Guest Reviews
- Susan (9/5): - Apartment was very spacious clean and comfortable, it was situated in a great position close to all amenities, the beach shops bars and amusements all close walking distance. Not a "didn't like" but wasn't aware that the electricity was coin meter when booking, this was not a problem and was not an overly expensive addition to our stay.
- Maryanne (7/5): Perfect - Very clean ,everything you need for a short stay.Good co.muni action from owner.Info booklet in the home. Nothing
- Veronica (10/5): -
- Jonathan (7/5): - Apartment was clean and tidy with good fixtures and fittings,
major problems, fire door into apartment no 1 is a death trap as would not open or close easily took 2 of us to use .The electric is so over priced around £10 a day in £ coins while we were there would not return due to this . Major problem front door, should not be rented out untill fixed , as it is illegal as it is
- Steve (9/5): Spot on for the money - Friendly helpful owner, great value for money, ideal place to stay with a little dog 😃
- yorkshirebornandbred (8/5): -
- Worby (9/5): - The apartment was clean, cosy and comfortable...easy access,Claire who runs it was lovely and very welcoming. I didnt like the bunk beds..my kids are too old for bunk beds and I did think id booked the 2 bedroom apartment with a double bed in one room and a single and double bed I the other.but we made do :)
- Joan (10/5): Recommend people to stay here,we enjoyed Mablethorpe - Everything was really good, location perfect, lots of extras for our gr granddaughter to play with . Everything was good
- Ali (10/5): Comfortable, clean and right next to the main centre. - This is our third stay at Happy Holiday Apartments. The flats are always clean. They have everything we need and are very comfy. N/A
- Rondthaler (8/5): - Excellent location. The flat was nicely decorated and spacious . Very good value for money . The bathroom is very cold and the shower was
very temperamental.
- Simona (7/5): - it was quiet very small flat
- Rosy (7/5): Great, dog-friendly, comfy, apartment five minutes from the beach. - The location was fantastic, the bathroom was really sunny and we were comfortable relaxing of an evening. We particularly appreciated the dog friendliness, with towels for dogs provided. It was a bit nerve-wracking watching the electric meter run down in case we ran out of £1 coins.
- Lynda (9/5): Quiet , comfortable ,convenient , central . - Close to the shops , takeaways , pubs and beach . Car parking at the property and our apartment was on the ground floor . The apartment had everything we needed . Just an observation , the apartment door was very difficult to open due to it appeared new carpets ?
- susanne (10/5): - home from home feel
- Whall (9/5): Great apartment with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. - Great location with lot's of ammnaties near by and close to the beach. Host provided lot's of additional communial extras, which was a nice touch and the whole place was clean and welcoming. New carpet had been installed which felt really nice without shoes on, but made getting in and out of the front door really difficult. Worth being mindful of if you have disabilities or strength issues.
- Laura (10/5): Great apartment, suitable for 2 adults and 3 children. - Perfect little apartment very close to the beach which is everything we needed for our family.
Second time we have stayed here in 12 months. The beds are really comfy and clean and the washing smells great! Everything you'd need for a little self catering apartment for your staycation. Nothing not to like
- Martin and mel (10/5): Easter weekend - We loved how fresh the towels and linen smelt, we loved how comfy the bed was and the location. Could if done with some oven gloves And the towel rail was nowhere near the sink.
- michael (9/5): - Well located for the beach and town
Nice clean well equipped apartment private parking Could have done with some net's on the windows for a bit of privacy but everything else spot on
- Deborah (10/5): Clean, comfortable, welcoming, extremely close to beach and shops! - Excellent location. Great value for money!
- Angela (8/5): -
- Steven (1/5): Electricity not included - Nothing, all spoilt by having to pay for electricity. Greedy and dishonest !, this is what I call it when you pay £ 80 for a night and half the facilities listed ie heating, lighting, TV etc are only available if you have a bag of coins to feed the electric meter..
