Guest Reviews
- Burrell (10/5): Excellent - Nice quiet location and great views
- Mary-Jayne (10/5): - A lovely cottage, very good location for beautiful walks. Comfortable beds, we slept very well! And plenty of space for a family of 5. A very lovely stay.
- stewart (10/5): - Absolute brilliant stay at this great place I didn't dislike anything
- Kerri (10/5): Place was brilliant for our family of 5 - 3 mainly adult sized kids and 2 dogs. Very clean and comfortable. - Clean, tidy, spacious, fully equipped kitchen The steep slippery steps (due to the amount of rain) to the garden were not the easiest to climb to keep an eye on the dogs and the very top of the garden wasn’t secure as the dogs could jump through the gaps in the fence frames but area but wasn’t an issue for my dogs as they don’t stray far but might be an issue for someone else

- M. Shah (10/5): Excellent - It is a lovely and very spacious house in a quiet area with all the necessary facilities. The beds are comfortable, and the bathroom is very spacious. Parking was never an issue — we always found a spot near the house. Headroom entering the bathroom.
- Virginia (10/5): What a little gem to find in wales in a fantastic location for all the beautiful Welsh countryside including the waterfa - Had a lovely flow, great location & very tastefully decorated. Pictures don’t do it justice …
- Letitia (10/5): - Lovely and clean, everything we needed was there for us Nothing we didn’t like
- Adi (9/5): A sweet home for a large family - A specious house, lovely and comfortable for a large family like ours. Nicely decorated and designed. It has all the facilities needed for a family. We loved the area and the place itself. Thank you for the cookies, the milk and the coffee. We appreciate it. Nothing
- Michelle (10/5): Tucked away in the Welsh Valley's... - Beautiful Cottage, Beautiful Location N/A
- Riffat (8/5): Everything was good except an air purifier will be good but again no one complained I think I was the only one with extr - We enjoyed everything the house was clean and comfortable staff was very helpful who explained everything well beautiful landscape around the property very quiet and friendly neighbours as our car battery died on the day we were about to leave one gentleman came to help which was very pleasant but unfortunately couldn’t do much as it’s needed jump lead which we had it free from garage man who fixed the car without charging us any money which was very kind Too many recycling instructions we try our best to do everything but ideally when you on a family vacation with the young adults who are living away from parents they don’t want to obey any rules
- Michael (7/5): Good -
- Phillip (10/5): Great location to visit places and going out hiking around nearby forests - Had everything that we needed for our stay in the cottage. Very surprised what was left for us in the fridge when we arrived, thank you and nice touch with the Welsh cakes. The blind in lounge window facing street as we see people walking by the window even though they are closed when sitting down to watch Tv.
Also maybe another lamp in corner, had to use main light in the evening when watching the Tv.
- Stewart (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortable place to stop Nothing
- Amy (8/5): Lovely time with family in perfect location for us. Great value for money too. - Perfect location for us (3 doors up from family). Everything we need in the house and all very comfy.
- Cheerful (7/5): Nice home with a lovely layout and good heating. - Mostly everything in the property was enjoyable, having board games to play was the highlight of me and my families stay, a nice bathroom with very good central heating, a lovely view of the green trees and hills. The Xbox didn't work, the oven was very dirty (looked like it hadn't been cleaned for months) so i wasn't able to use it, cold corridor downstairs and the master bedroom and the bedroom near the bathroom the beds were very uncomfortable to sleep on (i woke up with pains in my back).
- Houlder (10/5): Exceptional - Loved the views. Gorgeous garden, beautiful decor Would have liked a dishwasher
- Kristina (10/5): Beautiful cottage and very welcoming hosts. Very clean and spacious. Amazing location too. - Such an amazing place. Very clean, spacious and had everything we needed. Excellent location and very welcoming hosts.
- Lee (8/5): Very good - I've stayed here before and would stay here over and over again. i like everything about the house, and the location is great as well. I like how they leave a welcome package when u arrive. The only thing I didn't like was that the two single beds were uncomfortable, but saying that I do have a memory foam mattress at home, that's the only reason.
- Stewart (9/5): magnificent to - very comfortable and relaxing owners easy to contact
the price was good as I have stopped in places where it was to expensive had no complaints
- Kenneth (10/5): Good value - Clean,quiet
- Mackman (9/5): Comfortable and well appointed cottage, ideal for us to visit our family. - So well appointed. Felt very homely and ideal location for visiting our family 3 doors away. Nothing we didn’t like- the quirks provoke fond memories of growing up on the street.
