sights, you can take a bus from the main street to Athens (45 minutes). The shower space is really small and cumbersome to use. The air conditioning in the bedroom is just above the upper bed so it cannot be used while sleeping on it.