Sadly what could have been a nice stay ( regardless of the tiny bathroom) was tanted by this greed.
I guess I should be grateful that beds were not an optional extra
- Ian (8/5): - Location was perfect for what we needed. Sofa bed very uncomfortable and shower had very bad flow.
- Joy (10/5): A really gud stay - Everything was perfect Not being able to leave my little doggie
- Jacqui (5/5): - Close to where we needed to be Very loud guests in the room upstairs
- Diana (10/5): Perfect 😍 -
- Bunty (8/5): Very good - It was very convenient right is center of Mablethorpe Very convenient for both shops and beach
- Tina (8/5): - The very small bathroom was the only thing that let it down.
- Love (9/5): -
- Jordan (8/5): -
- Allen (7/5): Brilliant location - The location The door wouldn't shut in the bedroom and the door wouldn't shut properly in the living room
- Dean (5/5): - You could see from the offset the property was kept well and even tha art work was nice the dog towels etc was a great touch
Location was great and a very nice flat My only moan is for a winter let the heaters on the wall are poor in the main living room and in the toilet which having a shower wasn't nice even thou I kept feeding the £1 coin meter we just couldn't get the flat warm spending around £10 a day with us being out most days if this could get sorted out this would be an even better flat
- Mercer (10/5): Fantastic - Perfect location, spacious accommodation
- Fiona (8/5): - We really enjoyed our stay, location is excellent, close to the town and all shops, amenities and the beach.
The apartment was clean, warm and comfortable with lots of extras provided, everything has been thought of and we would definitely stay here again 🙂
- Laura (8/5): - Clean, nice location. Nice apartment. Had to pay for electric
- Paul (8/5): Clean and comfortable, met our needs for a weekend break, communication with the owners very good - Clean and comfortable , met our needs for the scooter weekend I would have liked the check out to have been later.
- Su (8/5): Great stay - Great location and really well kept accommodation. Thoughtful extra touches like dog towels and children's toys. Designated parking spaces. Difficult to keep the place warm - but it was the end of October!
- Jane (1/5): -
- Christie (1/5): -
- Henson (8/5): - It had everything you needed for a long weekend away
- Richard (9/5): Definitely stay again - Lovely apartment with everything we needed. Perfect location for the town and sea front. Onsite parking, dog friendly and very friendly staff. Perfect short stay. Nothing
- 121 (10/5): - Beautiful flat double bedroom and bunk beds with double bed on bottom bunk bathroom was really big and in front was a kitchen/front will b back next year just a shame i had 2 come home I didnt like the fact I had 2 coke home
- Lorna (6/5): - Location, reasonable price, clean 2 flights of stairs were quite difficult to manage with luggage for pensioners. The email with instructions for check-in was apparently sent whilst we were travelling. It might be an idea to send via the booking.com app or prior to the day of travelling.
- Ann (8/5): Would stay again. - Near to beach and sea. Very pleasant owner.
Had everything we needed. Bedroom needed to be bigger. Bed ok but could not get round it as it was pushed up against the wall for door to open.
- Stephen (9/5): Close to town and great beds - The beds were so comfy, probably the comfiest we've slept in! So many extras supplied, iron, dog bowls, hair dryer, I could go on. It was top floor but that was my fault for not checking. It did make me feel safe to leave window open at nighy
- Lisa (10/5): Excellent stay great value - Excellent stay , great value for money , great location, good size room , friendly hosts The only negative was it had a clock that chimed every hour, very annoying had to take batteries out .
- Clegg (9/5): Great, simple little apartment close to the beach - The host was so helpful, friendly and responsive. The location was perfect too! There was little or no net curtains
- David (9/5): Had a really nice and relaxing time only 5 mis walk to Queen’s Park and the beach, - Location, Price and accommodation where spot on. Nothing
- Eldho (10/5): - Good location walkibg distance to beach. All good
- carol (6/5): - Location was excellent Noisy people above
- howe (10/5): - Very friendly staff.
