- James (10/5): A lovely place to stay, as described, a cosy cottage!!! - ALL! N/a
- Omair (10/5): -
- Michelle (8/5): - The cottage was really well equipped and great for a weekend break. Also in a good location near to shops and local attractions. We experienced issues with the Internet one evening and was unable to watch TV as no aerial option. It worked well the rest of the time.
- Stuart (9/5): Very cosy & convenient. - Great location for us and had everything we needed and more.
- Hannah (10/5): Brilliant, would definitely recommend. - The house was clean and felt very welcoming, with a lovely welcome hamper, beautiful back yard full of flowers and fairy lights which we ate our evening meals in and lots of comfortable, personal touches - decor, throws, cushions, plants etc. The host was lovely, checking in before our arrival time and being very friendly and personable.
- Amy (10/5): I highly recommend this place you will not be disappointed, excellent value for money. - Very warm and cosy It was clean and very warm, plus the extra touches were exceptional! And very very much appreciated.
Communication was good

- Fish (9/5): Cosy cottage - Central to the town, surprise gift for the dog & guests. Just one problem, i could easily come back for more nights slighty not overly hot shower, think it could be the mixer controller.
- Lynne (10/5): Home from home, perfect accommodation! - Very welcoming , very comfortable, home from home. Beautiful cottage, loved all the little details and quotes. Clean and very cosy, comfy beds, everything you would need for a perfect stay!
Bonus is, it’s also very convenient for shopping and public transport. Loved everything, we will return 😊
- julie (9/5): - parking a bit iffy
- Cara (10/5): Chard Carnival Stay - Cosy Cottage was perfect! We stayed to visit family and attend the carnival, which is a big event in Chard. It was the perfect spot as the carnival went straight past the house. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay. We received a welcome pack, which was lovely, and we liked how Jane kept in touch throughout our stay, checking everything was going well.
- Beggy (9/5): Absolutely lovely cottage if a bit tricky on parking - Everything- it’s just getting in & out of the parking spot which was a bit tricky- but can’t be helped I suppose The tricky parking spot
- Michael (8/5): - We stayed at the Cosy Cottage for 10 days with two adults, two children, and our Labrador. We were thrilled as soon as we entered. Everything was clean, and a welcome gift was waiting for us. The cottage is furnished with love and taste. You immediately feel at home, and our children didn't even want to go out for a walk with the dog. We highly recommend Cosy Cottage and this will certainly not be our last stay there.
- Alison (10/5): A lovely little cottage to stay in as we travel home at the end of our holiday. Really comfortable - our every need was - Really well finished - fabulous attention to detail Nothing - it is beautiful
- Teresa (9/5): - Casa muy cómoda y cuidada; se ve que el dueño ha puesto mucho mimo en ella. Una estancia muy agradable.
- Karen (10/5): Beautiful home, wonderful hosts, good location. - Superb location in Chard, close to supermarket and High Street shops. The house is very comfortable and homely, spotlessly clean and with some very welcoming details. The hosts clearly want you to feel relaxed from the moment you arrive - a wonderful stay.
- Clive (9/5): - All very good 👍 👌 👏 😊 ☺️
- PARTHA (8/5): Comfortable ,clean ,cosy property with all facilities - The owner made sure that the stay was comfortable with all the facilities and amenities provided. The owner was very helpful Although parking in front of the property with zebra crossing is not an issue but seems a bit awkward .
- Tania (10/5): Just perfect ! - Very rare to find everything for breakfast in a rental (coffee capsules, bread, butter, milk, etc.) but also personal attention on our arrival. Jane is a particularly welcoming person, there's everything you need in her charming and well-equipped cottage. Many thanks to her!
- Janet (9/5): Superb -
- Diane (10/5): Small but perfectly formed!! 😊 - This was a lovely cottage to stay in. It was immaculate. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was very good. There was everything you needed here. We were also left a welcome hamper, and so was our dog, a lovely and thoughtful thing to do. The garden was fully enclosed, so no worries about our dog getting out. There were lights around the garden which came on when it got dark, making it look very pretty.
The location was good too as it was easy to travel around to visit other locations.
Would definitely recommend and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Nothing!!

It was cute and cosy …for 4 big adults it was a small space in kitchen … but best air b n b I have stayed at
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional - A lovely cottage and a great location for exploring the local area
- Ruth (8/5): Cosy relaxing break - It is a really lovely cottage, the interior has been very thoughtfully decorated, lovely welcome basket, even one for the dog! Road noise. It is on a busy road so if you aren’t used to road noise like us then take ear plugs.
