We didn’t know what to do since there were no instructions provided before arrival. We were waiting outside around half an hour while staff came back from somewhere.

La présence d'un recueil de poésies de la région de Punta Arénas et la référence à Gabriela Mistral, prix Nobel. L'application systématique de la taxe de 19% en plus du prix affiché sur Booking : les étrangers en sont exemptés à condition (il y en a d'autres) de régler en USD. Toutefois, les terminaux de paiement sont souvent en pesos chiliens d'ou pas d'exemption. A le tfmise des clefs du logis, bien vérifier que tous les equipments fonctionnent correctement.

Вели переписку через букинг про трансфер до аеропорту. І! Раптом! Я вже їду автобусом з Ушуайи до Пунта Аренас і через букінг приходе сповіщення!: ваше бронювання скасоване! Овербукінг! Ні отвєта ні привета! Обманщики и подставщики! Будьте очень осторожны с ними!!! Лучше бронируйте другое жилье! Обходите их стороной!!!

• Jules (10/5): - First of all, we loved our room. It was warm, had a large and comfortable bed (not one of those cramping 'double beds') with great pillows. Our room was cleaned all four days of our stay and smelled like lavender and other beautiful scents every time we got back from sightseeing for the day. The Hostal (an American would call it a B & B) was spotlessly clean throughout and in a very nice neighborhood neither too close to nor too far from the downtown area, located on a beautiful avenue with a kind of esplanade dividing each side of the street. Our breakfast each morning was plentiful and included fresh fruit and eggs if you wanted them. We felt so at home there, and would recommend Hostal Karol to anyone visiting the lovely and fascinating city of Punta Arenas. I found nothing to criticize. All excellent.

Pani, która prowadzi hostel jest przemiła, dzięki czemu panuje tam iście domowa atmosfera. Śniadania są świetne i obfite. Było nawet guacamole domowej roboty. Lokalizacja jest bardzo dobra, do centrum 10 minut spacerkiem. Bardzo ładny widok z okna na stare drzewa.

В душевой были все принадлежности: полотенца, гели, шампуни Мы не знали, что входит завтрак - он был очень хорошим и разнообразным Из небольших минусов до комнаты не дотягивался wi-fi. Но в общей зоне все ловило

We had a great stay, the landlady is so nice and helped us and supported with a lot of information and booking the taxi to the airport. Highly recommended!

I needed to take a bus at 6pm to Ushuaia, so I told her no breakfast for me as it was too early (I took two pieces of banana to have them in my room in the morning). Surprisingly, when I came down to the lobby to leave about 5:15am, she was there, handing me a breakfast bag and asking me if I wanted coffee. Thank you!

We had the family room whose bay window faced the street. Curtains did nothing to keep out light. Had to sleep with eye mask and earplugs.

• William (8/5): Very good - Marie is a really nice host. She got up early to serve us an early breakfast before we left early for a penguin trip. She also organised a taxi for us. Its a great location, the restaurant over the road is good. Its very close to the bus terminal (you can see it!) and the centre of town. The rooms are bit dated. The pillows could do with replacing and the blind let in a lot of light in the morning. Its very homely though.

Our room was big, bed was very comfortable, shower was hot with fantastic pressure. TV in the room is a nice addition. Breakfast was simple but perfect for us and delicious - tea/coffee/juice, breads, spreads, cereals, cake, cheese/meats. Highly recommend staying here.

• Marlene (9/5): Great stay and value for money, really feels like a sweet B&B - Spacious and clean rooms, and also very central - you can walk everywhere! It feels nice and homey there, sweet B&B style. The breakfast was great, too. But the best part were the friendly owners, they helped us a lot and were always there for anything you might need. Definitely recommend!
• Alan (6/5): Pleasant stay and well located - Our host was very pleasant and the location was good, a 5 minute walk to the central square. The city cemetery was interesting and worth a visit. The facilities were dated, the water pressure was too high and shot out of the bathroom sink.
• Doug (8/5): Central location, great staff. - The staff were excellent. Late check-in was not an issue, and arrangements were made for a ahuttle from the airport that was very reasonable cost wise. It is very centrally located and near Bus Sur, which was convenient for traveling on to Torres del paine. It was a great spot to spend one night. The facilities themselves were clean though pretty dated and a bit run down.

• Stephen (8/5): Very good - Ideal location for the bus station. Staff were nice. Comfy bed, good shower, decent WiFi. Breakfast is basic but sufficient, and leveled up with home made jam and cake. Room wasn't dark and the radiator was a bit noisy.