Location was spot on we had so much fun The settee and bed were a little uncomfortable but everything else was great
- Jean (8/5): - Spacious ground floor Parking spot a bonus. Toilet didnt have much of a flush and handle was loose
- John (8/5): -
- McCann (9/5): - The property was chosen based on location to the sea, dog friendly, distance from home and price. This property ticked all boxes. We were very close to both the town and sea front. One minor issue was a leaky kettle, but for a couple of mornings it wasn't a major issue.
- Matthew (7/5): Convenient base for the local area and events. - Convenient, we used it as a base for attending the superbikes at Cadwell Park (35 mins drive).
Well equipped for what we needed for the couple of nights we were there.
The metal bunk beds were very squeaky unfortunately, especially with two fidgety girls in them. Not a lot the owners can do about the noise in the area, but our apartment faced the road so we had a lot of disturbamce from traffic and the local pubs until the early hours of the morning.
- Julie (6/5): - Close to shops and beach. Needs updating
- Little (8/5): I had a comfortable and peaceful stay at Happy Holidays Apartments. - The apartment was immaculately cleaned throughout. The towels provided were lovely and fluffy. Full kitchen. Adequate space throughout. It was a welcome change from the B&B experience, for certain. There was no freezer available, and I like my ice cream. The electricity is supplied through a pay-as-you-go meter that's coin fed. On my low consumption I made £2 last 4 days, so it's not very expensive, just a hassle.
- Johanna (9/5): -
- Lisa (10/5): - Very clean and welcoming N/A
- N (10/5): Clean, safe feeling for me on my own, reliable, cosy. - It's simply home from home.
- Emma (10/5): -
- Crystal (10/5): Very pleasant - Lovely apartments with everything you need there for self catering. Very cheap on the electric meter (I used just over £ 1 for 3 nights, I was out most of the day though.) Around a 5 minute walk to beach and high street shops. I will definitely stay here again. Only thing I would say is the shower pressure wasn't the best, however with the water going to a few apartments that could be the reason. It didn't stop me from showering at all though.
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Graham (10/5): The whole stay was 10/10 - Everything was excellent. There was nothing not to like
- Ann (10/5): Really enjoyed and would book again - Very clean , very comfortable, Nothing to dislike
- Piotr (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (8/5): Very good - Excellent location
- Holly (10/5): Lovely place for a few days away close to very thing and very clean, look forward to returning - Very clean
- Craig (8/5): Very good -
- Reginalda (10/5): Exceptional - Location was great just a 5 min walk to town and sea front lots of places to eat.
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- Barbara (10/5): Lovely place great location - Ideal location had everything we needed Nothing
- Michael (8/5): Very good -
- Ali (10/5): Lovely flats and owners - Communication before arrival was great. We were easily able to access our accommodation.
The flats are clean and comfortable. They have everything you need, even washing up liquid and a tea towel.
The variety in the size of flats is great for our growing family. It means there is always something suitable.
It's really close to all the local attractions to. Nothing this is the second time we have been and we plan to return.
- Emily (7/5): When coming back to Mablethorpe we will be staying here again. A lot of the locals say the owners are wonderful people. - Property had free parking and an allocated space for each apartment. Great idea having toys/dvds etc in the reception to use. Fab location as right where you need to be for everything. Had towels to use also. The electric didn’t cost much to run at all! Large comfy beds. Clean apart from a few cobwebs in windows. Easy to access with key box and code. Great communication before visit from owners. Quite a few stairs to get to property number 5 with a pushchair. Sometimes other guests didn’t lock the front door.
- Graham (7/5): Good -
- Williams (10/5): Exactly what we needed - The owners were on hand if we needed them. We did once and they were excellent at helping. It's hall way between the paddling pool and town so great for reduced mobility people. We were on the second floor but was still much better for my mum who struggles with long distances.