- Bawa (10/5): Great stay , she proved she is a interior designer - Great Distance from my glenneath were I go everyday but I think it was my mistake
- Katrina (10/5): I took my elderly mother for a break away, it was a wonderful experience thank you - The house was beautiful, scenery was fantastic & the beds were amazingly comfortable N/A
- Cathy (10/5): We loved every minute of our stay. Thank you - Very comfortable, we had seen reports bed was bad, but we found it fine, but we do have spring mattress at home. Everything we needed in the kitchen, appliances easy to use. Plenty of games for the children. Easy access to a lot of lovely places to visit. A gorgeous mountain drive. Did not use garden as weather was not good, but found it steep to access, but worth the climb for the view. which is said in write up. Android TV with plenty of channels. The local shop was not over priced, the local Chinese was very nice. Recycling was complicated but that’s the council not cape cottage.
Steep access to garden, but common in Wales.
- Michael (8/5): Very good - Nice clean and spacious environment. Plenty of room for the family to relax. Large for a cottage. Very enjoyable stay The mattress in the master bedroom was rather uncomfortable. That is the only flaw I can think of.
- Lucy (10/5): Lovely fnaily break - I did read about the parking, so accepted this could be a problem, I have a blue badge but we didn't have any problem parking at all. Was pretty easy to be honest. The area is quiet so do expect to drive to places but there is so much to do aswell. The house is clean and tidy and had no issues at all. Shop nearby wasn't over priced either. Really enjoyed our stay. Hate doing the bad bits but doesn't look realistic if you don't. Their is a quiet zone time for us staying but neighbour across the road are a band and come back very late each night and made a lot of noise did make it hard to sleep.
There are a lot of house rules, maybe they should be added to Booking.Com so people are aware beforehand. Although the rules were what we would do anyway it's just for info for others it didn't affect our stay at all.
- Lee (8/5): Lovely stay and lovely landlords - We liked how it was so quiet and all the neighbours are friendly also with beautiful views driving from and too cape cottage. The only one thing we didn't like was the double bed as we are used to a memory foam mattress and pillows. On that, this is just our liking.
- Kirstie (8/5): Very good - The house was clean and tidy and the bathroom was so spacious! Visitor information was good. We elected to visit the place with the most guest recommendations: we thoroughly enjoyed the Show Caves! The smoke alarm in the kitchen beeped incessantly because the batteries needed replacing.
- Katja (10/5): we have a lovely stay at a very nice place - nothing
- Khanam (10/5): Exceptional - The space and how clean it was. We didn't get parking.
- Jan (8/5): Cosy, clean, good facilities, good location, generous starter pack etc. - Location was excellent for us ease were travelling around the area seeing as much as we could. Facilities, cleanliness and comfort all good. We were under the impression we could park outside, whilst we could it was first come first served. Although we did manage to park not too far away further up the road. However the hosts have a parking spot attached to the back of cottage which we believe has still to be cleared.
- Julia (10/5): A well equipped and immaculately clean cottage perfect for exploring the local area and catching up with friends. - Immaculately clean and with everything we needed for a weekend with friends. A great selection of board games and dvds. Trying to find a parking space on the hill
- Craig (8/5): Very clean and tidy and served a purpose - It was clean and tidy Parking wasn’t great, garden not suitable for younger kids
- Rhys (10/5): Lovely tardis of a property and would 100% recommend! - Stunning little Tardis of a property! Straight into a nice hallway with the stairs straight ahead of you and the entrance to the front room/dining room and kitchen on the right, just before the stairs! Lovely sized bathroom at the top of the stairs and then 3 well sized rooms along the upstairs hallway! Lovely multi tiered rear garden with a smoking area in the back! Had absolutely everything we needed for our short stay! Location is very in the middle of nowhere but that suits us! We were warned about the area by local family but had absolutely no issues! Unfortunately rained the whole time we were there but can imagine the views will be fantastic! Will 100% be returning to stay again! Parking is a little iffy but understandable! We had two vehicles and did manage to park along the road both days with maybe a 30 second walk! Just be prepared the hill is rather steep for someone with limited mobility! But once you’re parked, there’s absolutely no issues!
- Eleanor (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely, peaceful weekend away. Had everything we needed. Clean, spacious accommodation. Excellent communication from owner with any information we needed.
