Guest Reviews
- Fida (10/5): Amazing host and amazing place - Amazing Location and Amazing host!
Mandy was such a friendly person and was always looking out for us. The location was breathtaking especially early in the morning after sunrise. Quite serene area. Nice cute cosy cottage!
- Ronald (8/5): - Quiet location; well equipped kitchen.
Good having a back up gas fire! Steep drive!
Some doors squeaked!!
- Richard (9/5): Cosy cottage close to Lampeter - The cottage was easy to find. It was just like in the photos. It was very clean indeed. Mandy was a very clear communicator and gave excellent instructions. The shops of Lampeter are just 5 minutes away.
- Muralikrishnan (10/5): Photo perfect location to enjoy a break - Mandy was prompt to check if we arrived even though it was 22:00 in the night. She made a typo error in the code but then she was very kind to email, text and also walk down at that time to ensure that we got inside the property.
Shame that we could not enjoy the barbeque setup as ours was a trip to Skanda Vale temple and had to be a strict vegetarian Shower was a bit tricky to activate. As a person from south I was not familiar with electric shower (though i have one in my annex) but it had a pull cord to turn on. Suggest to leave that in the check in guide so that it is helpful for other (dumb) people like me.
Also the water pressure was very low in the shower - not sure if there was any block. but this is not a big issue.

- James (10/5): Brilliant stay - Brilliant Nothing
- Roman (10/5): Absolutely! Here’s a polished, high-impact review you can use or adapt for your holiday stay at Cartref Bach. I’ve highl - Cartref Bach was tidy and spotless from top to bottom, with fresh linens and sparkling surfaces. The setting is perfect for a holiday—quiet, private, and cozy, with a lovely garden. Thoughtful touches and clear communication made the stay easy, and the location is excellent for nature, hikes, and local amenities. It’s repeat-worthy—we’ve visited twice and it never disappoints. - Carla (10/5): Perfect for everything we needed - The location was perfect. Lovely clean property. Comfortable beds slept really well. Will definitely look to staying in the summer. Nothing was wrong, stay was absolutely perfect
- Roman (10/5): Amazing little bungalow - Amazing bungalow with beautiful views , location. Very helpful host that is only a phone call away.was perfect for our family. Na
- Paula (8/5): Great location to stay and explore the area. Shops nearby for provisions. - Peace and quiet. You can’t hear much inside the property!! The sheep outside are just gorgeous!! They belong to the property owner and are friendly. Local shops for essentials. Lots of wild life to watch from the bungalow. Good sized kitchen area and lounge. We would definitely stay again.
- Karen (10/5): -
- Emily (8/5): This beautiful little cottage style bungalow was clean and cosy with good facilities. - Able to park the car right outside the property.
Cosy clean and great accommodation for my short visit to wales with my son. Lots of pillows.
Large comfy sofa.
Accessibility with key safe so no pressure on arrival and departure times.
Double sized walk in shower with shelf to put all our bottles. Shower easy to use.
Towels provided so don’t have to pack these.
Easy to use WiFi
Wardrobe space to hang close and large chest of drawers.
Extra and clear directions emailed prior to arrival.
Space to sit outside in the garden. Could have done with some salt and pepper, serving dishes and more bowls in the kitchen.
I have mobility problems so a higher fitted toilet and handrail outside the property would have benefitted me but people with normal mobility
would not have had a problem.
Bathroom could do with updating but understand from the owner it’s in hand.
- spike (9/5): Home from home - The landlady was lovely. Could not have been more helpful. Before our stay she sent directions and the key safe instructions. On the second night of our stay it snowed heavily and she recommended that we park at the top of the drive to avoid getting stuck. She came the following morning to clear the drive and gritted the road in front of our car so that we could get out. Lovely, friendly, welcoming lady. Would not hesitate to rebook and will recommend.
- Patrick (9/5): Great place to stay - Spacious and comfortable
- sally (10/5): Peaceful, well organised property in a beautiful location. Very good value for the area. - Everything was exactly as described including directions to get to the property. The location was beautiful and quiet and the host took the lead from us as to how much we needed from them, which made everything exactly as we wanted it. Absolutely no complaints. Everything at the property was described clearly so that all of the facilities were easy to use. There were thoughtful touches too such as fresh milk, tea, coffee and biscuits, and it was lovely to be staying alongside a field of sheep and rabbits. Will definitely visit again if staying in the area.
- Sunitha (8/5): Nice cozy comfortable place - Nice cozy cottage. Very beautiful village location with parking. Clean and well maintained It would have been helpful if the host kept some basic amenities like some teabags/coffee and toilet tissues as the property is in the middle of no where with not many places to shop around
- jijo (7/5): - Everything was fine except to the toilets....
And basic supplies should have been better....like salt, some tea bags and sugar....
- Aiesha (10/5): Brilliant, well recommended. - The location was perfect - close to places of interest yet wonderfully peaceful. My little girl loved being near the animals, and it made the stay extra special that the host, Mandy, kindly let her feed the sheep.
The property had everything we needed for a comfortable family weekend, and Mandy was welcoming and attentive throughout. Nothing.
- Paul (10/5): - The perfect location.Lovely and quiet. Mandy was very easy going & helpful. The bungalow smelt lovely and fresh on arrival. All clean and tidy. Was able to park right outside the gate. Mandy purchased us milk so we could relax with a hot drink after our 3 hr drive. Nothing was too much and Mandy was kind enough to allow us extra time for packing on our moving out day. Easy to contact and we really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended and I would certainly go back. Thank you Mandy.
- Stuart (5/5): Disappointing - Rural property, sheep in field next to the garden Steep hill down to the property
Decor dated, in need of a bit of tlc
No welcome pack on arrival
- Joseph (10/5): Mandy was an excellent host. Clear directions were given before hand. Property was well kept and tidy and is landscaped - A nice and cozy property. Secluded location with good views. Easy access with key safe.

- Goran (9/5): Superb -
- Chris (8/5): Really nice accomodation in a good location - Nice property with good facilities. Very pretty part of the world and nice to see the rabbits running around in the field outside. All the facilities were good and there were nice areas outside to sit and have a coffee which was good. Local Chinese takeaway was very good as well in Llanbydder. The front door wasn't set right which made it difficult to lock but apart from that all good.
- Ben (8/5): Very good -