There are picnic blankets, books and dvds to borrow is toy want to and the electricity is a fan price! Cost us maybe a fiver for the week. Nothing really. Maybe instructions for how to use the heaters. Dropped a little cold over day and considered using one for my daughter, but have up and warmed quickly the next day anyway.
- L3301 (8/5): Comfortable, clean and great priced accommodation. - Off road parking. Location. Room plans. Clean place.
- Chris (6/5): OK ish - next to shops no dvd player cleaner was not nice very ignoring of anyone
- Debs (1/5): Bad - Location was excellent The sofa was filthy. Black stains all over and we had to use a throw off the bed to put on it to sit on it. No hot water either.
- Claire (8/5): We had a lovely stay and had everything we needed for a few nights away. Hosts were lovely too. - The apartment was very clean and the location was great.
- Andy (4/5): Disappointing -
- Lee (10/5): Brillant - Absolutely brillant place to stay, everything you need is there.couldnt ask for anymore.
Nothing to much trouble for Claire and Steve.
100% be using next time in mablethorpe.
- Jason (10/5): Perfect, We have rebooked all the rooms for next year. - Perfect location, short walk to the town centre
- Natasha (8/5): Very good -
- Rondthaler (6/5): It was lovely - Best location . The shower was very temperamental
- Darren (8/5): Lovely stay - Great location for everything. Just a short walk to the beach and town. Able to park on property. Dogs very welcome. Would definitely stay there again. Nothing to complain about. We only stayed for a couple of nights so although self catering we didn't use the cooking facilities. Also can't really comment on the hosts as we didn't meet them. They send a code for the key box and you just let yourself in which we are absolutely fine with but some people might want to be welcomed by the hosts.
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Samantha (10/5): Had an great few nights will definitely be staying again - Brilliant location. Great place with lovely touches Easter chocolates dvds and player colours book and toys. Nothing
- Boulby (9/5): Superb -
- N (10/5): Lovely place to stay! - Such a lovely home from home near the sea.
- Amanda (7/5): Clean and comfortable and extremely good value for money - Location was excellent being very near to shops, beach and all the amenities you expect from a seaside town. The Flat was very clean and comfortable offering jigsaw puzzles, toys, books and games for the children, very thoughtful. Bearing in mind the value for money of our stay, I really don't think I could fault what was on offer.
- Izzard (4/5): Ok - Cost of electric meter extortionate there was nothing on the website to advise that there was a meter. It cost over £7 for 3 hours fire usage as the flat was freezing had to wear coats all the time and therefore left one day early as to expensive to heat
- Martin (8/5): Very good -
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Russell (7/5): Good - Brilliant location, right in the heart of the town centre Constantly putting £1 coins into the meter to the tune of c£15 per day
- Jamie (10/5): 10/10. Hopefully have space at Easter for my return visit. - Clean. Warm. All kitchen white goods to use. Private parking. Clean beds. Fresh towels. Hot shower. Toys and games for my children. Only a message away if I had issues but didn’t have to. Definitely recommend. We will be returning for sure.
- Tracey (8/5): Very good - Close to beach. Cosy flat nice to have added things to use soap, shower gel ect. The electric cost quite a bit.
- Lauren (10/5): Exceptional -
- Simone (8/5): Very good - Location is excellent.
- Antonia (1/5): If you have children or want a relaxed hoilday NEVER go to happy hoilday apartments HORRIBLE. - Not one thing the apartment was horrible, damp walls ,cooker under a shelving unit ,cooker not working, money meter for electricity that was no good ,heaters fixed to damp well walls when on so giving no heat at all I would of been warmer outside it was that cold in the apartments and I had my disabled child with me so am very much not happy I will never stay there again, there was no welcome and no change of towels or bedding never would I tell anyone to stay in one of the happy holiday apartments NEVER Happy holiday apartments HORRIBLE place