- Ruth (10/5): Extremely comfortable stay in a beautiful cottage - Beautiful comfortable cottage with so many thoughtful details.
- Clare (9/5): A great place for a cosy retreat - The host had thought of everything needed for a short stay. Evenings were very cosy by the log burner despite the snow and storm Bert.
- J (9/5): Superb -
- Matthew (10/5): Charming and immaculate, excellent value. - Beautifully presented cottage, quiet and comfortable, and the hosts went out of their way to create a welcoming environment.
- Nicola (7/5): Nice, well appointed cottage, shame about lack of heating/TV channels. - The cottage was stunning. Well thought out with lots of little trinkets around. Well stocked cupboards.
The welcome basket on arrival was nice as we had arrived late and it was pouring with rain so that was a bonus The host had told me that the heating was not working as BG needed a part they could not get until Tuesday after our stay. She said there were plenty of logs and 2 oil filled radiators upstairs. We were cold and wet on arrival and the cottage was cold. We got the fire going but used the logs on the first night. There were not that many. We had to go and buy more the next day. The heaters kept the chill off upstairs.
My friend brought the heaters down the next day, I would not have been able to do this due to osteoarthritis. This was to keep the downstairs warm until we got some more logs.
This left the upstairs cold.
Also, no terrestrial TV apart from BBC Scotland, BBC3 and BBC Parliament.
I addressed these issues but was told there should be enough wood for 2 nights (there clearly was not) and that they could never get some channels and we were to use the I Player etc...
When we left, the door key safe just fell off so I had to post the key through the door.
I let the host know this and she said no problem re door safe ( I assume happened before) Also changed story re Gas saying she could have had it done Friday but did not want to disrupt our stay. I had informed her we would not get there until late afternoon/early evening. If we had been given the option we would have had the gas fixed.
Like I say, lovely cottage and very well stocked and looked after, just a shame about the heating situation and the change of reason for the gas not being on.
We did not expect to have to go out looking to buy logs when we had paid a substantial amount for 2 nights in quite a noisy street. Lots of people about late and a lot of traffic during the evening racing by.
- Jo (10/5): Cosy cottage lives up to its name! - Location was perfect. The cottage was beautifully presented and a joy to stay in. There were lots of personal touches and Jane was a pleasure to deal with. It was home from home for us. We loved our stay. Absolutely nothing. It was perfect for my sister and I.
- Loren (10/5): Lovely friendly hosts - Lovely friendly host, good facilities.
- Susan (10/5): cosy stay at cosy cottage - Extremely well equipped and welcoming, with a much appreciated welcome pack. Sweet little garden to sit in and very comfortable beds. A perfect little spot. Just sorry we couldn't stay longer. Parking a little tricky.

The host was amazing, great communication, perfectly clean, and a welcome pack for the dog and for us, which was a great touch! Great attention to detail with many extras that enhanced our stay, including welcome pack, quality toiletries, and kitchen essentials. Everything was spotless and extremely comfortable. A much loved home from home that we look forward to returning to. There was nothing we didn't like.
- Richard (10/5): Cosy cottage - How clean and tidy property was and nicely decorated, close to local shops, local park to walk dogs.property owner Jane has thought of everything leaving welcome gifts even for my dog, half hour drive to local beaches like lyme Regis and Seaton. Rear garden small but nice, steps a little steep.
- Rachel (9/5): Superb - Cosy Cottage is very welcoming with everything you need for a short stay. It's beautifully decorated and feels like home away from home! Great location for exploring South Somerset and Dorset/Devon beaches. Everything was wonderful.
- Victor (10/5): As the name implies,an extremely cosy cottage. - Comfortable, welcome pack, facilities ,host communication.
- Rob (9/5): A comfortable stay at cost cottage. - Cosy cottage lived up to its expectations and was very clean and comfortable .The welcome gifts were very much appreciated. It had a pretty garden
which we were able to use.
It is located near the town which was good for supplies .
The host kept us informed about checkin/ out details. It is not a criticism as such just personal taste but we felt that there were a bit too many little objects scattered in all rooms . Eg - smaller bedroom had a useful shelf under a mirror but it already had items on it but would have been better if we could have used that space .Likewise with the main bedroom - dressing table needed to be cleared of some items to enable use by guests. As the bathroom was small we all felt we needed places in the bedrooms to put toiletries .
- Paula (10/5): Cosy Cottage was above & beyond our expectations, we loved it! - All the comforts of home, exceptional attention to detail, beautifully decorated, pretty courtyard garden & thoughtful welcome pack
- Phillip (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mrs (10/5): Lovely weekend escape - The cottage was cozy and comfortable, lovely welcome pack with lots of information and a food pack with the essentials including wine 😀 ideally situated to visit the Dorset coast. W
ill definitely recommend. Nothing, everything was great
- Mariana (10/5): Exceptional - We stayed for 3 night at Cosy Cottage and we are just delighted with all the facilities, the room space and cleanness.
- Tara (10/5): Amazing little gem of a cottage - This property certainly lived up to its name - cosy and beautifully decorated . The welcome package was a lovely surprise and the dog was very appreciative of his treats thank you . Everything was well equipped and clean and very convenient opposite Sainsbury’s. Fantastic host with great communication
- Tony (9/5): Lovely cottage close to local amenities and a good base for the wider area. Jane is a very thoughtfu - The cottage is really well equipped. Jane has thought of everything! It has been furnished and finished to a high standard. It lives up to its name as a cosy cottage, it truly is. I feel a bit bad saying this as it’s purely my personal taste and no reflection on the property itself but I would lose a few of the ‘live laugh love’ style decorations. A little ott on that front and not necessary as the cottage is so nice. Sorry.
- Hayley (10/5): Exceptional - Could not have asked for better accommodation. Jane and her husband have done a fantastic job of creating a home away from home. There's nothing that hasn't been thought of. Lovely little touches which really make it obvious that so much care and attention has been put into making sure every guests needs are accommodated. We were provided with a little welcome hamper which was both lovely and unexpected. Location wise, there is a sainsburys opposite the cottage and further down the road and around the corner, is a little high Street with more shops and restaurants. The cottage is approximately a 25 minute drive away from Lyme Regis. If you're thinking of booking Cosy Cottage, go for it! You will not be disappointed. Nothing.
- Comber (10/5): Perfect cottage - Absolutely amazing! Amongst the best accommodation I've ever stayed in, we really loved it. So clean, everything brand new and in excellent condition, the place is fantastic and I cannot fault it. Excellent value for money, every tiny detail has been thought of, lovely interior decorations and the garden is also beautiful. Fantastic kitchen, so well equipped with more than enough for cooking anything you want in the cottage. Lots of thoughtful touches, and a welcome hamper with essentials like milk and butter as well as some treats. Excellent communication from the host, she was also very kind and had the property ready early for us and even allowed us relaxed check out. Plenty of toiletries in the bathroom, really the standard is above anything else I have experienced of its kind, and I regularly book self catered breaks in the UK. We can't wait to come back! I also should mention the bed was so comfortable, it was easy to park nearby, plus there is a big supermarket across the road and another a few minutes drive away. Anyone considering the cottage, I strongly recommend that you book! Nothing, it's really perfect.
- Maria (10/5): We loved making family memories during our stay in Cosy Cottage. - The property was clean, tidy, well equipped. Also it was warm, beautifully decorated, very much a home. The owner had thought of all the details and even left a welcome pack. Thoroughly recommend staying Cosy Cottage. I can’t think of anything that would need changing.
- Kenneth (10/5): The property suited our needs perfectly and we look forward to a return visit in the future. - We had a very comfortable stay in this cottage. It has been renovated to a very high standard and is beautifully presented. The property is equiped with everything you may need during your stay. The beds were very comfortable and the cottage was warm & cosy. Also we appreciated the generous "Welcome Pack"provided by the owners, In fact in every way this property lived up to its name of "Cosy Cottage". Well done to the owners! There was nothing we did not like
- Alice (10/5): Cannot wait to return! - For starters, Jane's communication was excellent. She was concise, detailed and so warm from the onset and this continued throughout our stay. We walked into this lovely cottage which had everything you could possibly need but equally was so full of charm and beautiful touches. The fireplace was stocked with logs, the kitchen full of every kind of utensil you might need (as well as generous basics for breakfast, cookies, and wine). The room was so comfortable and all of the home fit every need we had. There was a lot of love put into every corner and we appreciate so much to have had the fortune of staying there.
